Why do you keep being so obtuse? undecided

Do you not realize that in sports even your performance at friendlies contribute to your ranking? Even those who compete in your so called Big leagues all come together for friendlies so it remains a competition among them even when it is still a friendly.

I hate schooling you like this but you seem hell bent on remaining dumb as fvck.
This back and forth started because I said Mike came to Nigeria to take advantage of an opportunity he might never get again in Britain sportwise. If you like keep twisting like a snake, it doesn't change the facts for what is. The only chance of Mike ever going for an international championship competition ever again is Nigeria and that's exactly why he's here.

Good evening cheesy

So IAAF was vague when they listed it all on his personal profile? cheesy cheesy cheesy

So a friendly is not a competition? So who were they COMPETING with in the said friendly? Are you sure you are a lawyer because it amazes me you do not know the meaning of the word Competition and assume that a friendly is not a competition.

I can see you have been stepping on your brain all day today. Goodluck
check my last post. Read and understand. He was quoted to saying the last international competition he had even gone to was in 2009. He was mad IAAF banned him from jumping for Nigeria as that was his only opportunity of playing in the big leagues.

cheesy you're welcome.

Here we go again with your lies.

You first claimed his dad is Jamaican and you were shown that it is HIS STEP DAD that is Jamaican. You then jumped on that and said even if his step dad is Jamaican does not mean his dad isnt Jamaican and now you are back to claiming his Dad is Jamaican and also claimed you are stating only facts.
Does all this not mean ONE bleeding thing. How can you write one million words for something that means one thing.

His biological dad is Jamaican, whether or not he has a Jamaican step father. How in the world is that me contradicting my self?

You can't honestly be this dumb! Like it's impossible!

IAAF is not a Nigerian organisation, Mike has been recognised by IAAF since he became a Professional Athlete for Britain. So how did he now come to Nigeria to join IAAF. It is just like saying when Alex Iwobi decided to play for Nigeria as against England whom he played for as a youth that he came to Nigeria to join FIFA.

Stop shooting yourself on the legs.
You know I obviously meant the Nigeria faction. Deal with the points presented and not semantics

This post shows you are simply a dolt.

Someone who has competed in international events in USA, Czech republic, etc is who you term as an internal game athlete? Why not go through his profile on IAAF website and cure yourself of your obvious nauseating ignorance and foolish comments borne from that ignorance and save all of us from the pain of this stupidity you wish to feed us all with.

https://www.iaaf.org/athletes/nigeria/mike-edwards-251882

Note that it clearly states on his IAAF profile that he is representing Nigeria now. Then feel free to snoop around his profile so your ignorance can be cured.
You make a lot of noise without actually saying anything. You brought a link that has no info on it. Where did it state he's gone for international competitions in US, Czech.. Etc. Drop the links too.

Quote me where I said he's isn't representing Nigeria in future games?

And your motives make no sense any which way you look at it.

You claim he is being selfish but on the flip side you have been shown that it is in the favour of Nigeria because Nigeria has had no highjumpers for 50 years. This is a plus for Nigeria

You claim he is not Nigerian on the flip side you have been shown he has a right to dual citizenship and even England has released him to Nigeria to compete for us which shows he is also Nigerian as well as British.

You claim he has never jumped professionally but only did so in high school and you have been proven wrong yet again.

You claim his career is dead yet he has held bronze, silver and most recently gold medals just last year which also proved you wrong

You still wish to continue arguing senselessly

As a self acclaimed lawyer you should know when your argument is useless and has been thrown out.

What then is the purpose of your nonsensical merry go round of a useless argument?
How you go about trying to flip my words and statement is crazy. Go through my comments.

1. I said his dad is Jamaican and that makes him a Jamaican by default. Ofcourse he could claim Nigerian citizen by virtue of his mum.
(which he did) I never argued against his right to Nigerian citizenship.

2. I said his coming to Nigeria to join IAAF was selfish simply because he knows his career has been shelved in Britain and he wouldnt grow there anymore. He knew he couldnt grow there anymore. The last time he jumped for Britain (outside Britain) was in 2009 when he was 19.

If you see anything different front these points, search for it and quote me.

He did not earn the slot yet has gotten Bronze, silver and now gold medals in same tournament. Who do you think IAAF as an organization represents?

So he got ranked by IAAF because according to you Nigeria does not have high jumpers and in the process of ranking he got more highly ranked than high jumpers numbering over 3000 from other countries with high jumpers?

Do you see you are simply not smart but just a senseless noisemaker?
Are you kidding me? Is your process of assimilation this slow? Internal games does not and will never counts as an international game. Win 100 gold medals in a game organised by your locality, it does not count.

His IAAF ranking doesn't count seems he's the only one. Who is he ranked against? Kapish.

