EFCC Press Release: N109m Scam: Three Civil Service Commission Staff Docked By Wilson Uwujaren, AG.Head, EFCC Media & Publicity Unit The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on April 3, 2012, arraigned three staff of the Federal Civil Service Commission before Justice Maryann Anennih of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT High Court on a 12 count charge bordering on fraud, conspiracy to commit fraud, forgery and fraudulent conversion of funds of the Commission to the tune of over N109 million. The accused persons: Hassan Mohammed Tukur, Babatunde Abisuga and Mohammed Ndakupe (all Account staff of the Federal Civil Service Commission) pleaded not guilty to all the 12 charges preferred against them by the EFCC. Prosecution counsel, Sylvannus Tahir, then asked the court for a date for the commencement of trial while urging the court to remand the accused persons in prison as EFCC detention facilities were no longer available. Counsel to the accused persons, M.A. Ebuka prayed the court to grant the accused persons bail on lenient terms as they have been on EFCC’s administrative bail and that bail was discretionary. In her ruling, Justice Anennih directed that the bail application for the accused persons be heard on Thursday April 5, 2012; and remanded them in Kuje prison. Count One of the 12 count charge reads: That you Hassan Mohammed Tukur, Babatunde Abisuga and Mohammed Ndakupe, being officials of the Accounts Department of the Federal Civil Service Commission, sometime between October and November 2010 at Abuja in the Abuja Judicial Division of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, did conspire amongst yourselves to do an illegal act, to wit: conspired to take dishonestly the sum of N109,952,171.61 (One Hundred and Nine Million, Nine Hundred and Fifty Two Thousand, One Hundred and Seventy One Naira and Sixty One Kobo) only from First Bank of Nigeria Plc Account No. 4062040010584, property of the Federal Civil Service Commission without its consent and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 97 of the Penal Code Cap 532 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria (Abuja) 1990. http://saharareporters.com/news-page/efcc-press-release-n109m-scam-three-civil-service-commission-staff-docked |
Cross River communities cry out over dumping of refugees in their localities News Wednesday, March 28, 2012 Three communities in Obanliku Local Government Area of Cross River State have cried out over the dumping of Fulani refugees in their localities allegedly by the Benue State Government. The refugees, who are Fulani herdsmen, are said to be indigenes of Taraba State. Speaking to newsmen on the development, the clan heads of Utanga, Bagga and Besenge communities frowned at the idea of 4,000 Fulani refugees being escorted by armed soldiers, were brought and dumped in their localities without first informing them and seeking their consent. They, therefore, want the refugees taken to Taraba if the Benue State Government feels it can no longer accommodate them in Katsina Ala, where they were originally domiciled. According to them, the refugees, who were brought into the area at midnight, came with about 25 herds of cattle which have started grazing on their farm land. http://odili.net/news/source/2012/mar/28/308.html |
I found Ojukwu's speech at Ahiara quite persuasive as he trained his vision on Nigeria's problems and concluded that "We in Biafra are convinced that the Black man can never come into his own until he is able to build modern states based on indigenous African ideologies, to enjoy true independence, to be able to make his mark in the arts and sciences and to engage in meaningful dialogue with the white man on a basis of equality. When he achieves this, he will have brought a new dimension into international affairs." The above is why I detest one-nigerianists. Africa shall remain underdeveloped if it fails to fashion out its own means of reaching greater heights. If African states continue to rely on western powers, it shall everly remained doomed. I fervetly believe that the "economic, socio-political, modernisation and scientific" liberation of Africa and the black man at large is heavily dependent on the disintegration of the dungeon called nigeria. It is only then that one of the nations that will rise from the rubbles of nigeria can prosper,,,,,even put a man on the moon . Nigeria shall everly remain a dungeon for the "spirit is not and will never be one". A closer look at nigeria will tell you that it's a country without a foundation. How can one explain continued marginalization of a region that tries against ALL ODDS to produce some form of goods? In a Biafran country, this will NEVER happen ![]() TO DISINTEGRATE THE NIGERIAN DUNGEON IS A TASK THAT MUST BE DONE IN THE INTEREST OF ALL BLACK MEN! ![]() |
