PoliticsThose Shouting Odi Masscre, This Is 2016 Not 1996 by ambac2bust(op): 6:32pm On May 27, 2016
those who are saying that NA will go to the Niger delta area and kill as they did in Odi, im here to tell you that you are dreaming. do you think the militants will allow the Nigerian military come into the region and kill innocent people and go free?. They have said their members are in Nigerian army and that they will soon start bombing other places like Lagos, abuja. etc. If bihari thinks he is tough he should try and send the military to massacre innocent people, then the whole north would be destroyed and would be a desert. this is 2016 not 1999.
you can take what belongs to ND and decide to kill them, thinking you will go unhurt. that wont happen again. if you kill innocent people in ND region, then be prepared. even your emirs, sultans, northern elders, mosques, businesses, farms and cattle's would be destroyed.
It is not a must that we should be together.

PoliticsOver 3000 Pardoned Soldiers Reject Redeployment To North-east. by ambac2bust(op): 9:52am On Jan 08, 2016
The 3032 soldiers, who were pardoned last August for various offences during campaigns against the Islamic terrorist group, Boko Haram, in the North East of Nigeria, have rejected posting to the fronts.
The soldiers explained that they were never really pardoned and re-integrated into the Army, but rather, re-sentenced to the war front.
Vanguard learned this created anxiety at the Command and Staff College, Nigerian Army School of Infantry, NASI, Jaji, Kaduna state, when over 3,000 soldiers – who claimed to have been subjected to unimaginable ill treatment after their pardon – were gathered by the Commandant of NASI, Major General Kassim Aldulkareem, to inform them that they have been assigned new riffles and should be ready for deployment to the fronts on the 11 January, 2016.
No reinstatement letters
According to sources, the soldiers complained that they have not been fully re-instated into the Nigerian Army, because attempts by them to report to their units were rejected at their bases since they have no re-instatement letters.
The soldiers also said that since they have been kicked out of the barracks they have not been paid for seven months making their families who live off-barracks begging for food.
It was gathered that, they cried, “We are not going! Give us re-instatement letters! You are sentencing us back to war,” among others. According to sources, the Commandant hurriedly left when the soldiers were becoming uncontrollable.
One of the soldiers who spoke to some newsmen on grounds that his name not be mentioned said: “Look at me; I have put in about 28 years of my life serving this country. I have seen action in Liberia; I have been to Rwanda, Sudan and even served overseas and we the Nigerian troops did very well and were decorated in some occasions.
“But, our experience in fighting to save our motherland is too sad a story for the outside world to know. We are not cowards. We held on for over four months facing Boko Haram.
“I just want to say that after the Army dismissed about 5,000 of us, 3032 of us were pardoned last August. Since that time, the Army Authority has treated us like prisoners of wars.
Asked to assemble in Jaji
“We were told to assemble in Jaji on August 17, which we did. Then on August 19, the General Officer Commander, GOC, of 1st Infantry Division, Maj. Gen Adeniyi Oyebade gathered us and without prior noticed moved us to Nigerian Army training Centre, NATRAC, Kontogora. Some of us found ourselves there in bathroom slippers. We were just taken straight to the place. Then, without any additional clothes or uniform, we were subjected to what was clear punishment, not training for another three weeks.
“Still in the clothes we came, we were again relocated to 333 artillery Barracks, Njetilo, Maiduguri. We got nothing but constant insults as cowards. We were there without uniforms no arms. They just left us there and we were abused and told to assemble at every two hours through these days for another three weeks.
“In Jaji, we went through another round of punishment, not training. Yet, we were not given any letter to show that we are still serving soldiers.
“So when the Commandant came and said we were going back to the North East, without clearing our status, we felt we have been punished enough.” he said.
The Public Relations Officer, PRO, of the Nigerian Infantry Corps, Major C.K Abaide, told our correspondent on phone that he was not aware of the development.
“I shall reach you back immediately I have our side of the story”, he said, but never did at the time of sending this report.

