Is it IPOB that burnt these heavy duty road construction equipments in Orlu last month? IPOB would NEVER do that because it profits nothing to IPOB cause.
All the insecurity in Orlu, Orsu, Njaba and Orueast since Uzodinma became governor are perpetrated by one clan in Imo state. Apart from the clan being angry with Uzodinma from Orlu zone taking power from its Emeka Ihedioha, the clan is notorious for not accepting government institutions and modern development in Imo state beyond the zone of the state capital.

Politics / Re: Police Repel Attack By Suspected Ipob Militants In Imo State. by Amah70: 10:34am On Sep 16
It is clan politics. Which IPOB?
Since Uzodinma became governor, it has been war in and around Orlu. They grumble Orlu colonised Imo government House.

Last month, they burnt heavy duty road construction equipments in Orlu; as Imo gov for the first time in five years set out urban renewal works for Orlu.
Don't call them IPOB. If IPOB have anything against Imo state, they will face Owerri, the capital of Imo state, not face Orlu and surrounding areas since 5 years non stop.

So long as proceeds from crude oil and gas comes to Aso Rock to form what looks like government of Nigeria, to project sovereignty in Nigeria before Oyibo people, Nigeria 🇳🇬 is not going to crash.

All expired men who lost contact with the armed forces too many decades ago.
These men led by Muhammadu Buhari ruined Nigeria.
Tinubu inherited their ruins and added fuel to it to burn completely.

Anyway, there was global peace when Donald Trump was POTUS. So Obi is likely to bring peace to Nigeria when he becomes president of Nigeria.

Many are natives of Owerri.
Hopefully, Imo Police will also resolve the case of burning heavy-duty road construction equipments at Nkwoito junction in Orlu recently.

IMSG set forth recently to reconstruct the principal road which is the economic lifeline to Orlu, hoodlums went and set fire on three heavy-duty road construction equipments.
Who did that? What was the intention?
No road construction equipments in Owerri had ever been set on fire in the last five years.

Imo the wonderful state mired in clanish sentiments.
The same clannish sentiments that made Orlu an unlovable place immediately after another gov from Orlu zone took over Imo state.

Oga, stop writing out of point. Nobody can make a governor site a project where he doesn't want to site. Dem never born that man. They can only appeal. It's not Owerri people's fault that Imo governors are obsessed with Owerri and sitting all their projects in the city. Even before Ihedioha became governor, I read an article about him talking about how he would develop and expand Owerri.

You sound like a wife who is too weak to confront his husband for violating their marital vow and keeping a side chick. Instead of calling his husband to order, she's fighting his side chick.

Mind you, before 1999, all the
government institutions and parastatals for Imo state had literally been forced to be located in Owerri zone by Owerri people through the present Olu-Owerri association. FUTO, AICE, POLYNEKEDE, FEDERAL COLLEGE OF LANDS; all federal housing estates to Imo state, were already in Owerri before 1999. Even federal institutions located outside Owerri were uprooted and relocated to Owerri zone before 1999 - all in the name of Owerri is state capital. Olu-Owerri still forced then gov Evan Enwerem from Owerri zone to locate IMSU in Owerri.
Before this time, no governor had emerged from Orlu zone.

The recent efforts to locate a Federal University Teaching hospital ontop of FMC in Owerri, as if land or ready premises do not exist in any other part of Imo state outside Owerri, is most baffling.

I don't see your side chick example holding water here. Because if we don't use every means available to let Owerri people begin to accept that Orlu and Okigwe zones are parts of Imo state, we shall soon see a second layer of Owerri city start with the federal allocations of Imo state and its 27 LGAs, while Orlu and other urban centres in Imo state retrogress.

In the video below, Social crusader, Aisha Yesufu, has said that the viral video where Igbos were threatening to poison Yorubas and Binis, was orchestrated because of the forthcoming Governorship elections in Edo State.

She said that Labour Party is strong in Edo State and that politicians have been trying to misrepresent the Labour party as an Igbo party, and the Obidient movement as an Igbo affair

She told her viewers that she is from Afemai in Edo State but can easily pass as an Hausa woman, having been born and raised in Kano, and can speak perfect Hausa

She was adamant that the intentions of those behind the video was to turn Edo's against Igbos, so that the Labour Party would be called an Igbo party, and lose

She warned her fellow Edo's not to be fooled by the video, and that no problem exists between Edo's and Igbos except the one bad politicians want to create

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rs_8_budgZw

From a brilliant mind.

In 2015, Boko Haram exploits were used to blackmail Nigerians to vote out Jonathan for perceived inability to secure Nigerians.

APC cannot win elections without orchestrating divisions and blackmail.

Again, this is just a nonsense talking point. I don't know what you mean by "Owerri zone fought". Fought how? It's not that easy (and a waste of resources) to relocate an entire university. Nothing stopped all these Orlu zone governors from building universities in Orlu, since many Orlu village men with no imagination think that only universities bring urban development - even though Onitsha does not have one single university or tertiary institution of any kind (technical colleges, nursing colleges, teaching institutes etc) and is still by far the most populated and urbanized area of Anambra.

