A young man who went viral in 2022 after receiving a widely discussed “side-eye” from popular nightlife entrepreneur, Cubana Chief Priest, has resurfaced online, accusing the businessman of allegedly “taking his glory.” Eyes Of Lagos reports,
The fan, whose interaction with Cubana Chief Priest at a public event sparked massive attention on social media years ago, made the allegation in a recent video that has since gone viral.
Recall that in 2022, the young man became an internet sensation after a brief encounter with Cubana Chief Priest, during which the businessman’s facial expression was widely interpreted by social media users as dismissive.
Following the backlash and online debate that ensued, Cubana Chief Priest reportedly gifted the young man N500,000. In 2023, the fan later admitted in a separate interview that he had squandered the money.
In a dramatic turn of events, the young man returned to social media in 2025, claiming that his life had not been the same since receiving the cash gift.
He alleged that the money had brought misfortune into his life and suggested—without evidence—that Cubana Chief Priest may have spiritually “taken his glory” through the act.
In the viral video, the young man publicly appealed for Cubana Chief Priest to provide his bank account details so he could refund the N500,000.
Speaking partly in Pidgin English, he said the gift had caused ongoing problems for him and that he wanted to “recover his glory” by returning the money.
He also expressed frustration over persistent rumours online, claiming people wrongly assumed he had received millions of naira.
The young man further threatened legal action if Cubana Chief Priest failed to respond, stating that the original viral incident continued to affect him emotionally and socially.
The video has sparked mixed reactions across social media platforms, with some users mocking the claims, while others expressed sympathy for the young man’s apparent distress.

Phyna, however, questioned the necessity of the directive, describing it as unfair and unnecessary.
In the viral footage, the self-styled “Hype Queen” expressed frustration over what she described as selective enforcement of the rule.
She queried whether the same restriction would have been placed on other popular internet personalities, saying:
“If na Speed or Peller come here, una go tell dem make dem drop camera?”
Her reaction suggested concerns about double standards and unequal treatment of guests.
Phyna stated that security officials maintained that filming was strictly prohibited within the party venue, insisting the rule applied to all attendees.

Calvin Bassey’s Father Begs for Reconciliation After 18 Years: “Please Forgive Me”
The estranged father of Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey has made an emotional appeal for forgiveness and reconciliation, nearly 18 years after losing contact with his children following the collapse of his marriage. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
Speaking in a widely circulated interview on social media, Mr. Ughelumba, who hails from Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, said he has endured years of silence and heartbreak while hoping for a chance to reunite with his son.
According to him, his first three sons — Elvis, Mathew and Calvin Ughelumba — were born in Italy, while his youngest son, Michael, was born in Ireland. The family later relocated to London, where marital challenges eventually led to separation.
Ughelumba explained that the separation occurred after unresolved marital disagreements, adding that the situation escalated suddenly while he was away at work.
“We had normal husband-and-wife issues. I went to work, and before I returned, she had left with the children,” he said.
He disclosed that communication remained completely severed for years until 2017, when his estranged wife allegedly reached out because the children required Nigerian passports.
“That was the first time she contacted me after many years. I sent all my documents and even paid for their flight tickets. When they stayed with me, I never spoke badly about their mother,” he stated.
He claimed that contact was cut off again after Calvin secured a professional football contract.
Ughelumba revealed that he has made several attempts since 2020 to reconnect with his children, particularly Calvin, but all efforts ended unsuccessfully.
He recalled travelling from London to Leicester during the COVID-19 lockdown in a bid to see his son when he was still with Leicester City.
“I wasn’t going there because he was a footballer. I just wanted to see my son,” he said.
According to him, officials of Leicester City assisted in reaching Calvin, who initially responded warmly.
“They called him by the childhood name I used to call him — ‘Biggy’ — and he responded immediately.”
However, the meeting reportedly ended abruptly after Calvin contacted his mother.
“He told me to say whatever I wanted to say and leave. He said he didn’t want to see me again,” Ughelumba recounted.
He further disclosed that he travelled from Italy to Côte d’Ivoire during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in another attempt to reconnect, and later moved to Abuja to pursue the matter, but was unsuccessful.