PoliticsHow Amaechi Diverted N40 Billion Rivers State Money For Buhari’s Campaign by ambac2bust(op): 9:19am On Jan 08, 2016
The immediate past governor of Rivers State and current Minister of Transport, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi illegally acquired and diverted not less than N40 billion of Rivers State funds into the presidential campaign of the All Progressives Congress (APC) which saw the emergence of Muhammadu Buhari as President, emerging details are revealing.
Funds running into billions of naira were unaccounted for in sleazy misappropriations allegedly facilitated and presided over by the former Rivers State governor. Sources informed about the shady deals under Amaechi availed SIGNAL, details that show how Rivers State’s treasury was emptied into private concerns of the former governor as well as the APC presidential campaign.
In October 2015, a Judicial Commission of Inquiry, set up to investigate the sale of state assets in Rivers State under Amaechi demanded the immediate prosecution of Amaechi and all his cronies involved in the illegal sale of Rivers State assets. According to the panel report, Amaechi misappropriated over N97 billion in the sale of the state valued assets.
“The commission recommends that the former governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, along with his former commissioners for Finance and Power, Dr. Chamberlain Peterside and Augustine Nwokocha, respectively, should be held to account for their roles in the sales of the power generation assets of First Independent Power Limited and the disbursement of the proceeds therefrom.
“Government accepts this recommendation and directs the office of the Honorable Attorney-General and commissioner for Justice, to promptly set in motion the appropriate machinery for the recovery of the proceeds of the sale of the gas turbines from the former governor, Rotimi Amaechi, and every other persons implicated in the commission’s report,” the Commissioner of Housing in Rivers State, Emma Okah, who spoke on behalf of the State Government, said.
In August 2015, reports in the Nigerian media were awash with Amaechi’s ownership of several foreign accounts. In one of the reports, it was alleged that “the sum of over 757 million U.S. dollars was stacked by Amaechi in a foreign U.S. Bancorp/Minnesota account.”
In swift reaction, the Integrity Group, a non-governmental organization, sent a petition to President Buhari as well as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission chairman to investigate Amaechi for the over N70 billion allegedly stolen from the Rivers State government.
According to investigative reports, backed with several documents attached to the Rivers State Judicial Commission of Inquiry report, this amount is separate from the N21 billion which the PDP claims Amaechi transferred from the Power Assets proceeds account of Access bank to the accounts of three private companies with a 25 Trans-Amadi Road, Port Harcourt address. Those companies are Advante Consulting and Management Company, Result Imports Experts Company, and Capital Ltd.
The PDP in Rivers State claim that there are many more instances of fraud and theft perpetrated by the former Governor, which is why they are asking President Buhari to probe Rotimi Amaechi’s past. But instead of probing Amaechi, his role as the benefactor of President Buhari’s campaign was fatly rewarded with a government appointment as Minister of Transport under Buhari.
A source who did not want to be named disclosed to SIGNAL that the sum of N6 billion was single-handedly provided by Amaechi to support President Buhari for the APC presidential primaries alone. “The N6 billion largesse Amaechi donated to Buhari just for the primaries alone is what was partly spent settling over 8,000 APC delegates. Buhari outspent Atiku, Kwankwaso and the other aspirants. Delegates were settled in hard currency before and on the grounds of the primaries. Seven bullion vans brought Amaechi’s money into the arena of the APC presidential primaries. How do you think Buhari got the ticket? It was Amaechi’s money that did the job”, the source said.
Amaechi also allegedly funneled over N30 billion into the overall presidential campaign of the APC across the thirty-six states of Nigeria. “Amaechi was the one spending most of the money for media, for the US consultant David Axelrod and most of the private jets and vehicles used by APC during the campaign were provided by him. That’s why he became known even within his party’s circles as the ‘ATM’”, an informed source who pleaded anonymity told this newspaper.
As fresh facts continue to emerge, Amaechi is alleged to have drained Rivers state reserves from N55 billion to N1.24 billion within the time frame of a single year. Out of the amount allegedly withdrawn by Amaechi, N53.93 billion was said to be without a list of expenditure. BudgIT, a civic startup that disseminates budgets and public data, made the revelation via its Twitter handle. BudgIT stated that it obtained the information from FBN trustees, while disclosing the figures.
“Amaechi had access to over N3 trillion during his eight years as Rivers State governor, but failed to leave funds for the development of the state. His only ambition was the wastage of Rivers State money like a prodigal son on his political ambitions”, a senior Rivers State government official who did not want to be named told SIGNAL.
More sleazy revelations on how Ameachi ran Rivers State into penury have continued to filter into the public space, the recent being how he allegedly lavished the sum of N82 million on the 80th birthday dinner of Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka.
Despite the deluge of allegations, the former governor has continued to deny the reports. In one report, he denied ownership of bank accounts in the United States and Switzerland. In a statement, Mr Amaechi said the stories were concocted to ridicule his person and achievements. Efforts by SIGNAL to get Amaechi’s side of the story have proved abortive.
Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC), President Buhari’s ruling party has risen in stout defence of Amaechi insisting that officials of anti-graft agencies cannot probe Amaechi without evidence. The party said that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) would not touch leaders of the ruling party except it has solid evidence

