If you do, he would make it easy for you to forgive
You just have to make up your mind first and tell him(Jesus) that you are willing to forgive.
When you do this,because you believe what Jesus has said that if you love him(by following his commandments) he would love you and he would manifest himself to you. You won't need to fear any snake or anything at all
