twinskenny:How can I reach you boss? It seems all this companies don't have top tier panels at the moment. Hope that is not a negative sign concerning importation sha. |
Penuelseun:Thank you! |
Good morning bosses in the house, I’m looking to add 3 panels to my Canadian solar panels (5x550w), but I can’t find where to buy as Gennex and foauni don’t have any in stock. Please where can I buy original panels that’s within that wattage range? I don’t mind if it’s Jinko or JA panels. Thanks |
HeavenlyBang:Thanks boss, I've decided to focus only on upgrading my battery, and also realign my panels (may be buy more panel later in the future). Thanks for an eye opening insight. Much appreciated 👏 |
HeavenlyBang:Thanks a bunch for this insight boss. The main reason why I thought about upgrading is the battery pack. If I have a full day charge for instance, by morning (4am), I would be at around 10%, and tgats with the fact that I managed consumption by not putting on some security lights and some appliances. Imagine the sun not coming up until 11am the next day, or we are in a rainy season. The current battery bank is not enough for me, so I was thinking of upgrading the whole thing, because I thought I won't be able to add to my battery without upgrading to 48v, which auto require me to upgrade my inverter. That's my thought process in a nut shell. I attached a screenshot to show the rogue cell. If there is no load on it, there voltage are the same all through. An afterthought: I don't think I can have more than 3000w solar panel due to my inverters limit.

Hello bosses in the house, I need your help. I currently have a setup that has the specs below (being using it for 3 years): - SRNE 3.3kva hybrid inverter - 5kw DIY battery pack build 228ahx8 (one battery in the pack has a lower performance from the rest, its quick to charge to 3.65 when others will still be at 3.38 and also quick to discharge to 2.5 when others are still at 3.2, thereby tripping the bms). Also, if I'm charging, and my panels is supplying too much amps (45amps, around 1.2kw), that unfortunate battery quickly jumps to 3.65 (sot is still at 70%), so I had to set my charging amps so low, at the expense of my battery not fully charged by the end of the day. Although I didn't top balance the batteries when I coupled them back then. - 5x550w Canadian solar panel. This is also not giving its optimum performance, highest 1.5kw at peak sunlight and dropped to 300-500w when its around 4pm. The issue for this i think is that 2 panels was installed in one part of the roof, 3 was installed on another part, which I realized later that this kind of setup will affect yield. All the panels should have been installed at the same side of the roof. My budget to upgrade my system to 48v is 1m I'm thinking may be 6kw hybrid inverter (my 3.3kva srne has never had any hiccups), 10kw battery pack. I'm hoping there is a way I could fix the one battery issue and just buy more 5kw to the pack to convert it to 48v, Or buy a new pack while put the current one for sale. After a brief research, the prices I'm seeing for srne 6kw 48v is hot! I don't know if growatts performance can rival srne as its prices on faouni are making sense. Please kindly advise me appropriately. Thank you |
Mrreed:Thank you, I will check it out |
Mrreed:Thank you so much for this insight, really appreciate it. Sorry to bother you further, Is the Cworth batteries coupled with bms already? I would prefer a coupled lifepo4 ready to use battery for him as he's not a DIY person. |
I have a neighbour who is interested in solar because he saw how reliable my own system is, problem is that he has a lean budget (1.1m). @valto and other gurus in the house, can his budget setup a reliable 12v system with a lifepo4 battery+hybrid inverter+reasonably sized solar panels? What would you recommend? My setup is a 24v system, and he can't afford that. Thank you |
iykepromotions:Thanks 👍🏽 |
iykepromotions:Hello Boss, is this domain a good name that i should renew: colorslot.com ? I don't know if i should renew as the renewal fee is $13. Thank you |
Good afternoon bosses, hope business is going fine. I registered the below names last year after training, and I only outsourced once, but didn't have much time for domaining again as I'm occupied with some other hustle. Below are the names: bostonkitchenremodeling/king chicagogarageconstruction/king lasvegascraneservices/king richmondcardetailing/king I don't plan to renew them as I do not have the fund nor time to outsource, is there a way I could put them up for sale like a bundle for a change? If not, whoever is interested should look out for them... Thanks |