PoliticsBuhari’s Media Chat: The Words Of A Tyrant, By Femi Fani-kayode by ambac2bust(op): 11:57pm On Jan 06, 2016
M ay the Ancient of Days grant you the wisdom, knowledge and understanding…May the Lord of the Universe give you the foresight and the insight to appreciate the fact that Nigeria cannot survive a second civil war… Mr. President I sincerely hope that you do not take offence at my admonitions and counsel. I speak only out of concern for the fortunes of your administration, your reputation and out of love for my country. God bless Nigeria.
Mr. President, you will recall that I wrote you an open letter on December 28th, 2015 which I sincerely hope that you found most gratifying, illuminating and helpful. That was two days before your presidential media chat which took place on December 30th. I hereby humbly crave your indulgence to add an addendum to that open letter. That is what this contribution represents.
I hope and pray that this second letter, which will be the last, will further enlighten you and impart a little more wise counsel to you that will result in assisting you to properly appreciate the complexities of our times.
Mr. President, it is pertinent to note that approximately two hundred and sixty five years ago one of the founding fathers of the United States of America, Mr. Benjamin Franklin, said “rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God”. I am sure that you will agree with me when I say that he was absolutely right.
Just in case you do not know who Benjamin Franklin was, permit me to point out the fact that he is a man that is reverred by the American people and much of the civilised world up until today and he is the individual whose face appears on the one hundred U.S. dollar bills that are used till date.
He was a great statesman, diplomat, politician and intellectual and, most important of all, he was a deeply courageous man who was motivated by his deepest convictions and his christian values and who was prepared to risk life and liberty and stand up to tyranny.
I guess most Nigerian leaders have much to learn from him, especially at times like this. Yet, thankfully all is not lost and at least a few of our politicians are beginning to find their voice and speak out against the evil in the land. Permit me to share one example with you.
A few days ago, Chief Olisa Metuh, the National Publicity Secretary of our great party, the PDP, exposed the fact that there was an orchestrated attempt by your government to intimidate, silence and utterly decimate and crush the opposition.

In open defiance to what can best be described as this insidious and sinister agenda, he told the world that, “President Buhari is not God and we will not worship him”. Whether he knows it or not, Metuh has not only spoken for the PDP but also for the overwhelming majority of the Nigerian people.
This brings me to another issue which is a cause for grave concern. Your stated resolve not to obey court orders and to deny Nigerians their right to bail after the courts have given it to them is not only an affront and gratuitous insult to the Judiciary but it is also a violation of the constitution.
Permit me to add the following words to his timely contribution. Woe unto those that tremble before men of power and that worship false gods. Destruction and perdition awaits those who bow before Baal, who exalt the servants of Belial, who kiss the ring of the Baphomet, who say “Buhari is God” and who crawl at the feet of the Lord of the Flies.
Mr. President the point is simple and clear: you are not God and even though we respect your office, we will never bow before you, we will never worship you, we will not relent in our efforts to oppose you and, regardless of your constant threats and wicked intentions, we have absolutely no fear of you.
This is because our fate and destiny and the future of our beloved country lies in the hands of the Living God and not in the hands of a misguided and tyrannical dictator like your good self. Injustice, persecution and tyranny last only for a season.

At the appointed time, the Lord will step in and He will deliver and vindicate the falsely accused and the righteous captive. He will also avenge the spilling of innocent blood and He will fight the cause of the martyrs.
With this in mind and regardless of the dangerous counsel of the hardliners and extremists that surround you, I urge you to please take note of the following: Sheikh Ibrahim El Zakzaky, Colonel Sambo Dasuki and Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, who are all political prisoners, must NOT die under mysterious circumstances whilst they are in your custody.
No matter what your advisers and those in your inner circle tell you if, God forbid, this were to happen, the fall-out and consequences for your reputation and your administration would be too much to bear.
This brings me to another issue which is a cause for grave concern. Your stated resolve not to obey court orders and to deny Nigerians their right to bail after the courts have given it to them is not only an affront and gratuitous insult to the Judiciary but it is also a violation of the constitution.
I say this because, unlike military dictatorships, democracy enjoys and derives its power and legitimacy from the inviolable and sacred principle of “separation of powers”.
In the same vein, you have no right to try to stop members of the opposition or the general public from criticising you or condemning your obvious failings. Mr. President criticism, opposition and dissent are the lifeblood of democracy and without accommodating and tolerating them, you cannot claim to be a democrat.

What this means is that the Executive arm of Government, which by the grace of God you head today, is distinct and separate from the Legislature and the Judiciary.
As head of the Executive and President of the Federal Republic, you have absolutely no power or right to interfere in the processes of the Legislature (which is the National Assembly) or the Judiciary. Both have their own rules, regulations and leadership and the constitution guides them and guarantees them total and complete independence from you.
As a matter of fact, they are charged by the laws of our land and the constitution to act as a check and balance on you as president and to ensure that you do not abuse your power or subject your people to tyranny.
Mr. President, I watched you on your media chat the other day and I am constrained to tell you that you not only abused your power but you also crossed the line with some of the things that you said. For example you have no right to tell the courts how to administer justice and who and who not to grant bail. Again, you have no business to tell the legislature which laws to pass and how to run their affairs.
Again you have no right and neither do you have the power to pronounce any Nigerian citizen guilty of any crime unless and until a duly constituted court of law has done so. You cannot be the prosecutor, judge and jury in any criminal proceeding, and this is especially so when you initiated those proceedings and you are the accuser.
To attempt to do so is not only unacceptable and irresponsible but it is also heartless and unkind. The fact that most of our senior and respected lawyers have refused to tell you this simply because they are scared of you or because they are looking for patronage from your government does not mean that what you are doing is lawful or acceptable. What you are doing is morally and legally reprehensible and it is unacceptable in any democratic and civilised society.

