HealthRe: Pharmacy Graduate Dismissed For Refusing To Sell Diazepam by Amayabor1: 11:02pm On May 27, 2025
FreeStuffsNG:
Pride goeth before a fall. You always run down people you don't understand because they are more privileged than you. Smh.

That you only work in work stations that don't have Licensed Pharmacists alone shows that you are mediocre and work in mediocre settings.

That you think you can turn a Pharmacy Technician into a Pharmacist proves that you are ignorant and you probably enjoy quackery. And that you think sales is demeaning screams your ignorance. You must know how to sell in life.

if it comes to drugs, the Pharmacist is the drug expert and the presence of Pharmacists in the last mile chain in particular for controlled substances is why many of you have not become crackhead or murdered with unwholesome drugs. Especially oversabi like you who think they know it all but know nada. You must think drugs are tatashe and rodo peppers so you and everyone can sell drugs. Smh.

I can't educate you here. If you want to learn about the critical roles Pharmacists play and how we as a nation don't even have enough let alone replace them, please go to Pharmacy school to learn why wink
Are you a Pharmacist? If yes, then you should be terribly ashamed of yourself. What is drugs? Well, let me leave that.

I think you are a newbie who just graduated from pharmacy. 😅

In Nigeria, Pharmacists are majorly "sales boy/girl" in pharmacy shops or sales rep for drug companies. That is the reality. Their work can easily be done by any other person in the health sector. Stop making noise. You can't educate me. I should be the one educating you. I only showed you the reality in today's Nigeria. 99% of private hospitals would rather employ a pharmacy technician, a nurse or a lay person that will be trained to do the work of a pharmacist than for them to employ a licensed Pharmacist. That is the reality on ground. Even in companies that manufacture or distribute medications, Pharmacists acts as sales reps. They go from one hospital to another to talk to doctors about their companies medications. Nothing special in what a Pharmacist does in Nigeria. Counting the doses of drugs to give a patient according to doctor's prescription can be done by a nurse, pharmacy technician or a lay person who has been trained. Instructing patients on how the drugs should be taken can be done by the doctor, nurse, pharmacy technician . Most times sef, the medications will be come with Instructions on how it should be taken, possible side effects etc. Nothing special with the work of a Pharmacists in Nigeria.

And lastly, there are government agencies (like Nafdac) that are charged with making sure there are no substandard medications in Nigeria. Why Pharmacists can be employees of Nafdac, they are not the only employees in Nafdac. Trying to say Pharmacists are the ones that make sure there are no substandard medications in Nigeria shows you are really a clown. 😅.

In Nigeria, Pharmacists are not charged with ensuring that there are no substandard medications in the country. That's the job of Nafdac.

In Nigeria, Pharmacists are not charged with the control of hard drugs in circulation. That's the job of NDLEA. Keep deceiving yourself. 😅

Oga, this has nothing to do with GDP or PPP. They just counted the number of millionaires and billionaires in each city. Simple.

You can do the same thing in Africa. Count the number of millionaires and billionairea in African cities and you will have the top 10 wealthiest cities in Africa. It has nothing to do with GDP or PPP

Pharmacy graduate is not yet a fully Licensed Pharmacist but trainee Pharmacist. By law, she's yet to be a full employee and meant to act under Supervision of a Licensed Pharmacist.

Even as a rookie, she knows what to do for this kind of thing. Putting this on social media, if true, is not the way to go. She is meant to log it in and report the incident to the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).

She was probably fired for something else but using this to get back at the organization since she's aware of their unethical practices.

Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria ( PSN) is the first and oldest professional body in Nigeria. They guide their reputation seriously.
Pharmacy training and practice in Nigeria is highly rigorous and Top notch. Nigerian Pharmacists occupy a prime role of ensuring that the Nigerian health sector didn't and will not collapse. That's why you can hardly ever find substandard made in Nigeria Pharmaceutical products.

As drug experts, they will rather close down their professional practice than push substandard medicines to the public. That's how intense their training guide the way they look at their obligation to their patients and public. If this report is true, PCN will not spare the pharmacy practice License holder.

Smh. It's obvious that you don't comprehend the issue. Never mind., it's beyond you. If she has her facts and can stand scrutiny, she should take it to PCN. It's ignorant contributions from laymen like you that she should have considered to avoid before making it a social media affair. This her matter will be better handled by PCN
Lol. So Nigerian Pharmacists are the ones that have made Nigerian health sector not to collapse? You guys are the ones that makes it hard to find substandard made in Nigeria Pharmaceutical products in Nigeria? You are a Joker. How does your role as "sales persons" in a pharmacy shop help to prevent the collapse of the Nigeria health sector? Talking about rigorous training. Lol. Which health professionals in Nigerian universities don't undergo rigorous trainings? Empty drums make the loudest noise.

