My car was impounded by some touts in a strange uniform at NOWAS junction Trans Ekulu on Monday 13th April.I had just been flagged on by the Traffic Police officer at the junction when these uniformed touts jumped into my Peugeot 406 insisting that their own Traffic Officer standing to my far left gave a contrary command.My vehicle is still at their Local government office at Nkwo-Nike where they issued me a ticket insisting i pay a fine of N10,000 after collecting N2,000 as gate pass. I have served them a pre-action notice and i intend to file at the state high court by Monday 18th May seeking a number of reliefs and declarations.
If there are people with similar experiences,please lets hook up.We need to end this reign of terror in Enugu.ucheamaizu@yahoo.com

Maybe this is for other parts,Enugu i am sure will never change.A drive through the areas controlled by the men of Uwani Police station and Ikirike Police Station would shock a new comer.Some of us are already used it.It only hurts that my kids are beginning to appreciate the transactions they observe between these officers and bus or keke drivers. Like i have asked in some other forums,how does this solve the problem?.In Labour agitations,constructive engagements are usually more fruitful than litigations.The health minister has always insisted that no doctor was sacked but that the residency programme was temporarily suspended pending a review.Once you suspend the Residency programme,the issue of employment for the residents is blown to high heaven.Pls see Sanusi vs FGN (2014) where the technicality of "suspension pending investigation" was used to sack Sanusi from the CBN.
While i have great sympathy for the ARD cause,i fear that NMA has once again shot itself in the foot.It may be better in this instance to jaw-jaw instead of to war-war.

Nice contribution, but i'm not interested in or comparing my country with those wicked western countries who have always been the primary source of global unrest nor Ghana which isn't as rich as us.
I am working in lieu of what's stated in the CONSTITUTION OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA, under the FUNDAMENTAL OBJECTIVES and precisely, the EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES which states that EDUCATION MUST BE FREE AND COMPULSORY at all levels, from basic primary, to University, to Adult literacy.
Mind you, i will like to disagree with you that the government cannot do everything because the Nigerian government hasn't done anything remarkable to its citizens.

The Fundamental Objectives are not enforceable.They are simply directive principles.The makers of our constitution took care to shield their thieving colleagues.

Pls post pics of the Lion when it eventually arrives. I use a PAN Assembly Peugeot 406,1.8,8V,Assembled in 2006(the rest of the world stopped 406 production in 04).The 8V Engine is common but the 16V is a rarity.It would be great to see how the 1.8L 16V Engine looks like in view of Ikenna's comment somewhere as regards its similarity to the 2.0L Engine.