In the same vein, you have no right to try to stop members of the opposition or the general public from criticising you or condemning your obvious failings. Mr. President criticism, opposition and dissent are the lifeblood of democracy and without accommodating and tolerating them, you cannot claim to be a democrat.
You have no right to attempt to cower or intimidate the fourth estate of the realm, which is the media, or attempt to pervert and corrupt the Nigerian public with daily doses of lies, falsehood, deceit and propaganda which is being duly and dutifully administered by your Minister of Information and your numerous media aides.
What the Igbo want is fairness, equal rights, equal representation, equity and respect. They also believe that they have the right to determine their own future and make their own choices.
All these things give me and millions of your other subjects concern, yet it doesn’t stop there. Perhaps the most disturbing example of your sheer insensitivity was your reaction to the question about Igbo marginalisation during the media chat. In response to that question you asked, “Who is marginalising who?” And you went further to ask, “What do the Igbo want?”
Mr. President, I wish to remind you that it is an incontrovertible fact that in just seven months your government has succeeded in marginalising the Igbo more than any other Federal Government in living memory and certainly since the civil war.
This is a record that you ought not to be proud of. What the Igbo want is fairness, equal rights, equal representation, equity and respect. They also believe that they have the right to determine their own future and make their own choices.

Mr. President, I do not believe that this is this too much for them to ask, given the fact that they have contributed, perhaps more than most, to national development and integration in the last forty five years.
It is not too much to ask, given the fact that no less than three million of their people, including one million innocent children, were slaughtered during our civil war in the name of keeping Nigeria one?
I have no doubt that you will remember this very well Mr. President, given the fact that you were one of those that prosecuted that war and fought in it.
You will also remember the brutal mass murder and the war crimes and crimes against humanity that were perpetrated against the unarmed and defenceless Igbo civilian population of Asaba in 1968 when over one thousand of them were rounded up, taken to the town square and shot to death for no just cause.
The soldiers that carried out that unspeakable act of cowardice, brutality and barbarity were under the command of your professional colleague, the late Head of State, General Murtala Mohammed. Mr. President that was a dark, shameful and ignoble chapter in our history which still cries out for justice and reparations.
…Mr. President and if that were to happen, rest assured that the Yoruba would take a cue from it and so would the people of the Niger Delta. It would effectively signify the beginning of the balkanisation of Nigeria.
Needless to say the pain of such horrendous events and numerous others that the Igbo have been subjected to by the Nigerian state and those that control it over the last fifty five years still haunts them.
The truth is that regardless of the obvious contempt that you have for them, the Igbo will continue to insist on justice, fairness and on having their rights respected in our country.

If you refuse to address their numerous and legitimate grievances and you refuse to treat the m with the understanding, sensitivity and compassion that they deserve, the agitation for self-determination, secession and the yearning for the establishment of a new nation called Biafra will wax stronger and stronger until it reaches dangerous and irresistible proportions.
That is what you are toying with Mr. President and if that were to happen, rest assured that the Yoruba would take a cue from it and so would the people of the Niger Delta. It would effectively signify the beginning of the balkanisation of Nigeria.
Whether you and those with your world view like to hear it or not, that is the bitter truth. May the Ancient of Days grant you the wisdom, knowledge and understanding to accept it and to do something about it. May the Lord of the Universe give you the foresight and the insight to appreciate the fact that Nigeria cannot survive a second civil war.
Mr. President I sincerely hope that you do not take offence at my admonitions and counsel. I speak only out of concern for the fortunes of your administration, your reputation and out of love for my country. God bless Nigeria.

PoliticsNnamdi Kanu: Treasonable Felony Charges 'empty' Says Lawyer by ambac2bust(op): 11:44pm On Jan 06, 2016
Treasonable felony charges against pro-Biafran leader Nnamdi Kanu are empty, his lawyer has told IBTimes UK. Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor said the charges against Kanu, director of UK-based Radio Biafra, lack proof of evidence. The lawyer made the comments days after Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari said Kanu and former security aide Sambo Dasuki – accused of stealing money aimed for the fight against Boko Haram terrorists – will not be freed in spite of High Court rulings in favour of their release.
Kanu was arrested by the State Security Service (DSS) in Lagos last October on conspiracy and terrorism charges that were later dropped . One day after the Abuja High Court ruled he should be releasedreleased, officials pressed new charges against him and and two other defendants, Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi.

