An Anambra lady identified as Ngozi on Saturday December 14, tied the nuptial knots with her Asian husband, Mr Long Ting.

Anambra-based OAP, Gwen Divy Ifeson disclosed that the wedding was held in Nnewi community of the state. She wrote;

UNESCO enlisted World Heritage site regarded as the abode of the goddess of fertility Osun.

Alh. Lai Mohammed and entourage visits the house where Late Susanne Wenger(Àdùnní Olórìsà) lived in Oshogbo from 1958 until her death in 2008. She was an Austrian-Nigerian artist who promoted Yoruba culture especially the Osun-Oshogbo festival.

"Money issues"

An ND 2 student of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, MAPOLY, Abeokuta, Ogun State, has died after allegedly plunging into a well.

According to his friends, Samson aka Asese Lee woke up around 5a.m on Wednesday in Fagba, Lagos State, and started screaming “my money is inside the well.” .

They added that before they could understand what was happening, he had jumped inside the 180ft well and he died before help could get to him. Samson was laid to rest on Thursday.

President Muhammadu Buhari has dismissed the reports that he is seeking a third term.

Buhari said this on Friday at a meeting of the national executive committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja.

“I’m not going to make the mistake of attempting a third term,” the president said.

“Beside the age, I swore by the holy book that I would go by the constitution and the constitution said two terms. I know that I’m in my last term and I can afford to be reckless because I’m not going to ask for anybody’s vote.”

The Protection from Internet Falsehood and Manipulations Bill also known as the Social Media Bill on Wednesday passed second reading in the Senate.

The Bill is a replication of Singapore’s Protection from Online Falsehoods & Manipulation Act 2019 signed into law in June.

Meanwhile, Singapore is a very bad example to copy from, it ranks 151 out of 180 in @RSF_en

A man said to be in his 70s has reportedly committed suicide by hanging in Okigwe, Imo state on Thursday.

It was gathered that the man had breakfast and waited for his wife to leave for the market before commiting the act in his compound located at Uba street in Okigwe.

A report claimed that the man killed himself because he had been diagnosed with prostrate cancer.

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari, who attended the summit alongside more than 30 African heads of state and governments, met with President Vladimir Putin of Russia on Wednesday, October 23.

US Federal prosecutors have said that an Atlanta Georgia-based Nigerian, Olufolajimi Abegunde has been sentenced to more than six years in prison for his role in an internet fraud scheme that stole an estimated $15m through computer and wire fraud.

After his arrest last year, Abegunde lied to Nigerian officials that his arrest was based on mistaken identity and asked for help to get him out of the FBI jaws. But court documents showed otherwise.

Prosecutors said the Atlanta resident and several other people created fake business emails and profiles on dating websites to trick victims into sending money to bogus bank accounts. Funds were laundered and wired to destinations in Nigeria, Ghana and some other West African countries. The scams caused about $15 million in losses for victims.

Abegunde’s role was that he helped launder money through a compromised business email of a land title company located in Bellingham, Washington, and a real estate company in Memphis, Tennessee.
