What extra documents were you asked to send?
I wasn't asked to send anything. I'm just wondering, in case I get new information I'd like to share with the embassy.

Anyone you can use .. I’d advice dom if it’s available
How will it be possible to pay from an ordinary naira account. Also, why'd you advise domiciliary?
TravelRe: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by alusiala: 9:39am On Aug 04, 2019
People that paid education bond, did you have to use a domiciliary account? Or can payment be made from a normal Nigerian bank account.

Ohh okay, cool. Just try to apply early next week if it is possible, thankfully August is about 4 and a half weeks, so you have about five and a half weeks. I sent them a mail at the embassy and they replied that the 8 weeks is not a must but its advised just incase of any thing. Attached their reply
Thanks a lot. I always suspected the 8 weeks thing was more of a worst case scenario time limit. I know someone that got hers in 2 weeks actually.

I am also to resume September 9th and yet to apply for my visa due to some delays from my sponsor. If you're applying at vfs Lagos I heard from a reliable source that it's better to apply on a Friday Or Wednesday since applications goes to Abuja on these days.
Same here. My sponsor wants to pay for the education bond, so I'm just waiting for that

I have paid my tuition in full and also paid for my education bond. I plan to apply on thursday will my sponsor's balance being roughly 1M, is that sufficient?
Are you submitting bank statements in addition to the education bond?

This depends on when your program start date is. if from 18th September, 2019 you are good to submit. If end of August or 2nd of September, I personally won't advise a visa application - just request to defer till January and apply for your visa by october.

Cheers
Thank you so much. My start date is September 9 and, because of things out of my control, the earliest time I can submit is July 25. Would it should still be possible to get a visa in time? I will have all documents and funds and scholarship offer letters complete.

Read from the last 2 weeks ; I've dropped updates from the visa office.

New information as of today however is that , all visa applications should be in latest mid -July, the Irish embassy will be getting a new visa officer from mid August , thus new regulations will apply from September.

Cheers
Please can you explain this a bit more? If one applies after mid July what would be a consequence and how does a new visa officer affect the application?
I saw on the Irish immigration site that they would not attend to applications submitted less then 3 weeks before the course start date.

Hello, nice work on this thread. I want to ask about the Education Bond for Irish study visa. If I get a bond receipt, would I still need to submit my bank statements and my sponsor's statements?

I have paid school fees in full and want to use the bond for a proof of living expenses.

Thank you so much dear... what about home ties and travel history cos I have none undecided
A lack of Travel history doesn't matter. As long as you've not been banned from any country or something.

How come you have no home ties? I'm guessing you're in your 20s, so there's nothing keeping you here?

No family? None?

Anyway when yoj for a student visa. You will need to state that you're going to come back to Nigeria after your studies.

Please I need help oooooo
I just received my second study visa refusal note from Canada, so just this week I applied to Griffith College and DCU for a Masters course for September intake am hoping to get my acceptance letter next week.
* please would my Canadian refusal affect my study visa
* I do not have any reasonable home tie to Nigeria am just about to finish my NYSC
Please can anyone provide me with the documents I need for my visa application, so I can start getting it ready cry
* You have to include all previous visa refusals when you apply for your Irish visa. If you don't disclose all, they will find out and can refuse your Irish study visa.

* Documents needed for Visa applications are here

I used the education bond and provided sponsor’s bank statement.
Thanks for your answer. If my sponsor gets the education bond, his bank statements will show the large deduction in his account funds, will this be an issue? Sorry for my many questions

Hi using the Education bond is the best bet...there is no need for statement of account...for statement of account there is room for doubt or doctored lodgements as against a bond posted which is liquid cash with the Irish govt..
Thanks for you answer. So to confirm, YOU used the education bond and didn't provide your sponsors bank statement?
TravelRe: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by alusiala: 12:03pm On Jul 02, 2019
Lawiiiii:
Yes I did.
I've been looking for someone that used the bond, I'm using UKEAS and the agent is a bit skeptical.
How much was your bond? €7000?
Did you and your sponsor(if any) still submit bank statements?
TravelRe: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by alusiala: 7:29pm On Jun 14, 2019
I have questions about the Education Bond.

Right now, it's saying that the minimum amount required is €10,000.

Secondly, if I use the bond, will I still have to submit bank statements for myself or my sponsor?

Can I literally just submit the education bond receipt and have peace of mind that will be satisfied?

Thanks guys.