First of all, this thread is STRICKLY intended for those who have human brains and not maggot brains. It gives me joy to know that somebody of SW extraction had actually taken time out to read and UNDERSTAND the Ahiara declaration and how such philosophy (if implemented) could propel any African state unto greater heights. In the philosophy of Ahiara declaration, there is "NO BORN TO RULE" mentality, everything is based on MERIT. Again, I will encourage any would-be-reader to pay extra attention @ the bolded, before making coment(s). I do not want this to be another "Biafran-circus" debate. This thread is intended for smart and discerning minds who are capable of interpreting events objectively, devoid of any form of tribalism. This thread will also help in exposing those who could not attain 5 O'Level credits in their GCE/SSCE . |
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tokunbo Ogunbiyi Tuesday, March 6, 2012 toksalpha@gmail.com London, UK ANNOUNCE THIS ARTICLE TO YOUR FRIENDS OJUKWU (III): THE ULTIMATE NIGERIAN TRUTH n the history of European nations the second world war is used to mark a divide in history; a watershed if you choose. The post war period is to European leaders the new renaissance. In other words, the post war period is assumed or supposed to mark a coming of age. The conduct of European affairs since then has been based on a dialogue intended to remove war as a means of settling European disputes. That dialogue was variously the Iron and Steel Federation and later the European Economic Community and most recently the European Union. Aside from the physical and infrastructural reconstruction masterminded by the US through the Marshall Plan, agro-industrial rejuvenation with attendant food security has been one of the key policy thrusts of the European Union's post war efforts. I have gone on this rather long introduction to draw attention to the sharp contrast with the post-war situation of Nigeria. According Professor Francis Idachaba, agricultural economist and former vice chancellor of the University of Agriculture, Makurdi and more recently of Kogi State University, Nigeria is blessed with unparalleled agro-ecological attributes that would make us competitors with Brazil at least and ahead of South Africa in terms of food production let alone other agro-industrial endeavours. The not so subtle point to make is that the pattern of Nigeria-Biafra war and the consequent post war settlement meant that Nigeria won the war and lost much else beside! In the annals of our nation we are at best an underdeveloped nation far behind other medium-sized countries like Indonesia, Argentina and Brazil etc and even relatively small in size and resource-poor countries like Singapore. The Nigeria-Biafra war was fought on the premise that the side favoured by external powers must 'win'. But having won, the creditors who engineered that victory have come to collect on their investment and having collected they have left Nigeria bereft! INTERNATIONAL SUPPORT FOR NIGERIA'S WAR In prosecuting the war, Nigeria relied on British military and diplomatic support coupled with copious amounts of Soviet armour and the aviation skills of Egyptian pilots. The manner in which the war was prosecuted and its ultimate abrupt ending with Ojukwu's sudden departure and Biafra's capitulation ensured a Nigerian Federal victory which though declared as 'no victor, no vanquished' was in practice interpreted as the north of Nigeria had won the war. In the absence of a post-war roundtable and with the people of the Calabar, Ogoja and Rivers Provinces now comfortably ensconced in their two states, South East and Rivers, the Igbo were isolated and emasculated in the East-Central State. There was a presumption of rehabilitation, reconciliation and reconstruction but these were exclusively on the terms and according to an agenda set by the victor, the Federal Government. The contrast with how post-war Europe organised itself is evident so that even the Japanese, not a European power and also on the losing side of World War II very quickly became a global economic power rising from the ruins of war. In Nigeria, only Igbo did not have a military presence on the Supreme Military Council being represented by the university teacher who was also the 'administrator' of the East-Central State, Mr (later Dr) Ukpabi Asika. In Germany even though most of the German intelligentsia had sided with Hitler and the Nazis, the post-war Allied agreement managed to find a lowly municipal official to whom political power could be entrusted in West Germany. It was Dr Konrad Adenauer as post-war Chancellor along with his economics minister, Ludwig Erhard who laid the foundations for the modern unified German state but also engineered the German economic miracle which endures even till today. In Nigeria the talent pool of Biafran