“I’m Single and Tired” – Comedian Princess Calls on Nigerian Pastors for Help Finding Love

Popular Nigerian comedian and actress, Princess, has stirred widespread reactions on social media after publicly appealing to prominent Nigerian pastors to help her find a suitable life partner.

In a video shared on her official Instagram page, the entertainer openly called on respected church leaders, including Pastor Bolaji Idowu, Pastor Philip Olumbakin, Pastor Jerry Eze, Apostle Selman Okeke, and Apostle Femi Lazarus, urging them to assist her in identifying a kind, responsible man within their congregations. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Princess stated that she believes churches, both physical and online, are filled with men who embody strong values, responsibility, and emotional maturity.

“This video, I’ll be calling out Pastor Bolaji, Pastor Philip Olumbakin, Pastor Jerry Eze, Apostle Selman, and Apostle Femi Lazarus. You all know you have congregants — physical ones and those who follow you online,” she said.

Explaining her motivation, Princess noted that pastors frequently encourage believers to combine prayer with action, adding that her video was inspired by that same principle.

The comedian also addressed her personal life, revealing that she is currently single despite being divorced. According to her, she initially reached out privately for guidance but decided to speak publicly after enduring online ridicule over her marital status.

She questioned the idea that none of the churches she mentioned could have at least one man who is genuinely responsible and kind.

“Are you saying that in your whole church, all the branches, there is not one man that is responsible and kind?” she asked.

Princess concluded by emphasizing that faith should be supported with deliberate steps, noting that as 2026 approaches, she is ready to take practical action toward finding love, companionship, and emotional fulfillment.

The video has since generated mixed reactions online, with many applauding her honesty while others debated whether religious leaders should be involved in personal matchmaking.

RomanceMan Narrates How Girlfriend Dumped Him After He Sold His Car To Send Her Abroad by alphonsojidebab(op): 6:59am On Jan 13
A Nigerian man has taken to social media to recount what he described as a heartbreaking experience after allegedly selling his car and spending his savings to support his girlfriend’s relocation to the United Kingdom, only for the relationship to end shortly after she arrived. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

The man, identified on X (formerly Twitter) as @sidney_sbm, shared screenshots and messages detailing the events leading up to and following his former girlfriend’s move abroad.

According to his account, he sold his personal vehicle and exhausted his finances to fund her travel, documentation, and initial settlement in the UK. He said the decision was driven by love and a desire to support her future.

In messages shared online, the woman reportedly expressed gratitude for his sacrifice before leaving Nigeria but admitted she felt uncomfortable about the extent of what he had done for her.

In one of the messages, she allegedly told him she feared he might regret selling his car and spending so much money on her relocation.

Two months after arriving in the UK, however, the tone of their conversations reportedly changed.

According to the screenshots shared by the man, his girlfriend later informed him that she had changed since relocating and was no longer sure she felt the same way about the relationship.

“I am a changed person now. I don’t know if I feel the same way anymore,” she reportedly told him in a message sent two months after her arrival in the UK.

The disclosure marked the end of their relationship, leaving the man devastated and regretful over the financial and emotional sacrifices he had made.

The story has since sparked intense reactions on social media, with many users sympathising with the man, while others described the situation as a cautionary tale about relationships and financial boundaries.

Some users advised against making major financial sacrifices without legal or marital commitments, while others criticised the woman’s actions, describing them as unfair and emotionally damaging.

The incident has reignited conversations around love, trust, and financial sacrifice in modern relationships, especially in cases involving relocation abroad.

HealthMan Walks Again After Surviving Five-storey Fall, Escapes Amputation by alphonsojidebab(op): 6:47am On Jan 13
A Nigerian man has reportedly regained full mobility after surviving a five-storey fall and overcoming medical predictions that his leg would need to be amputated, in a story that has stirred widespread reactions online.

