Politics / Re: Don’t Touch Sunday Igboho, Nnamdi Kanu Warns FG by andreaj5: 8:23pm On Feb 27, 2021
Kanu should come out kee u there. Anybody who still need kanu to come out physical is either senseless or childish. If he comes out he will be assassinated, am sure you will be happy. u r just simply foolish and childish. What have you done for your own tribe. Very soon Sunday will be taken out then you would understand that the only way to fight is with wisdom. Any group called the 'The Resistant' always fight from under ground. You see that in movie. Its strategic. The Northern Caliphate won't dear enter south of East because Kanu is constantly keeping the world abreast that is why the insecurity is only in the North for now
Politics / Re: Nasir Ado: Hausa Man Contesting For Councillor In Delta State (Photo) by andreaj5: 3:46pm On Feb 19, 2021
Yes anybody or religion can take up a political position in any state or country but any religion that considers other religion as infidel that must be killed i would not accept into political position in my state looking at history in some countries or state especially Turkey, France, Jos, Benue state etc. If you do not support Inter religious marriage as a religion to the point of killing, you don't have business or right demanding for political position in a state with another religion not yours, you will always end up with an political or religious agenda. Well, from inception a typical Hausa man has always been after Power through religion, the typical Ibo man has always been after power through Business and the typical Yoruba man has always been after power through Education, people should be accepted or rejected based on their agenda. The Ibo man's dominance in business in the West or North for example has no negative impact, religious or political undertonne, i mean we see a lot of Hausa or Yoruba man also venturing and doing pretty well in spare part, Real Estate business etc Do not mention free state or country who's democratic system of government supports any religion or culture. The Man contesting for counsellorship in Delta, what is your general cultural, religious and political perspective in life?

I've applied already! But I must let you all know that the application itself is like writing an exam with a computer based knowledge. So if you're not the smart ICT type, you just might experience difficulties trying to apply. It should be an exciting and non-profit making experience. They promise to make life comfortable as you discharge a community development service to your area of deployment which is outside your country of origin, monthly stipends will be paid but it's just to make you feel comfortable and not ostentatious. Like it implies, it's a volunteering scheme, and only young Africans with strong pan-African motives can well fit in. Which you all best of lucks.

Hello,

Thanks for your post. I need your help. I am trying to write my application especially motivation letter and I want to get it right. Can you guide me. Can you show me a sample of your motivation letter and cover letter and perhaps CV. Thanks

]This year is my AU YVC year no doubt!

I applied last year, I wasn't selected but was given a feedback from them of how my application was 90% okay except the little omission which made my application not to be selected, this is one area Nigerian recruiters need to upgrade to, giving recruitment feedback. It would help candidates a lot.

Now with the feedback I got last year, my application this year is 100% on point by Gods grace.

For those who applied last year, you'd agree that the application process is a little different, but easier and if you'd find it quite of a free low kind of thing when you import last years' application insights.

AU YVC program is a very transparent process, and I commend them a lot for their professionalism over the years I have followed them.

I can't wait for August 15th 2017 for that congratulatory success mail.

Let the count down begin! 24 days to go

Bros plz can u give us more hint on this info.... What type of recommendation letter did u use?

Hi, can I have your number to ask for your assistance as the 31st deadline is fast approaching and I have not started applying. I like to see your sample letters including CV, cover letter and others. Kindly text me your number here 08063925717. Thanks a mil

