Ok, I've been applying for security guard job on various job sites and I got a mail that I've been randomly selected for a position in Oman as a security officer based on my profile, qualification and experience. They demanded for my whatsapp number(they never sent me a message) and passport data page. I sent those items to them and earlier today they sent me a contract letter to sign. However, I smell something cos I thought at least they would ask of medical report and police report as well. The salary in the contract too sounds too good to be true too. Well, they asked nothing of that kind and they also added some information to the offer letter which am yet to understand properly. What they stated was that the company (in Oman) is demanding 1000drms as security deposit and that when I get to Oman, that money is refundable. The recruiters are claiming that they've paid that and I will pay them 2000drm if everything goes through and am able to confirm the visa online. Please what's your take on this development?

I get such mails all the time. I don't think any company would hire anyone without an interview via Skype or any other means, and they also do not ask for money. I have a friend who got a job from Nigeria and the company paid for everything without asking for 5kobo from her, she's now in Qatar smiling to the bank. Please note that all these yahoo boys visit online job sites to get data like name, email and the position you applied for too, so by the time they send such mail, one can easily fall for it.

Why are we like dis? We keep making these guys feel so important by giving them one 'useless' award/ Chieftaincy titles for doing nothing. They bribe their ways to get, all the titles in their community and the so called community leaders will grant them such just because of money.

Stop giving all these politicians and some celebrities awards/Chieftaincy titles . .. ..they don't deserve it especially David Mark. I'm sorry if I'm hurting anyone but the truth must be told!

I mean, how can he be this heartless to his people? He has been in power for ages yet nothing to show for it, I'm seriously beefing him even tho say the man no sabi say i dey exist

Even a primary school pupil with basic understanding of figures and dates can see from the chart above how the GDP growth began to plunge uncontrollably from over 6% in 3Q 2014 (when oil crash started), to 2.35% in 2Q 2015 (when oil was even still selling above $60).