The account was shared by a Nigerian lady identified as @Vickish11 on social media, while reacting to reports surrounding the death of author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s son, which some Nigerians have linked to alleged medical negligence. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

According to her narration, her father suffered a devastating accident several years ago after falling from a five-storey building. He was rushed to a hospital in critical condition, where doctors reportedly informed the family that his leg had sustained irreparable damage and required immediate amputation.

However, the man’s wife rejected the recommendation and insisted on exploring other medical options.

The family transferred him to another hospital, but the situation reportedly remained the same. Doctors at the second facility allegedly declined initial admission due to the severity of his condition and, after evaluation, also advised that amputation was the only viable solution.

Faced with limited options and distrusting conventional treatment at that stage, the family opted for an alternative route.

According to the account, the injured man was taken to a traditional medical practitioner, where his leg was treated over a prolonged period. The treatment reportedly involved repeated bone resetting, application of herbal pads, and consistent care.

Against medical expectations, the man’s condition gradually improved. Over time, his leg healed completely, and he regained the ability to walk without assistance.

Today, the man is said to be fully mobile, walking normally and having returned to work.

The story has since gone viral, sparking intense debate across social media platforms. While some users described the recovery as a testament to faith, patience, and resilience, others cautioned against dismissing modern medical advice, urging a balanced approach to healthcare decisions.

Sharing her experience, @Vickish11 wrote:

“A few years ago, my dad fell from a five-storey building. Doctors said his leg was beyond repair and needed to be cut off. My mum refused. We tried another hospital, and they said the same thing. Eventually, we took him to a traditional doctor. Against all odds, his leg healed completely. Today, he walks normally and is back to work.”

The story has reignited discussions on medical trust, alternative healthcare, and patient autonomy in Nigeria’s health system.

Early Beginnings: From Lagoon Fishing to Small Settlements

Historical records suggest that Lagos Island’s origins date back to the 15th century, inhabited by the Awori subgroup of the Yoruba people. The early settlers relied heavily on fishing and trade along the Lagos Lagoon, a natural waterway that became a conduit for cultural and commercial exchange.

Fishing and farming

Local crafts and trade with neighboring communities

Interaction with Portuguese explorers in the late 1400s, who referred to the area as “Lago de Curamo” (Lake of Curamo)

Colonial Influence and the Rise of a Trading Hub

By the 19th century, Lagos Island became central to trans-Atlantic trade, particularly after the British annexation in 1861. The colonial administration introduced:

Western-style architecture

Administrative offices

Commercial ports that connected Lagos Island to global trade networks

During this period, Lagos Island emerged as a vital hub for commerce, education, and governance, cementing its influence across the region.
Cultural Evolution: Festivals, Markets, and Heritage

Local arts and crafts: From textiles to contemporary street art, Lagos Island remains a creative hub

Modern Lagos Island: Skyscrapers, Business, and Global Influence

Today, Lagos Island is home to skyscrapers, major banks, and international businesses, making it a financial epicenter for Nigeria and West Africa. Its skyline reflects decades of economic evolution, yet traces of its history remain in heritage sites, traditional markets, and waterfront neighborhoods.

Visitors can still experience the island’s historic Lagos Marina, Tafawa Balewa Square, and Freedom Park, where colonial buildings have been repurposed for arts and leisure, blending history with modern urban life.
Why Lagos Island Should Be on Every Visitor’s List

For tourists, Lagos Island offers:

A deep dive into Nigeria’s colonial and post-colonial history

Cultural festivals and markets alive with tradition

PoliticsIt’s Wrong To Compare Wizkid To Fela - Seun Kuti Fires Back At Fans by alphonsojidebab(op): 3:02pm On Jan 11
Seun Kuti, Afrobeat musician and son of the late legendary icon Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, has criticised repeated comparisons between Afrobeats star Wizkid and his father, describing such claims as disrespectful and misleading. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Speaking during a recent Instagram Live session, Seun cautioned members of Wizkid’s fanbase, popularly known as Wizkid FC, against referring to the Grammy-winning singer as a modern-day Fela. According to him, equating any contemporary artiste with the Afrobeat pioneer undermines the originality, impact, and historical significance of Fela’s legacy.