You people's Owerri envy no go kill you sha. I've said it many times in this thread that I have heard many groups of people crying marginalization in Nigeria (usually because they are forgotten, abandoned minorities in their state) but Orlu people are the first and only existing people in Nigeria that I've heard crying marginalization despite ruling the state for over 20 out of the last 25 years in Imo state (the Owerri zone ruling for less than ONE year), and having big majorities in the Imo House of Assembly. Una no get shame at all, sha and you don't know how silly you sound to the rest of us.

Pretend you don't know that it's the government institutions and parastatals littered all over Owerri that attract population and rapid urban expansion to Owerri. Why then do Owerri people fight against any gov who talked about IMSU relocation? Nigeria relocated its capital city. What is there in relocating a university like IMSU which has no modern university infrastructures in Owerri? Owerri struggle for Federal university teaching hospital which it wants to locate ontop of the roof of FMC Owerri. Why? Is Owerri the only place in Imo state?
You derive joy in calling Orlu a village, not withstanding the fact that when Imo state was created, there were little to no differences in the levels of urban deevelopment between Owerri and Orlu.

Like Ikwerre culture, six to ten families sharing one compound, each family with a hut they call house - same housing pattern for Owerri village people.

Once Imo state was created, Owerri village mentality made them start to force all government institutions to Imo state to Owerri. Because they cannot build any industry to develop Owerri.
No state in Nigeria is like Imo where state capital hosts all the 5 federal tertiary education institutions, hosts all federal housing estates to the state; Owerri even hosts Imo state university; wars against every gov who talked about IMSU for relocation to Orlu or Okigwe area. The monies from the about 300,000 students and staff in these institutions in Owerri, as well as all govt subventions to the institutions end up in Owerri.
Owerri city expands rapidly. Every governor has no choice but expand urban infrastructures to the rapidly expanding Owerri.

Oh yes.
But tribal bigotry robbed Obi the presidential election he won in 2023.

Tribal bigotry led to some people of the southwest region threatening to eject Igbos from the SW. When they start to eject Igbos surely Igbos will fight back and that will lead to bloodshed.

Nigeria’s Hunger Crisis: A Call to Action for Tinubu’s Clueless Administration

Nigeria, the giant of Africa, stands tall with a wealth of resources and a vibrant population. Yet, paradoxically, it harbors the highest number of hungry people on the continent. This troubling reality is not just a statistic; it’s a harsh indictment of leadership failure and misplaced priorities.

How did we get here? How did a nation blessed with fertile lands, abundant natural resources, and resilient people become the poster child for hunger? The answer lies in a toxic cocktail of poor governance, corruption, and a chronic disconnect between the rulers and the ruled.

A Broken System

Under the administration of President Bola Tinubu, we have witnessed policies that seem designed to serve the elites while the common Nigerian is left to fend for themselves. The promise of “renewed hope” has turned into a mirage for the average citizen. The government’s focus has been on superficial reforms that fail to address the root causes of poverty and hunger. It’s like trying to cure malaria with paracetamol - the symptoms may be masked temporarily, but the disease rages on.

Misplaced Priorities

While politicians dine on lavish banquets, millions of Nigerians struggle to find their next meal. The agricultural sector, once the backbone of our economy, has been neglected. Farmers are left without support, facing threats from insecurity, climate change, and lack of infrastructure. Instead of investing in sustainable agriculture, the government squanders resources on vanity projects and bailouts for failing businesses owned by their cronies.

The Impact of Corruption

Corruption is the cancer eating away at the soul of our nation. Funds meant for development are siphoned off by greedy officials, leaving crumbs for the masses. It’s no surprise that Nigeria’s hunger crisis has worsened when the little resources we have are embezzled. The Tinubu administration must understand that you can’t plant corn and harvest yam. If the seeds of corruption are sown, the fruits of poverty and hunger are inevitable.

A Call for Accountability

President Tinubu, it’s time to wake up and smell the coffee. The ordinary Nigerian is not asking for the moon; we just want a fair shot at a decent life. Your administration must shift its focus from serving the privileged few to uplifting the majority. Invest in agriculture, create jobs, and provide a safety net for the vulnerable. If you fail to address these issues, history will remember you not as a leader, but as a puppet of the elites.

Nigerians, let’s hold our leaders accountable. We deserve better than empty promises and clueless governance. We must demand policies that prioritize our well-being over the interests of the rich and powerful. It’s time to put an end to the era of suffering in the land of plenty. Let’s ensure that no Nigerian goes to bed hungry again.

In the words of our elders, “A hungry man is an angry man.” The Tinubu administration must heed this wisdom and act decisively. The time for empty rhetoric is over; the time for action is now. Nigeria’s future depends on it.

Win apex political leadership of Nigeria.
Get payments from crude oil export. Form what looks like government to keep Nigeria's sovereignty before the eyes of people of Western countries. That's it for politicians in Nigeria.
Proceeds from crude oil in one area of Nigeria have blinded most of the population of Nigeria. You can preach from Monday till Sunday, nothing changes for good in Nigeria.
Politics / Re: Top 10 African Countries With Highest Number Of Hungry People - Business Insider by Amah70: 1:06pm On Jul 18
Nigeria comes first because ethno-religious bigots place Islam and ethnicity first before they choose who will preside over Nigeria. Mass hunger is the outcome. Unfortunately, the obsolete mindset of the ethno-religious bigots of Nigeria affects all in Nigeria.
