Poch should just switch to 4-3-3 with the highly anticipated LFC midfield; if not a flat 3 man midfield, Enzo can play higher in a sort of no.10 role ahead of Lavia and Caicedo. Sterling takes one wing, Mudryk or Madueke takes the other.

Go back to what we were doing in preseason. I know Nkunku was a huge part of that but either get an attacker (I hear Kudus to West Ham is not advancing) or use someone else there.

Maatsen is good but still needs to gradually earn game time. That is why we are asking if holy boehly can get us another attacker who can score.

Chilwell squandered opportunities in our two opening matches. He was given the responsibility of an attacker and as expected, he failed woefully.

When we were on a strong foot and mounting pressure on Westham, he relied on a defender and when were under pressure, you brought in those attackers you lack trust in and not given chance to rescue you.

With 5 defenders you chop 3 goals

Intention of using 5 defenders was to stop goals and goals was eventually swallowed.

That said, nothing should stop the incorporation of Cesare Casedei into our midfield personnel in this coming season. We have a gem in our hands.

This has been debated over and over. I don't know why we continue to make this an issue.

As a matter of fact, Poch plays predominantly with a 4-2-3-1... And If you want to be nuanced about the starting position of players in that set-up, that will be 6 defensive-minded players. Same number of defensive-minded players in a 3-4-3. Difference between them being that extra defensive-minded is in the centre.

But you don't hear people screaming about 6 defensive-minded player in a 4-2-3-1, because they see a back four.

It might not be an issue to you but it is to many who have grown tired of such set up.

In a 3-4-3, there are 6 defensive players and sometimes 7 depending on the choice of players. Additionally, there are 3 center backs and 2 full or wings backs as the case may be; making 5 defenders practically.

However, that isn't so in a 4-2-3-1. I need to say here that it is not as if i am rooting or perhaps raising hopes about the arrival of Pochettino. It is a no as i am not totally convince with his CV.

Summarily, expected slight deviation from that of the past is pleasing enough.

Enough of this 5 defenders and community defending.
