Amazon Kindle and CreateSpace had changed my life. January gave me over $2500. This February has generated over $1,600, yet no new books since last year.

May God help us to succeed more than our imagination.

March is my month of repentance and publishing of at least 5 books.

Though, i have two books written and proofread since 2016. I just heard about PAYNEER and registered but still expecting my card to be delivered. But the question is,

1. How do i get my account number from payneer?
2. How do i fill in my account details when completing my registration on Amazon? please someone should be of help here.

Filling your form on Amazon is quite easy. The just follow the instructions there. Fill your real name and address in your books. And once you are done with that, then your tax information. Select Nigeria as your country and choose Nigeria does not have a tax great with the U. S. It is simple follow the instructions over there. Again, for the Payoneer, it has been long since I filled that form. May be someone can help you.

What about cover, I design covers for both createspace and Kindle with such touch of expertise. To say the least, I have grown. When it comes to keywords, my knowledge has increased like water. I can say now that many of my books are ranking on the first page of Amazon search, which in turn is boosting sales. I thank you sir, and may I say that only God will reward you.

Honestly, my kindle does better than my paper back, i have come to realize most Americans don't like the hardcopy of books. They are comfortable with softcopy in their devices and the kindle versions are cheaper. So i don't really concentrate on paper back that much. Though others are doing well with paper back. secondly, non of my books exceeds $2.99. The lower the price, the more the chances of sales coming in. Because whoever is buying doesn't feel like he or she is spending anything.

BOOK SIZE IN MEGABYTE

If the size of my book exceeds 9MB after converting it to PDF and letter .kpf, (which is the kindle version) i opt for 35% royalty sharing formula, (that is i take 35% from the book sale and amazon takes the rest). if it is less than 8mb, i opt for 75% royalty sharing formula.

This is because delivery fee is always a problem when your book is large (in MB and not pages). MB of your book increases when there are pictures embedded in it or you didn't compress the pdf file (Note: i always convert my books to pdf before converting it to kindle version, it helps with the book formatting). when the book is large, opt for 35% royalty so that at $2.99, you get $1.05 and amazon takes the rest. If you opt for 75% royalty, you will end up with less than $1.05 or nothing due to delivery fee. Amazon charge you for delivering a sold book to the purchaser's kindle device and the larger the book, the more the delivery fee. I have made that mistake before. I sold 12 copies of a book but no Royalty was displaying on the table, when i contacted them, i was told i was owning amazon some delivery fee and they kept deducting it from my other sales. i had to quickly change the royalty of that book to 35%. Very terrible experience i must say.

Keywords are very important for search engine optimization. People make the mistake of using one sylable in their key words, which not ideal. Use phrases, the way u type in a search engine when looking for an info. E.g. If I want to write keywords for say a book on learning how to play guitar, I use keywords like. - teach yourself to play guitar - guitar lessons for beginners in pdf, Best guitar players - Learn to play guitar for beginners - Best guitar ebooks - Step by step guide to play guitar. Not just typing for e.g Guitar - Guitar lesson etc

1. There was a day i went to bed with no sales, i was kinda depressed, only for me to wake up the next morning to discover i sold 10 books that morning alone and 800 KENP.

2. Was when i got my first 5 stars review with a very positive comment that attracted more sales.

I got to know about kindle from Nairaland a girl with the monica Ladywriter wrote an article on kindle publishing around 2014 and i gave it a shot. i published my first book early 2015, but no sale for 3 months, i just dumped the idea, only for me to log in around the March 2015 and discovered i made sales the previous months about $20 on amazon.com store, then i logged into my payoneer account and boom, i saw $16 plus some cent. To prove the money can be spent, i created an account on aliexpress.com and bought a USB Lamp ($3) and i was asked to submit evidence to show i owned the card. I took a pix of both sides of my Mastercard, blurred the Numbers leaving just the last 6 digits and a statement of my payoneer account i downloaded in PDF. Behold i was able to check-out and $3 was deducted from my payoneer account and my usb lamp was shipped to me. Men! since then, i haven't looked back. I write on virtually all topics i can research on. I have written books on drones, Content Management System, Cloud Computing, cooking, Musical Instruments etc. The truth is that "Do it yourself" books does very well on amazon. The romance niche is saturated. I write on niches that have less books and publications. I am also a graphic artist, so i design my book covers myself. On amazon kindle, a book is judged by both its cover and content. The more the books you have, the better their exposure and give out books for free as often as possible for 5 days, it helps expose your other books. I have never done paid advert though.

