Business / Re: CBN Reforms Boost Diaspora Remittances By $172m In A Month by allthingsgood: 3:03pm On Jun 26
VanuatuWycombe:

I didn’t say it’s a bad news. I said it’s misleading.
Sharing subsequent data would disprove or confirm what I have said.

There is no direct correlation between sacking of CBN Directors and increase in remittances from diaspora.
It is good CBN shares more insight it feels it has which could have brought the improvement.

Were the sacked Directors the ones talking to our brothers and sisters abroad not to send enough money before?

I was lucky to have worked at CBN and also live abroad. So a could say, fairly, why diaspora remittances could increase during festive periods and drop, a month or two, after festive period.

So where is the said data? If you say its misleading, then bring the data to prove your point. He who asserts must prove
Also that you worked inCBN does not give you the right to make false accusations. Let us learn to cherish little victories. If you like relocate to neptune or jupiter, the only pleace you can truly call home is Nigeria. So quit the unnecessary hate and cynicism.

VanuatuWycombe:

Not pained, bro.

It’s a misleading news.
I would like if CBN can share diaspora remittances for subsequent months after May with us and you would see what I mean.

What they just said was a political statement. It wasn’t the reason remittances improved in May.

Did it mean that before the CBN directors were sacked, Nigerians abroad were afraid that the directors will still their money or what?
CBN needs to share the trends, month-over-months, and year-over-year.

I am an advocate of a better Nigeria but is not good to mislead our people.

Ok you are saying its misleading news, but you have no evidence that its misleading. Where is your evidence that the figures brought out by CBN is wrong But If it was bad news now of kidnapping or bombs, you wont object but gleefully abuse the government. I just dont understand what you guys gain by being negative and pessimistic. The only thing you love hearing is bad news. Is there any witchcraft more than this.

humberjade:
Well, the increase in remittance is not far-fetched, it is as a result of the hyperinflation affecting the Nigerian economy. For example, a mother you used to send 200k to for monthly upkeep now needs triple of that to sustain her upkeep from a year earlier.

Also in the same vain, those in the diaspora too needs to work like horses to meet up with these new demands and keep up with their own bills too.

E dey touch everybody so to a large extent, it is nothing to rejoice about.

So what did u gain by this negativity

Lobish. It’s because of Sallah festival spending, not because of CBN reforms.

Na so e dey be for Christmas and new year period too.

E go dey low, a month or two, after Sallah and Christmas/new year celebrations.

Hezbollah and Lebanon 🇱🇧 are busy sounding the drum 🥁 of war..

They will quickly rush into a war without any strategy to defend and protect their people and civilians..
When Israel starts attacking them now... Their people will go on TikTok and start crying 😢 like babies..

To win a war is like football game you need both effective offensive and defensive strategies..

Using humans as shield 🛡 is not a defensive strategy

How are they sounding drums of war? Did u even read the post or just obssessed with supporting Israel?

Liars and propagandists are at work again. The Biafra Liberation Army (BLA) did NOT enforce or kill anyone who was NOT sitting at home on Monday. If anyone was killed, you need to ask the agents of the government who are being used to cause mayhem in Biafra land in a bid to blackmail the Biafra Republic Government In Exile.

This your lies makes absolutely no sense. If government wants to kpai u, they dont need any ridiculous sit at home. Also wtf is biafra

This is the problem with you Igbos. You are quick to see the speck in other people's eyes while their is a log in una own eyes. Keep talking about other people's house while yours is burning. You are quick to make generalization. Did you not see what the governor of Oyo state did to the agitators that attempted to take over Agodi government house? The house they use for meeting was immediately pulled down, the agitators arrested and now have a date in court.

They cant do same in the east because the governors either support ipob or are afraid of them. It is much easier ans fun to blame Federal Govt for everything cool

One of the major problem is biased thinkers like you who will never say the truth .

This is why some people hate religion because it prevents many people from unbiased reasoning.

Many countries sell weapons including the Russia we are talking about here. But Na USA be your problem all because of your religious affiliation.

As usual you love to jump into conclusion and talk rubbish. I have no religious affiliation.

Hia.. The mentality of some Nigerians is something else.

That guy is correcting you and yo do not want to hear. For your info all the weapons used for terrorism are owned by Russians, AK47 and all. Americans do not let there weapon outside in the hands of terrorist, that is why they do not sell their weapon to any country that supports terrorism, but Russia on the other hand do not care they can sell weapon to anyone be it Bokoharan, UGM, bandit or whatever, so now you know the country that makes the most money from weapon sales to terrorist.

Dont mind them, they do not read, always assuming they know it all.

You are talking rubbish. You don't have any statistics of the most weapons used. You just sit in your cubicle and formulate non existent data

The man is in a midlife crisis. The wife probably didn't handle it well. See bleaching nau. Fine black man now looking like masquerade. All men go through this tho, because of the heavy expectations placed on their shoulders by society. He will later come back to his senses, just that by then the destruction of his family will be complete.
