Just check your local PO to confirm if it's there already, because they use to forget to call people for their package,
If not there, just extend your BP because to win dispute for that kind of issue isn't gonna easy.

The seller ratings were good. Most ppl comment fast shipping.
But does it matter since it's still ae standard shipping. Does the delivery depends on each seller? .coz I don't understand why some orders comes late and some in matter of weeks

AE standard shipping is preferable and i always use it,

Let me give a simple explanations,

Sometimes, order delayed for many reasons, it might be currier issue, for example if they don't have much items to dispatch to Nigeria at the time you ordered, they will have to wait for more people to order and handover to them, but if you're lucky enough to Order when the shipping company almost ready to dispatch or the time scheduled to be dispatch is near, then you will receive your package in no time, I've received a package from AE in just 12 days before and some order received after 30 to 60 days with the same AE shipping so that's why i said earlier that it doesn't matter and also it do make difference,

Another big reason is our Nigeria Post office people, most especially the sorting centre in Lagos, they may delay items for more than 30 days before sending to the local PO

My fear now is not even to ship from China to Nigeria, but the real fear is how the nipost bring my package to my local PO.
Also do consider ordering your items during business day, like from Monday to Thursday, not really compulsory as you can order at anytime any day even in the midnight but i have my reasons,

As it is now, i will suggest or advise to place order only if you could wait until anytime it comes because nobody knows, AE is something else now,
Just place your order and forget about it for a while and don't expect it any time soon and who knows, you may receive your package even faster than expected.

It depends on what you ordered, the store you ordered from and the shipping company/currier you used and also your luck, because in spite of Covid19 i received some if my orders in just 17 days but some took up 90 days, so it's unpredictable, most especially if you order Xiaomi phones and some other items.

You're safe bro, most of my phones order use to be declared as phones parts, digital cameras, birthday gift and so on, sellers are doing this to help the buyers reduce the stress of receiving the package and the custom issues and also not to pay extra fee while receiving the package,

Some sellers do tell the buyer that they will declare the order as a gift in other to help them and also to avoid the issue of dispute.

The probability of you not seeing it at all after the buyer protection time elapse is far greater.

That's exactly why i asked, i ordered some Asus phones and iPhone late last year and early this year and all delivered in less than 30 days but the Xiaomi's phones ordered took almost 3 months before getting here, ordering phones from Aliexpress are getting boring these days because one has to wait till eternity before getting the order.

I returned a phone back to the seller once in 2015 via NIPOST and the seller received it after 17 days and he sent back the new one which i received after 22 days.

NIPOST was fast in shipping out the items but i don't know for now.

If you order for a mobile phone, either Android or iphone, Chat with your seller to declare your items as a gift or phones part instead of mobile phone to make the processing of your order faster and safe you from additional charges
This has been helping me as most of my orders are mobile phones and accessories because i do resell

To be honest he didn’t give me the condition. He asked me whether I had an agent and I said No. then he said he could ship for me to make it faster. Upon enquiry from shipping agents it seems they just want to take all the profits from the goods. There mouths are unbelievably wide. So he said he could ship for me. I also enquired from clearing agents in Nigeria assuming the seller ships for me and the rate to clear the goods doesn’t seem too high at least compared to the amount shipping agents are calling to ship from China and clear the goods in Nigeria.

Then you're good to go.
It's true that some agents mouth too wide, they charge higher amount while some are not like that, but it's preferable to ship directly from the seller if you're shipping little or less Quantity.

I would suggest if you can consider other sellers because of the condition he gave you, first of all the shipping time is too long and clearing it by yourself, that means you will have to pay a lot of money for it, though sometimes it will be a little amount but who knows?

Some People do have one problem or the other with direct shipping while shopping on Alibaba or even Amazon and that's why it's good to make use of a trusted chinese agent,
You will only pay the seller and give him your agent's address, then he'll confirm and ship it, your agent will then do the necessary stuff to declare your items and send it to you.
It makes shipping faster and zero worries also without paying additional charges when it get here
But if you can't do that then you may go for direct shipping as he told you and Wait for it, but as for me I always scared of clearing stuff myself here because of the cost
It have happened to me once and i plaid more than what I expected

What to do now; search for different verified sellers with the same product and make enquiry
Then compare the cost, clearing and the shipping duration.

I said something yesterday which some people may not believe but actually true, i collected some items today and 2 of them still dispatched to Overseas and not confirm in Nigeria yet but i received a call from PO this morning to come and collect them and now they are here