Maycher:Your location and how to contact you? |
ojeysky:Can this go for 180k? |
swagifted:3.3kva |
TechGeek777:1 - It was because of financial constraints at the time. 2 - I am not sure, but I think he did. |
Mjolnir:I can't remember the voc... I bought it from Techland solar. So far, I've gotten 1.7kw instantenous harvest (not as much as i was expecting), but I made a mistake of telling my installer to split the panels at different side of the roofs (2 at the front and 3 by the side) I later read this could affect yield because of diff temperature and lighting... I don't know if I've used a separate mppt, I would be getting more yield... however, I'm satisfied with the current yield because it cover my needs at the moment. I have no source to see what my daily harvest is.. |
TechGeek777:Is this your model -> HF2430S80-H? Yes What's the No Load Power Consumption? Approximately 45w |
TechGeek777:My battery is a Lifepo4, I do connect fridge and freezer while pumping at noon. My setup is 24v. 5*550w Canadian solar panels, and my battery is 228ah (24v pack) lithium. I didn't do the connections myself, I have a close relative installer who did that. But I believe he connected earthing wire to the inverter, and it's the one made for the mains (even though I'm not connected to mains anymore, I'm fully offgrid). |
TechGeek777:Hi boss, the inverter is working great. No issue whatsoever. I'm using it to power my freezer and fridge (not inverters ones), 0.75 interdab submersible pump (during the day), lighting, fans, laptop and other small stuffs. However, I haven't gone over 50% load capacity yet since I've gotten it.

I boyght 2 mi band 7 from anonymousey, and he delivers. I also like his customers service as he constantly helped track the package till it got to me. Kudos! |
DOVgadgets:I just got one too from @ceenachi, he has a great customer service and went out of his way to deliver the headphone to me... The headphone sounds good as well and I like the packaging. |
samir101ng:Thank you so much for the in depth explanation... Fully comprehend it now. Stay blessed |
samir101ng:After in depth research, I've gone for the JBD. I realise I could just ask the JBD CS on aliexpress questions I might have bothering the bms installation. ![]() Total ordering cost = $84 |
samir101ng:Thank you boss. This Jiabaida (JBD) BMS looks complex (but interesting) to me compared to Daly. What's really confusing is the number of wires that came with it. The Daly for example came with the right amount of cable mouth (8s = 8 pieces of cable to attach to the battery) which seems pretty straightforward. I am expecting a 24v battery setup which will use a BMS 8s, where will the rest of the wires go assuming I'm using a JDB BMS? I have attached a screenshot of the wire that I'm referring to. Additionally, does the balancer that comes with the JBD means I won't need to worry about my Cells not having a balanced charge out of the box, meaning that once I use JBD bms, it will balance them automatically, and I won't have to worry about looking to balance the cells before setting them up? Kindly enlighten me on these... Thanks! Edited: Also boss, from the little research I've carried out, I want to ask if it's necessary to top balance the lifepo4 cells when you buy them from 3.2v to let's say 3.5-3.6v? Would the output performance became worse overtime if I didn't? Because I noticed that to top balance a battery, you need a power source that needs to run for hours (if not days depending on the cell capacity you have), set to a certain amps, and I noticed that this needs to be done by someone that knows what they are doing in order not to fry the battery by overcharging them. Some videos I watched even claimed that the active top balancer that comes with bms is not entirely reliable... @ojesky @valto Kindly help share your thoughts on this. Thanks

samir101ng:Hi boss, is this BMS brand okay? I'm planning to buy all this small stuffs before getting the panels next month.
|
samir101ng:Just seeing this... Thanks |
samir101ng:Thank you for all the great insights you listed above boss, I really appreciate them. Concerning the panels, I couldn't find any official contact info about the Yingli distributors online when I use Google search. Kindly help share it if you have it. I want to ask them about the prices and see may be I will be buying the panels in small quanties of 2 pieces or more depending on my pocket each month. Thanks once again... |
ojeysky:It is according to the manual and the pdf doc I got. ***Nairaland is reducing the quality of the pictures***

ojeysky:The price is #235k for the 3.3kva, and I've gotten it today as I was made aware that the price will be going up soon anytime from tomorrow. thanks for the recommendation... @ samir101ng |
