What we experience during childhood is a greater design of our future achievements as an adult. That is why it is imperative for parents to take good care of their children development seriously as they grow gradually into adulthood because it determines what they will become or will not become as years fly by through medium of nature and nurture. Psychological research has pointed out several factors from childhood that can predict or influence future success as an adult. Here are some of the recent years of research that prove how your childhood influences your success as an adult: A LESS-STRESSED PARENT HELPS YOU KEEP YOUR CALMNESS According to new research cited by Brigid Schulte at The Washington Post, the number of hours that moms spend with kids between ages 3 and 11 does little to predict the child's behavior, well-being, or achievement. What's more, the "intensive mothering" or "helicopter parenting" approach can backfire. "Mothers' stress, especially when mothers are stressed because of the juggling with work and trying to find time with kids, that may actually be affecting their kids poorly," study coauthor and Bowling Green State University sociologist Kei Nomaguchi told The Post. Emotional contagion — or the psychological phenomenon where people "catch" feelings from one another like they would a cold — helps explain why. The research shows that if your friend is happy, that brightness will infect you; if she's sad, that gloominess will transfer as well. So if a parent is exhausted or frustrated, that emotional state could transfer to the kids. IF YOU ARE CLOSE WITH YOUR FATHER AS A CHILD YOU ARE MORE LIKELY TO DEVELOP BETTER INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS AS YOU ARE GROWING UP According to a study out of the University of Haifa's School of Social Work, having an emotional connection with your father as a child suggests you're more likely to enter a healthy, physically intimate relationship with a partner later in life. "The research found a definitive connection between the quality of the father-child relationship and interpersonal relationships later in life," said lead researcher Dr. Nurit Nahmani. IF YOU EXPERIENCE MALTREATMENT AS A CHILD YOU ARE TWICE AS LIKELY TO BE DEPRESSED NOW A King's College London study of 26,000 people found that if you experienced various forms of maltreatment, you're 2.27 times more likely to have recurrent episodes of depression. The maltreatments, per a Guardian report: • rejecting interaction from a mother • harsh discipline reported by a parent • unstable primary caregiver arrangement throughout childhood • self-reports of harsh physical or sexual maltreatment That must play in a role in the startling facts about depression in the across the world. WATCHING LOTS OF VIOLENT TV, DURING CHILDHOOD YOU ARE MORE LIKELY TO BE AN AGGRESSIVE GROWNUP According to a 15-year study, children model their behaviors after violent scenes where the perpetrators are rewarded for violence. For example, if a child watches a detective who's rewarded for bringing a murderer to justice after a violent clash, it will result in more pushing, grabbing, and shoving from the child — even after he or she has grown up. IF YOU ARE SPANKED AS A CHILD YOU MAY BE A SNEAKY ADULT In the book "Drive," author Daniel Pink explains that trying to influence a child's behavior by offering rewards or punishment does not result in the desired behavior. Instead, children will only work harder to avoid getting caught the next time. The conclusion is, if you were spanked often as a child, you will most likely resort to misbehaving even more, but you will learn how to do it without getting caught. Eventually, you will become a very sneaky adult. IF YOUR PARENTS DON'T LET YOU MAKE DECISIONS YOU MIGHT BE CO-DEPENDENT AS AN ADULT A mental health counsellor Laura JJ Dessauer said: "If you had a helicopter parent who didn't allow you to dress yourself or choose your own playmates and food, you may end up as a co-dependent adult. As you get older, this means that you will seek out relationships in which your partner has all the power and control. IF YOUR PARENTS DIVORCE WHEN YOU ARE VERY YOUNG YOU WILL LIKELY HAVE POORLY RELATIONSHIPS WITH THEM IN ADULTHOOD According to a research carried out in university of Illinois, If your parents split up when you were between 3 and 5, you will probably have an insecure relationship with them when you grow up as an adult, especially in the case of fathers. However, that divorce incidence doesn't predict insecure romantic relationships. ACTING EARLY AS AN ADULT IN HIGH SCHOOL COULD LEAD TO PROBLEMS IN ADULTHOOD According to a study published in the journal of child development, teens who try to act older than their age to gain popularity and engage in "adolescent pseudomature behavior" are more likely to have problems with drugs and alcohol and engage in serious criminal behavior by their early 20s. Adolescent pseudomature behavior describes young teens who want to look and feel mature before they actually are — they haven't reached the emotional and behavioral maturity that comes with adulthood. To look and feel mature, these teens often behave in ways they consider mature, like drinking alcohol, smoking, partying late, and having sex. Joseph P. Allen, lead author and professor of psychology at the University of Virginia, said. "It appears that while so-called cool teens' behavior might have been linked to early popularity, over time, these teens needed more and more extreme behaviors to try to appear cool." IF YOU GROW UP POOR YOUR WORKING MEMORY COULD SUFFER Research by University of Oregano suggests that:People who grow up in lower socioeconomic classes end up with a lower working memory — or ability to hold multiple objects in their minds — in adulthood. IF YOU ARE A GIRL AND YOUR MOTHER WORKS YOU ARE MORE LIKELY TO BECOME THE BOSS AND MAKE MORE MONEY According to research out of Harvard Business School, there are significant benefits for children growing up with mothers who work outside the home. The study found daughters of working mothers went to school longer, were more likely to have a job in a supervisory role, and earned more money — 23% more compared to their peers who were raised by stay-at-home mothers. The sons of working mothers also tended to pitch in more on household chores and childcare, the study found — they spent seven and a half more hours a week on childcare and 25 more minutes on housework. "Role modeling is a way of signaling what's appropriate in terms of how you behave, what you do, the activities you engage in, and what you believe," the study's lead author, Harvard Business School professor Kathleen L. McGinn, told Business Insider. "There are very few things, that we know of, that have such a clear effect on gender inequality as being raised by a working mother," she told Working Knowledge. THE HIGHER YOUR PARENT'S INCOME THE HIGHER YOUR SAT SCORES According to Stanford University researcher Sean Reardon, the achievement gap between high- and low-income families "is roughly 30% to 40% larger among children born in 2001 than among those born 25 years earlier." As "Drive" author Dan Pink has noted, the higher the income for the parents, the higher the SAT scores for the kids. "Absent comprehensive and expensive interventions, socioeconomic status is what drives much of educational attainment and performance," he wrote. YOUR SOCIAL SKILLS AS A KINDERGARTEN CAN DETERMINE IF YOU GO TO COLLEGE OR GET A JOB Researchers from Pennsylvania State University and Duke University tracked more than 700 children from across the US between kindergarten and age 25 and found a significant correlation between their social skills as kindergartners and their success as adults two decades later. The 20-year study showed that socially competent children who could cooperate with their peers without prompting, be helpful to others, understand their feelings, and resolve problems on their own, were far more likely to earn a college degree and have a full-time job by age 25 than those with limited social skills. Those with limited social skills also had a higher chance of getting arrested, binge-drinking, and applying for public housing. "This study shows that helping children develop social and emotional skills is one of the most important things we can do to prepare them for a healthy future," said Kristin Schubert, program director at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, which funded the research, in a release. "From an early age, these skills can determine whether a child goes to college or prison, and whether they end up employed or addicted." LEARNING MATH EARLY ON MAKES YOU BETTER AT MATH AND READING DOWN AS GROW INTO MATURITY A 2007 meta-analysis of 35,000 preschoolers across the US, Canada, and England found that developing math skills early can turn into a huge advantage. "The paramount importance of early math skills — of beginning school with a knowledge of numbers, number order, and other rudimentary math concepts — is one of the puzzles coming out of the study," coauthor and Northwestern University researcher Greg Duncansaid in a press release. "Mastery of early math skills predicts not only future math achievement, it also predicts future reading achievement." If YOU YOU HAVE DRUG OR ALCOHOL DEPENDENT PARENTS YOU WILL LIKELY BE A VERY SERIOUS ADULT If you grew up witnessing your parents abusing drugs or alcohol, you probably ended up being the parent to your parents. Because you skipped childhood altogether, you become super-serious and won't know how to have fun as an adult. You also tend to be overly responsible, says Portland Lifestyle Counseling. WHEN YOUR MOTHER FINISHES COLLEGE YOU ARE MORE LIKELY TO DO THE SAME A 2014 study led by University of Michigan psychologist Sandra Tang found that mothers who finished high school or college were more likely to raise kids that did the same. Pulling from a group of over 14,000 children who entered kindergarten in 1998 to 2007, the study found that children born to teen moms (18 years old or younger) were less likely to finish high school or go to college than their counterparts. Aspiration is at least partially responsible. In a 