Seun argued that his father’s influence went far beyond music, stressing that Fela’s art was deeply rooted in activism, resistance, and social consciousness—qualities he believes cannot be casually replicated or transferred to another artist.

He expressed frustration over what he described as persistent online disrespect toward Fela, questioning why his father’s name is often dragged into debates involving modern Afrobeats stars. Seun said such comparisons stem from ignorance rather than genuine appreciation of Fela’s contributions to African music and global political discourse.

The Afrobeat singer also blamed extreme fan rivalries for negatively affecting the Nigerian music industry, noting that unnecessary comparisons and online hostility have made collaborations between artistes increasingly difficult.

According to Seun, fans should focus on appreciating their favourite artistes for who they are, rather than attempting to elevate them by placing them alongside cultural icons of a different era and purpose.

He urged Wizkid’s supporters to celebrate the singer’s achievements on their own merit and allow Fela’s legacy to remain respected and undiluted.

The comments have since sparked widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians divided over the long-running debate between Afrobeat heritage and modern Afrobeats stardom.

CelebritiesWhy I No Longer Advise People To Audition For BBNaija – Phyna by alphonsojidebab(op): 8:26am On Jan 08
Former Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Phyna, has revealed why she no longer encourages aspiring contestants to audition for the popular reality TV show.

Speaking openly during a recent conversation, the reality TV star explained that although BBNaija offers instant fame while the show is ongoing, the attention and popularity often fade shortly after housemates exit the house. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

According to Phyna, the excitement housemates enjoy during the show is largely driven by a recycled fan base that simply shifts loyalty from one season to the next.

“The steeze housemates have on the show, they don’t have it again after leaving the house. It’s the same fan base moving from one person to another — no new people, nothing new,” she said.

She added that once the cameras stop rolling, many former housemates struggle to maintain relevance because the hype does not translate into long-term value.

Phyna also expressed concern that the BBNaija brand no longer carries the same weight it once did. According to her, revealing that one is a former housemate no longer commands the level of respect it used to.

“The show has lost credibility compared to before. When you tell someone now that you came out of BBNaija, they won’t rate you like they did back then,” she stated.

Addressing common misconceptions, Phyna noted that many people believe BBNaija guarantees instant wealth, stability, and lifelong fame. However, she stressed that the reality is far more complicated.

She revealed that several ex-housemates struggle privately after the show, despite maintaining glamorous lifestyles on social media.

According to her, the pressure to stay relevant, secure deals, and meet public expectations can be overwhelming for many former contestants.

Phyna’s honest remarks have reignited discussions online about the true cost of reality TV stardom. Many social media users agreed that while BBNaija offers exposure, it does not automatically secure long-term success.

Her comments serve as a caution to potential contestants, urging them to fully understand what life after the show truly entails.

PoliticsPastor Chris Okafor Surrenders To Police Amid Misconduct Allegations by alphonsojidebab(op): 8:19am On Jan 08
Popular Lagos-based cleric and Senior Pastor of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracles Ministries, Pastor Chris Okafor, has reportedly presented himself to the police following a wave of serious allegations circulating online. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

The Lagos State Police Command confirmed that Pastor Okafor turned himself in after initially failing to honour a formal police invitation. According to the Command, the invitation was issued by the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, on Sunday, with an expectation that he would appear on Monday.

Speaking to TVC on Wednesday, the Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, explained that the pastor’s legal representatives had earlier informed the police of his intention to report, but he did not show up as scheduled.

“When he was invited, he contacted us through his lawyer and said he would appear on Monday. We waited, but he didn’t come. I then directed that he be arrested. He later showed up the following day,” CP Jimoh stated.