Buhari said during a media chat in December that the DSS disobeyed court orders due to the "atrocities" allegedly committed by Kanu. "The one we are calling 'Kanu' he has two passports, he brought equipment," he said. "Do you know Kanu brought in sophisticated weapons into the country? There's [a] treasonable felony case against him."
The leader also added he was not concerned about the ongoing pro-Biafran separatist movement that calls for the independence of territories annexed to Nigeria during the British colonisation, ended in 1960.
Why advertise with us
Buhari stirred controversy following his comments, with Human Rights Watch urging the leader to follow court orders.
Ejiofor said: "The comment made by the president in regards to the continued detention of Mr Kanu is indeed regrettable. He overstepped his limits by that statement as he has no powers whatsoever to dictate for the judiciary on issues of that. Recall that Mr Kanu is facing only three count charges that bothers on treasonable felony.
"Treasonable felony is a bailable offence under our laws as clearly provided under Section 118(2) of the Criminal Procedure Act Cap C41 LFN 2004 and Sections 158 and 163 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015. "
Ejiofor added that he had filed a motion for Kanu's bail application and he was confident his client would be granted bail this time. A date for the hearing on the motion is yet to be set.
"We have 99% chance of getting him granted bail based on this application. At such time, nobody shall hold him back afterwards, even the president can't do that as he is not in control of the judiciary," Ejiofor said.
He also denied allegations that Kanu could be transferred to a prison in Kaduna state and added that although some NGOs asked to join the proceedings, the team assisting Kanu is currently "being circumspect of infiltrators".
Kanu's wife delivers baby boy
Kanu's wife, Uchechi Okwu-Kanu, told IBTimes UK she could not travel from London − where she lives with their 15-year-old son and her husband until his arrest − to Nigeria when the pro-Biafran leader taken into custody in October, as she was heavily pregnant.
She delivered a baby boy, Joshua Nnamdi Kanu, on 5 January at a hospital in London.
She expressed concern at her husband's prolonged detention and Buhari's position, which she said signals the leader's alleged "abhorrence" of pro-Biafrans.
"I could read the swift change in his countenance immediately when he mentioned Nnamdi Kanu," she said. "I am itching to learn about the law against an individual's dual citizenship. Secondly, when has sophisticated equipment meant to broadcast with become a crime? I guess the NBC [National Broadcasting Commission] uses iPods.

'My husband is a prisoner of conscience'
This is why we need Biafra
"Nnamdi Kanu is only asking for the liberation of his people," she added. "He did not kill anyone − charge the Boko Haramists with treasonable felony, not Nnamdi Kanu, who only 'speaks' the truth."
Okwu-Kanu also expressed her frustration at her husband's previous lawyer, Vincent Obetta, who, she alleged, still "parades himself as Kanu's lawyer".
"I don't recognise him as such," she said. "He has lied several times telling those who cared to listen a few thrice now that my husband will be in court.
"I have appointed Honourable Barrister Ifeanyi C Ejiofor to go into the case. Vincent threatens any lawyer who comes close," she went on alleging. "This is not a case for a lecturer who has never been a full-time practicing attorney. Besides I only hear from the media about my husband's case. He slighted me and have kept me in the dark with his cohorts."
IBTimes UK has repeatedly contacted Obetta for a comment on the allegations, but it has not received a response at the time of publishing.
Kanu confirms fight for independence
Kanu, who is also the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (Ipob), confirmed in a statement dated 24 October that during an interview with Sahara Reporters he referred to Nigeria as "a zoo" and threatened war if the government failed to grant Biafra independence, the Punch reported.
In the statement, Kanu spoke about one of the first interrogations conducted by the DSS following his arrest. He said: "As I have earlier stated in past interrogation, the statements I make are purely designed to elicit reaction that will facilitate the desired change which is needed.
"In the interview, I made reference and said, 'the zoo has come to an end, they keep killing our people...'. In the interview, I also said 'the language the people hear in the zoo is violence. If they fail to give us Biafra, Somalia will be a child's play.' Yes, I stated that in the interview.
"Again, I was asked (and I said): 'If they do not give us Biafra, there would be no one living in the zoo.' Yes, I said so.
"I was also asked to confirm that I said that I do not believe that a peaceful approach to the restoration of Biafra was viable because I am not aware of anywhere else in the world where that is the case considering the history of the countries and their approach to such issues."
He denied he belongs to the Biafra Zionist Movement, but confirmed he supports the organisation's struggle and actions.