2009 longitudinal study of 856 people in semirural New York, Bowling Green State University psychologist Eric Dubow found that "parents' educational level when the child was 8 years old significantly predicted educational and occupational success for the child 40 years later." IF YOU WERE BULLIED AS A KID YOU ARE MORE LIKELY TO FACE HARDSHIPS IN ADULTHOOD A study that tracked 7,771 British children from when they were 7 to 50 years old found that people who were bullied as kids had worse relationships, increased depression, higher anxiety, lower educational attainment, and lower earnings. In a study published recently in the JAMA Psychiatry journal, researchers at Duke University found that victims of bullying in childhood were at increased risk of anxiety disorders in adulthood, and those who were both victims and perpetrators were at increased risk of adult depression and panic disorder. Female bullies/victims were at higher risk for developing agoraphobia, while male bullies/victims were at increased risk for suicidality. IF YOU ARE RE ABUSED AS A CHILD YOUR MEMORY AND EMOTIONAL CONTROL COULD SUFFER AS AN ADULT Neuroscientific research shows that people who experienced childhood abuse have worse memories and less control over their emotions. According to a study out of Harvard, published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, being sexually or emotionally abused as a child can stunt the development of three key areas of the hippocampus that control memory and the regulation of emotion. CHILDREN WHO HAVE GOOD SELF-CONTROL EARLY ON ARE MORE LIKELY TO BE WELL FUNCTIONING ADULTS Children who have good self-control early in life are more likely to grow into healthy, financially secure, and trouble-free adults than those with poor self-discipline, according to a 32-year study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. "Parents should forget about their children's self-esteem and concentrate in instilling self-control," self-control expert Roy Baumeister, a professor of psychology at Florida State University in Tallahassee. When your parents pay attention to you, you have healthier relationships and greater academic success in your 30s. A 2014 study of 243 people born into poverty found that children who received "sensitive caregiving" in their first three years not only did better in academic tests in childhood, but had healthier relationships and greater academic attainment in their 30s. As reported on PsyBlog, parents who are sensitive caregivers "respond to their child's signals promptly and appropriately" and "provide a secure base" for children to explore the world. "This suggests that investments in early parent-child relationships may result in long-term returns that accumulate across individuals' lives," coauthor and University of Minnesota psychologist Lee Raby said in an interview. IF YOU ARE ALLOWED TO WATCH TV AS A BABY YOU MAY HAVE SUPPRESSED COMMUNICATION SKILLS After observing mothers and children in a study, researchers found that TV reduces parent-child communication. Even when there was speaking involved, the parents' comments were typically unrelated to what their children said. The result is that it created an "unproductive exchange that could hinder children's opportunity for learning," the authors said. YOUR PARENTS EXPECTATIONS CAN HELP GUIDE YOU TO COLLEGE Using data from a national survey of 6,600 children born in 2001, University of California at Los Angeles professor Neal Halfon and his colleagues discovered that the expectations parents hold for their kids have a huge effect on attainment. "Parents who saw college in their child's future seemed to manage their child toward that goal irrespective of their income and other assets," he said. The finding came out in standardized tests: Of the kids who did poorly, only 57% were expected to attend college by their parents. And of the kids who did well, 97% were expected to go to college. This falls in line with another psych finding: the Pygmalion effect, which states "that what one person expects of another can come to serve as a self-fulfilling prophecy." In the case of kids, they live up to their parents' expectations. In our world today safety of any individual is not certain. The world is advancing from bad to worse. Evil doers are increasing daily making the world unstable to leave especially for innocent children one of the most important qualities you want to instill in your children is a deep sense of security in themselves and the world. Parents should ensure they never neglect security messages to your children to get to nurture their developing sense of security. Here is security information you can pass to your children based on the area or country you leave in to build their sense of security and be safe. 1.Do not open the door to strangers: The same rule applies to strangers at home as it does on the street, “Do not talk to strangers”! Take the time to explain to your children that although home is a safe place, the reason it is safe is because your family takes precautions by not opening doors to strangers. 2. Get to know all your teenager’s friends: There is a certain proverb, that says “what an elder can see sitting down, a child cannot see even standing at the top of a mountain.” The prover the have proved to be correct over the years.Teenagers indeed believe that they know everything, even though life is being viewed through the rosy lens of ‘forever young’. It is your job therefore as a parent to guide them, gently and diplomatically. 3. Explain to your children that there are bad people who pose as tradesmen, delivery people, or even people in distress: It’s alright not to open the door. Explain these people can always get help next door or come back later to do a delivery or service work. 4. Install door viewers at your children’s eye level: Quite often door viewers are installed too high without any thought given to children, rendering them useless. Don’t worry about the look of a door viewer installed at a lower level, replacing the door down the road is a small price to pay for your children’s safety. 5. Make sure your children don’t brag about your families purchases: Whether it is a new television, CD or DVD player a burglar might have overheard the conversation. The last thing your children need is an unexpected visitor at the door. 6.Teach your children how to secure all locks and alarms when they are in the home alone: Have them show you how to arm and disarm the alarm system and secure all door locks and window locks. Making sure they understand the importance of getting into this habit is crucial for their safety. Note: Make sure your alarm has a cellular back-up in the event of a phone line cut. 7.Caution teenagers about ‘blind dates’ or meeting anyone they do not know: Not so long ago there was in the news a story about a girl who was murdered in a hotel, while she went to meet up with a man she met via a popular social network. Teenagers all roll their eyes at this warning but what they do not realise is that this is a very real danger. It is even made worse by the fact that when they embark on this journey they are filled with the sense of adventure and heady with the thrill that they cannot think straight, and they keep the details of their whereabouts secret from their parents/guardians. 8.Teach younger members of your family not to open mails or packages: Sometimes it might not even be a letter bomb. It could just be that the package contains sensitive information that might eventually bring harm to your family if it not handled appropriately. 9.Teach young children how to answer the telephone so that they do not give out personal information: Children have access to phones in the house so that they can be easily reached by you, or can easily reach out to someone when they are in need of help, and this is beneficial. However, it is possible for them to misuse this helpful tool and turn it into a dangerous one, if they are giving out their home addresses and telling strangers about the absence of adults in the house. 10.Create a secure room: Install extra deadbolts and door reinforcing on a room as an escape route in the event of a forced entry. Rehearse with your children how they would find their way to safety once locked inside a secured room. 11. Make sure your children have a cellular phone to use in case of emergency. If your phone lines are cut or tampered with, your children can still call for help. 12.Have a list of family contacts: Your children should have a list of family contacts should they experience a problem they don’t know how to handle, like a malfunctioning lock or alarm system. 13. If they answer the phone to a stranger wanting to know if their parents are home: Have them tell the party that their parents are busy right now and they will have to call back later. Frightening calls should be reported to a family contact immediately. 14.Make sure they are mature enough: It is recommended that you wait until your child is at least 12 years old before they are left at home alone. Some may not even be ready by this age. The more responsible that they are with their schoolwork and chores, the more responsible they are going to be when left at home alone. 15.Check in on them: Call as often as possible while you are away at work. It is important to check in on them as much as possible. Also, set up a time for them to call you so that you can make sure that they are okay. Constant communication is one of the keys to keeping your children safe at all times. 