Further developments revealed that the matter had already been escalated beyond the state level. CP Jimoh disclosed that the case is now under the supervision of the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 2, Sylvester Alabi.

According to him, investigations into the allegations had been ongoing at the Zone 2 headquarters for several weeks before the Lagos Command confirmed it.

“I verified that the same case was already opened at Zone 2. The AIG informed me that investigations have been ongoing under his command for about three weeks,” Jimoh added.

The police commissioner also addressed growing concerns raised by alleged victims online, noting that social media has become an important channel for public complaints.

He stressed that the police now act proactively when issues gain public attention, especially when they risk escalating into unrest.

“Social media has become a veritable platform for people to lodge complaints. We don’t wait for situations to degenerate before acting in the public interest, as that could lead to a breakdown of law and order,” he said.

The allegations against Pastor Okafor began surfacing in mid-December 2025, when several individuals took to social media to accuse the cleric of misconduct and other related offences. The claims quickly gained traction online, sparking widespread debate and calls for police intervention.

As investigations continue, the police have assured the public that due process will be followed and that all parties involved will be given a fair hearing.

Following their wedding, plans were made for the couple to relocate to the United Kingdom together. However, due to delays in processing her travel documents, the woman remained in Nigeria while her husband returned to the UK to complete necessary arrangements.

While still abroad, the man allegedly agreed to his wife’s request to relocate from Owerri to Abuja for a “change of environment,” despite the fact that she was reportedly still schooling in Owerri at the time.

During this period, he reportedly continued to send her money regularly, catered for her child’s needs, and even set up a shop for her to run.

Trouble reportedly began when the woman allegedly reconnected with her former secondary school boyfriend. The man, described as an errand runner based in Owerri, was allegedly invited to Abuja, where he was reportedly flown in and out, showered with gifts, and financially supported.

The situation reportedly came to light when the ex-boyfriend openly boasted during a gathering that his former girlfriend was sponsoring his lifestyle, allegedly backing his claims with photos and videos.

When confronted by her husband over the phone, the woman reportedly admitted to the affair.

The man was said to have instructed her to vacate his property ahead of his return to Nigeria. However, instead of complying, she allegedly sold off household items and disappeared with the ex-boyfriend.

The story has generated intense reactions on social media, with many Nigerians describing it as a painful reminder about trust, rushed relationships, and the dangers of blind love.

BusinessChurch Or Business? The Debate Nigerians Can’t Stop Having by alphonsojidebab(op): 9:27am On Jan 04
Few topics spark as much debate in Nigeria as the finances of churches. Across social media, public forums, and private conversations, Nigerians continue to ask a recurring question: Is the church still a place of worship, or has it become a business?

The debate is not new, but economic hardship, social media exposure, and the rise of mega churches have intensified public scrutiny. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
Why the Conversation Persists

Nigeria is one of the most religious countries in the world, with millions attending church services weekly. Churches provide spiritual guidance, community support, charity, and hope for many people. However, growing visibility of church wealth has fueled questions about transparency and accountability.

Luxury buildings, private jets, expensive conferences, and large fundraising drives have become flashpoints in the debate, especially at a time when many Nigerians are struggling financially.
The Church as a Spiritual Institution

Supporters argue that churches are primarily spiritual institutions with a divine mandate. They point out that churches:

Offer counseling and emotional support

Run schools, hospitals, and charity programs

Provide relief during crises

Serve as community anchors

According to this view, financial contributions such as tithes and offerings are voluntary acts of faith, not transactions. Many church leaders also emphasize that wealth does not negate spirituality.
The Business Perception

Critics, however, believe that some churches operate with business-like structures. They cite:

Aggressive fundraising methods

Emphasis on prosperity messages

Lack of financial transparency

Celebrity-style lifestyles of some pastors

For these critics, the concern is not religion itself but what they describe as commercialization of faith.
Transparency and Accountability Concerns

One of the biggest issues driving the debate is transparency. Unlike publicly listed companies or NGOs, most churches are not required to publish audited financial reports.

