Lagos state government has earned $40 billion plus in revenues between 1999 and now. The money – less salary and running expenses - was partly shared between Alhaji Bola Tinubu, and Alhaji Raji Fashola under corporate guise in the worst scam ever in modern Yoruba history. Last year, Lagos state floated a loan bond of about 80 billion Naira and got public investors to subscribe for repayment with interest but once the bond was fully subscribed, Raji Fashola took 40% of that money - about 35 billion Naira or so - and handed it over in cash to Bola Tinubu, via a bogus corporate front. This patently corrupt deal was ostensibly to buy back Lagos state 'concession rights’ on the Lekki tolled Expressway, according to Raji Fashola. But what the corrupt and clever by half Raji Fashola did not say is that the land at issue belongs to Lagos state and was never sold to Bola Tinubu’s company in the first place. Or did Bola Tinubu’s company invest 35 billion Naira developing the road. In other words, by sheer fraud, Raji Fashola paid Bola Tinubu 25 years profit upfront without any further work. A lien was then imposed on Lagos state allocation of federal revenue for the next three [3] years to pay for this 80 billion Naira debt by all Lagos residents. This transaction must count as the worst fraud ever in Yoruba history since Nigeria became independent on October 1, 1960. In fact, On May 21st, 2014, the Lagos State Commissioner for Finance, Ayodeji Gbeleyi, confirmed that Lagos state debts, as at May 2014, stood at N435 billion - including N275 billion in bonds - equivalent to 2.7 billion United States dollars. Now, discounting monthly interest rates on the commercial portion of this debt, the gross Lagos state government debt is now equal to all of the expected federal revenue allocation to Lagos state in the next three and half years, at $3.7 billion, without equivalent benefits on the ground to show for it - dollar for dollar. We are not deceived by flowers and other aesthetics Fashola claimed he has done. |

Re.tards will always air their silly opinion like pigs. Fashola should send his sick boss to the general and Lagos state hospitals now. If he is world class as APIGCSHITS will make us believe. Why can Fashola visit inner Shomolu or Ketu. He plants flowers here and there, mumus will praise him. We have too many re.tards in Lagos infact some are calling him a role model. Fashola should explain to use the following WHERE IS LAGOS STATE'S 40 BILLION DOLLARS? Lagos state government has earned $40 billion plus in revenues between 1999 and now. LAGOS NOW RATED 3RD WORST CITY IN THE WORLD “The January 2014 global study of cities in the world done by the British Economist Intelligence Unit has ranked Lagos, Nigeria, as the 3rd worst liveable city in the world." "Lagos has degraded further from its awful status in 2012 as the 4th worst city." "On a scale of 100 Lagos now has the third poorest score of 39.0 of all cities in the world. The study titled 'livability' assessed particular characteristics of each city, such as its crime levels, the threat of conflict, the quality of medical care, the levels of censorship, the city temperature, the quality of its schools and its transport links.” |

I am sorry i can't defend a governor who does not account to the people. I can't defend Babatunde Raji Fashola. I can't allow my state to be run like the private property of a few people. This is no longer about political party. This is about responsibility. All Lagosians in all parties must pull together and demand Lagos state accounts from Babatunde Fashola. He is an irresponsible person. We don't want official roguery in Lagos state. We see the signs of official thefts already. We see certain mansions acquired by state officials under Bola Tinubu and Babatunde Fashola. We see hotels said to be owned by Tinubu. We are not fools. We must fight against these ills. We fought against Sani Abacha to have a clean and accountable government. We wanted democracy and a government answerable to us as the people. What we are getting now is far from it. This is not democracy. It is instead the same mentality of personal ownership of government assets by a few Lagos state officials like the military had. - Mr K Adeboye |
aresa:You must be stu.pid for comparing Dubai with Lagos. I can't even argue with you comparing Dubai a city sitting on Gold and Crude oil. Compare Lagos to London |
Ajibel:Is London not more congested than lagos ? Shut up because you have no excuse |
Arreessa and co are dull a.rds. 20 billion a month is the cost of governance . |
aresa:Shut up jare how much is the cost of governance |
Ajibel:What's the cost of governance ? You are Too many re. Tarded |
aresa:You are sooo dull you can even differentiate what the topic is about and what you are discussing. The allocation akwa ibom is due to the fact that it is oil producing and the extra funds are used for community welfare of those oil producing areas. It is called compensation. You are too emotional and full of lies and propaganda . |
Senu should put this on the front page! |
^^^^^ Hin eye don dey open ![]() I am coming back to fully digest this thread. Hope it makes fp |
Johnnyessence:Looool tell your boss it is over. Godfatherism is OVER !!! No more Tinubu |
Its PDP straight. Obanikoro for governor !!!!! |
Fayemi APC! Selling Yorubas since 1999 |
Aderostock:How does that relate to Fashola use of 4.6 trillion naira ? ![]() |
Code213:You must be brainless, how many megawatts has Fashola commissioned ? Spending billions on 5 megawatts is progressive to you. You are dull indeed |
kensto:No things don't work that way. When you talk of private investors, are they working for the government ? If yes then corruption takes over Are they a company for themselves ? If yes then the government will need to subsidies it to make it affordable for the masses. It is a chicken and egg thing, which comes first |
kensto:No my brother, the President is just a man. If you were the president as well you will understand this. It WE the people that need to work with the people/persons in charge to bring about a change. He wanted to build a Nuclear Power Plant, all ethnic groups rejected it to be located in their zones. Ok lets do gas, APC top men and godfathers(OBJ) are sabotaging it Ok lets build dams, Building of Dams are expensive and takes time depending on the size. Also it displaces locals. Knowing Nigeria they will fight against it. These things take time, but there is improvement in the sector. I just pray other Nigerian work hand in hand with the government |