For your information, pharmacy practice in Nigeria is "sales boy/girl" job. You guys are the professionals in the health sector that are easily replaceable. How many private hospitals employ Pharmacists? Your job can easily be done by anyone. Most private hospitals I have worked in don't have Pharmacists. They employ pharmacy technicians or a lay person and train them on the job. See this one. 😅

No. UK generally has more confidence to limit immigration when the USA is doing something similar.
Stop lying. The UK's immigration policies has never been tied to US immigration actions. The US generally have no issues with immigration. They have issues with illegal immigration at their southern border with Mexico. You will never hear the US say they want to reduce the number of immigrants coming into the US for studies (like UK and Canada). If you are legit, you can enter the US. The US has never had an issue with legal immigration. But for Canada and the UK, they have reduced legal immigration into their countries and the UK is taking it a step further by making you spend 10 years in the UK before you get an ILR. Saying the UK has more confidence to limit immigration when the US does something similar shows you don't know what you are talking about as the US doesn't limit immigration. They are trying to limit illegal crossing at their southern border unlike the UK that just don't want anyone to come to the UK, whether legal or illegal.

Also saying Canada is always trying to copy the UK shows you have no knowledge of the issue at hand. All these countries are trying to deal with their own immigration headaches, and you think one country is copying another. Lol.
Foreign AffairsRe: Canada Tightens Foreign Workers Rules As Nigerians, Others Risk Deportation by Amayabor1: 1:57am On May 25, 2025
The truth is that Canada has announced that they want to reduce the number of temporary residents in their country. So, they have reduced admission of international students and have reduced intake of temporary workers. They deports temporary residents whose visas have expired (like students who have finished school and their Post graduate work permit have expired)

The best way to immigrate to Canada is to go as a permanent resident (PR). Once you are a PR in Canada, nothing concern you concern deportation or your visa expiring. And in 3 years, you can apply for Canadian citizenship.

Wow
That's interesting. Then why do some of our Nigerians go there of temporary permit work visa. Is it that they were ignorant or just the lure of Japa(ing) that blinded their eyes
Not everyone can meet up the requirements for Canada PR. Those that can't get PR will try other routes to canada like student visa or temporary work visa.

It's ironic how we perceive these oppressors as helping us when they open their borders with enticing visa schemes. They cleverly use us to develop their countries, and once they've achieved their goals, they tighten the restrictions on us with stricter visa requirements. They take the best of our talent to maintain their status as developed nations while draining the resources from so-called developing countries, ensuring they stay underdeveloped. I've been around for over 50 years, and I've never seen a developing country successfully transition to a developed country. It's quite disheartening! See what is happening in the US, UK, Canada, etc
Then the developing countries should retain their best brains by offering them better incentives. Nigerian politicians are the only ones enjoying the resources of the country. A situation where the national assembly will budget billions of naira to renovate the national assembly complex while our best brains in health, engineering, IT etc are being paid peanuts is not sustainable (that's if they even get employed). They will go to countries that value their skills.

Always trying to copy UK until they suddenly realise that their country is much different.
Is US and other western countries that are trying to limit immigration also copying the UK?

If you want a sure and secured path to immigration to Canada, go as a PR. All these temporary visa and stuff too get wahala. Canada wants to reduce temporary residents in their country (students, workers on temporary/work visa etc) and it is understandable.

cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

You guys will be comparing yourself to developed nations, yet when people tell you what them developed nations did to be developed, you will start complaining and deflecting.

Even the boreholes we dig, the truth is, we could pipe water to every house in Nigeria, but the maintenance cost...paid in form of monthly water bills...you guys will start screaming poverty. Boreholes are far cheaper to build and maintain..lol.

As for why we don't have robot army...at independence, instead of focusing on building an industrial economy, we tried to build a society based on revenue from cash crops, minerals, and oil...whose prices we do not control...meaning that revenue has always been unstable, and we are chronically broke and taking loans, and fighting over who is best leader based on tribe (all our leaders are bad).

And we always blame corruption (partly true, but not the whole story) or the WHITES or IMF for our underdevelopment.

When you guys are ready to vote in leaders who will use our resources to build stuff...that we can export for cash, that is when we go see development.

(Don;t compare us to Saudi and UAE. The day the oil runs out in those countries, we go know what's up)
I disagree with you. Our problem in Nigeria is not the lack of what to export to get cash. We have a "resources management" problem in Nigeria.

If you like, export heaven and earth from Nigeria and make trillions of dollars, if we do not address the corruption and waste that goes on in Nigeria, the country will go no where.

Since 1999, compare the amount of money that Nigeria has generated as revenue and compare it to the state of the country, then you will realize that Nigeria's problem is not because of lack of money. It is a fantastically corrupt country. Infact, a former UK prime once said that if the amount of Money that has been stolen from Nigeria were to be stolen from the UK, the UK will cease to exist as a country.