21st century as recorded fast growth in science and technology. Several applications are developed daily all over the world which enhance the quality of our productive life and reduce stress. Since the introduction of smartphone the world was tilted towards into new era of doing things. It changes our perception and lifestyle in another dimension such as the new innovative smartphone application car analyzer. The new smartphone app analyzes a car’s sounds and vibrations, letting you know if your tires need air, spark plugs are bad, or air filter needs replacing. Imagine hopping into a ride-share car, glancing at your smartphone, and telling the driver that the car’s left front tire needs air, its air filter should be replaced next week, and its engine needs two new spark plugs. Within the next year or two, people may be able to get that kind of diagnostic information in just a few minutes, in their own cars or any car they happen to be in. They wouldn’t need to know anything about the car’s history or to connect to it in any way; the information would be derived from analyzing the car’s sounds and vibrations, as measured by the phone’s microphone and accelerometers. The MIT research behind this idea has been reported in a series of papers, most recently in the November issue of the journal Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence. The new paper’s co-authors include research scientist Joshua Siegel PhD ’16; Sanjay Sarma, the Fred Fort Flowers and Daniel Fort Flowers Professor of Mechanical Engineering and vice president of open learning at MIT; and two others. A smartphone app combining the various diagnostic systems the team developed could save the average driver $125 a year and improve their overall gas mileage by a few percentage points, Siegel says. For trucks, the savings could run to $600 a year, not counting the benefits of avoiding breakdowns that could result in lost income. With today’s smartphones, Siegel explains, “the sensitivity is so high, you can do a good job [of detecting the relevant signals] without needing any special connection.” For some diagnostics, though, mounting the phone to a dashboard holder would improve the level of accuracy. Already, the accuracy of the results from the diagnostic systems they have developed, he says, are “all well in excess of 90 percent.” And tests for misfire detection have produced no false positives where a problem was incorrectly identified. The basic idea is to provide diagnostic information that can warn the driver of upcoming issues or needed routine maintenance, before these conditions lead to breakdowns or blowouts. Take the air filter, for example — the topic of the team’s latest findings. An engine’s sounds can reveal telltale signs of how clogged the air filter is and when to change it. And unlike many routine maintenance tasks, it’s just as bad to change air filters too soon as to wait too long, Siegel says. That’s because brand-new air filters let more particles pass through, until they eventually build up enough of a coating of particles that the pore sizes get smaller and reach an optimal level of filtration. “As they age, they filter better,” he says. Then, as the buildup continues, eventually the pores get so small that they restrict the airflow to the engine, reducing its performance. Knowing just the right time to replace the filter can make a measurable difference in an engine’s performance and operating costs. How can the phone tell the filter is getting clogged? “We’re listening to the car’s breathing, and listening for when it starts to snore,” Siegel says. “As it starts to get clogged, it makes a whistling noise as air is drawn in. Listening to it, you can’t differentiate it from the other engine noise, but your phone can.” To develop and test the various diagnostic systems, which also include detecting engine misfires that signal a bad spark plug or the need for a tune up, Siegel and his colleagues tested data from a variety of cars, including some that ran perfectly and others in which one of these issues, from a clogged filter to a misfire, was deliberately induced. Often, in order to test different models, the researchers rented cars, created a condition they wanted to be able to diagnose, and then restored the car to normal. “For our data, we’ve induced failures [after renting] a perfectly good vehicle” and then fixed it and “returned the car better than when we took it out. I’ve rented cars and given them new air filters, balanced their tires, and done an oil change” before taking them back, he recalls. Some of the diagnostics require a complicated multistep process. For example, to tell if a car’s tires are getting bald and will need to be replaced soon, or that they are overinflated and might risk a blowout, the researchers use a combination of data collection and analysis. First, the system uses the phone’s built-in GPS system to monitor the car’s actual speed. Then, vibration data can be used to determine how fast the wheels are turning. That in turn can used to derive the wheel’s diameter, which can be compared with the diameter that would be expected if the tire were new and properly inflated. Many of the diagnostics are derived by using machine-learning processes to compare many recordings of sound and vibration from well-tuned cars with similar ones that have a specific problem. The machine learning systems can then extract even very subtle differences. For example, algorithms designed to detect wheel balance problems did a better job at detecting imbalances than expert drivers from a major car company, Siegel says. A prototype smartphone app that incorporates all these diagnostic tools is being developed and should be ready for field testing in about six months, Siegel says, and a commercial version should be available within about a year after that. The system will be commercialized by a startup company Siegel founded called Data Driven. What we eat doesn't necessarily caused anxiety. But that doesn't mean that millions of people aren't contributing to their anxiety every day by eating foods that create anxiety symptoms while avoiding foods that may fight anxiety. The truth is that your diet does matter. What you eat affects how you feel, and how you feel is anxious. It stands to reason that changing your diet to one that is made for those living with anxiety can be a valuable part of treating your anxiety symptoms. Human body is constantly repairing itself using nutrients, minerals and vitamins from food we ingest to replenish the chemical building blocks that are necessary for day-to-day functioning. Naturally within moments, after you eat or drink something, your internal chemistry changes. Not surprisingly, what you eat affects how you feel both in the short and in the long run. If you suffer from depression or panic, there are certain foods you should avoid. These foods can adversely affect how you feel by influencing metabolic processes, over exciting the nervous system or by triggering immune system reactions. FOOD THAT CAUSE ANXIETY/DEPRESSION 1. Caffeine A known stimulant and psychoactive drug, caffeine has long had a reputation for triggering the body's fight-or-flight response. Very similar to the symptoms associated with anxiety, caffeine can also make its users feel nervous, nauseous, light headed, jittery and yes, even anxious. If you're suffering through anxiety, I recommend reconsidering that morning cup of coffee and instead opt for an herbal tea or a green juice. 2. Artificial and refined sugars This is one that seems hard to ignore simply due to the fact that sugar hides in everything ! Studies have shown that although sugar does not cause anxiety, it does create changes in your body that can exacerbate anxiety symptoms and impairs the body's ability to effectively cope with stress. A sugar crash is similar to a caffeine crash, and can also cause mood changes, heart palpitations, difficulty concentrating and fatigue— all of which can be interpreted as the beginning stages of an anxiety or panic attack. 3. Foods high in sodium(Salt) By now, we should all be aware of the fat-free craze of the past few decades. The sad reality of this fad is that most foods that are fat free are actually high in sugar and/or sodium. Researchers have concluded that too much sodium in our diets can have a negative effect on the body's neurological system, causing fatigue and damaging the immune system. A restful sleep is a major key to a healthy mind, mood and body. Not to mention, the overconsumption of sodium leads to weight gain, high blood pressure and water retention. Salt is essential in maintaining good health and a balanced diet, but too much can trigger panic episodes and send you down a slippery slope of anxiety, panic and depression. 4. Fried foods Not only are fried foods difficult to digest, but they also have very little nutrition. Combining poor food choices with unhealthy cooking processes is a sure-fire way to exacerbate your anxiety symptoms. Most fried foods like French fries, chicken and onion rings are cooked in hydrogenated oil. It not only does a number on your waistline, but it's also terrible for your heart. Fried foods also may increase your risk of high blood pressure and heart disease. Moderation is key. The next time you find yourself at Five Guys, try the kiddie size fry instead of the large. 5. Fruit juice Fruit juice, just like soda and other store-bought beverages is packed with sugar. There are three different types of sugar : sucrose, glucose and fructose. Fructose is the sugar naturally found in fruits and vegetables, and is usually added to fruit juice and fruit flavored drinks. The problem is the body only processed fructose in the liver and is not the body's preferred energy source. What protects us from absorbing too much fructose when we eat fruits and vegetables is the fiber. When we get rid of the fiber, we put our bodies atv risk of overconsumption. So if you want fruit juice, make it at home, and if you're an avid juicer (like me), I recommend limiting the amount of fruit you put into your green juices. Stick to the 80/20 rule and you'll be good to go. 6. Dairy I'm sure we all remember those Got Milk ads that popped up during the commercial break of our favorite TV shows. Well research shows that people who have anxiety say they've noticed an increase in anxiety symptoms within minutes of consuming dairy products. About 10 percent of adults are lactose intolerant, and even more are thought to have difficulty digesting the casein found in cow's milk. Have I mentioned its impact on children? The truth is, dairy is inflammatory . It wreaks havoc on the digestive system, causing, bloating, diarrhea and constipation, among other things. So if you're looking for ways to manage your anxiety, I guess the answer to the question Got Milk? , should be a big, fat, NO! 7. Acid Forming Foods Foods like yogurt, pickles, eggs, sour cream, wine, and liver are all acid creating foods, and there are reasons to believe that these foods drop magnesium levels. Magnesium is a cause or contributor of anxiety in many of those suffering from anxiety symptoms, so cutting back on acid forming foods is important. Also soda do trigger anxiety, the extent is depends on individual body chemistry. 