intellectuals and engineers and scientists would not be used and no gains accruing from the war would be harnessed for the wider Nigerian state. HOSTAGE TO FOREIGN INTERESTS In time Nigeria became first a client state dependent on the western nations that had sponsored her ultimately pyrrhic victory and eventually beholden to ancillary interests that had supported her war effort. In his speech at Ahiara on 1 June 1969, General Odumegwu-Ojukwu said amongst other things "Our struggle has far-reaching significance. It is the latest recrudescence in our time of the age-old struggle of the black man for his full stature as man. We are the latest victims of a wicked collusion between the three traditional scourges of the black man - racism, Arab-Muslim expansionism and white economic imperialism. Playing a subsidiary role is Bolshevik Russia seeking for a place in the African sun. Our struggle is a total and vehement rejection of all those evils which blighted Nigeria, evils which were bound to lead to the disintegration of that ill-fated federation. Our struggle is not a mere resistance - that would be purely negative. It is a positive commitment to build a healthy, dynamic and progressive state, such as would be the pride of black men the world over ". I shall identify three points that concur with Ojukwu's observation. In the period 1970 - 1975 no serious attempt was made to establish a new constitutional arrangement with transfer of power to a democratically elected civil democratic ruler. Ojukwu foreshadowed this at Ahiara as follows: "Since in the thinking of many white powers a good, progressive and efficient government is good only for whites, our view was considered dangerous and pernicious: a point of view which explains but does not justify the blind support which these powers have given to uphold the Nigerian ideal of a corrupt, decadent and putrefying society". To the western nations and especially Britain, a suitable African ally had been found and the status quo was suitable for their interest even though it implied instability for Africa's largest nation. Nigeria joined the Arab League inspired boycott of Israel in 1973 with a break in diplomatic relations. In this situation Nigeria which ought to have been the leader of the Black African states was a mere follower. But Nigeria was in no position to resist the Arab countries after it had accepted so much support in form of technical aid from Egypt? Since the postwar period Arab-Muslim expansionism has targeted Nigeria as fertile ground for the establishment of a Wahabi style Islamic state with persistent recurrent crises, whose perpetual and consistent recrudescence is with us till today! The late General Murtala Muhammed was once reported to say that when the war ended, General Gowon would be like a conquering emperor who would listen to no other views but his own and dictate terms to all and sundry including those who made his victory possible. The truth that Nigeria has had to face is that in winning the war they way it did, its political, economic and cultural evolution has been set back so far that Africa has been described as the third world of the third world. That Douglas Hurd (now Lord Hurd of Westwell), then British Foreign Secretary exposes the putrid truth that Africa is so far behind other developing countries in South -East Asia and Latin America that it is best simply to refer to Africa as 'underdeveloped'. The key cause of Africa's continued underdevelopment is Nigeria's inability to prove itself a worthy leader! FACING THE FUTURE Nigeria has not been able to get a measure of its own self so how could it possibly lead Africa and the black race? The Nigerian public space has been conducted as though it were a contest between the major ethnic nationalities - Hausa - Fulani, Igbo, Yoruba and the ethnic minorities. This script which is essentially a colonial script designed to make the natives easy to manipulate and govern, has remained largely unchanged so Nigeria's political evolution has stuttered and been stifled. In the process a globalising world evolved and Nigeria was caught napping; and being such a dominant African state the entire sub-Saharan African region was in a state between moribund paralysis and nacroleptic stupor by the time this new economic order was being forged. Chief Ernest Shonekan Head of State and Head of the ill-fated Interim National Government from 26 August 1993 to November 17 1993 said thatthough Nigeria was regarded as the natural leader of Africa, yet after 33 years our dreams, hopes and aspirations have not been fully realised. When he achieves this, he will have brought a new dimension into international affairs." Other Nigerian leaders have also trained their vision goggles on Nigeria's problems. In his speech at Jaji on 12th September, 1977, General Obasanjo in his first incarnation