PoliticsWe Are Not Winning Boko Haram, We Are Being Killed, They Are Lying by ambac2bust(op): 10:03pm On Jan 06, 2016
We, the soldiers in Maiduguri, are losing patience, and we are planning massive protests in the country by January; then they will know our pains.
Here are the questions we want them to answer.
1. Is the Nigerian army really winning the war against the insurgency?
We are not winning the war against these people, if you will. Come to
any location across Maiduguri and interview the soldiers one by one – then you will know the pains we are passing through here. They keep deceiving Nigerians on media, sitting down in Abuja and telling the people what is happening in the theatre. Let them come and stay in these environment.
2. Are we really paid our entitlement as the soldiers who fight and die for their nation?
Why has Dambazau, who is now the minister of interior, suspended our allowances: TC allowance and furniture allowance? Why are the navy and the air forces still being paid their money? These questions should be forwarded to Dambazau.
3. Are the soldiers really equipped with good weapons to counter insurgents?
Recently some weaponry has been brought, however, most weapons we now use were bought by Goodluck Jonathan, when he postponed the last presidential election for six weeks, and the captured terrain was regained.

4. What are the tactics used in the war?
I must tell you there are no specific tactics being used. Whenever we go for any operation, we just move; most officers are so afraid that they just push the poor soldiers forward for them to remain at the rear.
5. Are we attacking the terrorists, or we are still sitting in ambush, waiting for them?
We are still sitting in ambush. Why is it so? The best form of defence is always attack. We wait for insurgents to attack and kill soldiers for nothing. The officers may lie to us that jet has bombarded the terrorists, and we should only go for mopping up. However, getting there we are likely see them waiting for us 5 km from the camp. There are saboteurs both of the upper and lower rank in the armed forces and the government.

6. Does the president visit the troops or send delegations to boost their morale?
What does President Muhammadu Buhari do to boost the morale of the troops in the war zone? Does he send delegations to visit us? No! He will never do this. Why is it so? Don’t get me wrong: the president is really trying to make sure the war is coming to an end.
7. Why do they sentence our fellow colleagues to 10-year imprisonments?
Why those generals stealing billions of naira are still walking and driving all over the country freely? There are the soldiers who were praying for Muhammadu Buhari to win during the last election so that he could at least understand since he was once in the system. Some of these poor soldiers are the bread winners in their families, I must tell you. But look at the outcome now. Where are those who stole the money meant to purchase arms for the troops, where are those who stole $1 billion? I feel that TB Joshua’s prophesy is coming into reality now.
8. How much is the operational allowance paid to the troops?
Why are we not paid our entitlement, even those who fought and died for their fatherland? When their families come to carry the corps, we are the ones to give them money to convey the corps.
They pay us just N30, 000 for an operation. Why do we work like elephants, and eat like ants in this country? Moreover, you will never see the money in two-three months. When we are out of town, our feeding is nothing to write home about. Most commanding officers spend the allowances meant for our colleagues lying in the hospital shot.
Where is the e-payment President Muhammadu Buhari has promised to provide the armed forces with? Let our salaries come directly from the CBN, and then nobody will have a chance to eat our money.
I must tell you the soldiers here are sick and tired of the everyday propaganda. If we don’t see any improvements by the end of January, there will be arrangeme

PoliticsDisobedience To Court Orders: See What Judges Are Planning To Do To Buhari by ambac2bust(op): 11:08am On Jan 06, 2016
Angered by President Muhammadu Buhari’s disdain for court orders, some concerned judges have vowed to defend the independence of the judiciary by always looking at the letters of the law, ahead of the president’s famous body language and emotions in discharging their duties.
During last Wednesday’s President Buhari’s maiden media chat, he dismissed concerns of the penchant of security agencies under him to flagrantly violate valid court orders, especially as it relates to the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki and the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.

The president’s aloofness as it concerns the growing disobedience to court orders has ruffled some feathers especially senior lawyers who have raised the alarm that it is a sure way to anarchy.
A very close source in the judiciary confided in Teamreporters that the judges across the three echelons of the judiciary; high court, appeal court and Supreme Court are feeling ill at ease with the president and therefore have vowed to give their all to maintain the sanctity of the judiciary.

The source said, the vociferous opposition from the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA and other senior lawyers against President Buhari was just the vent through which the bench is ventilating its frustrations with the president.
“I can tell you that the famed body language of the president won’t sway these judges. They have vowed to continue to follow the letters of the law, grant bail where the law says so, without let or hindrance, without even considering the sentiments and effusive emotions of the president on any matter.
“The judges are really seething with anger and you can see how easy it was for a federal high court judge in Abuja to do the Pontius Pilate in the case of Nnamdi Kanu; wash off his hands. That is just the sign of how frustrated these judges are. The other time, Justice Kolawole berated the security agencies and gave them strict orders never to re-arrest the AIT man on any frivolous charges.

“I can tell you that it may get to a point where judges will one after the other excuse themselves from corruption cases, because their thinking is that the president is inciting Nigerians against them. And they are no longer comfortable with it,” the source disclosed.
The president has faced growing discontentment and has come under vitriolic attacks owing to his justification for disobedience to rule of law. A US based lawyer has even petitioned the UN and the US president over the issue and has even gathered up to 1000 online signatures to force the president to resign if he continues to flout court orders.

