kettykin: I have been thinking of this but who looses last last , the rail project is on its way to becoming the world worst white elephant project , if the rail project had covered the east , some igbos would prever to convey whole families, villages to and from east for Xmas, Easter, weddings ,traditions ceremonies etc . Nigeria lost big time on this, any time they marginalise the east they set Nigeria back by 50 years. they refused to build a steel project in the east and Ajaokuta and other rolling mills never worked, again they built only 1 Airpor in Enugu and the Airports they built all over the country are now being used by rodents and Animals. The starved the east of Sea ports and the ports they funded have turned to dead spots with clogged up roads, These people never learn , they starved eastners during the war and today are IDPs camps in all the Nigeria Geop political zones that comspired against the East with Soviet Union fighting within them selves and Britain in big economic decline
You are spot on my brother. I believe train routes from the north, west to the east and vice versa would have been very profitable. But in their wisdom or rather foolishness, they preferred unviable routes just to spite the easterners. Imagine taking a loan to build rail lines to connect Niger republic while the most viable routes in the country is neglected. Ameachi should be ashamed of himself
How is it that the southeast is not connected by rail? And when the people complain of marginalization, some set of people will shout them down saying they are always playing the victim.
Henix: I wouldn't want to rate his performance for now, since some school of thought said that it's too early to do so. I just hope that we will have our Africa Dubai/Taiwan in Anambra at the end of his administration.
I like your optimism. But for me, judging from what I've seen so far. I've learnt to be cautiously optimistic. I wouldn't want my high hopes to be dashed even though it's looking more likely
ANSMEDIA: Projects are ongoing almost everywhere in Anambra. The good thing about Soludo taking on almost all the projects at once is that it will be overall brand new statewide all at once.
There is nothing exciting about the few projects I've seen so far. I'm not even enthusiastic about seeing any world-class project judging from the little I've seen so far
Soludo was really overrated. Being a prof I thought he would have better taste in the qualities of road he is constructing. All the roads I've seen so far is worth next to nothing. Tiny roads, open gutters, no road markings, dusty roads that you won't even believe they are new roads.
Is this the Dubai, Taiwan and Singapore type of roads he promised us? He should take a cue form kaduna and akwa ibom on how roads are constructed. The roads is an eyesore for Christ sakes.
IyaebeTheGreat: I don’t see him as a good man but an ungrateful fellow who stabbed his benefactor in the back. Find out about his political history with Atiku and you’ll know where I’m coming from. My dad already told me about who the real Obi was and that’s why I never blindly supported him. Congrats omo iyaloja, it’s no sin if a child reaps the fruit of her mother’s labour.
IDENNAA: Atiku is only leading Obi with 800k votes...when Imo , Rivers and Cross River is released we will know how far. If a run off happens Obi might squeeze in.
Is Nnewi not part of Anambra again? Peter Obi abandoned Nnewi, Obiano abandoned Nnewi. Now Soludo is taking the same step. I thought Nnewi is a wry vital part of Anambra. Why has successive governments abandoned Nnewi?
No good road at all in Nnewi. NONE!!!
Zero infrastructure. The only structures in Nnewi are structure built by industrious indigenes.
Nnewi is still a village because of the big neglect from government.
If you people don't want us to be part of Anambra again just tell us.
Which kind thing be this na?
Easy with the Lamentations. He can't do all the roads at the same time.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iw4BNngdjyE[/quote]Good. We have alot of shanties and illegal structures in Anambra. No government serious about urban renewal will succeed without demolitions. I think the government is not even demolishing as much as they should be demolishing.
