Politics / Re: President Bola Tinubu Meets With The Emir Of Qatar. by allthingsgood: 4:53pm On Mar 03
franchasofficia:
How many prosperous and working countries do you see their President or King or ruler globetrotting from one country to another begging foreigners to come and invest in his country even when he knows he hasn't fixed the major issues that naturally attract investors? In this life, if you want to excel you copy what prosperous people did. Learn from successful people, stop doing the same thing your failed predecessors did and still failed. Do things differently with some touch of wisdom if you want a positive and rewarding outcome.

Even the Bola Tinubu going about the world begging investors doesn't even believe in Nigeria because most of his stolen wealth is stashed outside Nigeria.

Is Russian President going about begging the world to come and invest in Russia? Is Chinese Xi Jinping doing that? Even India, etc?

Put your house in order first before going about begging foreigners like a leper to come and invest in your country.

Dangote built refinery in Nigeria, Nigeria is an crude oil producing country yet Dangote is importing crude from USA to refine.

All these and many more points to the fact that Nigeria have a fundamental problem that need the President to sit down at home and work with competent hands from all tribes and regions to address, not jumping around the world dressed like a lost goat wearing yeye signature cap and parading your tribesmen forming tribal champion in 2023 and you expect all to be well?

Declare state of emergency in security matter in Nigeria and do a live broadcast warning all troublemakers, terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, terrorists and land grabbers disguising as herdsmen, give them a deadline to vacate or quit making Nigeria unsafe for Nigerians that your government will not tolerate it.

As you are doing that, you are issuing serious orders to all service chiefs on what and what to do, you are planning to do a mass recruitment of both Police, Army, Civil Defense etc, you are working more seriously on local or State Policing, if need be, on the temporary, you are negotiating with competent foreign mercenaries with a target to wipe out Terrorists, Bandits and anybody displacing farmers so farmers can confidently return to their farms all over Nigeria to boost food production and you are also creating modernized ways for animal herders to modernize their herding business to reduce clashes with farmers to boost that sector.

Open industrial hubs, open youth IT hubs in all 36 states where Nigerian youths can go to acquire topnotch global IT skills so we can start exporting IT experts.

Give order to Medical Council, Nursing Council, Pharmacy council to increase admission quota for medical and nursing schools so we can produce more medical professionals that we can even export to earn forex and approach WHO to remove Nigeria from red listed countries of countries lacking enough medical professionals and tell them we have more than enough and can even help other countries in need of medical professionals. Of course we have the youth population to produce medical professionals to serve Nigeria and the rest of the world.

Stop appointing mostly your tribesmen into key political positions, make it merit based no matter your tribe or religion. Harness our Diaspora experts.

Sit in Nigeria as President, stop all travels for 2 years and do these things and more that I cant pen down here, and watch Nigeria turn around.

You guys always have problem for every situation. Why can’t u just be happy for little successes You are there listing do this and do that, why not go and contest if u have such fantastic ideas? It’s sooo easy to sit at home and complain

WesternPanzer:
Why is Nigeria cursed with terribly useless leaders?

This was how the antelope called Buhari was globe trotting like Ajala for years. Sadly, nothing positive came out of the travels. Because Nigeria actually got worse after the buzu left. Wasting billions of tax payers money.

Now this Man I had a lot of respect for in the past has started towing the same ill fated line. I honestly thought Tinubu was a master strategist but his presidency has proven that this man is nothing but a crafty con artist who is really good at manipulating his way to the top. He has gotten the presidential power and his strategy is nothing but a TRIAL AND ERROR PRESIDENCY.

Through his media team which his tribesmen control, They have started selling the same SNAKE OIL quote that "THINGS WILL BE TERRIBLY BAD OR WORSE BEFORE IT GETS BETTER". And their Zombies in Nigeria have started swallowing this poison.

But this was same trick they used under BUHARI and wasted 8 years of peoples lives and destinies. You see the trick?

(1) Must 1 bag of Rice be 80,000 before it becomes 3,000?

(2) Must Bread be 3,000 before it becomes 100 naira?

(3) Must Garri be a cup 250 before it becomes 5 naira?

(4) Buhari met dollar at less than 200 and balloned it to over 750. They said it will get better. Tinubu came and balloned it to over 1800. It gained 300 in the past days and people are rejoicing? For what? What happened to the 185 it was under Jonathan? Must dollar be 5,000 before it beomes 1 naira you promised?

If you had any connection to the people you are ruling, you will understand that the things mentioned above are things that affect over 80% of your population who are actually dying in their numbers. But you wicked souls don't care.

