TV/Movies / Re: The Vampire Diaries and The Originals Fan Page by amicableSavage: 2:50pm On Feb 18, 2016
Honestly, I'm beginning to loose taste of this series. Both becoming predictable. Little or no cliff-hangers unlike before. Just not what I expected.

I think it boils down to the story being too long. They ain't even following the book.

Camille of all people is now a vampire cry so sad. Originals keeps digging new faces up from their past. Kinda archaic sha.

I'm sure I'm speaking the mind of peeps here.

Just like Deeaka said, some people never see result. A lot of people in my department have not even gotten a glimpse of the broadsheet. The new system kinda caused it. The way a seeing it, a lot of people are gonna go with Batch B.

NYSC / Re: NYSC 2016 Batch A Corp Members House by amicableSavage: 9:31pm On Jan 25, 2016
@Abbie25 and co

I was in school, unilag today. No list was pasted outside dsa. They said prolly during the week.

Here's the thing, the awaiting list of dsa comes from senate, Nysc office 4th floor. If your name is there atm(cos they've a list with then) you've got no worries. My name is there though.
I observed that the names there are for those who weren't deployed on previous mobilization. So they're considered first.

You guys that just finished last session, una never convocate self...so be patient pals.

keep calm

@amicablesavage

HOW NYSC POST PROSPECTIVE CORP MEMBERS TO DIFFERENT STATES. (Take NOTE)

During the course of your final online NYSC Registration which you will be required to produce some information such as

-Your Full name,State of origin,State where You schooled,contact details

-Your active Gmail/Yahoo mail account

-NYSC will also ask You to indicate the states you have visited or being to before.

-NYSC will bring out the 36 states + Fct out during registration while you will be required to select ONLY 3 STATES OF Your choice. i.e the states you would love to serve.
Out of those states,The system will automatically remove (Your state of origin and the state you schooled)

-NYSC expects you to choose three different states which one should be an Eastern state,Western state and Northern state. To balance it.
For instance, If you schooled in Lagos,and you are from the eastern part, NYSC Expects you to chose like OGUN STATE OR OSUN STATE AS FIRST CHOICE,ENUGU OR ABIA OR IMO AS SECOND CHOICE, JOS,ABUJA,KANO,TARABA,KASTINA AS THIRD CHOICE.

-Out of those states you selected be rest assured You will be given one of them.

- If you play smart by choosing the whole three choices within south west,east or north.. NYSC might select a random state you did not even include for You.

-Also Try as much as possible to register your online registration early,so as not to have issues .

Issues like
1)being posted to a northern and unsecured state
2) being a member of stream 2 instead of stream 1.

3) Having issues with printing out your callup letter etc.
thanks a lot. Pls when does the online registration starts? You've got mail.

@amicablesavage

I can choose from southwest, I can't choose lagos because I schooled here and I can't choose ogun state because it's my state of origin.
really? Is it that easy? How sure are you?

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: This Type Of Resume Can Get You Interview Invites. Stand Out!!! by amicableSavage: 6:17pm On Jan 14, 2016
Tobex4realTobex234:
The human brain is wired to respond to visual storytelling than boring texts. Images grab our attention. The magic of visual storytelling can even make your resume more engaging, which is just what you need to get noticed in a competitive job market.

Remember: a resume is a marketing document designed to engage the HR manager, get you the interview, and eventually land you the job. A visually engaging resume can help you get more positive attention, but only if you know what you’re doing. Recruiters and hiring managers review hundreds of resumes on a daily basis and if you can find a way to differentiate yourself, you should take that opportunity.
A visually engaging resume like the one attached is also a great way to show your creativity, presentation, and personality.

While this type of resumes are not suitable for all job roles e.g like finance, academic e.t.c There’s an industry standard for what a resume should look like and what should be contained therein. They want professional and professional to them is black and white with paragraphs meticulously edited to their standard.

I.T/Creative industries and positions respond really well to these types of resumes—for example, communications, marketing, advertising, PR, web, social media strategists, designesrs e.t.c.,

N:B
If you’re applying online, you may be limited to a standard set of fields and formatting options. This type of resume won’t work well in these situations. You’ll need a traditional resume to comply with some employers’ requirements. Even as at that, We can still help with a template.

Our visually engaging resume can’t completely replace your traditional resume. You will still need a strong traditional resume for certain
situations. This resume just gives you another tool to use when the situation calls for something more creative.

If you’re going to create this type of resume, make sure it’s awesome. A weak attempt at being different is more damaging than a strong attempt at being mainstream. That is why you either let experts do it for you or you continue using your traditional resume.

I would be creating free ones for the first 3 people only.

Kindly send your present CV preferably in MS-Word format to "tobi@creativitykills.co" with the subject "NAIRALAND RESUME OFFER"
pls can you teach me how to do this