In 2022, he completed a record €23 million transfer to Ajax, before returning to the English Premier League in 2023 with a €22 million move to Fulham.
The 26-year-old defender made his Super Eagles debut in 2022 and has since become a regular member of the national team, featuring at two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.

“Since I was six, it has been just my mum and us boys,” Bassey once said. “Putting her name on my shirt was my way of saying thank you.”
Speaking emotionally, Ughelumba said he harbours no resentment toward his children and pleaded for forgiveness.
“I have no problem with my children. Even if I am a devil, I cannot be a devil where my children are,” he said.
“I have been dying in silence, but I am still praying for peace.”

The actress made the allegation via her social media platforms, where she identified the suspect as Emmanuel Davis, said to be affiliated with Lagos Sounds.

Ademoye lamented that the action resulted in the loss of revenue from the movie, stressing that she would never take credit for work that does not belong to her.
“I will never lay claim to what is not mine,” the actress stated, adding that she is determined to pursue the matter until those responsible are held accountable.
In a further revelation, the actress also called out another alleged pirate identified as Anwuli, whom she accused of sabotaging a separate movie project that had garnered over six million views online.

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has expressed confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s efforts to address Nigeria’s lingering insecurity, describing the challenge as serious but not beyond the capacity of the Federal Government to resolve.
Ladoja made the remarks on Friday in Abuja while speaking with journalists after paying a courtesy visit to President Tinubu, during which they discussed national security and economic concerns. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
The traditional ruler acknowledged that insecurity remains Nigeria’s most pressing problem, noting that it has continued to cripple agriculture and disrupt everyday economic activities across the country.
According to him, fear of attacks has forced many farmers to abandon their farmlands, thereby threatening food security and livelihoods, with the menace no longer limited to the northern part of the country.
“The major problem that we really have now is the problem of insecurity. Farmers find it difficult to go to their farms. It is already coming to the South also,” Ladoja said.
Despite the growing concern, the Olubadan said he believes President Tinubu is actively confronting the security situation, stressing that while the challenge is complex, it is not insurmountable.
“I don’t think it is insurmountable; we believe that the President is tackling it currently,” he stated.
Ladoja cited Tinubu’s performance as former governor of Lagos State as evidence of his ability to manage difficult governance and security challenges.
“If you know from where he is coming, you will know that he knows what he is doing. He was able to get Lagos from where it was to where he left it,” he said.
The monarch also noted that governance at the subnational level has improved, with states now having greater financial capacity than in previous years.
“The states have more money than we had when we were governors. They are able to meet their commitments more than what we had when we were governors,” Ladoja added.
He expressed optimism that ongoing economic and security reforms under Tinubu’s administration would stabilise the country over time and strengthen national institutions.
Looking ahead, the Olubadan said he hopes Tinubu’s leadership will leave Nigeria in a better position by the end of his tenure.
“We hope that when he is leaving in 2031, he will have put Nigeria where all of us would be proud of,” he said.

He added that the journey has not been without challenges, recounting moments when unexpected issues, such as weather conditions, affected his business operations — including an incident where strong wind reportedly scattered his suya pepper.
The viral video has triggered mixed reactions online, with users sharing both praise and criticism.
One TikTok user, @MrsHil, claimed to have personal knowledge of Ajayi, writing, “He managed my children’s nursery. Nice to see him thriving.”
However, others shared less positive experiences. A business owner, Non Tarnish Jewelry Store, commented that while they admired his content on YouTube, their personal encounter with him was disappointing due to his response.

While opinions remain divided, his journey continues to trend across social media platforms.

Several fans dismissed the criticism as unnecessary, noting that Burna Boy faced no legal action and successfully fulfilled his performance obligations at the AFCON event.

