The Department of Petroleum Resources(DPR), in line with its regulatory mandate of ensuring sustainable development of Nigeria's oil and gas resources hereby invites applications from suitably qualified University/Polytechnic Graduates as well as experienced and skilled professionals to fill the underlisted vacancies:

1. Graduate Trainees
Successful applicants shall have the opportunity to develop specialist skills and professional competencies in oil/gas regulations and supervision during their career.

Requirements

Candidates For this category Should:

Possess B.Sc/BA/B.Pharm./HND in relevant Engineering and Management/Social Sciences With a minimum of Second Class Lower or Upper Credit.
Possess N.Y.S.C discharged/exemption certificate.
Not more than 30 years old by 31st December,2016.
Be computer literate.


2. Experienced Hire
Successful candidates shall have their career in the regulatory and monitoring of the dynamic Nigerian Oil and Gas industry with very bright prospects of attaining the peak of their profession.

Requirements

Candidates For this category Should:

Possess a minimum of 5 years' experience from the Oil and Gas industry or any other relevant experience.
Not more than 40 years old by 31st December,2016.
Possess NYSC discharged/exemption certificate.
Be computer literate.

This is quite an interesting article.

I have worked all my life a Logistics personnel especially in the Warehouse management sector.

It all started as a warehouse operative with Celtel Nigeria far back 2014. Worked in the commercial warehouse dealing with Recharge cards in millions before and after activation with billing department, phones, souvenirs and lots more. Quite an interesting career path to develop. I was moved from commercial warehouse to Engineering warehouse with higher responsibilities. This is more challenging and you have to manage over 1000 SKUs with different codes and have a structured Inbound and Outbound inventory management SAP software introduced.

This gave me a level of bigger responsibilities and I developed myself more in my career which gave me another level to move up in my career life. I moved from Airtel in 2008 to Ericsson as Warehouse Manager to manage warehousing operations and facility management. Wow!!! Bigger office with more challenges. Delivering quality service delivery in less than six months added additional responsibilities of distribution and haulage services. Damn! Managing drivers could be hectic. Bless God. I gave my best to my delegated KPI.

From Ericsson, I moved to GMT to DHL and back in Ericsson.

I gave God the glory today. I have a registered company in Nigeria today rendering warehouse management services to Multi Nationals. It's quite challenging getting contracts but with faith and doggedness in your path to success, we at Paragon Logistics are on top of the game always.

Hello NL Fam, please i need opinions about the NPS, is it a viable commission? What's their entry level salary for Bsc holders, is there any merits or demerits one should know of before joining? Does the "prison" tag cause one any stigma in the society? Is it better than Civil defence? My family was offered a slot and my parents want my sister to accept it but we have no prior knowledge about the NPS commission. Please your views would be highly appreciated.oh! Its a slot tin?
