Hi everyone. Please I need help. I have gotten my visa for one year and four months. At the point I applied for it, I wasn't aware that my course is two years lemme explain the first year is for academics and the second year is for work placement and its optional. Now my question is this, if I wish to go for the second year which is optional, how do I get my visa extended? If its possible to do, will I need to present any bank statement to that effect? Justwise, et al please help me before I leave Nigeria.
You can apply to extend your visa while in the UK. When you get to your university ask for immigration advice service for more details.

Yababoy:
Left Nigeria on the morning of the 4th of September using Etihad airline. Major snag was that I intended to buy PTA using Travelex at the airport. Plan was to do an online transfer but realized they only collect cash. Tried to withdraw some cash from the ATMs at the airport but none was working. I had to send someone out of the airport to help with the withdrawal but had to call the person to come back when I was about to miss my flight. So summarized story, couldn't exchange enough money and therefore short on spending money until I fix a way to transfer my money in.
Had a stopover at Abu Dhabi and arrived Edinburgh at about 7.40am of September 5. Had to use a cab to get to the school as there was no Student union pickups and I had 3 Bags so using a bus would have been hectic as I'll have had to use 2 connections. Before I forget, withdrew 10 pounds at an airport ATM, exchange rate was 593 Naira to the pounds plus an extra N252 charge shocked. That was crazy.
Anyway, got to the school, went to the main reception. Got my accommodation sorted. Had a quick bath and took a needed nap.

Nice 1 @yababoy
plz what are the questions you were asked from departure here and at the point of entry as well as documents they asked for.And also which of the banks atm card charged you this high so that we all can learn.thanks
I guess its Union Bank (just a guess oh) cos they are one of the banks that have very high rate and charge N252 for commission. I use GTB currently at about 520. Stanbic and UBA have the fairest rate, you can check www.abokifx.com for daily update on the ATM rates.
TravelUK Launches New 24-hour Super Priority Visa Service In Nigeria by amdx21(op): 7:46am On Aug 11, 2016
Source: https://www.gov.uk/government/world-location-news/ukvi-launches-new-24-hour-super-priority-visa-service-in-nigeria

On 1 August 2016 UK Visas & Immigration launched a new 24-hour Super Priority Visa service in Nigeria.

The introduction of this service allows customers greater flexibility to choose from a number of visa products to meet their needs; it is offered alongside our current Priority Visa (front of queue processing 5-7 day) and standard (15 day) services.

The UK is the only European country to offer a visa decision in 24 hours. The SPV service is aimed largely at key business customers and those needing to travel urgently by providing a visa decision for collection at the Visa Application Centre the working day following submission. The service costs £750 in addition to the visa fee and will be available to eligible customers applying in the Abuja and Lagos Victoria Island Visa Application Centres.

Customers applying in any one of the following immigration routes are eligible to use this service:

· Visitors (all short stay visa categories, including those travelling for business and tourists)

· Points Based System Tier 4 (applicants must be legally resident in Nigeria)

Appointments are available Monday to Thursday from 08.30 to 10.00, and Fridays from 08.30 to 09.00 at the Abuja and Lagos Victoria Island Visa Applications Centres only.

Extending the Super Priority Visa service to Nigeria is another example of how the UK is leading the world in the provision of premium visa services for those coming to the UK to visit, do business or study.

Welcoming the introduction of the Super Priority Visa service in Nigeria, the British High Commissioner Paul Arkwright said:

“I am pleased to see the Super Priority Visa service being launched in Nigeria. This comes with an additional cost but is designed to give greater flexibility to our customers and underlines our strong commitment to make improvements to the visa services we offer. We expect this new service to be particularly useful for business. We understand that business opportunities and urgent requirements can arise at very short notice. We recognise this and want to facilitate such travel to the UK with this new super-fast service”.

Hi Guys! I am hoping to submit application for UK tier 4 visa with my wife as a dependant partner. My school resumes on September 21. The challenge is that I want to apply for a study leave in my place of work which I should do at least one month in advance. And my wife's proof of funds won't mature until Aug 29 (28days counting). Could there be any issue if I apply for my visa now and my wife applies in a month's time? We intend to travel together by Sep 16th.
From my personal experience there will be no issue, I got my Tier 4 Visa before my wife and child applied weeks later and we traveled together. That was in December 2015, I don't know what the rule is currently, you should go through the recent application guideline for more info.

Good morning everyone, please has anybody been able to pay for IHS and Visa fee this year? Kindly help me out on how it was done. Thanks
I went thru hell before i could finally pay, and I had 2 dependants to pay for. Most of the banks have reduced their limit to $300 per day, even stanbic that was $1000 is now $350 per day. Luckily I was able to use union bank to pay for IHS cos their limit is $500, but that is not enough to pay for the application fee. I had to use my bro's uk visa card, he was in Nigeria for holidays, and I gave him the Naira equivalent. Also somone's GTB worked but it is a special case cos the bank increased his limit on the card like 2 years ago when he was travelling for studies. I heard that one can also use paga.
