When you deal with a broker that offers leverage. It is the same thing too. Until you trade 1:1 leverage. You are not fully in control. Those retail brokers are trying to help themselves and some of us by taking risk. Calculated risk I will call it.

That is the exact meaning of profiling. An honest broker should offer an A-Book model only, and not profile clients.

The biggest challenge most experienced traders have in selecting brokers, is what they know already. Whereas it takes absolutely nothing to find out the truth. But most won't bother because they know everything already.

Furthermore, saying that your broker has the lowest spread and commission, there's a link in the original post for you to be the judge.

The Seven Deadly Broker Questions - How to Tell if Your Broker is B-Booking You

If your broker is honest, they should be able to answer these questions easily.

There is a high probability that your broker will either outrightly refuse to answer these questions or use the "Legal Compliance" excuse as a shield.

In any case, if your broker dodges these questions, then something is definitely being hidden from you.

Two major tips to note when asking these questions:

Tip 1: The questions must be sent to the compliance department of your broker.
Tip 2: You must demand a YES/NO answer for this to be effective.

I recommend mql4 for algorithmic trading because it has the advantage of abundance of library resources over Python, in the sense that code snippets most likely already exist for any problem you may be trying to solve. Python remains very powerful and flexible though, if you are very versatile with it.