This has led to calls for clearer accountability mechanisms, especially for churches handling large sums of money from congregants.

Some religious leaders have responded by publishing financial summaries or establishing independent boards, while others insist that churches answer only to God and their members.
Social Media and Public Scrutiny

The rise of social media has amplified the conversation. Videos of church fundraising sessions, luxury lifestyles, and controversial sermons now spread rapidly online, often without context.

While social media has helped expose misconduct in some cases, it has also fueled misinformation and generalized criticism of churches as a whole.
What Many Nigerians Actually Want

Despite the noise, many Nigerians do not seek the downfall of the church. Instead, public sentiment often centers on:

Responsible leadership

Honest use of church funds

Compassionate teachings

Less pressure on financially struggling members

The debate reflects a desire for balance — preserving faith while ensuring integrity.
A Conversation That Won’t End Soon

As long as churches remain influential in Nigerian society, questions about money, power, and accountability will continue.

Whether seen as a sacred institution or a structured organization, the Nigerian church occupies a unique space — one that blends spirituality, culture, leadership, and economics.

The ongoing debate is less about choosing sides and more about defining what faith should look like in a changing society.

PoliticsThe Most Common Prayers Nigerians Say During Hard Times by alphonsojidebab(op): 8:59am On Jan 04
In Nigeria, prayer is more than a religious activity — it is a survival language. During periods of economic hardship, insecurity, health challenges, and emotional distress, many Nigerians instinctively turn to prayer as a source of hope, strength, and reassurance.

Across churches, homes, buses, markets, and even social media, certain prayers are repeatedly heard, reflecting the everyday struggles of millions of people. From financial pressures to health concerns and family stability, these prayers reveal what truly weighs on the hearts of Nigerians. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Below is a curated list of the most common prayers Nigerians say during difficult times.

1. Prayers for Financial Help and Survival

One of the most frequent prayers across Nigeria is for financial relief. With rising inflation, unemployment, and increased living costs, many Nigerians pray daily for provision.

Common expressions include prayers for daily bread, open doors, unexpected helpers, debt cancellation, and stable income. These prayers are often heard during early morning devotions, night vigils, and midweek services.

For many, financial prayer is not about luxury but basic survival — food, rent, school fees, and transportation.

2. Prayers for Good Health and Healing

Health-related prayers are deeply rooted in Nigerian spirituality. When access to healthcare is limited or costly, prayer becomes a first response.

Nigerians commonly pray against sickness, sudden death, strange illnesses, and prolonged medical conditions. Many also pray for emotional healing, peace of mind, and strength during long hospital stays or caregiving periods.

Healing prayers are especially prominent during church services, fasting periods, and special prayer programs.

3. Prayers for Protection and Safety

Insecurity has made prayers for protection a daily routine for many Nigerians. From armed robbery and kidnapping to accidents and spiritual fears, protection prayers are common in homes and churches.

These prayers are often said before journeys, at night before sleep, and in the early hours of the morning. Many Nigerians ask for protection over their families, children, workplaces, and movements.

For some, these prayers are accompanied by scripture reading and anointing rituals.

4. Prayers for Marriage and Family Stability

Marriage-related prayers are another major category. Singles often pray for suitable partners, while married couples pray for peace, understanding, and fertility.

Prayers against marital conflict, separation, infidelity, and delayed marriage are frequently mentioned in church prayer points and personal devotion.

Family unity and childbearing remain important concerns, making these prayers emotionally significant.

5. Prayers for Direction and Decision-Making

During uncertain times, many Nigerians pray for clarity and guidance. Whether it involves career decisions, relocation, business choices, or education, prayer is used to seek direction.

These prayers often ask for wisdom, discernment, and the ability to make the “right choice” in confusing situations.

