Tvegas: Ladies , you should all take a chill pill, i don't see a big deal when someone compares her experience between 2 hospitals. If truly el paso agents come here to hype their service then kudos to El paso for getting their marketing strategies right , this shouldn't get the MIHS clan angry.

I will rather love to see the MIHS clan telling us why we should use them instead of el paso. It's a faceless forum and it's wrong to blackmail people for sharing their mind, even going to the extent of calling them agents. I rest my case .
Well said!

Like some others have said lets stay focused.
I would honestly like to get some clarifications;
1) is Dr Fagbohun for MIHS?
2) comparing the cost of giving birth, feeding and accomodation @ MIHS to el paso, can someone with the experience @ MIHS pls let me know how much covered it? Guys @ elpaso have give insight and confirmed figures for their experience.
i was considering elpaso thanks to this forum, until i came across the MIHS recently - on this forum too....

3) does any1 have a Virginia experience? i got info on a carilion Hospital in Virginia and the figures given for birthing were: CS- 1,600 and Vag:1,350. minus doctors and tech/professional fees.

The bill did not say what these will be but just what the procedure will cost as stated above. Will appreciate any experience in this regard.

I would also like to add that i believe the reason why this thread has been all about elpaso/MIHS is cos these hospitals have been proven to provide what we all in this forum want at a very convenient price..... Lets not hurt other pples feelings. Just as we are gaining a lot lets not make the hands that help seize to be a part of this...

Pls ooo hlp with my inquiry and lets stay true to ourselves...Cheers!

Mollydee88: @all; I'm a little confused here.
I have booked my appointment via https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/; which included me as the primary applicant and my wife.

Having supplied all details correctly; in the scheduled print out i have; an error message states thus

''PLEASE NOTE THAT ONE OR MORE OF THE DS-160 NUMBERS USED TO SCHEDULE THIS APPOINTMENT CAN NOT BE VALIDATED. INCORRECT DS-160 NUMBERS MAY LEAD TO A DELAY IN BEING PROCESSED''

Please advise on what to do?
U may v entered the wrong numbers. Go back, confirm ur entries again. Or see if there's a way you can compare it with the number u received when u first registered.

mamacajah: @IyawoToBe, You need fill only one appointment form with both your names and application numbers. thats what we did for ours in May this year.
@amazingmum, use this link www.mihs.org. you might need to read up past pages to get more info. quite al ot has been said on mihs and its still available btw the 24 to 40 page.
Oh ok. Thanks a lot!

IyawoToBe: Wow! No one seem to be moved by the repeated quoting of myself just to get help on scheduling our appointment. cry cry

Pls we need your guidance in scheduling our appointment o. Myself and hubby have filled seperate appointment forms. He added me on his own page. But we don't know if I also need to add him on my own form too. We just need directions on how to schedule our appointment in order to appear together as a couple. Pls help! We are stuck.
Hi, iyawotobe. You only need to book a single appointment. In the link thru which you will book the appointment, there's a provision for including any additional persons you will be going with. So uld include the passport and application details of ur hubby in the appointment page because you will be going together. U will need to register on the site to schedule the appointment. https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/. @logictinz

LadyGuinivere: It basically means, have ALL your documentation including this mail handy at POE. Letter from hospital, funds at hand and any other supporting document to show you do not intend to use medicaid.
@amazingmom you have seen the reply ba?
Yes, I do have my answers now. Thanks a billion. Will let u know when I have constructed mine so u can proof it further. Thanks a lot. Congrats @mamacajah congrats....,wish u a smooth sail as u progress. I think the response is a good to go one. Do u guys know any thing about d cost, hospital and doc info and all in Rhode Island? Been trying to get info online but nothing helpful yet.
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by Amazingmum: 2:34pm On Jun 30, 2014
LadyGuinivere: Yes. She had a B1/B2 visa prior to getting pregnant. And we all know it also covers receiving health care and birthing however it is something the mommas on this thread have been doing to avoid POE wahala.
It is good you have used your visa once before. The popular opinion here is to write the consulate and inform them despite that you have used the visa before. They usually respond with same cut and paste answers but those replies have helped a lotta people avert disasters at poe.
I don't know if I answered your question completely as I didn't understand it well. Please feel free to ask if I haven't answered you.
Thanks a lot. U have actually. I have also been torn between this tot of seeking clarification with the embassy b4 making the next trip. Hmmmm looks like I have to also do the same cos I don't want issues. But what was the typical response like if u v sent them this mail b4?
Would like to know how the correspondence went. Cheers!
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by Amazingmum: 12:48pm On Jun 30, 2014
LadyGuinivere: @mamacajah noo it won't be an issue. Its just that from prior responses, Lagos they tend to be curt and abrupt in their response. If you sent the email today you can still send another to Abuja so you compare and choose the one you prefer.
Oh and it dosent matter if you got your visa from Lagos. You can still write to Abuja consulate
@mamacajah and @ ladyGuinivere, may I pls know what you guys are talking about? I tried getting the earlier merges but couldn't comprehend. Are you referring to confirming if it's ok to deliver with a visiting visa knowing that it is a b1/b2? I had a b1/b2 ans I visited once and intend to go again- to deliver this time. Pls cld u assist to clear the scenario which u advised a confirmation mail be sent to d embassy for? Much appreciated. And no one has responded to me nawwwwww... sad

