ojeysky:Thank you boss, I'm planning to setup a 24v system with the batteries, so I know I will need to buy a new 24v inverter. The problem is that I don't know which brand of inverter to buy yet that is not too expensive but reliable (the Microtek I bought developed fault within 6 months of usage) and the capacity that's ideal for my setup... Also whether to buy inverter first or be buying panels one by one. Might I add that I currently have #200k to invest this month towards the project, so I want to invest it wisely... Thank you |
I hail and thank all the bosses in the house, and I appreciate the immense effort of everyone helping we the newbies. I currently have a 12v setup, which includes: 2 x 100ah lead acid 4 x 100w panels 12v 1050 microtek inverter (it doesn't charge with grid anymore, only from solar panels. It used to charge from both source when it was first installed last year Oct). Now, I planning to upgrade, and people around me said the battery is the first component that one needs to acquire, so I ordered 8 pieces of CATL130ah from Alibaba which I'm expecting to be delivered around Dec/January. I plan to be getting the other materials needed little by little because funds are not readily available. I need help on what to focus on getting next which is very important and can help with my system. And I also need the best setup recommendation to get the optimum output functionality from the batteries. I currently have a load of around 1020 watts: (1 TV, 1 fridge, 1 laptop, 1 ps4, 2 qasa rechargeable fans, 1 OX fan (rated 150w) and several light bulbs (security light included)) and I hope to get a freezer in the future. I'm planning to buy all components one by one (depending on my financial capability) and then call an installer to help with it as my knowledge is not enough to DIY at the moment. Thank you... |
Dozieson:I'm missing a lot then... |
SamuelLoch:Alright boss, thanks a lot. |
2special:Okay baba, I will do that ![]() |

Hello bosses in the house, my fuel pump went bad in February, and my rewire changed it. My rewire did not replace the entire fuel pump back then, just the main engine (that round iron silver thing). After the fix, I noticed that the car sometimes takes like 2 cranks before it starts, and I was told may be my battery is on the verge of giving up (that was the battery that was in the car when I bought it as tokunbo this Jan), alas, I bought a new battery, but the issue still persist once in a while. Fast forward to last month, the car jerked roughly, and lose acceleration while on speed. I called the rewire and he confirmed the fuel pump is gone as it doesn't supply fuel to the engine. Now he suggested that I shouldn't use the fuel pump that came with the car, that they are the short type and are quick to develop faults, instead I should get a tokunbo variant that is long which is for camry or some Toyota brand/model like that (I know mechanics and anyone with experience would understand what I'm trying to say). So I obliged, and he fixed that into the car, and the car now starts immediately I turn the ignition (so it was the fuel pump that causes those cranking all along and not the battery as the rewire guy suggested). My issue now is that I noticed the car consumes fuel than usual. I will attach a screenshot of my ODO meter before and after a roughly 24km distance. At the rate the car consumes fuel, I doubt I can average the 350-400km per 50+ ltrs(the full tank) that I see some people boast of with corolla 03-07. So I am here to table it to my ogas who might have a better understanding of what is going on.. Or may be I'm just been paranoid with the fuel consumption thing. I humbly await your suggestions. Thank you. cc GAZZUZZ

Collected my Redmi note 5(6gig/64gig) yesterday and custom charged me #4,190... Thank goodness the seller reduced the price on the package to $49 as they (customs) charged 10% of the cost of product which amounted to #25,000 after they use whatever exchange rate that suited them. Then came in VAT amd other charges too...