SMH,so much hate for someone who doesnt know of your existence.
What you're implying now is that everyone supporting Mike should Decamp because he was born and raised in UK by a Nigerian mom and a Jamaican step dad.
Wait,is it his fault that your parent couldn't give birth to you in Uk.Mike grew up in Britain and it is understandable that he pursued his career there.
One question I will like to ask you is what will you have done differently if you were in his shoes? Would you have start your career representing Nigeria a country you are not familiar with or UK where you have lived almost all your life?.
Would you have rep Naija considering its pathetic sporting state?.
I'm sure if you are asked to start a career in any sport right now you will definitely pick UK over Nigeria even having lived your life here.

PEACE
There is no hate. I know it's painful to admit that the person you admire so much is here to advance a dead career rather than help out. His motives are selfish. Deal with it.

Mike will represent Nigeria on high jump in Olympics 2020. Check Athletics Nigeria Instagram page. Nigeria has not been represented in high jump in over 50 years.
He is making an effort to connect to his mother land. His colleagues would adopt man know man if not that the actual jumping would expose them.
Pls stop hating him. Love is free.
Why didn't you criticize Anthony Joshua when he came around as a guest if Otedola.
Mike Edwards is one of the sporting gems of Nigeria and will cement his place in Olympics 2020 mark this post.
I hope so too. I like him actually. Just wanted to demistify the almost worship he was getting for his supposed selflessness for coming to Nigeria and joining the IAAF when his motives seems entirely much more selfish. I wish him well.

Have some shame when you lie. Mike is currently 28yrs old. If you claim he only jumped once for Britain when he was 19 how come he jumped in 2018 when he was 27 and is the current indoor highjump champ?

IAAF currently ranks him about 134 out of about 3500 internationally recognized High jumpers.

You lie shamelessly and its unappealing for a woman
He turned 29 more than a week ago. Is a British game an international competition? Iaaf only give him that slot because Nigeria doesn't have high jumpers. He's the first in 50 years. So he didnt necessarily earn that slot.

Does it matter if his father is Nigerian? Key thing is one of his parents is and Nigerian blood in his vein by his mom. Nigerians get US or Uk citizenship by virtue of being married to a citizen or born on the soil by a Nigerian parent with legitimate status in the country.
Why try to twist his origin because you want to buttress your hatred for him. People like you are xenophobes in South Africa who can't tolerate success in foreign or fellow citizen who employ them. Nigerians are queuing for visas to emigrate to Canada, US, UK and these guys receive us with open arms provided we are contributing to the economy. Mike is a world class high jumper that is putting Nigeria s name on the sporting map. Now you display blatant hatred for your fellow black man who shared common origins with you via his mother... BBnaija is just a game show.... Not do or die
Mike isn't any world class athlete. That's all propaganda. Before coming to Nigeria, he only jumped for Britain once! A junior championship a year after his high school in the US when he was 19. After that, they shelved him. His coming to Nigeria is his only hope to ressurect an already dead athletic career.

If he really loved Nigeria why didn't he come back when he was 20-28? Why? he kept hoping then that by some miracle Britain will remember him. But that didn't happen. His being here today is 100% selfish. He's not doing Nigeria a favor, Nigeria is doing him a favor with his dead career. Do your research people and quote me with pure facts!

Let's look at it this way.
Mike's mother dated a Nigerian (or any other national) that she met in England.
Unfortunately she got pregnant and the dude absconded before she could trace his ancestry.
That happens a lot in England. So what does she tell her son when he grows up?
The good thing was that she later married a Jamaican who accepted Mike as step son.
Does that deny Mike his Nigerian heritage.
I think this whole tirade is too crude and rather unfair to Mike, please let us drop it.
Mike's motive for suddenly remembering his Nigerian side is all I'm questioning. If he had opportunity to live his dreams in the UK, US and Jamaica will he be here today? No. He claims to be a UK athlete but his last known game was when he was 19, a low rate junior championship at that. After that he was shelved and he probably kept on hoping that he be remembered, that didn't happen. 9 years after he suddenly realised he could still claim relevancy by coming down to Nigeria, a dumping ground of failed athletes. His motive for claiming Nigeria citizenship is highly selfish.

Mike's father is not even Jamaican , some people are way too dumb , arguing with them reduces your IQ .

Mike's step father ,the man who married his mother after his parents broke up is a Jamaican .

I know English is hard but how can anyone be so dumb not to understand simple English grin.

The most amusing thing is that this hypocrite going around barking like a castrated dog has a favorite who was deported from the USA after going to jail for pushing drugs .

A degenerate who admitted to pimping his girlfriend to sugar daddies so he can purchase drugs.

Someone with the tattoo of Medusa a Gorgon on his back .
One of the biggest marks of occultism .

We shouldn't vote Mike because he left the UK like tiwa savage , Seyi shey etc to seek greener pastures in his home country but we should vote another drug peddler ...who left the USA to win . grin

Just hold your hand on your head and pray with me

" May stupidity depart from you "
Mike grew up with a Jamaican step father true , but that doesn't mean his biological father isn't also Jamaican. If his Biolological father was Nigerian, why would he say only his mother is Nigerian. Think! Who is his Nigerian father then? Where in Nigeria is he from? Who are Mike's relative from his father's side here in Nigeria. Has anybody till date acknowledged being related to his father's family here in Nigeria? We can go on and on.