as Head of the Nigerian state also wrestled in his mind with the philosophical question of what Nigeria should be and then concluded that Nigeria should be a just and humane African society . General Gowon sought how to build a just and egalitarian society full of opportunities for its citizens. Before him , General JTU Aguiyi-Ironsi was concerned with how the restore and then maintain law and order, whilst after Gowon, the late General Murtala Muhammed concluded that 'Nigeria had been left to drift'! Alhaji Shehu Shagari seemed to sum it moost correctly when he said that 'there is a need for dedicated leadership and citizenry imbued with faith to cultivate a widespread feeling for one Nigeria' But Nigerians do not on the whole feel a commitment to the idea of one Nigeria. It was General Abacha who described Nigeria as a 'cannibalised contraption'. Indeed today Nigerians see Nigeria in terms of a fallen elephant with everyone hustling to get their own cut. The main anchor on which national misrule has been anchored is 'tribalism'. Closely allied with tribalism is corruption. The late General Shehu Musa Yar'Adua said of Nigerian government officials, "it isn't that the officials are corrupt but that corruption is official". Of all the Nigerian leaders past and present, one is seen as having enthroned corruption as a doctrine of state and made graft an elegant instrument of state policy. Many Nigerians feel that Nigeria has never recovered from General Ibrahim Babangida's rule from August 27, 1985 until his departure from office on August 27, 1993 after his annulment of elections held on June 12 that year. With such a plethora of morass and decay Nigeria may appear beyond redemption? But that would be a defeatist approach as I in common with so many other patriots believe that Nigeria has sych spectacular potentialities that it can only be a success story. The incumbent, President Goodluck Jonathan has a challenge the scientific galvanisation of the energies, talents and skills of the teeming millions of our people and the effective and efficient utilisation of these for the construction of a new national paradigm. Can Dr Jonathan do it? I believe that with goodwill and national support he can. Afterall look at what the Biafrans, a part of Nigeria achieved, as recalled by Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu at a lecture he gave during the TSM Diamond Lecture on February 22, 1994, "In the three years of war necessity gave birth to invention. During those three years of historic bound we leapt across a great chasm that separates knowledge from know-how. We built rockets, and we designed and built our own delivery systems. We guided our rockets. We guided them far; we guided them accurately. For three years, blockaded without hope of imports, we maintained all our vehicles. The state extracted and refined petrol, individuals refined petrol in their back gardens. We built and maintained our airports; maintained them under heavy bombardment. "Despite the heavy bombardment, we recovered so quickly after each raid that we were able to maintain the record for the busiest airport in the continent of Africa. We spoke to the world through telecommunication systems engineered by local ingenuity; the world heard us and spoke back to us! We built armoured cars and tanks. We modified aircraft from trainers to fighters, from passenger aircraft to bombers". If the Biafrans could do it then why not the Nigerians now Source:http://nigeriaworld.com/feature/publication/ogunbiyi/031912.html |
Buyayaha These lazy northern parasites never cease to amaze me when it comes to free OIL money. These clowns will always turn logic upside downn. I believe if the north gets back power, then this issue of 13% derivation will be overturned, as they already have a majority in the legislator due to their fake population figures,,,,,I guess it's their gift for convincing the rest of southern nigeria into accepting the "one-nigerian" slogan back in 1967.Then again, what is right is right, and what is wrong is wrong. If the oil were to be located up north in the chad basin, we all know what the outcome would have been and we will not be having this conversation. This issue will not go away as long as the dungeon called nigeria remains. The north sees the control of oil resources in the ND thesame way they see the control of nigeria as their birth right . May those with the best arguement win . |
I have been saying it that this thing called Abagworo is the new Ukpabi Asika in Igboland. It will be wise for Ndigbo to rid itself of such fools,,,for they say the enemy you know is better than the enemy you don't know. I can't believe Igboland is still breeding traitors like this frikin' maggot called Abagworo . |