Nigerians should take their destinies in their hands.

Nigeria has really retrogressed to the bottomless pit of abyss due to the actions and inactions of all her past and present very incompetent leaders.

A country of over 200 million people that cannot solve her electricity problems or feed themselves after 64 years of independence is that a country? sad sad

If not for less population, South Africa, Botswana, Equitorial Guinea, Gabon, Libya that is fighting a war, Mauritius, Egypt, Tunisia, Morroco and Algeria are actually the REAL GIANTS of Africa. Their standard of living is far better than Nigeria. Far Far better.

Nigeria is Just One Big GIANT LOOKING LAND MASS. Divide Nigeria into her constituent republics and you will see how retrogressed we have become as a nation over the years. It will become clear that we are "GIANT BECAUSE OF NUMBERS".

Do what you know how to do best: NAG.

Family / Re: Why So Much Hatred Between Step Siblings? by allthingsgood: 2:01pm On Mar 01
Darlingme:
There's a lady cleaner in my office, who recently lost his eldest brother. They live in the same city, where she has no meaningful job, no accomodations, but his big brother is a multi millionaire. Who can fix her up in a jiffy, but according to the story, he wouldn't because they're step siblings and past record from her mom towards his mom, wouldn't let him help any of his step siblings.
My questions are:
Why is there too much hatred among step siblings?
Isn't your father the root cause of your hurt?
Why do you easily forgive your father, but can't do the same to his children?
Why do we inherit enemies from our parents and don't want to let go?
Why do men still choose to have children from different women knowing that their children might not love each other and might even give him much trauma in old age due to bitterness and hatred for each other?
Is it same in other part of the world?
What is your general opinion on a polygamous family?

Not only step siblings

Sometimes even children with the same mother and father hate each other with passion

emkz:
I propose to drop the following:

(1) Hanatu Musawa
(2) Lola Ade-John
(3) Bayo Adelabu
(4) Gboyega Oyetola
(5) Lateef Fagbemi SAN
(6) Senator Geidam
(7) Uche Nnaji
(8 ) Dr Bosun Tijani (I don't know what the hell he is doing). The most basic thing for him to do is to get us a functional database. Let us get everyone captured by NIN. How can you plan without data?
(9) Minister of Education: he is confused.

I'd also ask the president to advertize the jobs so that unknown members of the public and those in diaspora can apply and they should be screened. I'd ask the president to hire a reputable recruiting firm to grill nominees on their programmes and what they want to contribute to national development. This is necessary because the senate screening is clearly a joke. Let us change the way we recruit public servants and not leave things to politicians.

Questions we can ask:

(1) Identify the functional ways to address low food productivity nationwide that can produce results in two months.
(2) Assuming you are given portfolio xyz, what targets do you set for yourself for the next six months to two years?
(3) Let them study the party manifesto and explain how they'd implement the plans.
(4) What do you understand by the public procurement system and accounting?
(5) Write an essay on the development agenda you'd like to see working for the country. Identify the defects in your proposal.
(6) Then gather all of them in a room and give them case histories of Nigeria's current challenges. Give them 2 hours to brainstorm and 1 hour to put their thoughts together to advise the president.
Finally, let the ministers sign an undated resignation letter and let them know they'd be on probation for three months, and their continued stay in the cabinet would be tied to performance.

Imagine Hanatu Musawa clearly has no clue what to do with a big ministry. Imagine Lola Ade John going missing since her confirmation. Imagine Bayo Adelabu jumping from one party to another as if he thinks ministerial appointment is for fun.

President should advertise appointment
Are u living in neptune or jupiter? lol
When they were busy following him to campaign, where was your recruitment agency
My dear forget such talk.

But i agree that the ones u mentioned should be dropped asap. Including Uju Kennedy the mad minister of women affairs that wanted to sue UN

dettolgel:

In as much as I salute his courage to implement this report, I am a bit skeptical.

Why did previous government not implement it?

Did Tinubu do in depth consultation to understand why it was never implemented?

The reason I asked is that subsidy removal and floating of naira were on the table for several years and no government dared to touch it. Even Buhari did it in such away that subsidy removal will not be done in his tenure.

Tinubu came in and wanted to secure quick wins and start implementing those things without thinking properly. We all know it ended.

For the sake of all of us, I wish his rash implementation of other people's idea without thinking it through or even modifying it to suit the current reality on ground works. Because if it works it works for all us including the masses but if it fails we the masses will suffer it most.

This is the most sensible comment i have read today