fabulousmom: @BnBarbie and Mokeju,

I had my baby in El Paso, and I can boldy tell you that my baby's circumcision is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen so far. Just because of the circumsion, I will choose to have my next boy child there, as it seems most people have complaint about circumcision done by other hospitals in the US.

As for the mode of operation, I have been able to deduce that people have little knowledge about how it is done in El Paso. So I'll be pleased to break it down. Doctoresparati is a service-providing group or team that helps to link patients with obstetricians/gynecologists at a very specific and affordable price and at any stage of the pregnancy, no matter how advanced, as well as help arrange a medical center to give birth to your child in, at an unbelievably low price.

It is no news that most hospitals in the US charge bank-breaking hospital bills and ob/gyn fees, not to mention the fact that you cannot estimate how much your bill will be until after you give birth. It is also an open secret that most ob/gyns will not accept medical responsibility of patients who have advanced past 24weeks in pregnancy. Doctoresparati makes everything easy. They offer the whole package at a minimal fee. (Now I'm beginning to sound like a marketer of doctoresparati. Lol)

After contacting doctoresparati, you will be expected to pay a registration fee of $150 to confirm your intentions of using their services, as well as to book an appointment with an ob/gyn for you. During your stay in El Paso, you will be attending pre-natal clinics at Eastside Women Heathcare Center, where you will be cared for by one of US' best ob/gyns. This hospital is well known to specialize in tourist birth (international patients). The ob/gyn assigned to your care will tell you when you will likely have your baby, as well as tips on how not to incur extra hospital bills. The ob/gyn fee is $2,500 for year 2013.

You will be expected to run some lab tests as stipulated by US law before you have your child. The tests are listed on doctoresparati website. You are however allowed to bring in your test results from nigeria, if you have already done those tests in nigeria (but in my opinion, I think it's cheaper to have it in their lab- it cost me only $222.75 for my tests).

You will be having your baby in a much more bigger hospital, Del Sol Medical Center. Everything from your daily room charge, to the care charge, to the labor and delivery, to the drugs (medication) that will be dispensed throughout your period of admission, to the food you'll eat throughout, to the nursery care of your child, to the test and first immunization your baby will receive at birth, to the lab tests that will be done on you in the hospital, has been included in the hospital bill of $2,700 stated on doctoresparati website for year 2013.

I realized that doctoresparati did me a whole lot of good with the hospital bill at that $2,700, because after I was discharged, I called the hospital to send to me a detailed receipt of payment showing a zero balance (it was just too good to be true, so I wanted to be on the safe side). When I got my receipt/bill, I realized that if I had walked into Del Sol Medical Center without using the services of doctoresparati, I'd have been paying a hospital bill of $10,701.05, instead of the $2,700 deal doctoresparati offered.

The bill went like this:

DEPARTMENTAL CHARGE SUMMARY
DESCRIPTION. AMOUNT($)

Ob/gyn. 1,697.00
Labor & delivery. 5,846.00
Pharmacy. 508.05
Lab-main. 2,650.00

TOTAL CHARGES: 10,701.05
TOTAL PAYMENTS: 2,700.00
TOTAL ADJUST: .00

BALANCE: 0.00

If you are having a boy child, be sure to include your circumcision fee of $170. The pediatrician who will come to check your baby's welfare after the birth of your baby will also charge a fee of $210.

In summary, the prices on the doctoresparati website are reliable and genuine.

As for the processing of documents, that's another long story. I'll allow you digest this first before I bring that up. (What a long story! My thumbs are aching.lol)

I hope this helped you all clarify your thoughts about El Paso and the modus operandi.

ciao.