The former Aviation minister, Olufemi Fani Kayode, reacted following the continued detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB) and Director of Radio Biafra………According to him, Buhari is not God and he cannot be worshiped….
“Woe to those who worship men and false gods and who bow before Baal, the Lord of the Flies. Meanwhile President Buhari and his government should please take note of the following: Sheik Ibrahim El Zakzaky, Colonel Sambo Dasuki and Mr. Nnamdi Kanu must NOT be beaten, tortured, poisoned or murdered whilst they are in your custody or else all hell will break loose.” he wrote on his Facebook timeline
He also said that, Buhari is not above the law and if care is not taken he will lead the Nation to doom. FFK expressed his opinion through his twitter page.

PoliticsMy Husband Will Continue Biafra Course If Released, Kanu’s Wife Declares by ambac2bust(op): 12:16pm On Jan 04, 2016
Uchechi Okwu-Kanu, the wife of the controversial director of Radio Biafra, has declared that her husband will not relent in his agitation for the Independence of Biafra states if eventually released.
Kanu’s wife who spoke on what prompted the idea as championed by her husband in an interview with the IBTimes UK, believes her husband who has been in the custody of the DSS after his arrest on October 25 is a prisoner of conscience.
Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and other pro-Biafran groups call for the independence of territories that formed the Biafran Republic, in 1967 and re-annexed to Nigeria in 1970.
Kanu, who is the leader of the movement, was arrested on charges of criminal conspiracy, intimidation and belonging to an unlawful society. Biafra leader pleaded not guilty.
Uchechi Okwu-Kanu says: “It is the British who laid the foundation of Nigeria… And these people [ethnicities and tribes of Nigeria] are of different culture, different religion, different belief, different understanding of life.
“So we all are different in several ways, in every way. So, we are not actually meant to be together. You must have heard about the Biafran war. My mom was born then, a few years before the war. We sort of defended ourselves. We defended ourselves for over a long period of time,” she added.
Kanu’s wife continued that Biafrans are now suffering, despite supplying resources to other parts of Nigeria.
“We don’t have better schools, we don’t have better roads, we don’t have anything, not even jobs.
“So that is why what they are doing is to leave. So, I would say referendum is not a bad idea, it is not a bad option, but the people need to understand why we want Biafra.
“And that’s what Nnamdi Kanu is doing, sanitising his people, creating awareness. And you can see that a lot of people have woken up from their slumber. Most people who are sleeping have come to realise that this is really what it should be. I mean, if he is released and then he stops, it means he’s been defeated or he doesn’t know what he wanted in the first place.
“But if you know the reason why you are asking for something: you are asking for bread because you are hungry, and then you are thrown into jail. Then you released from the jail, but still didn’t receive your bread, you are still hungry. So he would continue, he will, yes,” Kanu’s wife concluded.