8. Alcohol We all enjoy an occasional drink, right? But what happens when that one glass of wine at dinner turns into three glasses of wine and dessert? Alcohol in excess or at all (for some), is said to induce the symptoms of anxiety. Alcohol is a toxin that leads to improper mental and physical functioning, by negatively impacting the levels of serotonin (the feel good chemical) in the brain. Alcohol also affects the body and nervous system and can cause hypersensitivity, increased heart rate, lowered blood sugar levels and acute dehydration. If you're going out to dinner with a few colleagues, you may want to skip the drink menu this time around. 9. Junk/Fast Food Sometimes when we are feeling stressed or overwhelmed, the best thing we can think of doing is driving to the nearest take away joint and indulging in that big, juicy burger. While that may satisfy you for a few minutes, the effects it has on your body will continue many hours later. No, you don’t have to reach for a salad every time but instead opt for some lean protein, which will not only have a positive effect on you and will also keep you feeling fuller for longer. 10. Food Additives Man-made food additives have been used for so many years to enhance the appearance and flavour of our food, but not many people realise just how bad they are for you. The ones that could trigger anxiety the most are: Aspartame - Also known as Sweetener (951), aspartame is used to replace sugar in a number of products, from “sugar free” soft drinks to gums and other tabletop sweeteners. Researchers have found link regular consumption of aspartame with a number of health conditions, including anxiety. High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) - HFCS is a highly refined sweetener that can be found in most processed foods, particularly in the US. HFCS is very high in calories and, like aspartame, is considered a contributing factor to a number of illnesses. MSG - This is an amino acid that is used as a flavour enhancer in soups, dressings, snacks foods and frozen foods. MSG is an excitotoxin which over excites cells to the point of damage. Regular consumption is known to trigger depression, headaches and fatigue. Food Dyes - Food dyes are sometimes added to soft drinks, salad dressings, fruit juices and cheese. Some food dyes, particularly Red #40 & Yellow #5, can disrupt normal nervous system function, which may increase symptoms of anxiety. FOOD THAT REDUCE DEPRESSION/ ANXIETY. Most people know there are foods to avoid, but what about foods to eat? There are several foods that may reduce your anxiety symptoms. Remember, healthy eating leads to healthy hormonal functioning, which leads to an improved sense of well-being. So the better you eat, the better your anxiety will be. Good foods include: Eating these foods aren't going to cure your anxiety, but they should reduce your anxiety symptoms and make it easier for an effective anxiety treatment to work. Eating healthy does have an effect on your ability to handle anxiety, so altering your diet to include better foods for anxiety is important. Fresh Fruit Your body does need carbs and sugar, it just doesn't need refined sugars. Fresh fruit has sugar that can be converted to energy, and provides necessary nutrients as well. Blueberries and peaches may be especially advantageous. Vegetables Of course, vegetables are arguably even more important, especially for those with anxiety. Vegetables are rich in fiber, and many of the vitamins that those with anxiety deplete regularly. Water A tremendous percentage of the population is regularly dehydrated because they do not drink nearly enough water. Dehydration nearly always leads to anxiety, which is why it's crucial that you consume enough water regularly. Tryptophan Rich Foods Foods rich in tryptophan are very effective at reducing anxiety. They have a natural relaxation component, and may increase your metabolism as an added bonus. Oats, soy, poultry, and sesame seeds all have a fair amount of tryptophan. Magnesium Rich Foods As much as 25% of the country or more is magnesium deficient, and magnesium plays a role in over 300 different processes within the body. It's a crucial vitamin that few people get, so magnesium rich foods like black beans and tofu are very important. Omega-3 Fatty Acids Research into Omega 3's is still being conducted, but there is some evidence that Omega-3 is important for depression and anxiety. Omega-3's can be found in fish, flax seed, and winter squash. NB: The above food to take or avoid can help people who are suffering from bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder and any other related anxiety or depressive symptoms. However, individual body chemistry signature also play a vital role in the process of reducing the disorder as fast as possible. Second born children are more likely to involve in criminal act, commit more crime and go against school rules and regulations according to scientific research. Scientists have found firstborn children are likely to conform while younger siblings are prone to more independent personalities, confirming what generations of parents have long suspected. Their study, published in the journal Child Development, adds to growing evidence that birth order plays a crucial role in developing a child's personality. Based on personality profiles of more than 360 children, it also highlights how boys start off with similar profiles to girls but become less warm and sensitive in their early teens. Researchers, at the Pennsylvania State University, the University of Hawaii at Manoa and Purdue University, interviewed 364 children in the United States between the ages of seven and 19 and their parents. They also took saliva samples to measure testosterone levels and asked the children to keep a diary of their activities outside school. A spokesman for the researchers told the Daily Mail: "Second-born children showed increases in traits like adventurousness and independence across adolescence, whereas in firstborns, these traits did not change much over time. "These findings are consistent with the idea that firstborns conform more, while second-borns are more likely to rebel." Girls who spent time with other girls developed more feminine characteristics while boys became more masculine if they played with other boys, the study found. However, both boys and girls appeared to benefit from having female friends, becoming more adventurous and independent if they played with girls. It also found children who showed faster rates of increase in the hormone testosterone in early adolescence were not as affected by social influences on their personality development. SECOND-BORN LIKELY TO BE CRIMINAL OR COMMIT MORE CRIME Second born children are more likely to get in trouble at school and have run-ins with the law later in life as opposed to their older siblings. That’s according to the findings of a recent study conducted by researchers from MIT, Northwestern, the University of Florida, and others which followed thousands of sets of brothers in Denmark and the state of Florida. Second-born boys in both locations are more apt to run afoul of authority figures than their older peers, it was found. In families with two or more children, second-born boys are on the order of 20 to 40 percent more likely to be disciplined in school and enter the criminal justice system compared to first-born boys, despite the differences in environments across the two areas, researchers found. The authors theorise that the higher risk of delinquency could be due to the fact that second-born children do not receive the one-on-one focus and doting that their older siblings did, causing them to act out as a way to get their parents to focus on them. It was also noted that parents take more time off work when they have their first child compared to when they have their second child. Furthermore, second-borns are not only competing with their older sibling for attention, but also competing with careers and other responsibilities. The study authors also say that second-borns might act out more because they look up to their older sibling. Whereas first-borns look to adults as their first role models. In other words, the oldest child spends more developmental time around adults, which, in turn, influences them to behave more maturely. A second-born, on the other hand, will be looking to a toddler or a school-age child as a role model. Or one who will naturally be more impulsive and egotistical. It comes as no surprise that previous research has found that oldest siblings tend to be smarter than their younger sisters and brothers. The reason? Parents, naturally, spend more time alone with their first children—giving them their undivided attention. MOST SECOND-BORN CHILDREN ARE LESS LIKELY TO COMMIT SERIOUS CRIME. BUT FEW ARE PRONE TO COMMIT SERIOUS CRIME. But, before parents start to panic, here’s some good news. National Public Radio’s Social Science Correspondent Shankar Vedantam assured listeners that second child crime sprees are not a significant concern. Even though studies can show a 25 to 40 percent increase in the possibility of poor behaviour choices and consequences, the overall numbers remains in small. Only a minority of children – about 1 in 10, 1 in 20, are getting in serious trouble. However, the study is saying that among this minority of children, there appear to be sizable differences between first- and second-born brothers. BIRTH ORDER AND PERSONALITY TRAITS Oldest sisters or baby brothers are more than simple labels on the family tree. Psychologists say that birth order affects all aspects of a child's personality. The Early Show receives some advice from psychologist Kevin Leman for parents on what to expect from their oldest, middle and youngest children and how birth order should