Only a fool will trust these desert rats otherwise known as northerners . These stinking hausa/fulani rats are the most slimy devils you can think of,,,cowards that will attack children. I have no sympathy for any southerner who remains naive with regards to these northern devilish schemes .TRUST A NORTHERNER AT YOUR OWN PERIL .TO DISINTEGRATE THE NIGERIAN DUNGEON IS A TASK THAT MUST BE DONE ![]() |
According to the 60-year-old man who is also a part-time pastor with the Living Faith Church, Awe, "initially, when Aliyu started working with me, I was paying him salary but it got to a stage that we had an arrangement that I would be giving him one cow every six months. The moral of this whole saga is: "trust a fulani herdsman at your own peril". This goes to folks who keep saying northerners are trustworthy. well, there you have it . |
Herdsman machetes, burns boss to take possession of his cows Written by Sunday, March 18, 2012 THE decision of a cow rearer, Pastor Pekun Olusola, to employ a Fulani herdsman, Ahmadu Aliyu, who would help in caring for the animals almost proved fatal for him on Tuesday March 13, 2012 when the man macheted him and afterwards ignited a fire which he thought would burn his boss to death along the way to his farm in Awe town, Oyo State. Reason: He was alleged to have thought of taking over his master's animals! Narrating his experience to Sunday Tribune on his hospital bed at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, where he was transferred to after initial admission at State Hospital, Oyo, Pastor Olusola, who revealed that he had been in farming business for about 14 years said he employed Aliyu about four years ago to take care of his cows and sheep. According to the 60-year-old man who is also a part-time pastor with the Living Faith Church, Awe, "initially, when Aliyu started working with me, I was paying him salary but it got to a stage that we had an arrangement that I would be giving him one cow every six months. "I didn't always go to the farm to check him since he is on my land but last year, I got an information that he had sold four out of my 28 cows. I didn't want to make any fuss about so I called him to my house and spoke to him, advising him to stop it. This was someone who would come to me for money and I didn't have, I would tell him to take one of my sheep and sell. There was even a time he told me he wanted to marry a second wife and he did not have money. I asked him to take one cow and sell. "On Tuesday March 13, I was in the poultry when he called to inform me that one of my cows had delivered, that I should come and check her. I didn't let him know when I would come so as to catch him unawares. I went to the farm that very day and as was my usual practice, I started counting my cows. One of his brothers staying with him brought his own cows but I asked that they be separated. "I counted 21 instead of 28, so I realised that seven were missing. I did not say anything, I just said I was going, having the thought of inviting him to my house later. He started explaining that there was one cow which had mated and was pregnant and another one which was sick in the bush. I told him not to worry, that I wanted to go home. He persuaded me to check on the sick one and I agreed. I asked him to ride my motorcycle but he didn't agree, so I rode the bike and he sat behind me. "We left the bush and hit the main road. Suddenly, I felt the slash of a cutlass as Aliyu hit my head. I fell down from the bike and he used my jacket, which I usually wore to protect myself from wind, to wrap my head, just as he continued to machete me on the head. He also landed the machete on my right wrist which I was trying to use to protect my head. The wrist was dangling and it was only held to the rest of the arm by a thin layer of flesh. He would call 'Daddy' and I would reply: 'Aliyu, why are you doing this to me?' The more I talked, the more he would inflict further machete cuts on me. When I realised his intention, I kept quiet. Before I knew what was happening, he removed the fuel hose connected to the tank of my bike and set it ablaze, and he put me beside it. I became unconscious but God brought me back to life about an hour after. People were passing by and I was calling them but instead of coming to my rescue, they were running away. About an hour after, I saw a man with a dane gun, I asked him to help me but he said 'but Baba, you are dead. I am seeing your brain.' I replied that I would not die. I asked him to check my pocket for my phone. Aliyu had earlier removed one of my phones and a sum of N13,000. "The man could not get through to the number I asked him to call but he called SARS operatives. In 30 minutes, they were there. They also never believed I could survive it but they took me to State Hospital, Oyo where I was taken to the theatre and they sutured my head and my wrist. They also took care of the burns. They later told me that the condition