So, let Nigeria generate billions and trillions of dollars as revenue, the country wouldn't go anywhere, until strong institutions are in place to ensure judicious use of resources.

And you wonder why they are Racist towards you.

Because they see you as Cowards who run away from your country into their country to reap the benefits of their ancestors sweat and blood.

Ordinary herdsmen you all are running away to Europe. Cowards

No it is not racist

It is about looking out for your race

Wanting the best for them and caring for them.

Can you say Nigerian leaders genuinely and deeply care for the masses?

If they do, there will never be anything like or close to boko boko in Nigeria.

So until you are able answer that question keep quiet.

This is not comparison with advanced countries,
This is common sense, doing the right thing

Unless you want to tell me that the Nigerian sovereign way of life or brand of democracy is to oppress it's people make them miserable, so therefore no external influence should interfere.
Some of you are too stupid on Nairaland and you are one of them. It baffles me how some of you reason.

Trump telling citizens of another country (because they are white) to come to America is a racist move. How many Nigerian leaders have told citizens of other countries to come to Nigeria as refugees?

If Trump does something good for Americans, you can compare it to how our leaders in Nigeria doesn't do good things for Nigerians. That will be a good comparison.

But trying to justify the actions of Trump by comparing it with how Nigerian leaders treat Nigerians is a mis-match comparison. A proper comparison would be when Buhari was president and he was favoring his Fulani tribe. This is what Trump has been doing. He favours whites in the US and now, he is asking whites in south Africa to come to the US. Would he have done this if blacks were the ones whose lands were taken in south africa?

Just as Buhari was a tribal bigot when he was president, Trump is a white racist.
CareerRe: Resident Doctors Oppose NUC As They Upgrade Pharmacy, Physiotherapy To 'Doctor' by Amayabor1: 4:27pm On May 11, 2025

If we fight for the same pay as Doctors, that is because we get a 6 years training as well.

Fight for a higher pay for Doctors should be your concern.

Pharmacists are drug scientists but are now being brought closer to patients.

The NUC directive has already been implemented. Im sure NUC had broad consultation even with the Ministry of Health before implementing it. Nothing can be done anymore. Your lamentations are quite unfortunate and very late.

In USA, Pharmacists are approved by American government to use Dr. prefix.
Your fight for the same pay as doctors is because you spend 6 years in the university to study pharmacy? Is that a valid reason to have the same pay as doctors? Salary should be based on your job description and not how long you spent in school. If we should follow the job description of pharmacists, they do not deserve the same pay as doctors. Let's be realistic. Even in the same America that you have been mentioning since morning, doctors and pharmacists don't earn the same salary. Doctors salaries are higher than pharmacists in all western countries, including the US.

Not down playing the kidnapping and herdsmen carnage in Nigeria , people are living their normal life. Like me, I even stay in the northern part of Nigeria and I am living well and fine.

How can I be living in a mansion and have very good source of income in Nigeria, then I leave to go and stay in a one room studio apart in the UK where I will work like a slave for the rest of my life.
Are you living in the mansion in Nigeria? How much do you make a month in Nigeria? How good is your source of income?

And who told you every Nigerian living abroad is living in a one room studio apartment and working like a slave?

The way you Nigerians back home talk as if every Nigerian abroad is washing the bum bum of a white man is so stupid.

An adult left Nigeria and decided to travel abroad for many reasons (like better life, better security, professional and career growth, dual citizenship etc.). But Nigerians back home will be castigating them as if na una give them the money to jakpa.

Stay in Nigeria if you want to stay and allow those that want to jakpa to jakpa in peace.
RomanceRe: Should I Marry Her Now Or Let Her Go? I’m Not Ready Financially by Amayabor1: 8:13pm On May 02, 2025
My advise to you as someone who also lives in canada is this; if it is possible, find a good Nigerian lady to marry in Canada. That lady in Nigeria you think loves you so much, if you go marry her and sponsor her to come meet you in Canada, she can change o. Ask some Nigerian men that have gone back to Nigeria to marry and brought their wives to Canada. Some of these women don't have conscience when they start dealing with these men here o.

For the lady, I would advise her to move on. Telling her to wait for you for 2 years doesn't make sense. Within that 2 years, you can fall in love in Canada, marry in Canada while someone in Nigeria is waiting for you to come back to marry her.

Also, as a student in Canada yet to be a PR, going back to Nigeria to marry, then coming back to Canada, then applying to sponsor her to join you will really tell on your finances. Na from booking flight to and from Nigeria na you go first feel am. It would have been easier if you were a PR. But as a student? E nor go easy o. And God forbid She later switch on you after coming to Canada, you nor go forgive yourself.