affect parenting style. Here are Leman's definitions of what is to be the oldest, middle or youngest child. FIRST BORN Newscasters and TV talk show hosts tend to be first born or only children. Prominent examples include: Walter Cronkite, Peter Jennings, Dan Rather, Ted Koppel, Oprah, Donahue, Geraldo, Arsenio Hall and Rush Limbaugh. Over half of U.S presidents were firstborns. Clearly, firstborns are natural leaders. They also tend to be reliable, conscientious and perfectionists who don't like surprises. Although, firstborns are typically aggressive, many are also compliant people pleasers. They are model children who have a strong need for approval from anyone in charge. ONLY CHILDREN Only children are firstborns in triplicate. They are even more responsible and even bigger perfectionists. They usually get along better with people older than themselves. MIDDLE CHILD These kids are the most difficult to pin down. They are guaranteed to be opposite of their older sibling, but that difference can manifest in a variety of ways. Middle children often feel like their older brother gets all the glory while their younger sister escapes all discipline. Because the middle child feels that the world pays him less attention, he tends to be secretive; he does not openly share his thoughts or feelings. Middle children may not feel they have a special place in the family so friends and peer groups become much more important. They can usually read people well, they are peacemakers who see all sides of a situation, they are independent and inventive. If a firstborn is a company's CEO, the middle child is the entrepreneur. LAST BORN Babies of the family are social and outgoing, they are the most financially irresponsible of all birth orders. They just want to have a good time. Knowing that these kids love the limelight, it's no surprise to discover that Billy Crystal, Goldie Hawn, Drew Carey, Jim Carey and Steve Martin are all lastborns. While lastborns may be charming, they also have the potential to be manipulative, spoiled or babied to the point of helplessness. "The last born is the one who will probably still have a pet name although he's 29 and has a masters degree," Leman says. EXCEPTIONS? Some variables can affect the above descriptions. For instance, if there are several years between the first and second child, the second child will have some characteristics of a firstborn. Or, if the firstborn is a girl and the second a boy, the son will have some first-born characteristics because he is the family's first male offspring. Sibling deaths, adoptions and blended families can also upset the traditional birth order. Children are all different and have to be parented in different ways. Dr. Leman recommends the following as a guide to parent kids by their birth order. PARENTING THE FIRST BORN Don't Be an Improver: Your child already feels the need to be perfect in every way. "Improving" tasks your firstborn attempts on her own will only increase the pressure she places on herself. For instance, let's say you ask your oldest son to make his bed. Being a firstborn he will, of course, seek your approval and want you to see the finished task. If you tell him it looks good but then proceed to fluff the pillow and straighten out wrinkles in the bedspread, you send the message that he could have done better. Take Two-On--One Time: "Firstborns respond better to adult company than children of any other birth order. Firstborns often feel that parents don't pay much attention to them because they're always concentrating on the younger ones in the family. Make a special effort to have the first born join you and your spouse in going out alone for a treat, or to run some kind of special errand." (from Leman's book "The New Birth Order Book." ![]() Don't Pile On Responsibilities: Older children often feel as though they do much more work around the house than their younger siblings. Share the duties and errands as soon as young children are capable. And, stay away from making your first born the family's instant baby sitter. Check with his schedule, just as you would an outside babysitter. PARENTING THE MIDDLE CHILD Make Time To Listen: Remember that middle children tend to avoid sharing how they really feel. Although it's important to set aside time to talk to all of your children, it's particularly important to make this happen with the middle child because he is least likely to insist on his fair share of time. Allow Child to Make Decisions: Empower your middle child and make him feel special by allowing him to make choices such as who gets to bowl first or what the family will eat for dessert. This will help alleviate feelings of always being overshadowed by older and younger siblings. Update the Family Album: This may sound silly but it truly is important. There tend to be a billion photos of the firstborn and about six of the next child. To a child flipping through the family album, this is a sure sign that he's not loved as much. Be sure to have photos of the middle child alone, not always paired with the older sibling. PARENTING THE LAST BORN Stick to the Rules: The saying "he gets away with murder" is based in reality. Statistics show the lastborn is least likely to be disciplined and the least likely to have to toe the mark the way the older children did. You can be sure your older children are watching you closely! Hand Out Responsibility: Lastborns often wind up with less to do around the house for two reasons. One, they are pros at ducking out of work. And two, they are so little and "helpless" that the rest of the family decides it's easier to do the work themselves. You want to raise a confident, self-reliant child so don't promote this helpless image. Applaud Accomplishments: Leman says that lastborns are well known for feeling that nothing they do is important. Make a big deal out of accomplishments (you may have seen two other kids learn to ride a bike but it's the first time for your baby) and be sure he gets his fair share of "marquee time" on the refrigerator. PARENT'S BIRTH ORDER We've been discussing children's birth orders, but it's important to realize that parenting style is also influenced by the parent's own birth order. Parents subconsciously identify with the child who holds the spot in the family they occupied themselves. A lastborn dad might think his youngest antics are cute while mom sees them as irresponsible. Also, firstborns are perfectionists their whole lives. As parents, they may set standards that are difficult for a child to reach. This makes them frustrated and their children unhappy. Professor Sergio canavero lead team have successfully transplant human head. A great medical breakthrough to achieve immortality is knocking at the door. The world’s first human head transplant has been carried out on a corpse in China, according to a controversial Italian doctor who said Friday that scientists are now ready to perform the surgery on a living person. Professor Sergio Canavero, chief of the Turin Advanced Neuromodulation Group, said the operation was carried out by a team led by Dr. Xiaoping Ren, who last year successfully grafted a head onto a monkey’s body. “The first human transplant on human cadavers has been done. A full head swap between brain-dead organ donors is the next stage,” Canavero said at a press conference in Vienna, the Telegraph reported. “And that is the final step for the formal head transplant for a medical condition which is imminent,” said Canavero, who has gained a mix of fame and notoriety for his Frankenstein-like pursuits. Canavero said the successful transplant by the team at Harbin Medical University shows that his techniques for reconnecting the spine, nerves and blood vessels to allow two bodies to live together will work. He didn’t appear to provide any concrete proof for his claim about the operation in China, but said it would be made available in the coming days. Despite his claims of having successfully carried out the surgery on both rats and monkeys ahead of a human transplant, medical experts have warned that the first patient would experience terrible suffering while adjusting to his or her new body. Canavero said a live operation would take place in China because his efforts to get backing for the project were dismissed by the medical communities in the US and Europe, according to USA Today. “The Americans did not understand,” Canavero said Friday as he discussed the surgery, which also raises profound biomedical ethical questions. “Chinese President Xi Jinping wants to restore China back to greatness and he wants to make it the sole superpower in the world and I believe he is doing it,” he said. Canavero did not provide the identity of the recipient (head) or the donor (body) — who will be a brain-dead patient who is otherwise healthy — for a live operation. In April 2105, a Russian man suffering from a fatal muscle-wasting disease volunteered for the procedure. Valery Spiridinov, 33, admitted being scared to have his head frozen and then grafted onto a new donor body, but said he was prepared to sacrifice his life for science. The modern world has made sex to be cheap beyond normal. Casual sex is made popular and common within the society through the entertainment industry and commercial industry in reference to moral decay in human kind. Moreso, casual sex can impact your physical and emotional health in ways that you may not suspect. Here is the reason why? PROMISCUITY CAN CAUSE EARLY DEATH Can promiscuity threaten your longevity ? The short answer is yes. Having a large number of sexual partners has been linked to poor sexual health and decreased longevity. Why? The more sexual partners you have, the greater your risk for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) like HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening conditions like prostate cancer , cervical cancer, and oral cancer. "Promiscuity is one example of a class of high-risk behaviors,” says Deirdre Lee Fitzgerald, PhD, assistant professor of psychology at Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic. “It is comparable to, and may coincide with, behaviors such as heavy drinking, gambling, and other thrill-seeking behaviors