One wonders how Havertz continue to be a starter for every coach considering the level of bashing from Nairaland. Though, there are inadequacies in him but his positive contributions outshines any inadequacy. |
nateevs:Why won't I? One is growing frustrated everyday with the shit they offer. The growth that supposed to be seen in their overall play is what we're experiencing in terns of frustration. A player will be termed good if possess a blend of skill set, technique and hardwork. Most of these players are bunch of hustlers lacking football skills. Mount contributes nothing to midfield play - he always wait for chances creation instead of being chances creator. Loftus-Cheek, the less said the better. Gallagher can still be seen in his role, orchestrating play in midfield. However, still average. I am reminded of Hudson Odoi who nothing is been heard of him in the Bundesliga. For Graham Potter, Chelsea owners have left us with no choice than to live by the beginner coach. |
Almajirihunter:Having Mount, Gallagher, Loftus Cheek in midfield and Potter as coach speaks a lot about our present position. Disheartening we still have people clamouring for these lowly lots. |
ImDStar:Abeg stop this merging, allow them go their separate ways. In proper perspective and expression, the difference in margin between Asiwaju (Ordained winner) and Peter Obi (Ordained loser) will be like heaven and earth. |
This kind of picture is depressing for Obidense I just hope they will not die before the arrival of death |
Honestly, I somehow feel Todd has been talking to Graham this whole while and has been receiving his affirmation to the signings we all thought they were making for Tuchel. No surprises, he also plays Tuchel’s formation... It looks more or less like the sack was planned well before now. The Zagreb show was just used as excuse.. And you can't tell me some of the players don't know about the plan and deliberately downed tools to hasten the sackDid he truly say this? |
donstan18:Don't abuse the magnanimity of an elder o |
donstan18:Truly, I don't have any legal right to tell an adult what to do and what not to do. But It will be disservice to you to watch you derail, jettisoning appropriateness for inappropriateness owing to your reservation for Tuchel. How can you reward a child that failed in class and ignore the child that comes out in flying colours? You can't do this and we elders watch you effortlessly. Agba ki wa l'oja, ki ori ọmọ tún tún o wọ |
donstan18:Appreciating a failed manager in the face of a sacked winner is a miss road appreciation and that is the discussion. Don't shift goal post. |
donstan18:Tuchel >>>>> Lampard Mourinho >>>>> Lampard Di Matteo >>>>> Lampard Conte >>>>> Lampard Ancelloti >>>> Lampard Sarri >>>>> Lampard Benitez >>>>> Lampard Hiddink >>>> Lampard Vialli >>>>> Lampard So let's see where your ink will take you to appreciate these managers, then if you're still left with ink which I strongly doubt, you can appreciate your tested and trusted failure. |
donstan18:Unthinkable that one will tag Lampard, a trophy less manager GOAT and rank him among title winning managers. Tuchel, Di Matteo and Mourinho added to our laurels, and so the unforgettable. |
donstan18:Since the appreciation is Chelsea related, Tuchel is more deserving of it for lifting the UCL without spending and has eluded a certain manager even after spending a country's budget. Let's prioritise weighty attainment and decorate it with weighty appreciation. |
donstan18:To many of us as a fan, winning that 2nd UCL trophy is a great service than a top 4. A great tangible and bragging right bequeathed on us by Thomas Tuchel. Hence, Tuchel is more GOATED in Chelsea's history. |
Kovacic did EVERYTHING in that midfield. He was faced with the dilemma of no midfield partner to exchange passes with. His good for nothing midfield partner, Mount is always in the opposition box waiting for others to create for him when he ought to create. Check the circuit image shared, Mount is always the fourth man in attack. Mount supposed to be added to ritual materials to safe us from the rot. |
Mount, is that a player? |
Mount finishing that match remains a mystery to me. He neglected his midfield responsibility Isolated Kovacic all through Mount contributed nothing while he involved in more minutes than Ziyech and Ziyech is the one called out. This thread reeks of bias |
Yesterday's beautiful performance again clearly shows Tuchel is tactically outstanding and always do his part. Failure on the part of our attackers to be clinical is always the hitch. |
With the Blues preferring to have a three-man defence and wing-backs, there is room for just two central midfielders, who as a result have a higher physical workload. That perhaps explains why metronomic playmaker Jorginho - Best FIFA Men's Player and UEFA Player of the Year in 2021 after inspiring Chelsea to the Champions League and Italy to the Euro 2020 title - at times looks ill-suited to the style of play, forced into 'grunt work' rather than manipulating the ball and keeping things ticking over. |
dostr4:The point is, it is just an effort in futility because those at the helms of recruitment does not hear nor sees it |
dostr4:Fans keep linking Depay to Chelsea when no outfit has reported such. Stop this self deceit |
hensben:Much pleasing to hear this. We need to come to the reality and acknowledge Mount is not serving us what he ought serve us in midfield activities. He is as well a culprit. |
hensben:In as much as he is one of the holders of the position, midfield where we are finding this fault, i agree he is a culprit. However, we need to come with equity and say the same of Kante. As many faults and weaknesses we can identify in Jorginho, we should not exonerate Kante; too many misplaced passes, and his decision making in the final third is below par. |
I don't know what is actually responsible for the less action we do witness in our midfield while the bulk of it is seen on the flank. Quite unimaginable that Iwobi drafted into a new position entirely had much of the ball and action in the midfield yesterday. Is it the combo of Jorginho/Kante or the none involvement of Mount or the 3-4-3 formation? I don't know actually. |
Ben Chilwell and Marc Cucurella I think having this two is better than having the trio of Kenedy, Emerson and Alonso. |
lordfalcao:Quite laughable. Season is long ooo All these players are corpse that are no strangers to burial sites. How on earth should we put our hopes in them. Though, among them, i have soft spot for Armando Broja. Hoping he will be given the chance. |
Singapore1:He also confessed to hate participation in transfer activities. Not his calling. We should absolve him of any wrongdoing considering trying to do his best in what circumstances has thrown at him. Let us wish him best in his choices and be optimistic of the players hitting the ground running. |
Ibime:Well, frankly speaking, i detest the choice of Dumfries and Ake. Going back for our former players is always a no for me. In addition, Perisic and Bisouma transfer came too early; when we were still battling with Granovskia and administrative structure. So, i will implore you to take that away from your lips. However, i strongly belief Cucurela is a quality player and addition for us. Frenkie De Jong as well, he is a complete midfielder. Someone capable of bringing smooth transition in our play and neutralise midfield pressure. He is an expert in your usual phrase 'press resistant'. Gvardiol, i cannot say much, but to a certain extent, a suitable addition. |
Ibime:Those players are your own picks and nothing to substantiate they will come better. Yes, there will be complain from various quarters if we go low as recommended by you. We will chastise Tuchel for not matching other big spenders and want to compete favourably. The narrative will be, is it his money, why the reluctance to spend? I am as well surprised you wish for us another season long agony by suggesting staying put with tested failures Kennedy, Emerson and the likes. Why have you chosen quantity over quality? Why? |