Reviews are good but content matters a lot. But if you don't have one, don't worry, you would still make sales. The content of your book will attract positive or negative reviews. Negative review(s) on any book is demoralizing as no one would want to buy such book. I have had some great deal of positive reviews as well as terrible ones on my books, but i don't allow it to dampen my mood. Again, purchase returns are annoying, when there is a verified purchase and you are jumping around only to discover the book has been returned and money refunded. But don't allow it slow you down, just keep moving. Amazon kindle is about patience, if you are patient, you will get to a point where you start getting royalties every month and it won't seem like they pay every 60 days because you are making reasonable sales daily and monthly.

I average $200 every month. I have a friend who average $500 from both amazon and blogging. He is an amazon partner. That is my target and i will quit my job and concentrate fully.

Note: You can't withdraw your payoneer funds using Nigerian ATM, it will get stuck. No Nigerian ATM, i repeat, No Nigerian ATM works with payoneer again. I will write an article on how you can withdraw your payoneer funds directly into your bank account within seconds as well as buy airtime of any network with your payoneer funds, but the drawback is that their exchange rate $1 - N375.

So the best option is still to look for someone who needs to carry out a transaction online and charge the person the parallel market rate, then pay with your card.

I hope this information helps. Pls pardon me for any typo or grammatical errors, i pay people to proofread my work before publishing. Proofreading is my major problem, i don't have that patience.

The average book that I have published with the smallest pages is 64, some 84 others more than that. I have a particular book with 174 pages. For me personally, the issue is not the number of pages but the quality of your content.

I only have 5 books on the system right now. My 6 book will be up this week. Besides, yes free promo is still effective if you add it with some form of eternal promotions. I mean like submitting your book to kdp free promotion site. It will greatly help. Also, have 6 books on creatspace.

Your details is important. It has been long I filled that form. But I don't think that they asked me for account number. Besides, which country did you say you are from when filling the form?

No, they won't add your local bank. They need your full details for their record.

Yes, Amazon converts the money you make in other markets whether from the Uk, Canada, Japan, German or any other market into dollars and that the equivalent you get deposited into your payoneer account. This process is automatic there is no setting for this.

My next post in how do you know that a particular keyword is selling? You will discover when you search out this keywords, there are many that will be there. But how do you determine which of them is actually being searched? You may pick a particular keyword and think that it will sell, however, that keyword might just be searched just 10 times every month. Next post, I will tell you something about knowing the keywords with the highest number of searches.


I will also tell you how to get keywords ideas when your book is sometimes finding it difficult to get a particular keywords.

Don't be Discouraged.


As a black man from Nigeria trying to make money from this business, challenfes abound in multides. Sales may not be the same every month. They will fluctuates. Some titles will sell and others will remain, magnetizing dust of the Amazon silence. Does that mean that you have failed, no. Not at all. Your books might be greater in content and quality than the best sellers in many markets, but however, those ones may continue to sell more than you. Just keep writing.

One thing you must do is learn from your mistakes. You may want to grow in quality and in content. Why did this book sold much even after my hard work in it? That is the first place to begin. You may critic yourself.

Next, never be tired of asking questions. Like I said and I will continue to say, we are all learning in this business and to grow, you just learn to ask questions about things you don't know. And when you do, you will begin to see improvements in your quality.

Again, hitting the bestseller list takes a lot of planning and in some cases, miracle. Miracle because there are books that might hit that list that your input was minimal and they will sell like a wild fire burning a very dry harmattan grass. Others, you might need to plan very well.

Upon publication of your Contents, you should try and make the hot new releases List. Every time you open Amazon niche, there are books on the right hand side of the page, which the first three will be displayed. They are the best hot new releases list. When your book hit that list, it is like a bestseller in that category. Because even when people want to check the No. 1 best selling book, your book is displayed along those other books at the right hand side. The more people see your book, the more they will click on it. And the eventually purchase it. To make the No. 1 OR 2 OR 3 on the Hot New Release List, just sell one copy a day. After Thirty days, your book will be removed from that hot New Releases List. So make the most of it.

Advertising your books is also an indispensable tool for driving sales. Before your free promotion begins, Google, Kindle free ebooks promotion. Some of them are free, others are paid for them to feature your books. Then submit your books to them and they will send it to their members. They will increase your changes of downloads which will impact massively on your ranking when the book changed to paid ranking.


I made a post on ever green niches. I think it is important to know that these niches are key to constant flowing income. When you see a niche especially small niche that has no beginners book there and that niche is new in Amazon, invest in it. The reason why I say this is because I have seen a book while searching on Amazon last year on Paleo Diet for Beginners. That book has been changing in ranking. But I can assure you that it is always within the 1st 20 or 40. As at the time of this writing, the book is No. Bestseller in all categories. Why? Because when this niche was starting out in 2012 or so, the writer quickly wrote a book on beginners. It means that every person beginning the diet will always need his help at one point or the other.
