A man from Michigan is suing his parents, saying they threw out $29,000 worth of porn and intimacy gadgets he collected over several decades, a local Fox affiliate reported.

The 40-year-old had moved into his parents' home in Michigan after a 2016 divorce and left for Muncie, Indiana, in August 2017, Fox 17 reported, citing a lawsuit filed in federal court in Michigan.

But he said that when his parents came by to drop off the rest of his stuff 10 months later, 14 boxes full of adult toys, magazines, and movies were missing.

The man now wants nearly $87,000 in damages from his parents, Fox 17 said.

A screenshot of the lawsuit included in the Fox 17 report said the parents told their son in an email: "We counted twelve moving boxes full of pornography plus two boxes of intimacy gadgets, as you call them. We began that day the process of destroying them and it took quite a while to do so."

Fox 17 said the man then told his parents in an email: "If you had a problem with my belongings, you should have stated that at the time and I would have gone elsewhere. Instead you choose to keep quiet and behave vindictively."

The man's father said in an email included in the lawsuit that he threw out the stash for his son's mental and emotional health, adding: "I would have done the same if I had found a kilo of crack cocaine. Someday, I hope you will understand."

Before launching his legal challenge, the man reported the incident to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office, but it did not file charges against the parents, Fox 17 said.

The man sent one officer 44 emails listing all the vintage porn movies destroyed, according to the Fox 17 report. Two of the titles lost in the trash were "Frisky Business" and "Big Bad Grannys," The Associated Press reported.

Pornhub, one of the world's most popular pornography websites, has weighed in, and offered the man a lifetime subscription to its premium service if he drops the suit.

Pornhub told INSIDER: "We're very serious about lending a helping hand and helping this family patch things up."

Facebook paid its CEO an additional $13 million for his personal security and travel costs in 2018, according to a proxy filing on Friday. That included a new $10 million pre-tax allowance for additional security costs such as security guards, equipment, services and residential improvements.

"He is synonymous with Facebook and, as a result, negative sentiment regarding our company is directly associated with, and often transferred to, Mr. Zuckerberg," said the filing.

Like many wealthy CEOs, Zuckerberg receives an official salary of $1 a year. He also did not receive bonuses or stock awards in 2018. However, Zuckerberg's total compensation jumped from $9.1 million in 2017 to $22.6 million in 2018 in order to cover the increase in security costs for the high-profile CEO.

The increase is partially the result of specific threats against Zuckerberg and Facebook's (FB) high visibility, according to the company.

Facebook pays for Zuckerberg and his family's personal security at his homes and when he travels. Approximately $2.6 million of Zuckerberg's compensation package in 2018 was for private aircraft travel, which the company said was part of the security program.

The company is entering the second year of a seemingly non-stop series of scandals. It has been under fire for everything from personal privacy issues following revelations that data-firm Cambridge Analytica collected information on 87 million Facebook users, to enabling the spread of white supremacy and hate speech on the platform. Those events have drawn a large amount of exposure for the company and its 34-year-old co-founder.

"Mr. Zuckerberg is one of the most-recognized executives in the world, in large part as a result of the size of our user base and our continued exposure to global media, legislative, and regulatory attention," said the filing.

The filing said Facebook also increased the amount of money it put towards COO Sheryl Sandberg's personal security by $1.1 million.
Zuckerberg is one of the richest people in the world and is worth just over $70 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaire's index.

Men’s beards carry more germs than dogs do in their fur, a study has found. Scientists looked at the levels of bacteria lurking in 18 men’s facial hair and 30 dogs from different breeds.

“The researchers found a significantly higher bacterial load in specimens taken from the men’s beards compared with the dogs’ fur,” Professor Andreas Gutzeit, of Switzerland’s Hirslanden Clinic, said.

The study was designed to find out if there was a risk of humans picking up a disease from dogs if they used the same MRI scanner as a vet, reports the Mail on Sunday. It found that all the man, aged from 18 to 76, had high microbial counts – while seven had bacteria which were hazardous to human health. Only 23 of the dogs had high microbial counts, with the rest being moderate.

When the MRI scanners were disinfected, researchers found higher levels of bugs after the men had used it. “On the basis of these findings, dogs can be considered as clean compared with bearded men,” said Dr Gutzeit. Still, men with beards were also found to be better boyfriends in a separate study – so you may have some weighing up to do, Metro.co.uk reported.

Situs inversus with levocardia is rare, occurring about once in every 22,000 births. It is normally associated with life-threatening heart issues and other abnormalities, making Mrs Bentley's long life even more exceptional.

Dr Walker estimates that only one in 50 million people born with this condition live into adulthood. He and his colleagues believe Mrs Bentley may be the oldest person known to live with this condition. Scientists are aware of only two other cases where patients reached the age of 70.

"None of my colleagues had ever seen a donor with situs inversus and some of them had been teaching for more than 30 years," Dr Walker said. "I've never seen anything like that."

"The students, I think, will never forget it," he added.

A US woman who died at 99 of natural causes unknowingly lived with her organs on the wrong side of her body due to a rare congenital condition.

Rose Marie Bentley, a pet feed store owner who passed away in October 2017, donated her body to research at a university in Portland, Oregon.

Students in an anatomy class were the first to notice many of her organs were not where they were supposed to be.

Despite multiple surgeries, her condition had not been identified.

Doctors are stunned that Mrs Bentley was able to live such a long and healthy life despite her condition.

She had situs inversus with levocardia, which means her liver, stomach and other abdominal organs were reversed right to left - the mirror image of a typical human anatomy. Her heart, however, remained in the normal position, on the left side of her body.

The condition is "surpassingly unusual", said Dr Cam Walker, an assistant professor of anatomy at Oregon Health and Science University, who helped students in his class unravel the mystery of Mrs Bentley's body.

Dr Walker told the BBC the discovery began while his students were dissecting the cardiovascular cavity and were unable to locate a major vessel. The finding started a "cascade effect" as they realised that Mrs Bentley's body was particularly unique.