Olowozain:
How It Works
- Aspiring volunteers who fulfill all requirements should fill out the online application form and upload their CV.
- Organizations wishing to deploy youth volunteers are required to fill out the online request form . Alternatively, organizations can send their request to youth@africa-union.org
- Screening: Volunteer Applications and Volunteer Requests would now be screened for completeness through a vigorous and transparent process. Candidates whose application was not convincing, would be eliminated and notified. Volunteers are permitted to reapply a second time.
- Matching: Applications of nominated volunteer candidates are matched with available vacancies according to the criteria specified by the requesting organization.
- Selection: The AU-YVC would send multiple CVs (4-cool of matched volunteers to requesting organization to make final selection.
- Volunteer Training: Prior to their deployment volunteers would be trained for a period of 2 to 3 weeks by the AU-YVC unit to enhance volunteers professional, interpersonal and life skills. The training aims to prepare volunteers for their country of deployment and/or enhance their capacity.
- Deployment: selected volunteers would now sign a tri-partite agreement with their host organization and the AUC which shall guide the terms of deployment.
- Progress Assessment: volunteers are expected to provide regular reports on their activities and address challenges to the AU-YVC unit.

Hi Olowozain
I need to reach you. Can you text me your number here 08063925717 so I can call you asap as the 31st deadline for submission is fast approaching on me. Thanks a lot

I sent a mail to you.
Here is the content

Dear Bolu.
How are you doing today? I want to begin my application for AU YVC 2018 today as I just heard about it recently and just got my passport.

As deadline is fast approaching and I might be running out of time, I need your support as I have read through your posts on nairaland and value your experience.

Can you help me with the following in order to meet up with time?
Content of your own or any sample AU-YVC
- Recommendation letter
- Cover letter
- Motivation letter
- Application letter
- CV
And perhaps any other document required

Looking at yours as a guide will help me write my own without error and meet up with time.

I understand if you might not be comfortable disclosing such information to a stranger but I like to establish a good rapport and friendship with you before, during and after my engagement with AU-YVC organisation
I have worked with 3 different NGOs.
During my youth service, I got a certificate of commendation from Kogi state where I served in 2011 for outstanding service to the state. I did many selfless projects from training, seminar to empowerment both secondary school, polytechnic, general hospital to fellow Corp members who where all beneficiaries to my CSR.

I have had 6 years working experience. Worked with about 3 organisations with good working experience from HOD, manager(IT& project), consultant(IT&Business) to professional skill position. I have had to manage people more in my work experience than execute jobs

Islam for Muslims / Re: Meat Inscribed With "Allah" In Arabic, Seen In UI by andreaj5: 12:53pm On Mar 03, 2013
otele: No disrespect to Islam, but my fellow Nigerians, pls explain to me, why, of all the problems in Nigeria, the killings, unemployment, hunger, poverty bombings etc, the only miracle our nairaland Muslims and nairaland moderators could identify to be celebrated on front page is a piece of meat? embarassed

Is there any religious or spiritual or even significantly materialistic importance of meat with an inscription?

Because methinks that meat won't stop the killings, create jobs, or reduce poverty. It will reduce hunger for one hungry steak or suya lover. Nothing more.

Someone explain.

This is not meant to insult any religion. Just a question for more knowledge.

Islam for Muslims / Re: Meat Inscribed With "Allah" In Arabic, Seen In UI by andreaj5: 3:33pm On Mar 02, 2013
Look, everybody is judged based on what he or she is dogmatic about even though some do so by inheritance or by personal conviction or by signs/miracle. In Christianity for instance, being a catholic is most times by inheritance. some Catholics faithfuls convert to become Pentecostal by either personal conviction or by the miracle they see or experience in the Pentecostal system. At this point, i think its a little bit out of line if not lame to argue superiority of one religion over another based on signs or miracle. if it were based on miracle, then Islam is still far behind. it should be based more on love and peace which should be a common goal for every religion and based that, one can tag a religion or evangelize for conversion. but you can not tell better of the supposed rival religion if you have not been in, so shut your mouth.to respond to the contention, Christians and Muslims alike, although especially Muslims should not use irrelevant miracles here and there to preach conversion. what is more relevant is making the blind see, commanding the crippled to walk and we are in business. besides, don't be deceived,if you believe there are evil forces out there with powers, then some where in your believe, also believe that they perform miracles, not to help you, whether christian or Muslim or Hindu and etc but to confuse you.having said that, both Islam and Christianity are both wonderful religion and people should stop the irrelevant superiority test period!
