Hello everyone. I tried doing some keyword research and all I kept seeing was audio books and paperbacks. Some keywords even reported "no books found". I suspect it has something to do with my location being set to Nigeria. Please advise.

You did not do it well. Go to your amazon page, from the left hand side of the search bar, click on the small. Arrow there. Select kindle store. If for instance you are writing a book on fishing, type the word fishing gradually from letter f then I the s then h then I then n then g. As you type it, you will see the long list that Amazon will suggest to you. After picking them up, then type fishing a, then fishing B C, D, E, F, to Z. Pick more keywords. After that, pick the keywords, type it in the search and hit enter. See the fist books that appear in the search bar. After doing that, then see that the first 20 books have keywords of at least best seller rank of 20,000—30,000 or even 40,000. That is a good key words to write on. The lesser the bestseller rank, the good the key words.

There appears to be nothing wrong with your work. The cover is great. I recommend that you worke on your keywords. Else, keep writing more books because not all of your books will sell.

Not all of your books will sell. If they don't sell, you can do the following, either you write other books, or change the keywords of your book. Give me the link of your book let me see.

Sorry for the delayed response, I tried it at some point in time and noticed that they said I will have to remove my book from createspace and that the process once done, cannot be reverse. Even with their promises of 60% royalty and so on, it never enticed me in any way. But you can try it and see.

I have tried it too. Though they claim a return of 60%, I was discouraged when they said that you have to removed the copy of your book on creatspace and the process can not be reversed. I prefer creastpace alone and nothing more.

Go to "Report" click on "prior month royalties" down load the excel report for January and do ur calculations. If there is any discrepancy, click on the contact us button and lay ur complain, it would be rectified.

Amazon is a place where you can publish almost about anything. In the past, when Amazon Customers could take just about anything, you will sell a lot of copies with that. However, right now, the more pages you have, the better people feel that they will get quality from your content. My friend, add this your work a little to 50 pages that is about 25 pages of Microsoft document.

On the issue of table of content, it is entirely a must have. But for dedication, and acknowledgement, to me, they are completely useless. Since they present customers from handing a good feel of your sample copies. If you want more on table of content, then read more on my tips on this thread on how to use your table Of contents to sell more books. Check page 70 upwards.

Amazon pays $0.0052 per page read. So 1692 would be $8.80. Minus 30 percent tax which is $2.64. So the total royalty accrued to you is $6.16. I hope u get the calculation.

Then the book later picked up sales and sold 4 copies on createspace. I made over 20 plus USD on that title alone for paper back. That is small, but at at least, it added to my sales and I made more money from it. That book, I believe will pick up sales and soon, it will be selling 20-30 copies on creastpace.

Secondly, bros 12345, for a book that has Kenp read of 1692, how much will l that amount to in payment? Thanks sir..

The KENP read is added to your main sales income and paid to you. For example, my direct US income for Jan was 1679, but I got paid 1897. I believe the added difference was the KENP read from the US for that month. Same applies for other markets

But I don't think I was paid for my Kenp read for the month of January. Because when I did my calculations, I noticed that It was the exact amount of money which I made that I was paid. May be I should contact support Centre or customer care.

Hello bros 12345, when does Amazon pays for Kenp read. I noticed that they paid me for sales in the month of January but not for my Kenp read. I think also they did not pay me for sales recorded in other markets

Hahahaha, five books a month, that is a tall order. My problem is time. With work and other things on my hands, it is not really issue. Almost two books per month.

When I finish writing a book I proof read it as much as I can, then I stay away from it for 2 weeks and work on other titles. After the two weeks I come back to the book and proofread it and leave it for another one week. Then I publish it

Okay That is a very good concept sir. But if you do it like that, can one still meet the target of two books per month. I was proof reading three times, but I noticed that there are still errors in my work. So I though to slow down a bit and give more details to proof reading more than just rushing to publish the book on Kindle.

There's no way to find your book without using the search bar for now Until your book begins to sell.

Use the search bar, locate your book and then if the book has started selling, you should see its rank below. There you will also see its rank in the category. You can then click the category and see its lined up in the number that is it ranked.

That is partly true but not completely true. Once you have a paper, you can find your book using the search bar. The sale only determines the ranking of your book in the SEO

They can have that sample sent to their emails for for purposes of reading it. However, some authors rather filled that with a lot of preliminary things which are not important. Things like, dedication, acknowledgement, forward, preciously work by the same author and many other irrelevant things which will do their book no good. When the customers clicks on the book to hace a foretaste of it, he is rather bored by all these things and the chances of him feeling the book that will compel him to buy will be thrown away.


I will rather suggest that you compress all of that Into one page and move other things to the back. For instance, you can combine title, disclaimer and copyright into one page. If you do that, customers will be able to see at least your table of content and some parts of your book.
