Here are the things you can do to better yourself in one month: • Don’t keep scrolling Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram or other social media apps over and over. Keep some time aside for social media and don’t open it otherwise. Also, stop waiting for that text from your crush. • Develop a habit of reading and studying every day. If nothing, at least your vocabulary will improve in a month. • Avoid watching random YouTube videos. I know some of them are very short and entertaining, but it is still a waste of time. • Do regular exercise. Drink more water. Avoid chips. Eat healthy foods. • Only eat while eating. Only watch TV while watching TV. Do not multitask. • Take the stairs. • Learn to cook more. If you were to enter your favourite restaurant’s kitchen and see how they work, you would never step back in. • Talking for 10 minutes at the end of the day is better than chatting all day long. • Do something that doesn’t concern you. Whether it is helping your dad in his business or helping a friend with a project. Create some time to do things for people. • Meet your friends. They have the superpower of bringing you back to earth in case you start going astray. • Don’t ignore talking to your family or your peers. • Watch half an hour of a movie every day to finish it in 4 or 5 days. Binge-watching sounds cool only in the virtual world. • Just sit for 10 minutes. Close your eyes and just sit calmly or observe a good posture while sitting. • Make it your goal of the day to learn something fresh. At the end of the day, open your phone notepad and type what you learnt. Do this to sleep peacefully and calmly. Some people have been addicted to masturbation and it has been difficult for them to resist it. If you belong to this category, I want to assure you that there is a way out of this addiction. You can come out of it if you follow or take these steps below: 1. Cry to God and ask God for total deliverance. 2. Soak yourself in God's word. Write out the promises that speaks of deliverance and confess them as often as possible. 3. Charge yourself up by praying in the Holy Spirit. 4. Run away from anyone or anything that can make you fall, such as pornographic videos, obscene movies, etc. 5. If you fall, don't condemn yourself, run to God and ask for His forgiveness. 6. You can stay with someone that will not make you be alone especially at night. The urge might come when you are all alone by yourself. 7. Never think you cannot fall, even when God has delivered you, keep fighting to remain on your feet so you don't fall Masturbation is a battle you need to fight continuously. Don't give up! As you keep fighting this devilish act or addiction, always back it up with fervent prayers. When you have won over the addiction to masturbation, God will instill His grace, power, wisdom in you to resist the urge at any point in time. To be entirely free from the act of masturbation, you should endeavour to accept the Lordship of Christ, don't give the devil a chance in your life, draw closer to God and focus on eternity in view.