They are especially common among youths, graduates, entrepreneurs, and those facing major life transitions.

6. Prayers Against Delay and Stagnation

Prayers against delay — in marriage, career, finances, or personal progress — are very common. Many Nigerians believe prolonged hardship or lack of progress requires spiritual intervention.

Such prayers are often intense and repeated during fasting periods, midnight prayers, and special deliverance services.

They reflect the frustration of feeling “stuck” despite effort and hard work.

7. Prayers for Peace of Mind and Emotional Strength

Beyond material needs, many Nigerians pray for inner peace. Stress, anxiety, anger, and emotional exhaustion have become common, especially in urban areas.

Prayers for calmness, patience, forgiveness, and emotional healing are often said quietly, away from public attention.

For many, these prayers are about surviving mentally, not just physically.

Why These Prayers Matter

These prayers cut across denominations, age groups, and social classes. Whether Christian, Muslim, or traditionally spiritual, Nigerians rely on prayer as a coping mechanism during hardship.

They also reflect shared realities — economic pressure, insecurity, health challenges, and family expectations — making them deeply relatable and enduring.

As long as hardship exists, these prayers will remain relevant.

PoliticsVerydarkman Reacts After Spotting Seyi Tinubu’s Image On Poster In Morocco by alphonsojidebab(op): 7:52am On Jan 03
Popular social media activist VeryDarkMan has stirred online debate after claiming to have seen a poster bearing the image of Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, during his visit to Morocco. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

In a video shared on his social media page, VeryDarkMan expressed surprise after allegedly spotting the poster inside a hotel bar in the North African country. According to him, the poster appeared to be promoting the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) but prominently featured Seyi Tinubu’s photograph.

The activist questioned why the image of a Nigerian political figure would appear outside the country and suggested it could signal early political ambitions ahead of future elections.

Reacting in his usual outspoken style, VeryDarkMan suggested that the development reflected desperation within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

“I enter hotel for Morocco, guess who I see for bar? Seyi Tinubu. APC una carry campaign reach Morocco? Seyi na footballer? Wetin him picture dey do here? Una really desperate,” he said in the video.

His remarks quickly gained attention, sparking mixed reactions across social media platforms.
Mixed Reactions Trail the Video

While some users agreed with VeryDarkMan’s concerns, others dismissed his claims, arguing that the poster was purely promotional and unrelated to politics.

One user, @Addlinbaby, wrote: “What APC cannot do does not exist.”
Another, @Odsonfx, remarked: “If e reach your turn no work hard. Wait make you win election from social media noise.”

However, others countered his claims. @Kryptotajeer stated:
This is not a political campaign, it’s clearly an advertisement. Seyi Tinubu is popular like many celebrities. Featuring his image isn’t campaigning; it’s pure advertising.”

The video continues to trend as Nigerians debate whether the poster was political in nature or simply a commercial or promotional design linked to the upcoming AFCON tournament.

The brother of late Nollywood actress and filmmaker Allwell Ademola has sparked heated reactions online after publicly calling out some popular actors in the industry, accusing them of showing love only after her death while allegedly abandoning her during her lifetime. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

In a video currently making the rounds on social media, the grieving brother expressed deep frustration over what he described as “performative love” from several Nollywood stars. He questioned why many actors who are now sharing emotional tributes and condolence messages failed to support his sister when she was alive and actively working in the industry.

According to him, Allwell Ademola was known for her generosity and willingness to help others, yet the same level of support was not returned to her when she needed career opportunities, visibility, and professional backing.

He lamented that several A-list actors who are now mourning her did not feature her in their major film projects or help promote her work when she was striving to grow as a filmmaker. Speaking emotionally, he claimed that some colleagues benefitted from Allwell’s kindness, including using their family home as a filming location, but allegedly turned their backs on her afterward.

As reactions continue to trail the exchange, many fans have called for empathy and restraint, noting that grief often brings out deep emotions and unresolved pain.