like driving too fast." Why do people have many sexual partners? It's exciting, Fitzgerald says, or, among their peers, it’s a kind of activity that brings them status. Another reason: It helps “them avoid dealing with other challenging emotional issues.” PROMISCUITY IMPACT ON YOUR PHYSICAL HEALTH Don’t believe the myths that you can't get STDs unless you have sexual intercourse or that you can't get them from oral or anal sex. Many viruses and bacteria that cause STDs can enter your bloodstream through tiny cuts in your mouth, anus, or the outer parts of your genitals. HIV and AIDS Being promiscuous and having STDs both increase your susceptibility to the AIDS virus. Despite better education and treatment, AIDS still killed more millions of people around the world. Other health conditions. If promiscuity is combined with other risky behaviors like smoking, heavy drinking, substance abuse, not getting enough sleep, and poor diet, it can contribute to several chronic diseases including heart disease. Physical abuse. Research shows the couples who are in long-term relationships are much less likely to suffer from domestic violence. HOW PROMISCUITY AFFECTS EMOTIONAL HEALTH One myth about promiscuity is that most men have many more sexual partners than women. The truth, studies show, is that by age 44, the average man has had about seven sexual partners and the average woman has had four. About 33 percent of men and 9 percent of women report having more than 10 sexual partners in their lifetime. Having many more partners than average is considered a sexual health risk. And that risk extends to your emotional health as well. "The impact of these high risk behaviors on one’s emotional health includes making dangerous choices that lead to more and more risk. This cycle can lead to problems with self-concept, ineffective relationships, and even depression," notes Fitzgerald. With depression, the door swings both ways: Promiscuity may actually be a symptom of depression. And obviously, having multiple sexual partners makes it difficult to sustain a healthy relationship. Studies show that people in long-term, healthy relationships enjoy better health and greater longevity. Despite the emphasis that society puts on sexuality, the best emotional, physical, and sexual health can be found in long-term relationships. If you find yourself jumping from relationship to relationship, you should consider the price you could be paying in both sexual health and longevity. A predictable prophetic warning have been issued by 15,000 scientists across the globe alerting humanity on impending danger of the earth destruction by human gross activities. (o)The letter, originally written in 1992, warned of man's impact on the world. (o)After 25 years, the global scientific community's view is even more bleak Second warning letter to the globe was signed by more than 15,000 scientists. (o)Apart from the hole in the ozone layer, which has now been stabilised, every one of the major threats identified in 1992 has worsened. Climate change, deforestation, loss of access to fresh water, species extinctions and uncontrolled human population growth are all threatening mankind's and the Earth's future. The letter, originally written in 1992 and signed by 1,500 scientists, argued human impacts on the natural world were likely to lead to 'vast human misery' and a planet that was 'irretrievably mutilated'. But a quarter of a century since a majority of the world's living Nobel Laureates united to sign a warning letter about the Earth, the global scientific community's view of the future is even more bleak. WARNING LETTER The letter, originally written in 1992 argued human impacts on the natural world were likely to lead to 'vast human misery' and a planet that was 'irretrievably mutilated'. But a quarter of a century since a majority of the world's living Nobel Laureates united to sign a warning letter about the Earth, scientists argued too little was being done. They pointed out that in the past 25 years: - The amount of fresh water available per head of population worldwide has reduced by 26 per cent. - The number of ocean 'dead zones' - places where little can live because of pollution and oxygen starvation - has increased by 75 per cent. - Nearly 300 million acres of forest have been lost, mostly to make way for agricultural land. - Global carbon emissions and average temperatures have shown continued significant increases. - Human population has risen by 35 per cent. - Collectively the number of mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds and fish in the world has fallen by 29 per cent. The message, posted online, updates an original Warning from the Union of Concerned Scientists and around 1,700 signatories delivered in 1992. Apart from the hole in the ozone layer, which has now been stabilised, every one of the major threats identified in 1992 has worsened. THE EXTINCTION OF HUMAN ON EARTH Runaway consumption of precious resources by an exploding population remains the biggest danger facing humankind, say the scientists. In the second warning letter to the globe, more than 15,000 scientists from 184 countries said humans had 'unleashed a mass extinction event, the sixth in roughly 540 million years, wherein many current life forms could be annihilated or at least committed to extinction by the end of this century'. People should eat less meat, have fewer kids, consume less and use green energy to save the planet, the world's leading scientists urged. 'We are jeopardising our future by not reining in our intense but geographically and demographically uneven material consumption and by not perceiving continued rapid population growth as a primary driver behind many ecological and even societal threats', it said. 'By failing to adequately limit population growth, reassess the role of an economy rooted in growth, reduce greenhouse gases, incentivise renewable energy, protect habitat, restore ecosystems, curb pollution, halt defaunation, and constrain invasive alien species, humanity is not taking the urgent steps needed to safeguard our imperilled biosphere.' The invention of front camera open the flood of photos littered on social media and galleries of smart phones through the medium of selfies. Self-snapping is not bad in itself, some people have taking selfie to extreme a form of obsession. Selfie is most common among females, males too are not exempted. Current research have associated selfie to mental disorder, loneliness, relationship issues etc. Certain hidden behaviour is linked to self-snappers or selfie takers as listed below: SHARING LOTS OF SELFIES Researchers from Ohio State University (OSU) found that individuals who share lots of selfies online actually display clinical psychopathic traits, including Shallow emotions (emotions may be felt but in shallow and fleeting ways), Callousness and lack of empathy, Failure to accept responsibility for own acts, Promiscuous sexual behavior Many marital relationships, A lack of realistic, long-term goals, Impulsivity, Irresponsibility, Poor behavior controls. The higher the traits the more one is likely to be psychopathic. MEN WHO ALTER THEIR PHOTOS Men who digitally alter their selfie photos before sharing them, say experts, may be exhibiting narcissistic tendencies and unhealthy patterns of self-objectification. They doctor their photos to make themselves look especially attractive; including the perception that they can only relate to others by feeling more intelligent and attractive than them. Moreso, social and personal relationship with this individual men can be frustrating and demanding. They care less of you tends to be in control in most cases in fact you are their puppet. They are not flexible by nature often like to put their desires above others even if it is detrimental to themselves or others. They are so ingrain in to their core self, manipulative, judging, dominating, authoritarian by nature with hidden jealousy. Go extra mile to look good, attractive and catchy even if it is financially straining and draining. SELFIE IS LINKED TO BODY IMAGE DISORDER Some people have doubts about their own looks. They might think that they are ugly or not good looking enough even though they are good looking. Recent studies have linked excessive selfie taking with body image disorders. People who have low self-esteem or inferiority complex are likely to doubtful their own looks or attractiveness they might start taking many selfies in order to find the perfect shot that makes them look better. HEAVY SELFIE USERS ARE ATTENTION SEEKERS Scientific research also, linked excessive taking of selfies with attention and approval seeking. The person who takes many selfies might be insecure about their state of being liked by people as such, they might consider self-snaping as a yardstick to get approval from others. RAMPANT SELFIE TAKERS ARE VIEWED AS LESS ATTRACTIVE AND LESS LIKEABLE. According to a new study by researchers, you’re not as beautiful as your narcissistic self might lead you to believe. Adding to that the researchers also claimed in their study that people who are very self-absorbed and take too many selfies are more narcissistic, less attractive and less likeable to other people. The other people here are all people who aren’t crazy about selfies and that means the majority doesn’t like you, so stop being so self-obsessed. According to the research selfie pros and the selfie noobs often rate themselves way more attractive that they actually were when they were told to rate themselves. However, when others rated their selfie's they rate noobs selfie lower and pros lowest. In general people tends to rate normal photograph more than selfie. So people liking your selfie on social media doesn't mean you are attractive or likeable it is most likely for just mere like. YOU ARE A LONER OR LONELY Scientists have warned those who constantly take pictures of themselves are more likely to be lonely. Experts believe both men and women who have lonely personalities tend to take more selfies for approval from other people. A loner tends to like selfie of others on the social media more than those who are not heavy self-snappers, due to their social loneliness. Findings shows that lonely people take several selfie photos than average individuals who engage in different activities. It is natural for a person to display anger. Anger is a healthy emotion, however if you find yourself more angry than necessary, it could be due to certain conditions or medicines. Medical findings have proved that, there are a number of medical conditions and medicines that has been reported which increase anger among individuals. Medical Reasons 1. Overactive thyroid. Overactive thyroid(hyperthyroidism) it is a condition that is most common among women. Hyperthyroidism is when the thyroid gland makes too much thyroid hormone. It is linked to why some parents often shout or yell at their children and si others too. Thyroid hormone affects everything that has to do with your metabolism. It also can increase your restlessness, nervousness and can cause difficulty concentrating. It is another big reason why you are constantly angry. 