TV/Movies › Leon Murray : The Guy/voice Behind Big Brother Australia. by And9(op): 3:42pm On Nov 10, 2014*. Modified: 4:32pm On Nov 10, 2014 |
THIS IS BIG BROTHER! The man (men) behind the voice. Ever wanted to know more about the man (well, men) himself? It’s time to take a look at the people responsible for that sultry voice; this is Big Brother. There are three men responsible for the voice of Big Brother, though an unfortunately limited amount is known about the third, Peter Dempsey. However, this will not stop us from exploring the first and second in line, Leon Murray and Peter Cunningham. Listed on the 2013 ‘Crew Credit List‘ under the title ‘Deputy Big Brothers’, are these three voice-over professionals. Leon Murray is the ‘main’ Big Brother. He’s the man we all associate with that jovial, yet serious voice. Though, is he as serious as he seems? Well no, it turns out that Leon actually comes across as a pretty fun guy! Personifying the very definition of ‘voice-over’ artist, Leon Murray has had an array of well-known advertising roles; his works include the up-beat voice of the Eagle Boys ads, the always excited Dreamworld ad voice, and the also quite recent, Carzoos ad voiceover. I recognise every one of these television advertisements, and as someone who often ‘calls out’ actors/ voices from other works, I’m stunned that I was unable to pick this. In fact, you’d be hard pressed to find anyone who could have imagined these ads to have been voiced by our veteran Big Brother – the man is simply bursting with talent! This video includes a funny collection of his works that provides as an entertaining clip, in that he’s discussing his works with an annoyed Big Brother (yes, he’s talking to himself). It’s absolute brilliance; if you haven’t yet seen this video, you WILL be surprised. (Thank you to @Chesai70 for tweeting this my way). Big Brother’s voice is also used in a whole lot of television commercials for things like car sales and fast food. The ‘main’ Big Brother voice is provided by voice actor Leon Murray and his show reel has been uncovered on YouTube. In the video Leon is called the diary room where Big Brother (his own voice) questions him on his recent work. Big Brother points out that Leon’s advertising jobs sound nothing like Big Brother (to showcase Leon’s range). It appears the video was shot just before the season started, and ends hilariously with Leon having an argument with his own Big Brother voice. http://leesalittle.com/2013/10/05/this-is-big-brother-the-man-men-behind-the-voice/http://www.behindbigbrother.com/2012/10/big-brother-voices-a-whole-bunch-of-commercials/

datribune: I wonder why so many people ar blaming Tayo. Didn't they see when Tayo went to bed?. Tayo was already sleeping. Macky2 went & fetched d drum & was banging it on d head of a sleeping Tayo. Macky was wit Sipe & Goitse & he was trying to show dat he was macho & could disrespect Tayo. Why ar people not also focussing on d deliberate provocation? Nhlanhlah even planned to stab his drum when he was sleeping. How many times has 9ja been disrespected in d house & on dis site. Last time when Frankie disrespected us where were dis people who ar playing victim. all dis boils down to all d hate creationd by d gossips about him. d show has turned to a witch-hunt. I'm only watching because Tayo is still in dat house. Point blank... HATRED is all i see. Eventually a hole was put in his little talking drum ( gon gon) weeks back, hence he's packed it up in his bag. |

safarigirl: last year was Pokello a Zim socialite. Sulu brother of the Zam VP, Bev a video vixen, Melvin a GUS/Mr. Nigeria runner-up. Cleo, a famous rapper, Dillish and Maria, ex-beauty queens. Hakeem a model, Bassey an actor. Elikem a celeb tailor/actor, Feza a famous TZ musician, O'neal a DJ from Bots, Selly an ex-beauty queen, Angelo a dance instructor(that even tutored on MDA, a Nigerian family dance show). These people aren't even famous, they're nobodies compared to the set last year, only Macky2 is famous here cuz I didn't know Tayo or Lillian before this show. The problem with the show is that they brought people who've watched the show too much and know the workings so much that they're playing TOO safe. Butterphly said Tayo would never win even if fans love him, why? Cuz she knows the game is regional having studied under Pokello so the likes of she and Macky2 can sleep all day knowing SADC got them True story... |

mztubsy: Hello house, this is my first comment here since we wrote the aptitute test @ eko hotels lagos.I must say that our hopes has been raised for too long, but its actually worth the wait.....let me add that some morons on this thread should stop confusing ppl with their endless rumours that some ppl have started working.its quite sad and pathetic that we cannot stand together as a support system for one another even when the situation @ hand is blurry.some ppl don't have acess to first hand information and all they rely on is what they read so do the needful and STFU!....my dad was with the gm human resources today and what he was told was that the list has been compiled and that ppl wud start getting sms from npa concerning their dates of interview as it wud be in batches....everyone's prayer shud be that their name shud be there rather than being a "kill joy" and discouraging ppl.the only real news is that its true that everytn has been politicised because everyone is bringing dr own list and slots......my own token, let us all be hopeful.my dad is an npa employee*dont ask me his position* and he has been keenly following this recruitment process from the word GO and all I have told you is a first-hand information.I would derive no joy in seeing anyone panicking or being paranoid.God wud do it.I wish everyone goodluck and SEE U @ THE TOP! Thanks for the info... |