PoliticsPresident Obama And The Looming 2016 Pogrom In Nigeria By Benjamin Nwosu by ambac2bust(op): 12:34am On Jan 02, 2016
The US president has turned a deaf ear while his protégé in Africa, a blood-thirsty dictator, prepares for a second pogrom in Nigeria. As happened in Burundi and Rwanda in 1993-4, the United States may claim that it was unaware of the state of affairs on the ground in Nigeria before this looming pogrom, but we are going on record to state the facts for the world to read.
just returned from a two-week visit to Nigeria, and I can report that President Barack Obama’s foreign policy in Africa has set the stage for a looming genocide in Nigeria. The man handpicked by President Obama and other western leaders to rule Nigeria is set to unleash a reign of terror on the most populous black nation in the world.
MASSOB Protest In Enugu City
Muhammadu Buhari, a former military dictator who ruled Nigeria with an iron fist in the early 1980s, was successfully re-packaged by western powers and sold to the Nigerian voters as the leader who would fight corruption, destroy Boko Haram terrorists, and restore economic boom to Nigeria. The world must know that President Obama to undermined the re-election bid of President Jonathan, by refusing to assist him with his campaign against Boko Haram terrorists, while secretly working with former Obama adviser Mr. Axelrod, European leaders, and western media houses to ensure a landslide victory for his minion, Mr. Buhari.
But Mr. Buhari’s inept and unfocused approach to governance in a democratic setting has taken him seven months to form a government, while paying lip service to the fight against Boko Haram terrorists, and sending Nigeria’s erstwhile robust economy on its final disgraceful limp to an early grave.
To detract attention from his innate democratic deficiencies and lackluster leadership, he has now turned his ire on an easy prey: the people of Southeastern Nigeria, a group that has been marginalized from all aspects of Nigerian life since losing out to Nigeria in the Nigeria-Biafra civil war of 1967-1970. The first order of business for this unrepentant dictator was to arrest and imprison the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, for exercising his right to free speech, by setting up a radio station to counter the imbalance in information dissemination in Nigeria. While I accept the premise that Mr. Kanu has made inflammatory statements that are deemed divisive, and could incite people to riot, there has been no instance of verifiable operational strategy to carry out any of his diatribes against Nigeria. This is why his case has been dismissed twice by the courts in Nigeria. However, there are antecedents to the setting up of Radio Biafra by Mr. Kanu. For those who do not know, global information dissemination in and about Nigeria, since her independence in 1960, has been championed by the BBC Hausa service, a post-colonial tool designed by Great Britain to exclusively broadcast strategic information to the Hausa-Fulanis of Northern Nigeria, at the expense of the rest of the country. The BBC Hausa Service is believed by many to havehas been used to prop up successive disastrous juntas dominated by Hausa-Fulani juntasnortherners in Nigeria by Great Britain, while London eagerly siphoned Nigerian natural resources in return for her support for these dictators.
Thus, the idea of a radio station broadcasting to the disenfranchised people of Southeastern Nigeria in their own language was a threat not just to the jittery dictator in Abuja, but to the West! Hence the reason for the deafening silence in London, Washington DC, and other western capitals over the arrest and illegal detention of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, long after the courts have dismissed his case and acquitted him of all charges.
But all careless acts have unintended consequences. The arrest and continued detention of Mazi Kanu has touched off a storm in Southeastern Nigeria. The disenfranchised people of Southeastern Nigeria have now poured into the streets of major cities in Southern Nigeria, waving the Biafran flag, burning Nigerian flag, and demanding the release of their leader. And this demonstration of solidarity does not sit well with Obama’s dictator friend in Nigeria.
Mr. Buhari has now stated publicly that the unity of Nigeria is non-negotiable, but he has forgotten that the unity of Great Britain, which cobbled Nigeria together in 1914, was re-negotiated last year in a referendum that almost saw the disintegration of the once glorious empire.
I traveled by road from Port Harcourt to Enugu in Southeastern Nigeria two weeks ago, and the entire Southeastern Nigeria is occupied by Nigerian troops. There are checkpoints everywhere, manned by gun-toting soldiers and allied personnel who conduct unofficial searches of road users, and have become a menace to the civilized existence of men, women, and children in Southeastern Nigeria. These soldiers have conducted two confirmed massacres in Onitsha, Anambra State. These soldiers have gone into clinics in Onitsha and forcefully removed critically-wounded survivors of their mass shootings to unknown locations. There are unconfirmed stories of mass burials conducted by these soldiers to hide traces of their mass executions in Southeastern Nigeria.
All these events took place before the Nigerian dictator in civilian garb announced that the unity of Nigeria was not negotiable. His next move is to use the massed Nigerian troops in Southeastern Nigeria to conduct what has been described in some quarters as the final solution to the Biafran question. The plan is to lay siege to major cities in the Southeast, seal all escape routes, and mow down as many demonstrators as possible to ‘teach them a lesson’. For those doubting Thomases out there, please recall that the Nigerian military mowed down scores of minority Shiite demonstrators in Zaria four weeks ago, and they are poised to escalate their macabre act in the Southeast! We have an American ambassador in Nigeria who has turned a blind eye while a citizen is rotting in prison for expressing his right to free speech, and while demonstrators are being executed with live bullets. We have an American President playing ostrich in Washington DC while his errand boy gears up to commit ethnic cleansing in Southeastern Nigeria.
Nigerians do not expect any meaningful leadership from this Western-government imposed dictator masquerading as a civilian president. He failed to show up for all presidential debates in the run-up to the general election, failed to produce his high school diploma or any qualifying document for the presidency, and took seven months to form a cabinet that is filled with some of the most corrupt politicians in Nigeria! Yet, in the run-up to the elections, all the western media houses, from BBC, CNN, to the New York Times were tripping over each other to get to the podium to sing his praises. Now they have all fallen silent as disaster looms in Nigeria.
The world must know that President Obama undermined the re-election bid of President Jonathan, by refusing to assist him with his campaign against Boko Haram terrorists, while secretly working with Mr. Axelrod, European leaders, and western media houses to ensure a landslide victory for his minion, Mr. Buhari. The Nigerian dictator, who dodged all debates in the last presidential election, had to be flown to England to read a speech written for him by English lawyers and bankers on how England would rule Nigeria through Mr. Buhari! Across the pond, the US president has turned a deaf ear while his protégé in Africa, a blood-thirsty dictator, prepares for a second pogrom in Nigeria. As happened in Burundi and Rwanda in 1993-4, the United States may claim that it was unaware of the state of affairs on the ground in Nigeria before this looming pogrom, but we are going on record to state the facts for the world to read. Going by the current trends, President Obama’s foreign policy achievements in Africa will eventually be summed up in a few words: a handful of dust!
