Mamaiyanu:
Hello dear NLanders, please can anyone help?

Been trying to get a hospital quote for HNMC for the last two weeks to no avail. I called Dr Xydas office and they sent me some attachments that look like they were scanned by a child! I can see the info I need but I need something that looks decent and I can present at embassy/poe.

I called Dr Morgan's office and they asked me to call the hospital for the quote. I have called about 5 times during US working hours and when they transfer me to the financial counsellor, it's her voicemail I always get.

I got her email shelly.braham@coniferhealth.com but all the mails I have sent just bounce back.

I would appreciate if anyone here has a decent quote and can send to me, or has an alternate way I can reach the hospital to get the quote myself.
Its 2k vaginal 650 epidural, 3500 cs. Hope this helps
Thanks

Hey,
The next day after you give birth the hospital birth registrar would visit you with details needed for the BC. After you leave the hospital you should get it latest 2 weeks from your local county office.
BOmum:
Please mothers in the house that used HNWMC how did you go about getting the birth certificate and how long did it take. A quick response will be highly appreciated

Miarose:
Well, I just came back yesterday from California with my baby, normal delivery.
The city I stayed in is riverside. The cost breakdown is below;
Doctor fee is 2000$. Fee is same for either normal delivery or cs.
Hospital fee is 1650$ for a day stay for normal delivery. Cs is 4400 for 3 day stay. Extra $500 comes in for extra baby ( twins).
Epidural is 550.
Induction is 300.
Hospital is parkview community hospital riverside. The other hospital riverside community hospital has the same rate too for cash payment.
I spent a total of 3950$ for giving birth there.
The ped I used cost me only 100$. Visit to the hospital to discharge baby is free. The 100$ comes when you visit his office on baby first appointment.
Hepatitis b vaccine is 35$ with him.

Riverside county is about 1 hr from LA. You will have to make more enquiries on the cost of accommodation and transportation. I stayed with a relative so didn't spend on those two.

@mirose thanks for sharing this info . Pls am interested in using same doc and hospital can you assist with contact info for doc and Led doc I pmed you pls reply. Pls how was your experience with hospital and doc? Many thanks for your reply

Fyorgyn:
Nah... it wasn't that cold. Some days were cold (not "winter" cold- a warm sweater should suffice), and some days were quite sunny.

Yes! It's now one day for VD. I did give birth 17hours later... however, it was still within the same day. In addition, the baby is usually "monitored" for 24hours... so I did not need to pay extra. I gave birth at about 6pm and was discharged the next day.

@Fyorgyn. Please do you have contact details for Dr M and accomodation info pls i Pmed you reply pls. Trying to get info on Cali birthing.
Please how was expwrience in the hospital and with the doc? Yes, I got a free stroller.

[quote author=Rett0 post=55808891]Yes mamajaz.
The only issue is the persons involved.

Will hygiene be their priority?
Will they child proof their house to ensure safety of the kids?
Will they ensure the kids eat their food?
Will they ensure the kids are clean?
Are they going to be zealous about caring for other children?

These are the issues to be considered....
I won't joke with my kids or anyone's kids but will others do same? I will like to be assured at work that my kids are safe.
[/quote@ RettoO.
I can understand your concern and it's truly a valid one. I have a barely one year old kid and leaving her with anyone is so so difficult y the issue is truth and security and I am a clean clean type.
I guess if ppl can be committed and show true commitment to key issues like the ones above then I guess you would feel better.
Another way to feel safe and not feel guilty is maybe to have cameras with your kids or in the houses that there wouid be in so you can check up on them. Thanks to technology.
Leaving abroad is so different and one just has to be more open minded. I truly think this e-family women are more responsible and decent group
Another suggestion is to set down rules collectively to focuses on the key issues your highlighted.
Hope this helps.

Hello E family,
Please for those in Oz I need your honest opinion.
Which is better in Oz now and long term Nursing or social work in terms of availability of jobs and benefits.
Pls share your experiences if you can. I was in an argument about this and would like to know your opinion. Thank You.

Rett0:
I think about same thing.

I was thinking if persons live close to me, we could take turns to care for the kids..

When I'm off, I'll takes care of all the kids while others work and vice versa.
@Rett0, Unchenna 2017, MamaJaz.
That's a good idea if people are living together. Heard in Oz communities live together and help each other. Really there is no point working and paying so much on childcare with this arrangement. Are you guys Nsw or Melbourne bound?

@ Oga Bellong,
Thank you so much Sir for your response it's clear now.
I was wondering if you know any thing about trade professions and if they are colleges or technical schools for them. A friend of mine is interested in becoming a handy man I.e say a eletrican . Does he need a degree and are the courses paid for or free?
Sir, pls for clarifications can one acces medicare on arrival say for delivery and would the child be a citizen or Pr or there is a 2 year wait period?
Thanks sir.
Quote author=bellong post=52045415]@Amanda0,

PR holders can access family tax benefits and child care benefits on arrival while the remaining centrelink assistance have a 104 week (2years) waiting period starting from the day of arrival.

Child care benefits is a discounted child care fee. The government pays percentage of your fee depending on your family income. Family with low income can get as much as 90% discount.

To be eligible for Child care benefits, your child/men's immunisation must be up to date. People with children should come with their children's immunization record and take it to the nearest hospital or clinic to you when you arrive. The doctor there will be able to put it on the system and also advise you if you need additional immunisation. It is free for children.

Undergraduate studies are not free but you will be charged at domestic student rate. Some courses are Commonwealth supported which means the government pays percentage of the tuition while you pay the balance.

HECS fee help which is the students' loan is only available to citizens and those on permanent humanitarian visa (refugees).

Masters by research and PhD are tuition free for PR holders.
