This comes from the man who used to have her Medicine – Iyanya Iyanya was recently on The Tim Westwood Show where he freestyled with Kukere. Watch the video as Iyanya goes ragga with a mish-mash of ‘Kukere’ and ‘Your Waist’. Iyanya also remixes ‘Your Waist’ with a new quote ‘Yvonne Nelson I lost your medicine’ replacing Yvonne Nelson I have Your medicine. I don’t want your tears, no emotions. And then a tribute to his fans. Iyanya also drops a few bars… http://nairatunes.blog.com/2013/06/29/video-iyanya-subs-yvonne-nelson-on-tim-westwood-freestyle-%E2%80%93-yvonne-nelson-i-lost-your-medicine/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vtdf5Jy9_xc |
Seven family members including a retired Military Officer identified as Jacob (surname withheld), and two other persons, one of whom a boyfriend to the daughter of the military retiree were on Tuesday found dead in shocking circumstances in their bungalow in Ogbeiawse Quarters, Ime-Obi, Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State. Reports said the ugly incident put fear in the community quarters which became deserted when the news of the mysterious death of the entire family members filtered out. As it were, two of the deceased identified as Nkechi and Patience were reported to be biological daughters of the retired soldier while three other kids aged between 3 and 4 years were his grandchildren. The two others, eyewitness said, one of who was a boyfriend to the soldier’s daughter, was said to have visited his girlfriend on the fateful day and when it was night fall, he was persuaded against his will to pass the night there. Sources said unsuspecting residents of the quarters were informed by the decomposing bodies giving offensive odour and in search of where it was coming from discovered the bungalow filled with “big flies buzzing” all over. Although, there was no clue to the cause of their death, eyewitnesses said sympathizers who trooped into the premises screamed profusely in tears, while elders claimed the death of the family members was a taboo. A family member who do not want his name in print told our correspondent that one of the deceased had returned to Agbor penultimate Thursday for the one year anniversary of their mother’s death, adding that in the course of their discussion, she informed him of her intention to get married in November. But LEADERSHIP Friday checks revealed that on their arrival from Lagos, they purchased a generating set to supply them electricity during the activities marking their mother’s remembrance. According to our informed source, after the event on Saturday, they were said to have offered a thanksgiving on Sunday June 16, 2013, before the ugly incident. “The following day (Monday, June 17, 2013), nobody was seen in the house as the bungalow was locked throughout the day and this led to insinuations that the man (Obuteh) may have gone to Lagos with his Lagos-based daughters, alongside the grandchildren. But this was never to be as the unfolding event the following day proved otherwise”, the impeccable source said. When contacted, the Divisional Police Officer, Agbor Division, SP Dike Albert Uchechi, confirmed the incident, adding that investigation was on going to ascertain the real cause of their death. http://nairatunes..com/2013/06/generator-fumes-kill-7-family-members.html

According to Sarkodie, Ghanaian songstress Efya is angry at him for featuring Nigerian female musician Tiwa Savage on his track ‘Ordinary Love.’ Sarkodie in an interview said, Efya is angry because he wrote the song with Efya in mind to sing on it but to Efya’s dismay, Sarkodie featured someone different on the track being ‘Tiwa Savage’ “I had this song and the hook was ready waiting for Efya. I know Efya is going to kill me for this one because she was actually pissed off.” efya He further explained that he has several songs with Efya so he decided to feature someone else in the person of Tiwa Savage who didn’t fail him. “You know we’ve had lots of collaboration back-to-back and I wanted someone different. I’m on Tiwa’s album so it was just right for us to do another song on my album. Tiwa was there, I sent her the song and she laid good vocals on it which was also perfect,” he said. He added that “Tiwa has a large following in Nigeria, Ghana and everywhere and I think it is right to do a song with her.” Sarkodie is hopeful of winning awards with his tack ‘Ordinary Love’ which features Tiwa Savage from Nigeria. The music video directed by award-winning Ghanaian Director Geo, of Phamous Films according to ‘Obidi’ is a high budgeted video because he wants it get an international recognition

Chevron Corp. said Tuesday it wants to auction off the rights it has to two offshore oil fields near Nigeria's coast, the latest foreign oil company moving to divest from the country as regulatory uncertainty looms in the nation. The company identified the two blocks as shallow-water fields near the coast of Nigeria's Bayelsa state, which sits in the country's oil-rich Niger Delta. The company did not disclose what the estimated oil and gas reserves were for the fields, which include the Anyala, Ato North and Madu plays. Chevron described the sell-off as part of its Nigerian subsidiary's "continuous process of portfolio evaluation and business prioritization." The company offered no other details. The San Ramon, California-based oil company said it produced some 238,000 barrels of crude oil a day in 2012, one of the major foreign firms operating in Nigeria's oil industry. Its holdings also include interest in natural gas production in the country. Chevron has a 40 percent interest in the stakes up for auction, with the state-run Nigerian National Petroleum Corp. holding the majority 60 percent. The Nigerian government would have to approve any potential sell-off. The sites Chevron wants to sell off are near the offshore field where Chevron had a gas rig explode in January 2012, killing two workers. Oil money provides about 80 percent of Nigeria's government funding, which trickles down to states that have budgets greater than those of surrounding nations. But the corruption that pervades the nation often sees that money go into political leaders' pockets rather than toward government services. For years, Nigerian lawmakers have been debating passing the Petroleum Industry Bill, a sweeping overhaul of how Africa's most populous nation deals with oil revenues and foreign firms. Analysts say the bill, if passed, would sharply reduce the profits of foreign companies like Chevron, ExxonMobil Corp., Eni SpA, Royal Dutch Shell PLC and Total SA. While the bill remains under discussion, some firms have pulled back on announcing new projects. Others have begun selling off stakes in some fields. In November, Total announced it sold an offshore oil stake for $2.5 billion to Chinese state oil company Sinopec Corp. Shell, the dominant oil company in the country, also announced in June 2012 it would try to sell of stakes it had in three fields as well, as its management has suggested slowly pulling back from Nigeria. Nigeria produces more than 2 million barrels of oil a day and remains key to U.S. gasoline supplies. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/06/chevron-to-sell-oil-interests-in-nigeria/ http://nairatunes.blog.com/2013/06/12/chevron-to-auction-rights-to-2-nigeria-oil-blocks-as-it-moves-out-of-nigeria/
