ekpotek: In addition to the above. If possible include your wife and her sister birth certificates! @ Ekpotek and Justwise, I need a clarification on this- my wife's sister and her husband in UK invited us for a family reunion but the documents submitted and account statements were for the husband (being the sponsor). We were rejected on the basis that the documents sent doesn't show we re related. However, we intend to reapply with my wife's sister birth certificate, marriage certificate and pictures of my wife and her sister. Also, we are attaching the various emails, telephone chats etc. I have included this in the cover letter that the wife is a sister to my wife. Are we in order with this application? What do we need to add again? |

justwise: Yes email correspondence, whats app chats, phone log, pictures etc, any form of communication evidence between him and you or your wife @Justwise, thank you for your response. We have all the information stated above. The sponsors are sending their own documents showing we are related including wedding pictures with my wife as best lady, Nigerian passport with former name etc. We want to reapply now and wants to know if we need to get another statement of account or resubmit the one earlier because it ended 12th March. |

Thank you for your response.
The budgeted amount is for three people(me, spouse and 1 year old boy) for 12 days.
Do I need our email correspondence or documents showing my wife's previous name and her sister previous name before change of name?(Both surname are the same). They have agreed to send the documents to me showing the wife's previous name before marriage.
Did you include any communication with your inlaw? |

Amolad111: @Justwise, please assist on my issue. I have pasted the refusal letter for advise.
I have attached the refusal letter. However, the ECO stated that I planned spending 1.3M but my application form showed 715K. How do I correct this?
Also, my sponsors happened to be my wife's sister and her hubby. What documents should they send to show that we're related? |

Amolad111: @Epoteck and Justwise,
I just picked up my family passports but we were refused on the ground that my in laws who invited us did not show any documents that we are related.
Also, the ECO stated that the proposed fund for the trip is 1.3m as against 715k stated in the application form.
The total amount in my account is 1.3M.
My in-laws intend to appeal the decision from UK. Will this suffice? And what's the way forward?

justwise: Not necessarily a cover letter but a budget-like outline of the cost of the trip
You have to state your average monthly income and support it with paper documents then use the blank space in the form to explain the nature of your income. @Justwise, Below are the documents I am submitting for me, my wife and a son. Thank you the prof. But which account should the bulk funds be. My company's account or personal account? I should just use a percentage? |

justwise: @Amolad11
Is two months of your salary within that range? @Justwise, Yes, my 2 months salary is within the range. Though, it's paid in 2 forms- fixed and variable pay(commission) |

[quote author=justwise post=65395546]I don't think that is realistic, how much will flight cost for 3 people?[/quote
The prof.,
The ticket is about 580k-2 adults and an infant as at now. However, the total anticipated cost for the trip is 800k. Will 1.2 M in both accounts be sufficient? Also, which account should have the bulk funds? |

Amolad111: @ekpotek and other gurus in da house.
I am a new member and have been appreciating all the contributions so far.
My issue is I am planning to apply for UK visa with my wife and a son (note that we have 2 kids staying behind) . I am fully employed and have a registered business also. The balances on both accounts is about 1.2M. But the bulk fund is in the company's account. Should I leave the major funds in the company's account or personal account?
My job has a fixed pay and variable pay - commission, and my wife is also paid the commission. Should I attach my wife's statement of account but with little balance?
We have all documents including feeding and accommodation from my in-law in UK but the fund is my concern.
Please elaborate the procedure to me. |
