Evergreen123: if osogbo is better than Iwo n Ilesha, then u win.
But if not, then those places must be real dungeons.
Do u know there is no presentable area in osogbo?
you should be gas to death, jeez in achalla they still fetch water from stream and you say the place is better than osogbohuh the only tarred road in amabwia is the onitsha- Enugu expressway that pass through the place. yet in your mashed potatoes brains it is better than Oshogbo. fvckhead like you need to be sacrifice to appease the gods.

shymexx: I've never heard of the guy, and I'm always on the look out everywhere for naija-brits and naija-Americans who can rap. Been doing that since college days, and that was how I discovered Wale, Godwon, and some naija guy from Compton on hiphopgame way back in like 04/05. grin Chiddy of Chiddybang can also rap his ar.se off - probably the greatest Nigerian freestyler ever.

Heard of Phil Ade, Fem Fel, SAS Eurogang, and Bigz Flygerian? My boy Troopz used to be heavy when he was into rap back in the day.
nah, modey left the Queensland as a toddler, but he still breeze in the u.k on a reg.

Evergreen123: Amawbia and achalla are better than osogbo , dude.
Osogbo is just a rowdy village

oluamid: I absolutely agree. I think Modenine is the Nigerian hip hop artiste with the most material (my opinion though).
that is so truth.....

TyTymer: Lol. Keep waiting. Naija is not ready for mode9. Let him try his luck in America.

Music/RadioRe: Is Real Hip-hip/rap Facing Extinction In Nigeria? by anago18(m): 1:00pm On Jul 08, 2014
oluamid: Abi oo. Problem with most people is that cos the radio don't play most of his songs, they tend to think Modenine went down, while in truth, he never left. I'm eagerly awaiting the launch of Above Ground Level.
it will be do...pe as always, moreover if you follow Modey on twitter you will know he is forever busy, new mix tapes, singles and all that like every time.
Music/RadioRe: Is Real Hip-hip/rap Facing Extinction In Nigeria? by anago18(m): 12:59pm On Jul 08, 2014

Evergreen123: osogbo?
lack of exposure is dealing with u.
Do u know that osogbo was created same day as awka?
But today, osogbo looks so laid back and archaic with a large population of ppl who are poor and who can't speak English.
very dirty human beings.
let me give u pix
your stupidity is in terabytes, the same akwa with amabwia at akwa north LGA and achalla at akwa south LGA. you must be high on your own excreta.

shymexx: Heard mod9 on the BET Cypher, and he killed it. I honestly don't know the rest apart from the Vector guy, and he's garbage.
that why I said vector shahuh modey gat a new joint upside down featuring nnena. but a dose of elbow room by modenine will do wonders too. have you seen the book Jewish conspiracy ??.
Music/RadioRe: Is Real Hip-hip/rap Facing Extinction In Nigeria? by anago18(m): 12:18pm On Jul 08, 2014
oluamid: Well, rap, just as with everything else appeals to taste. you may like the "bling bling bubble gum wrap" kinda rap while someone else may like "real rap". Rap is subjective.

I love Modenine's brand of rap.

By the way, listen to Upside Down by modenine ft Nnena Omali, and tell us how you feel.
brotherly that joint is do....per than dope. as in the way he crafted the Nigerian problem into one verse is just way too amazing.
Music/RadioRe: Is Real Hip-hip/rap Facing Extinction In Nigeria? by anago18(m): 12:15pm On Jul 08, 2014
shymexx: Can someone please name all decent naij rappers?

I dunno man, the ones I've listened to don't even know what a 16 is...they don't use metaphors and similes...all they do is rhyme. And perhaps in M.I's case throw some vocabs in there. That's about it. Rap isn't just about rhyming. grin

I believe they all need to go study "The Art of Rap" and get back to the basics.
fam go get some dose of modenine, pheriouz, terry da rapman ,6 foot plus, overdose and maybe vector sha.

njokusboy: Same old overflogged, baseless argument.... The truth is as simple as ABC, NOT EVERYBODY IS INTERESTED IN CRACKING METAPHORS OR LISTENING TO PUNCHLINES.... Its the same way everyone aint interested in poetry... The animosity here is due to the fact that the makers and listeners of this genre of music are not willing to accept that other people do not share same interest.... Nd what is real rap/hip-hop, music is an art and real is relative.... I do not care what mode nine has to say, if I want words of wisdom, I'd pick a book... I can't just waste my time listening to a 10-20 track CD, with similar boring tune, drab choruses and verses with "words of wisdom"... I might just as well pick up a poem book.... Truth is, most of this artistes are not versatile, they don't go commercial because they cannot go commercial, its not because they don't want to... Let's face it, mode9 cannot sing to save his life... Versatile people like eminem, kendrick, nd MI (when he did safe, not now), have made nice tunes with sweet choruses whilst making sense at the same time.... The world is not static, change is a constant, one must adapt... Mode9 and the others may be more lyrical, but phyno, olamide etc are better musicians....
dem don come oooo, garbage load of crap. same intellectual slow Nigerians that won't even read long post on nairaland?? it will take most of y'all a lifetime to dechiper one verse of Modey or pherosiouz lines. and shut up modey gat loads of commercial stuffs but he just stick to the real game. Oga is a commercial stuff. ret@rds should stick with their dancing lines that reduce onces I.q. little wonder the nation is populated by slow mofos and bimbos.

Afam4eva: Maybe you mean American rap not real rap. This is Nigeria and the only thing that can take pre eminence is Nigerian rap. Thumbs up to Phyno, Illbliss, Olamide et al.
this is above you brother, rap is about written, punchlines and metaphor. those niggi in naij are just clowning around, go soak yourself in a cannibus and rakim album and you will wanna shoot those Nigerian clowns dead.

PoliticsRe: Jonathan's incredible acheivements - Cramjones by anago18(m): 1:27pm On Jul 07, 2014
deliberate impoverishment of citizenry, through not well thought policies.

the ban on importation of rice and the later rescinding of the policy, giving smugglers a field day and extra revenue for our neighbouring countries.

the automotive policy, why ban a product when at your best you can only produce 45,000 cars per annum while your yearly need is little above 1000000 cars per annum.

the service charge on electricity consumption is another rubbish thing, when in fact the power situation is epileptic.