2. Severe Depression. When you are in a state of depression it often leads to unstable emotional state like feelings of worthlessness, shame or guilt. Despair and irritability go hand in hand with people who have severe depression. Moreover, men are more likely than women to have more violent outbursts as a result, and when this anger is turned inward, it often leads to other unhealthy conditions. Also, this mood disorder can be controlled or treated with medication and therapy. So, severe depression and its related moods can lead to anger and agitation when you least expect it without a clue why you are unnecessary angry. 3. Diabetes Those who are suffering from diabetes, are highly susceptible to anger. Because low blood sugar is a contributing factor to anger issues. Diabetes in a way tends to lower the serotonin level in the body that helps maintain a chemical balance in the brain. If a diabetic person can maintain their glucose level it will help avoid occasional out bursts of anger. So, an imbalance in sugar levels can leads to an imbalance of chemicals in the brain such as serotonin. This can lead to aggression, anger, confusion and even panic attack. 4. Sleeping Pills Due to life uncertainty most people suffer from insomnia and doctors or physicians often prescribe benzodiazepines to treat it. However, for those who are already predisposed to fits of anger, these drugs can have harmful side effects such as violent outbursts of anger. People who have an aggressive personality may want to avoid these drugs if anger management becomes problematic. In nutshell, benzodiazepine, function by slowing down a variety for brain functions. With the reduction of some brain functions, sleeping tablets can make an already irritable person even more irritable. 5. PMS, PMDD, and Menopause Medical research has proved that PMS, PMDD and MENOPAUSE in female can affect the hormonal structure of female depending on their body chemistry. For women to experience agitation and irritability during premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and menopause is not a strange occurrence. There is a drop in hormones, specifically serotonin during this period of hormonal change. Hence, for women with premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), although a less frequent form of PMS, levels of anger can become extreme. Life Situation and Emotional Distress 1. Fear People who go through a traumatic event sometimes develop post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and people who have PTSD disorder are in a constant state of fear. They tend to go into a survival mode causing them to lose their tempers, and if their anger gets out of control it turns to rage. These people sometimes feel like harming themselves or others. 2. Powerlessness All of us experience a feeling of powerlessness at some point in our lives. Whether it’s a national tragedy, or a personal loss, the guilt associated with powerlessness can trigger episodes of anger. When anger due to powerlessness strikes, activities such as joining a volunteer group may help with releasing those angry feelings. 3. Frustration Frustration, as it relates to anger, is sometimes caused by trauma or loss. People may find themselves lashing out and blaming others even though they may not have had anything to do with it. This is called displaced anger and it can affect others both emotionally and physically. If uncontrolled could lead violent anger and even depression. 4. Pain from the Past Abuse and trauma are the hallmarks of pain and anger associated the past. What causes this is a life event from long ago and can crop up under seemingly normal circumstances. This happens because certain events are so traumatic the only defence for the brain is to block the memory out. However, the memory never completely goes away. 5. Bad Habits Everyone has experienced anger and irritability for no real reason from time to time.We usually get over it in a short period of time. However, adolescents and teens, with their hormones running rampant, can sometimes get into a habit of being angry all the time. This is not healthy even for them, never mind those that are around them. 6. Feeling Overwhelmed or Exhausted We all know what it’s like to feel physically exhausted from time to time, and normally a good night’s rest brings back a sense of normalcy. However, combine physical exhaustion with sleep deprivation and mental stress, and you have a recipe for some real anger issues leaving you totally overwhelmed. 7. Jealousy Petty jealousy is a normal emotion for most people, but for those that are constantly on guard, with an unrelenting suspicion and mistrust of others, can bring about unhealthy feelings of anger. These beliefs are generally unfounded, and so are their blame and mistrust. This often may interfere with their abilities to form meaningful relationships. 8. Co-Dependency People with co-dependency tendencieshave a low self-esteem. In order for them to feel good about themselves, they need the validation of others. They are totally relying on another’s views and thoughts. Absent the validation, they are unable to find their own identity or self-worth, and they fly off the handle with fits of anger. 9. Hurt Feelings People who get their feelings hurt go through a roller coaster of emotions. For some, the feelings of betrayal and anger are too much to bear. It can be extremely difficult overcoming those feelings, and a feeling of intense sadness, accompanied sometimes by guilt, all too often leads to uncontrollable anger with devastating results. 10. Manipulation This best defines the bully. Bullies’ are those who use their anger to punish, manipulate, and disparage another for their own benefit. They often scream, threaten, or use foul and abusive language in front of others to help boost their own self-esteem and get their way. WAYS TO CONTROL YOUR ANGER *When you begin to feel anger building up, try some breathing techniques. Breathe deeply while repeating a calming word such as “relax” or a phrase like “take it easy” until the anger goes away. *Avoid alcohol or drugs that can exacerbate your angry feelings, causing you to act out impulsively. *Expressing anger in an appropriate way is better than holding it in. Learn how to use assertiveness as a healthier way to express your needs and preferences. *Try to work on your behaviour while seeking the support of friends or relatives. Talking through your feelings can help you change your behaviours in an assertive way. *You may want to keep a journal to log when you are having fits of anger. *Put yourself in the other persons’ shoes to gain a different perspective. *Remember laughter is the best medicine; learn how to laugh at yourself. *Learn also how to listen. This will improve your communication skills and help build some trust between you and others. According to Smithsonian philematologists (scientists who study kissing), when we kiss, we exchange 9 milliliters of water, 0.7 milligrams of protein, 0.71 mg of fats... and somewhere between 10 million to 1 billion bacteria. So why do it? Why expose yourself to the risks of orifice-to-orifice contact, which include disease, infection, beard burn, and tasting someone's bad breath? Well... science is still working on that one. One of the confounding things is that kissing is not a universal human trait - it's a relatively novel practice, evolutionarily speaking, and there are plenty of cultures that do not engage in romantic or sexual kissing. This suggests that it is more of a learned behavior than anything hardwired into our circuitry. The most likely explanation seems to be that kissing is a strategy for testing a potential mate's genetic code. Women particularly favor kissing, and especially during the early stages of a relationship, with the thought being that if a partner tastes bad to you it's less about what they had for lunch and more about searching for signs of disease, genetic imperfections, and detecting little guys called major histocompatibility complex genes. Humans are capable of tasting and even smelling MHC genes, which can indicate just the right amount of biodiversity in order to optimize your chances at having a healthy baby. So maybe Betty Everett was more right than she knew when she told your grandma "it's in his kiss." ![]() Link source here: http://feadexx..com.ng/2017/11/science-discovery-shows-that-we-kiss-to.html You can also read: http://feadexx..com.ng/2017/10/10-types-of-man-you-should-not-marry.html |