Regina Daniels, Brother Sweezzy Unfollow Each Other on Instagram Amid Family, Marital Tensions

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and her UK-based elder brother, Sweezzy, have unfollowed each other on Instagram, setting social media abuzz with speculation about possible tension within the Daniels family. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

A check on their Instagram accounts shows that both siblings are no longer following each other, a move that has raised eyebrows among fans, especially as it comes at a turbulent time in Regina’s personal life.

The development follows the actress’ ongoing marital crisis with her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, which has remained a trending topic online in recent weeks.

Further findings revealed that Regina’s brother, Sammy West, has also unfollowed Sweezzy on Instagram. This has further fueled curiosity, as Sweezzy had previously been vocal about Sammy’s legal ordeal and publicly supported him alongside their mother, veteran actress Rita Daniels.

The circumstances surrounding the social media unfollowing remain unclear, as none of the family members involved has issued any statement to explain the situation.

It will be recalled that Sammy West was arrested on November 6, 2025, in Lagos and later taken to Abuja following a petition reportedly filed by Senator Ned Nwoko. He was accused of criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, theft and cyberbullying.

Sammy was granted bail on November 10, 2025, in the sum of ₦5 million, a development that sparked widespread reactions online and drew public support from his family members, including Sweezzy.

The arrest was reportedly linked to the marital dispute between Regina Daniels and Senator Nwoko, with allegations bordering on domestic violence and abuse of power.

Prior to the recent Instagram unfollowing, Regina Daniels had spoken openly about a child custody battle with her estranged husband. She alleged that Senator Nwoko dismissed her nannies, pressured them into making false statements against her and has since filed for full custody of their children, despite the children being under his care.

As of the time of filing this report, all parties involved have remained silent, leaving fans and observers to speculate on the true state of affairs within the family.

Sources further revealed that the separation is not recent, noting that the couple may have been living apart for close to a year. Despite this, they reportedly chose to keep the development private, maintaining a united public image.

According to close associates, the decision to avoid public disclosure may have been influenced by Foluke Daramola’s political aspirations in Oshodi, Lagos, as well as a mutual desire to handle the matter discreetly.

Although the couple continued to appear cordial in public, insiders insist that the marriage had effectively broken down long before the reports surfaced. Both parties were said to have agreed to keep the situation away from public scrutiny.

In a recent Instagram post marking her husband’s birthday, Foluke addressed long-standing questions surrounding Kayode Salako’s previous marriage. She explained that she met him through legal means and was unaware of his first wife at the time. She explained that the trauma shaped her perception of marriage and relationships, adding that her first husband did not understand her emotional scars and often pressured her for intimacy, an experience she described as painful and distressing.

The reported separation has reignited discussions around privacy, polygamy, and the emotional challenges faced by public figures, particularly women in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

As of the time of this report, neither Foluke Daramola nor Kayode Salako has officially confirmed or denied the separation.

CelebritiesNollywood Actors Frederick Leonard And Peggy Ovire Reportedly Go Separate Ways by alphonsojidebab(op): 7:54am On Dec 26, 2025
Popular Nollywood actors Frederick Leonard and Peggy Ovire have reportedly gone their separate ways, sparking renewed conversations across social media about the status of their marriage.

The couple, who became one of Nollywood’s most talked-about celebrity unions, got married on November 19, 2022, following a traditional wedding ceremony held in Warri, Delta State.

Fresh speculation about the relationship followed a post shared on Instagram by veteran Nollywood movie producer Stanley Ontop, who claimed that the couple had been separated for some time. According to him, the marriage had been troubled and allegedly ended long before the reports resurfaced online. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

In his post, Ontop alleged that the union was forced and characterized by frequent conflicts, suggesting that the couple were incompatible. He further claimed that the separation had occurred a while ago, though he provided no official documentation or confirmation from the parties involved.