of the wrist would demand better healthcare facilities, that was how I was referred to UCH on Wednesday March 14." The farmer said he believed Aliyu's action was premeditated one and was planned alongside his brother, his wife and two young Fulani boys who were on the farm that day. "When I was leaving that day, Aliyu's wife looked at me strangely. It was later I linked that look with her husband's action," he said. Stating that if he were to say anything on Aliu's action, he would ask that he should be let off. "He wanted me dead, but God said I will live. However, for others to learn that crime does not pay, let justice be done according to the law", Pastor Olusola said. Sunday Tribune gathered that the suspect, Aliu, had been arrested by the police and was in detention at Durbar Division confirming the arrest, the Police Public Relations Officer in Oyo State, Ms Olabisi Okuwobi, said the police were on the hunt for the suspect's brother whom he claimed connived with him to attack the pastor. Okuwobi added that the case would be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Iyaganku for further investigations. |
Aigbofa: What exactly is your grouse with the Ooni? He has a girlfriend? He imports vegetable oil? Nigerians pretend there is no AIDS and gays in Africa? You're the one off point. My grouse with the royal father are as follows: Why is he cutting out the middle men, who could have made something from this deal? Why is he disrupting the natural flow of things, by that I mean why use state resources to give undue advantage to a close female companion? Nuff said |
For those who lack comprehensive skills, the question(s) they should ask themselves is/are the following(s): Why is the Ooni cutting out the middle men who could have benefitted from this and other deals? Why is the Ooni (with state money) giving an undue adavantage to a female student over her competitors who have thesame commodities? As for whether an eighty year can be involved with a young female, I will not address that because only a fool will still doubt such relationship in this day and age. It happened back in the day when there were no erectile drugs, let alone now that there countless number of them everywhere. |
I'm laughing at nigerians, who're dismissing this as rumour. Am I suprised? No, because most nigerians will rather play the ostrich and pretend that all is fair and well. Thesame way they waved off the UN findings in terms of the alarming rate of HIV rate in nigeria,,,,some even claimed that it was only in south Africa that the AIDS epidermic was rampant,,,,alas, today nigeria has over 7M HIV patients and still counting. When the issue of gays/lesians was raised, these "ostrichy" nigerians also dismissed it as the work of the white men who hate nigeria and would do anything to tarnish its image. Again, today we have gay/lesbian churches in the nigerian dungeon headed by gay pastors. Even in Abuja, most of the so called legislators and Governors are hypocrites who're involved in battyman/gay behaviors,,,,YET some dumb nigerians continue to bury their heads in sand. This is why I believe the dungeon called nigeria is better disintegrated than standing dilapidated. |
Kobojunkie: Here is a good way to get the Ooni good, you start your own oil trading store in the same Ibadan @Poster. By the way, is it possible to get details on the cost of sending a 40ft container of that sort from LA, I mean from this dude you met in LA as you claim? I'm not into running any business, as my visit to the shipper's office is personal. As for the bolded, I have the guy's number and I will ask him how much it cost. |
@ afam4eva, The Ooni was not elected but SELECTED/ORDAINED, hence: he is still subject to certain ethics and moral standard, one of which is not to corrupt young female students or any female at that. Again, the money he used for this deal or any other deal for that matter does not belong to him as he and other royal fathers are allocated money from the federation a/c via the local govt(s) |
If you see no problem in this by labelling him a businessman, then he should resign as the Ooni and face the trade of cooking oil squarely. |
