No updates from the party? |
SailorXY: That's cuz the market is insanely overpriced & Man Utd don't have such luxury terms to offer @ the moment with the debt still dangling around Glazers' neck. It will soon pass tho, as long as we can manage to stay relevant in European footballSure the prices of players are a bit inflated at the moment, but I still think there's more to our failure in the transfer market than that. There's something wrong somewhere. This is the same market we bought Van Persie and Kagawa (two top players) from 12 months ago, without all these drama of rejected bids. It probably may have something to do with our new chief executive. |
adaobi123: Manchester UnitedThe best club In the world, right there. |
montelik: Finally smart moves. Grab De Rossi at a discount and then scout, identify and go in for the main targets next summer if Tom C and co haven't stepped up enough. Any player we try to buy now, we will have to pay an insane premium.Roma rejected our big... Our bids are being rejected left, right, and Centre, I am starting to get really confused. |
ighoosagie: best players ranking dis season wud bAnd Fat Lampard lol |
ighoosagie: hazard d best in d word dis seasonYou are having a laugh lol |
79 min: Javi Matinez comes back on, at first hopping, then running. Chelsea have a corner and Lampard expertly after wasting a few sticks it slam bang on David Luiz's forehead for a glancing flick to the header beast Ivanovic who powers it close but Neuer keeps him out. |
possibilita: she answer ya question no mean say make you come toast her here ohLol. I know her from another thread. |
... |
sexytabhi: Franck RiberyOkay thanks. Didn't know you were into football too. ![]() |
69 min: Chelsea have had the chances on the break, Hazrad scuffing his shot when he'd got behind the centre-backs and then Ramires working the ball back towards the middle of the goal and trying to bend it in with his left foot but his shot was blocked. |
Okay it's Ribéry |
Who scored for Bayern? |
coogar: even jack wilshere went on loan.....If you followed Januzaj in the reserve and pre-season you would know he is a gem. |
coogar: janujaz & lingard must go on loan to break into the first team squad. welbeck, cleverley and even fabio(after a CL final start) went on loan. you just don't push players from the academy into the first team. they need hands-on experience in a mid-table team to hone their skills.Scholes, Giggs, Messi, Rafael etc (just to name a few) didn't go on loan to hone their skill... While the likes of Fabio, Macheda, I can name 20 more that went on loan, without achieving anything. If you have the skill set, you'll succeed regardless of loans. I see Januzaj as a player who is ready to make that step up to the first team. |
coogar: do you know who & who are going to be injured this season already? this is why you stock players otherwise everyone would just have 14-16 players in their squad and get on with it.That's why I agreed with you about having a large squad. two good players per position with the support of younger players in case of Injuries would do., that way the coach would be able to give players like Januzaj and Lingard a chance to develop. Ozil isn't needed. Adding him to a squad that already boast the likes of Rooney, Kagawa fighting for the same position won't be a good idea. |
coogar: take your pick....solskjaer retired very early that season, Saha was injured for the most part of the season. So in reality we had only 3 forwards. ( Tevez, Rooney and Ronaldo) Scholes was injured for most of the first half of the season. Fletcher didn't play much and he was unhappy, even wanted to move to Celtic. Oshea is defender. Gibson was still a teenager in the reserve team. So in reality we had 4 central midfielders(Scholes, Hargreaves, Anderson and, carrick) |
coogar: if ozil can sit on the bench in madrid then he would sit on the bench here. one thing is sure though, he would play more games here than he would get to play in madrid. We kept them happy by not having 3-4 world class players in a single position. That's why we were able to give all our players game time. And still some players like Fletcher and Pique still complained about their lack of game time and wanted to leave. |
I agree 4231 is the fashionable formation right now, but Teams still plays 442/4411 maybe not in the orthodox way, but they still do. Manchester United is not a diamond team (4231) although we use it too for some games , along with 451, but it is not our main formation.... . Bayern Munich is another team that played 442/4411 last season :Read here www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2319554/Gary-Neville-Germany-fashion-England-forget-football-identity.html It is good to have a big squad of players. But how do you intend to keep all these world class players happy?. Ozil won't come to United to sit on the bench. It would be stupid to keep Kagawa(a player that was named the best player In German league and nominated for Balloon d'Or) on the bench to rot, likewise Rooney. These aren't young unknown players that are ready to bide their time on the bench. You either play them regularly or move them on. -How many of those players do Chelsea and Man City actually play? Besides United isn't owned by a billionaire that can afford to buy players with gigantic wages only to keep them on the bench. |
