A 4ft Snake has been pulled out from a woman’s throat after it crawled into her mouth while she slept in her home, in Russia.

According to reports, the reptile crawled inside her as she slept in the yard of her home in Levashi village in Dagestan.

When she started feeling unwell, she was rushed to a hospital where she was put under general anaesthetic.

During her operation, a doctor was filmed removing the snake after inserting a tube down her throat.

The female patient was not identified and her current condition is unknown.

The Lagos State Emergency Management, has received distress calls concerning a privately operated helicopter that crashed into 16 A Salvation Road, Opebi, Ikeja.

The helicopter was carrying three people, one is in the intensive care unit at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital while the other two were killed on impact and there bodies has been deposited in mortuary .

Three months after the brutal rape and murder of Uwaila Omozuwa, a 100-level student of the University of Benin, the Edo State Police Command on Wednesday, had paraded six suspects in connection with the crime.

23-year-old Vera Uwaila Omozuwa, a 100-level Microbiology student of UNIBEN, was beaten inside a hall in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Ikpoba Hill, Benin City on May 13, where she went to study.

She died on May 31, 18 days after, at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital. Parading the suspects at the command’s headquarters in Benin City, the state

Commissioner of Police, Johnson Kokumo, gave their names as Nelson Ogbebor, Akato Valentine, Tina Samuel, Mary Ade, Nosa Osabohien and Collins Ulegbe. Mr Kokumo said the police decided to intensify efforts in unravelling those behind the death of the student after the public outcry and “the interest by the Inspector-General of Police in the matter”.

He said, “the matter was a great concern to the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Muhammed Adamu who sent to us here in Benin, homicide experts to work with our policemen at the state criminal investigation department.

“What we are seeing today, is a result of the uniting efforts of the police to get at the root of the crime, and today, I am announcing to you and making public through this medium that the perpetrators have been arrested.”

Alleged internet fraudster, Ramon Abbas, “Hushpuppi“, has been arraigned in an American court in California as his trial begins on October 13.

Hushpuppi pleaded not guilty to the four-count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering conspiracies, international money laundering and engaging in monetary transactions in property derived from specified unlawful activity.

In June, the 37-year-old known for flaunting an opulent lifestyle on social media, was arrested in Dubai by special operatives of the Emerati police and American Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

In July, Hushpuppi alongside Olalekan Ponle, popularly known as Woodberry, was extradited to Chicago in the United States where he was first arraigned.

However, because the U.S. Court in Illinois does not have jurisdiction over the case, he was transferred to Los Angeles, a city in California.

Since his transfer to California late July, he has been held in the custody of the U.S. Marshal in a federal prison.

Meanwhile, the prosecutor kickstarted the process of arraignment by filling necessary documents and forms after his first appearance on August 17.

After the pre-trial services, Hushpuppi entered a plea, insisting that he is not guilty of the charges.

A 49-years old man, Christopher Muchenga from Mt Hampden, Zimbabwe, has reportedly died after his lover pulled his private parts during a scuffle.

The man's lover has been identified as Mbuya Ropafadzo and it was gathered the incident occurred last week. 

Muchenga died after his private part was pulled while being pinned on the ground by Ropafadzo's other lover.

His family's spokesperson, Margaret Kamwaza said he decided to have a quality time with Mbuya Ropafadzo, just after his salary was paid before the sad incident.

A Twitter user, @Mykael_yuddy, has posted his encounter with a lady who wanted to prove God's name by raising the dead but tackled God instead when she couldn't do so.

According to the Twitter user, he said he was at the Isolo General hospital when a lady, pictured above, walked up to him, to share the word of God with him, but he declined her offer, telling her to rather take the word to the sick ones.

The lady insisted and this led to her trying to raise the dead, just to prove there's power in God's name.

The 37-year-old Ghanaian singer, Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, popularly known as Mzbel, had said that getting married is not readily in her plans.

Popular Nollywood star, Monalisa Chinda has said actresses are often quiet about incidents of sexual harassment over the fear of stigmatisation and the resultant effect on their careers.

Monalisa Chinda had said this while appearing as a guest on The Other News, a satirical show hosted by comic-actor Okey Bakassi on Channels Television.

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) had recently expressed its determination to put an end to all forms of sexual harassment in the movie industry.

When asked to weigh in on the subject, Chinda said many actresses are not comfortable enough to open up about such incidents, while adding that she’s never though been a victim.

“It’s a bit uncomfortable for someone to come out and say I was cornered to sleep with a producer because of a role,” she said.

“They keep quiet about it because of their careers. Apart from that, the society stigmatises these women. So you just swallow your pride," she said.

“When you are outside the shores of Africa, women are heroes for coming out to speak about sexual abuse, but here, it isn't easy," she went ahead.

Speaking further, Chinda expressed her standpoint on domestic abuse and also urged women to avoid “provoking” their husband or instigating violence.


She said: “As much as I detest all forms of violence against women and men, women should quit provoking their man by beating punches and slaps".

“I’m a domestic violence [enthusiast]. I always research when I hear fresh stories about domestic violence. Half the time, it is the women."

“God just gave us this running Okra mouth. Women, don’t fight with people who are stronger than you", she said, warning to all women.