In the viral video, the man claimed that Canadian authorities had taken steps to dissolve the ministry, insisting that it no longer exists as a registered religious organisation in the country.
Speaking in the video, the man further called on Canadian immigration authorities to investigate the status of an individual identified as Bashiru Igbanor, also known as Pastor David Igbanor, alleging that his residency or work permit was tied to the now-dissolved ministry.
According to him, the alleged dissolution means the individual no longer has legal grounds to remain in Canada under that permit.
“We will not allow any fake church to operate. I want to inform the public that Greater Liberation City International Ministry Centre, owned by Chris Okafor and operating in Toronto, Canada, has been dissolved. By law, they no longer exist here. This is why we are calling on immigration authorities to take necessary action,” the man claimed.
He further alleged that the individual should return to Nigeria, stating that the basis of his stay in Canada was no longer valid.

A user identified as Esperanza wrote that a person’s worth should not be defined by their financial status, stressing that poverty is a circumstance rather than a moral failing.
Another commenter, JP Attueyi, noted that in some families, meetings and decisions revolve around the wealthiest member, whose absence or opinion determines the outcome of discussions.
Aditi added that while the situation is not entirely new, people are now more open about attaching value to money, even in places where love and kinship should prevail.
Other users approached the topic from a more pragmatic perspective, arguing that money has become a tool for survival, independence, and protection in modern society.
Ken, another respondent, stated that financial stability often provides the freedom to leave unhealthy situations and confront life’s challenges, whether one likes it or not.
Similarly, Praveen observed that as the cost of living continues to rise, affection and presence are increasingly measured by financial contribution rather than emotional connection.
Adding humour to the conversation, PapiSpit remarked that love now seems to come with a “cover charge,” joking that being financially broke can quickly relegate one to the status of a distant relative.
The ongoing discussion highlights a broader societal concern about how economic hardship and rising living costs are influencing relationships, values, and expectations within families.
As reactions continue to pour in, many agree that while money may not buy love, it increasingly determines visibility, voice, and inclusion—raising questions about compassion and humanity in today’s world.

His post quickly gained traction, triggering heated reactions from Nigerians across X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook, with opinions sharply divided along political and generational lines.
While some users interpreted the defection as a sign of internal disagreement within Atiku’s camp, others dismissed it as a calculated political strategy.

Others drew parallels with political developments in other countries, while some suggested the defection might be part of a long-term political chess game rather than outright opposition to his father’s ambition.
Another commentator noted that political affiliations within families are not unusual, comparing the situation to religious differences among family members.
The reported defection comes at a critical time as opposition figures intensify consultations and coalition talks ahead of the next general election. Analysts say the move, whether symbolic or strategic, underscores the complex dynamics shaping Nigeria’s political landscape as 2027 approaches.
Neither Atiku Abubakar nor his media aides have officially responded to the reports as of the time of filing this report.

The military equipment was officially handed over to Nigerian security forces in Abuja, marking another step in the long-standing bilateral security partnership between both nations.
AFRICOM confirmed the delivery in a statement shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Tuesday, noting that the supplies were aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s operational capacity.
“U.S. forces delivered critical military supplies to our Nigerian partners in Abuja. This delivery supports Nigeria’s ongoing operations and emphasises our shared security partnership,” AFRICOM stated, while tagging the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria (@USinNigeria).
Although details of the equipment were not disclosed, the delivery is understood to be part of broader U.S.–Nigeria security cooperation, which includes intelligence sharing, logistics support, and specialised training for counterterrorism and stability operations across the country.
The development comes amid intensified military offensives by Nigerian forces against terrorist groups, armed bandits, and other criminal networks, particularly in the North and North-West regions, where insecurity has remained a major challenge.
AFRICOM, a unified combatant command of the United States Department of Defense, is responsible for coordinating U.S. military activities and security partnerships across Africa, with the exception of Egypt.

Both the U.S. and Nigerian governments have repeatedly stressed that sustained security collaboration is vital to addressing cross-border threats, safeguarding civilians, and promoting long-term peace and stability in the region.