I would categorize Ozil as a luxury signing. We can do without him. Our priority should be strengthening of the central midfield with proper central midfield players in the mould of Schweinsteiger, DE Rossi etc |
coogar: please, forget giggs & janujaz this season. We play 442 or should I say 4411 with Rooney playing as a withdrawn striker. (not all the time, but quite a lot) Even without Januzaj and Giggs, we still have Ashley Young who can also play behind the striker. He played there for Villa sometimes and has also played there for United a few times . My take is that we need to sell one of our forwards to accommodate Ozil. |
coogar: moyes is a goat.....We will lack width if we put out a team like this. Our fullbacks will be exposed too. |
coogar: he lacks the defensive awareness and work rate? the same position that has been filled by giggs, rooney, rafael, etc? is ozil not an upgrade of those players in the central midfield?Yes Ozil can do a job on the left of a three man attack, but how often do United play a 433 formation?. We often play 442 and 451sh formations, which means if we had him, he will have to play as a No10 (his best position) behind VPersie, which is already stock btw with players like (Kagawa, Rooney and Januzaj) or be given a free role where he can come in from the right or left in a 451 or 4231 diamond, depending on his starting position . He cannot play a natural winger in our regular 442 formation. And I repeat, he cannot play as a central midfielder (sure he can do a job there, but that's about it). What happens when Giggs plays as a central midfielder for us most of the time? We get bullied and overran In midfield. Would you really want that to continue by playing Ozil there? |
coogar: ozil is very dangerous from the left - he can be a great weapon to use when young falters. i want nani & zaha on the right. valencia is finished. moyes should move him along.Man United do not need Ozil while they still have Kagawa and Ronney on their books. Ozil is neither a winger nor a central midfielder, he can't play In a midfield 2, unless you want our midfield to get overrun by every tom, dick and Harry. he lacks the defensive awareness and work rate to succeed there. . . Besides, I'll prefer Moyes gives young Januzej(spelling) a chance to develop, he is one hell of a talent, similar to Ozil, with the right coaching he will be our next big thing. |
Mr_TA: Hopefully we don't sell Kagawa. I want him to get more chances this year otherwise he'll leave this coming summer.Kagawa isn't going anywhere. I'm sure of that. The season only just begun, he will get his chance to prove himself. |
chrisley024: According to TMW, Nani is signing a five-year contract at Old Trafford despite rumours of a pre-deadline bid by Juventus. The Portuguese star reportedly agreed fresh terms a fortnight ago. This would be a really good news if it turns out to be true. At the moment, I consider Nani to be our best winger, a fresh start under Moyes could prove a masterstroke. |
elampiro: Ander Herrera Worth High Price Tag for Manchester UnitedOkay thanks. But still, I haven't seen anything concerning this bid in any reputable sports website. Maybe we'll learn more a about it as they day progresses. |
elampiro: United have made a bid of €30m for Athletic Bilbao's 24-year-old Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera . (via @desportescope)I'm not sure of this news, because I haven't seen it anywhere else. But if true, it'll be a welcomed addition, even though the price seem a little too much for a relatively unknown player. Like I told a guy, it's been six years since we bought a proper midfielder. And it's about time we bought another. at this point I will take anyone as long as he can do a decent job in the midfield. We are really short in that department. As of now we only have Carrick, Cleverly and Anderson. Anderson is still as inconsistent and Injury prone as ever. So we basically have only two central midfield player which is too few for a big aspiring Champions League winning club like United. In other news. Everton has rejected an improved £36m joint bid for Baines and Fellaini.. |
Kslib: lol..I skim over that thread as well. It was quite interesting. So tell us, who you are trying to woo there ![]() |
THE AMAKA: I modified my postOkay, I just realized that. I already opened a tab to reply your unmodified post, when I got a call. I didn't refresh before proceeding to reply after my call, hence why I quoted your unmodified post. |
Melvin's tweeted this a couple minutes ago. I guess This is his first tweet since the show started. https://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/m494/mecuryball/Screenshot_2013-08-28-15-38-35.png |
THE AMAKA: Of course! That's why i found it funny when people all of a sudden located their moral compass as if fornicators and adulterers haven't been bagging the money since, voted for by FEMALE voters who make up the majority of the voting populace in BBA. Reason i singled out Nigerians is that you would expect them to protect their own, but they'd do otherwise.Sure, ideally it would been expected.. But I think Beverly's case was worse in a way, because she already was threading on thin ice with a lot of Nigerian viewers. So Her advances towards Angelo was seen as an opportunity to throw her to the wolves. Which they did without hesitation. |