I know this may sound crazy, but this is real and I intend to shed light on this for all to see. I met a nigerian from Oyo at a shipper's office in LA over the weekend who was loading a 40' container with skids of vegetable oil. At first, I thought he was an exporter, but during the course of our conversation as fellow nigerians, he revealed to me that he was only acting on behalf of the Ooni, who had personally ordered the consignment. He said the Ooni is greedy and hardly share things with others. He even told me that he wasn't making much from the loading and the Ooni already has a clearing agent to clear the vegetable oil for him. This dude even said that if it's possible for the Ooni to turn himself into a clearing agent, he would, so as to avoid paying anybody (agent) anything. I asked him what the Ooni of Ife intend to do with so much cooking oil? He replied by bursting into a kind of laughter that will make you look naive, by saying that the Ooni has a special concubine, a female student of OAU, Ife. This female (according to this dude) has the biggest store in the popular market in Ibadan and she controls the cooking oil market. The question is: wetin concern me? Why don't I mind mind my business and STFU? Abi na bad belle? The answer is simple. As long as the dungeon called nigeria remains one, what a traditional ruler like the Ooni does in public is of concern to me. He is giving an undue advantage to a female who in the real sense could not have been able to compete with others with thesame commodity. Finally, the aspect of this whole saga that struck me most is the greed of this royal father,,,or perhaps the Ooni has no clue what it is to be a royal father? Why is the Ooni cutting out the middle men? Why is he not allowing the "wealth" to go around, for I believe a royal father should atleast ensure that all his subject(s) are somewhat confortable and happy ![]() |
Da infamous:The KEY TERMS are: Criminal manipulation by the north Parasitism by the north Doctored population by the north Unlike Asari, I will only recommend a UN supervised census, without ANY imput from the AU, as the latter lacks principle and may be compromised by the north. Imagine if a Sudanese or a Chadian is to head an AU supervised census in the nigerian dungeon ? |
Hmm! Whoever controls the army (especially at the infantry level), controls the country. The north must be thanking Ahmadu Bello for this forsight . In the words of my beloved leader, I say "good morning" to those who had no clue what they fought against in 1967-1970,,,,this is more like fanning the devil's ar.se in hell . |

Nigerian arrested for carrying $20,000 heroin by Agency Reporter A Nigerian, Afolake Awoyemi, who said she was three months pregnant 'delivered' at Kennedy Airport, a stash of heroin worth $20,000, authorities said. The Daily News on Sunday, said Awoyemi attracted the attention of a US Customs and Border Protection inspector as soon as she waddled off Air France flight No. 6 from Paris last Wednesday. The 42-year-old, who was wearing a “loose-fitting dress” was asked whether she was pregnant, and the woman replied that she was three months along, Homeland Security special agent John Moloney stated in a complaint filed in Brooklyn Federal Court. The customs inspector noted that Awoyemi appeared nervous, so she was selected for a pat-down search. After feeling a “bulge” in Awoyemi's groin area, the situation escalated to a partial strip-search, according to the complaint. When she dropped her drawers, Awoyemi's scheme fell apart. Pellets containing brown powder began dropping from her groin area - and the substance tested positive for heroin. Awoyemi was taken to a medical facility at the airport, where the federal cops administered a pregnancy test that came back negative. An X-ray showed more pellets in her intestinal tract, and by the end of the day she had passed about 25 pellets of heroin in a special commode that Customs officials have dubbed the “Drug Loo.” The high-tech toilet sanitises the incriminating evidence. A Homeland Security spokesman said on Friday that Awoyemi was still hospitalised. She was expected to be brought before a federal magistrate on Monday (today). |
Onlytruth:I could not agree more with the bolded. Even Rawlings acknowledged the spirit of Ikemba while they were landing in the dark at the Enugu airport. We Igbo and easterners have no clue what we've just lost in the man, Ojukwu,,,,if only we have the slightest clue .At a time like this, I wish I can trade places with him . |
These parasitic northerners are bunch of hypocrites and liars Where is the proof of them having 62% of nigeria's population, with no credible census? Concerning Ilorin, our friends of Yoruba extraction should blame Victor Banjo, who disobeyed orders. Had he carried out his task to the LETTER, we will not be having this conversation today, for the hausa/fulanis will have been driven out of kwara and the state restored to its rightful owners (the Yorubas). Well, too bad . |
There will never be a funeral as great as this again in the dungeon called nigeria,,,,NEVER! Not even any of the ex-presidents of nigeria will attract such audience (locally and internationally). I will cease this opportunity to also thank those countries who stood by us during those dark years. They even had their representatives at the funeral of the great one. Special thanks to Haiti (will be paying this country a visit soon in the spring ), Tanzania, Zambia, Ivory coast and Gabon . May they continue to prosper, AMEN! |
