OPERATION OFFICER POSITION AT A NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION

A Lagos based NGO seeks Operation Executive/Officer to run the day-to-day operations of the Foundation.

Job Description

• Day to day running of the Foundations Secretariat
• Generate Annual meeting Calendar with Programmes
• Arranging and confirming counselling sessions with BOT members
• Updating members list and follow up of members after monthly meetings.
• Arrange and confirm with BOT members on agreed BOT meetings
• Coordinating meetings with the BOT
• Following up with invited guests and other program logistics
• Keeping track of birthdays and wedding anniversaries to send messages to members
• Organising gifts to BOT members on their birthdays
• Organising gifts for member’s, procedures or treatment and birth
• Dispatching information to members through a bulk SMS platform
• Updating BOT of the foundation’s members
• Planning and strategic development/performance improvement for the Foundation.
• Generate and submit weekly and monthly reports/activities of the foundation to the BOT.
• Liaising with all Partners of the Foundation. E.g. Hospitals, Schools, Sponsors, Government establishments and other partners.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Years of experience

· 3-5 years of working experience.

Database Administration

· Good use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and other relevant applications.
· Data Management and record-keeping of members

Corporate Communication Management

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills i.e. ability to speak, read and write well in the English Language.
· Ability to disseminate information when required.
· Management of Social media platforms and website
· Strict adherence to confidentiality


Personality Trait
· Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
· Good team player with leadership qualities.
· Good use of initiative.
· Good comportment with a smart appearance
· Others as may be instructed by Visioner and BOT members.

1. Lavender

The Romans used lavender oil for bathing, cooking and purifying the air.
Lavender essential oil is great for soothing you when you’re stressed,
calming down crazy kiddos and helping you ease into peaceful sleep.
But did you also know it’s great for burns? And that it soothes irritated
skin? It even takes the sting out of bug bites and makes for some great
head/neck tension relief.

Ways to Use …

Add 5 to 8 drops (depending on your preference) to 2 oz. of water
in a mini spray bottle and spritz on pillows and linens before bed.
Mix 2 drops each lavender and frankincense in 1 tablespoon
coconut oil and apply to temples to take away head/neck tension
and relieve stress.
Apply neat (undiluted) to fresh cuts, scrapes and wounds to speed
healing and kill bacteria.
Add 5 drops to a homemade cleaner for antibacterial properties.
Diffuse 5 drops in your house to promote peace and calm.
Add 2 to 3 drops to one cup of epsom salts and stir into a hot bath
for extra relaxation.

2. Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus is a fast-growing evergreen tree native to Australia. As an
ingredient in many products, Eucalyptus essential oil is antimicrobial
and makes a wonderful addition to any homemade cleaning recipe. It’s
also used as an expectorant and can be diffused in the air for

Ways to Use …

Add 10 drops of eucalyptus essential oil, 2 tablespoons of liquid
castile soap and hot water to the mop bucket to clean your floor.
Add 2 to 3 drops eucalyptus to 1 tablespoon coconut oil and rub
into your chest when you have a cold.
Add 5 drops to your diffuser to clean and freshen the air.
Add 5 drops each of eucalyptus and tea tree oil to a 16 oz. glass
spray bottle full of water and spray down your shower after each
use to inhibit mold growth.
Mix 3 to 4 drops into your pet’s shampoo to keep away fleas.

3. Lemon

Lemon is the ultimate essential oils for Christmas dehumidifier, popular because of their refreshing
scent and invigorating, purifying and cleaning properties. Not only will it
get the gunk off of your dishes and surfaces, but if you’ve got a
congested chest or gunky throat, it will take care of that as well.

Ways to Use …

Add 1 drop to 1 teaspoon of honey to soothe a dry or sore throat.
Diffuse 5 drops in a room to kill nasty odors and to lift your mood.
Apply 1 to 2 drops neat to remove sticky residue (either from your
hands or surfaces).
Use 3 to 5 drops neat to remove gum from fabric (or hair).
Mix 5 drops with 4 oz. unscented liquid dish soap for extra greasecutting

Apply topically with caution if you’re putting it on skin that will be

Peppermint is a good essential oils for Christmas to help relieve nausea, increase energy and

Ways to Use …

Apply 1 drop to temples and forehead to relieve pain. Don’t get it
in your eyes. Trust me.
Add 5 to 7 drops to a 16 oz. glass spray bottle of water and use as
a cooling spritz when it’s hot out.
Inhale deeply from the bottle to relieve nausea.
Apply 1 to 2 drops to the bottoms of feet to reduce fevers.
Add 5 to 7 drops to a 16 oz. glass spray bottle full of water and
spray around molding to keep pests out.
Combine lavender and peppermint to make this super simple balm.

5. Tea Tree

Tea tree is a must essential oil for Christmas in any home. Its germ-destroying,

Ways to Use …

infections naturally. (This is the only reason I’ll use it on my kids,

Add 1 to 2 drops to your homemade shampoo and hair rinse.
Add 5 drops to cleaning spray recipes to help kill germs.

Studio Operation Assistant needed

Duties
• Maintains control over radio studio equipment including continuous maintenance of such equipment
• Facilitates program arrangement for coverage of news, sports, feature stories and public affairs
• Record, mix and editing podcasts for online transmission.
• Making sure all relevant resources, from news items to guests, are sourced before recording.
• Transmitting podcast and uploading on the station’s website.
• Operating the systems during live program (mixer, computer, cameras etc).
• Produce radio commercials, sweeps and jingles in response to client briefs and station promotions.
• Assist the production set-ups during station events, remotes and station appearances.
• Serve as a liaison for the station during station events, remotes and station appearances.
• Provide direct assistance to Chief Editor.
• Supported public relations, business correspondence, and general office responsibilities.

Qualification/Requirements
• Good command of English
• Minimum of OND
• Familiar with audio-visual production (audio and video editing)
• Familiar with software like after effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, among others
• Must be IT inclined.
• Must be able to adapt to rapidly changing technology. Have a vivid imagination, artistic eye, and creative mindset with ability to work well under deadlines.
• Good research and interviewing skills
• Awareness of media law

NB: Living on the island in Lagos and flair for broadcasting will be an added advantage