The producer also made additional claims regarding the couple’s professional relationship, crediting Peggy Ovire with playing a significant role in Frederick Leonard’s career development. These assertions, however, remain unverified.

Rumours of a possible split between the actors first surfaced in 2023, after Peggy Ovire was noticed appearing publicly without her wedding ring. The development triggered widespread speculation at the time.

Addressing the rumours then, Frederick Leonard dismissed claims of a marital crisis, stating that his marriage is private and not subject to public commentary or online scrutiny.

As of the time of filing this report, neither Frederick Leonard nor Peggy Ovire has issued an official statement responding to the latest claims.

PoliticsFalz Demands Tinubu’s Resignation After Niger School Kidnapping Sparks Outrage by alphonsojidebab(op): 8:04am On Nov 22, 2025
Nigerian rapper and activist, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has called for the immediate resignation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following the abduction of more than 100 students and staff in Niger State. The musician made the call on Thursday while reacting to the worsening insecurity that has continued to plague several regions of the country. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

The attack occurred in the early hours of November 21 when armed men stormed St. Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri, located in Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State. The gunmen reportedly invaded the school premises during morning activities and abducted dozens of students, teachers, and non-academic staff before escaping into nearby forest routes.

The Niger State Police Command confirmed the raid, noting that a joint operation consisting of police tactical units, soldiers, and other security agencies had begun combing bushes and possible hideouts in search of the abducted victims. Authorities say they are working with local vigilantes and community volunteers to widen the search and secure the safe return of the captives.

In a separate statement, officials of the Niger State Government criticized the school’s administration for resuming academic activities without government approval. According to state authorities, schools in high-risk areas were instructed to remain closed pending improved security measures, but St. Mary’s reportedly reopened without clearance despite earlier warnings about bandit activities in the region.

The incident has triggered widespread outrage across the country, with many Nigerians expressing frustration at the federal government’s inability to curb recurring mass abductions, especially in the northern part of the country. Falz, known for his vocal stance on governance and human rights issues, took to social media to express his anger over the deteriorating state of national security.

In a strongly worded post addressed to President Tinubu, the rapper wrote: “YOU HAVE FAILED WOEFULLY @officialABAT TENDER YOUR RESIGNATION NOW!” His statement quickly generated thousands of reactions, with supporters and critics engaging in heated debates online.

Several social media users echoed the rapper’s sentiments, with many insisting that the government has not done enough to safeguard schools and vulnerable communities. One user, identified as @Donxab, wrote, “Sir, with all due respect, resignation is too merciful. People need to be in prison for criminal negligence. How do you sleep when schools are now kidnapping farms?”

Another commenter, @Elow_vin, questioned whether a resignation would create meaningful change, asking, “If he resigns, will his whole cabinet go too? They all need to leave because what is happening in this country is really messy.”

The latest abduction adds to the growing number of school-related kidnappings that have occurred in the country over the past decade, reigniting painful memories of previous mass abductions in states such as Kaduna, Kebbi, Zamfara, and Borno. Parents and relatives of the missing students in Papiri have also expressed deep anxiety as they await updates from security agencies.

Human rights groups have demanded immediate action, urging the government to prioritize community security, intelligence gathering, and collaboration with local forces in high-risk regions. Analysts warn that if the trend continues, educational access in rural areas may further decline as fear spreads among families.

Falz, who has been actively involved in national activism, including the 2020 #EndSARS movement, has once again positioned himself among public figures demanding accountability and structural reform in Nigeria’s security architecture. His call for resignation has intensified discussions on whether leadership changes are necessary to address the country’s persistent insecurity.

As rescue efforts continue in Niger State, Nigerians are waiting for updates from law enforcement agencies regarding the status of the abducted students and staff. The presidency has yet to issue a direct response to Falz’s remarks, but officials say they are working closely with security operatives to restore calm in the affected community.

The incident has once again underscored the need for stronger protection of schools nationwide, especially in regions prone to bandit attacks.