Sahaboi:There are a lot of the myths out there about virginity, if you are wondering how you can tell if a girl is still a virgin, the only way to know for sure is to ask her. Not even an examination by a doctor can confirm if a girl has had sex in the past. The same is true for guys. Trying some sort of trick or evaluation is one is fooling himself or herself . Everyone's bodies are so different, there is really no for sure way to know unless a girl tells you the honest truth. One popular myth is that if a girl's hymen is intact she is still a virgin. The hymen is a thin mucous membrane of skin that surrounds or partially covers the opening to the vagina. During sexual intercourse the hymen can sometimes break and tear, causing some pain and light bleeding, but many girls don't have this happen at all. The hymen can also break through a lot of other means, such as vigorous sports like bike riding or gymnastics, using tampons, or through growth and development of her body. That doesn't mean they are not virgin before their first love making encounter. Some girls never have their hymen break at all. Just as I have stated above hymen doesn't determine virginity that is bullet of truth. Other Myths on virginity include 1.Once you are a certain age, you likely have had sex. This is not true to any extent. Some girls and guys don't lose their virginity until they are well into adulthood while others have it happen earlier. 2.A girl looks different after she has sex. Girls who are sexually active look exactly like girls who are virgins. There is no way to know by looking at her (i.e., her breasts don't grow larger, she doesn't walk any different, etc.). 3.A girl who is a virgin is shy or a prude. Many guys and girls would be surprised at which people are virgins and which are not. Many girls who date a lot, have boyfriends and are known as flirts are still virgins. 4.A girl will seem to know more about sex after losing her virginity. While some behaviors may change after one has had sex, this is not the same for everyone. This is especially true after the first time as there are so many unknowns about sex until you have been having sex for a long time. So hope have answered your question Thanks for asking Enjoy your day Feadexx |
Women all over the world get abused, injured and even killed due to the myth of 'virgin bleeding or Virginal bleeding of test of virginity.' Because most people (men AND women) think that bleeding is a sign of virginity, women who don't bleed the first time have been divorced, suffered from suspicion leading to domestic violence and abuse, and even killed for honour. What an erroneous mentality and barbaric incident pampered and pioneered by so called traditions. For you to understand why some girls, ladies and women bleed and some don't, it is very important to understand what the hymen is. The hymen is a membrane that tends to cover part of the vaginal opening (it does not always block or cover the entire vagina, as some people mistakenly think). ONLY 37% WOMEN BLEED FIRST TIME THEY HAVE SEX! The fact about female virginity - why most females would not bleed the first time they have sex. 1. No Hymen A female that is not born without hymen will not bleed the first time she have sex. What will cause the bleeding during sexual intercourse is absent thereby reducing the rate of friction naturally, so there will be no bleeding. That doesn't mean the female in question has lost her virginity earlier on. Capital NO. NOT ALL WOMEN HAVE A HYMEN. 2. Thin Hymen If the hymen of the female is thin or small there is high chance she will not bleed. The hymen could have wear out before she had her first sexual experience. Also, due to the nature of the hymen(thin or small) the bleeding flow may reduce drastically to an extent that it might not be notice at all or it will be too little to be counted as bleeding but as a mere injury or stain in the area of the vaginal opening. 3. Worn Out Hymen It is not unnatural for female hymen to wear off before the age of sexual maturity. Hymen can wear off through physical exercise, climbing a horse for a ride, during menstruation, dancing vigorously, bicycling and other activities that stretches the hymen to elastic limit. A female that have lost her hymen due to wear or tear will not experience bleeding during first time sex. That does not comprise her previous moral chastity. According To Medical British Journal: At least 63% of women - will NOT bleed the first time they have sex. 4. Thick Hymen When a female is born with a thick or strong hymen. The chances of bleeding during first sexual intercourse is very much reduce or very low. The reason is that, the hymen could withstand wear and tear during the process of vaginal sex, that is, the hymen can tolerate the rate of friction without bleed during sex. Although, female with thick or strong hymen are not common in the world. They are only handful of such females among us. So, thinking they are not virgin earlier on is a big mistake. 5. The Age Factor Age factor plays a vital role in virgin bleeding. Just as explained earlier, hymen wears away on its own with time, a 16-year old has a higher chance of bleeding than a 25-year old. By the time a girl is of or above the legal age of consent - 18, 20, 24 years of age, for example - most of her hymen is likely to have worn away on its own, meaning it is unlikely that she will bleed a lot, if at all. However, even a young girl can be physically active, have a thin or small hymen, or have no hymen at all, meaning she might not bleed during first-time sex. That is an undiluted truth unknown to millions of people earth wide most only carry ignorant mentality all about, with wrong belief on virgin bleeding. 6. Vigorous Sex In most cases, female who bleed tend to be women who are dealt with roughly during sex. If the guy forces himself inside the girl, when she isn't ready, relaxed or aroused enough(lubrication of the internal wall of the Virginal opening during sex) the man is likely to cause injury or bleeding. The wrong notion most people think is that, it is normal for women to bleed the first time they have sex, they don't realize that this bleeding is as a result of the woman having been hurt, and not of the hymen 'breaking.' Painful first-time sex is generally because the woman is not relaxed or aroused enough, and gets hurt as a result; it is rarely ever because of the hymen breaking. Capital No. There are certain females who have a very sensitive hymen that degenerate slowly over time, if they have sex for the first time they might bleed in multiple encounter as a result of the nature of their hymen, till the bleeding stops in the next sexual act which might be the 3rd or 7th encounter depending on the the rate of wearing off. IN CONCLUSION Virginal Bleeding During first time sex does not have anything to do with virginity - it has to do with the kind of hymen a girl has, and hymens differ from girl to girl naturally from birth. Research have proved that only a small 37% of females bleed when they have sex first time, while the remaining large 63% of females don't bleed when they have sex for the first time. It is the truth covered by myth. However, It is imperative to educate people that a girl does not necessarily have to bleed the first time she has sex - because not all girls have thick hymens, and some are born with no hymen at all - is important because it can literally save lives. The body’s microbiome is made up of trillions of good bacteria that digest food, produce vitamins and protect it from germs and disease. But when kids consume too much sugar, it can alter the balance between good and bad bacteria and weaken their immune systems. So although your children may still get frequent colds, their symptoms may be reduced if their sugar intake is reduced as well. 1-CONCENTRATE LESS IN CLASS: When Your beloved child consume high levels of sugar and attempt a mentally challenge class work or assignment(mathematics), his or her body produce high levels of cortisol, a stress hormone that makes remembering more difficult. High levels of cortisol in the system of your child makes the child unable to concentrate well in class. The cortisol levels also make your child unable to sit quietly in class,a kind of restlessness, which affect class activities and low academic performance on the part of your child. 2- AFFECT MEMORY FUNCTION: When Your child or children consume large amount of sugar, it makes them experience a sugar HIGH,followed by sugar CRASH. The body system is designed in such a way that if there is high levels of sugar in the body,it react by producing high levels of INSULIN. Excess insulin in the body is linked to lowered blood glucose, that cause impair memory and low attention span. Both memory and attention are essential ingredient for learning and good grades in school. 3- IT KILLS HEALTHY BRAIN FOODS: The more children consume sugar, the less they consume healthy brain foods such as grains, vegetables, fruits and the dairy products, their appetite for these healthy brain foods decreases, while their appetite for unhealthy brain foods increases like fruit flavour candy, soda or sugary soft drinks and sugary snacks. However,is not about sugar consumption itself, but what the children are giving up when they consume more sugar required by their bodies. The fact is when sugar moves into the digestive tract, it sends a signal to the brain to tell the body that it is full or better still satisfied, that is why children crave for more sugary foods known as empty calories and kill their craving for brain enhance foods(healthy brain foods) that boost their intelligent or IQ. 4- IT CAUSE DEPRESSION IN CHILDREN:The body system of some certain children are unable to process sugar properly,in most cases it leads to depressive symptoms. Inability of the body to absorb carbohydrates, including sugar may cause depression in children and adolescents. Depression symptoms such as fatigue, sadness and hopelessness can make school and school work difficult. Impacting negatively on their academic performance. 5- IT CAN LEAD TO OVERWEIGHT IN CHILDREN(OBESITY): If children often consume large amount of sugar like sweetened drinks and snacks it can lead to childhood obesity.Obesity is linked to low academic performance and low self-esteem in school, as a result of teasing, mocking and bullying, which might affect the cognitive function of the child, class activities, attention span and grade score. The WHO recommend that you get no more than 5% of your daily calories from sugar. That is about 6 teaspoons of sugar per day, Much of the sugars consumed today are “hidden” in processed foods that are not usually seen as sweets. For example 1 tablespoon of Bobo contains around 16-20 grams (around 4-5 teaspoon) of sugars. A single can of sugar-sweetened soda (coke, fanta, pepsi etc) contains up to 40 grams (around 10 teaspoons) of sugars. Source:Feadexx..com |
