flybiz08: Hello Nairalanders,
On the 2nd of December 2013, I ordered for one piece of Samsung Active Tab 3 from . I immediately got a confirmation mail both from Jumia.com.mg and from GlobalPay that the transaction was successful. It was then time to wait and according to their delivery terms and conditions, I was to get my product in 2 - 8 days. Delivery was meant to be in Enugu.
I did not hear from after the order number was verified. I started getting worried that no one had contacted me and on the 5th of December 2013, I decided to call on 01-46 04 400. To the biggest surprise of my life, my order had been cancelled the previous day being 4th December 2013. No notification was given and it was at this point that I began to question their credibility. I was told on the 5th when I made my first call that I would get my money in 2-3 business days and up till this moment being 10th of December 2013, I have not received anything from them. I have called over 5 times and even on one occasion, the support representative kept me on hold without getting back.
I humbly ask to refund my money. One of the representative whom I spoke with today being the 10th of December 2013 told me that my money has been sent since 4th December 2013 whereas other representatives especially Fred, that I have spoken to before now told me to be patient till my money is refunded to my account. I have been to my bank and I can confirm that I have not received any money. I have also not received any alert to that effect.
, please refund my money. I do not wish to escalate this beyond our dear forum. I am begging you. I do not regard you as a scam organization and in that vain, live up to your reputation by refunding my money.
Thank you.
I have purchased several items from jumia. But my style is choosing the 'pay on delivery' option. The reason is, I get to see the item, inspect it before I pay. You have nothing to worry about when you choose the pay on delivery option.

HealthRe: Rivers Has Highest HIV/AIDS Rate – FG by andymofia(m): 3:04pm On Dec 10, 2013
In my own opinion, this statistics is very correct.

1. Sex is like drinking beer in Rivers state, Port Harcourt in particular. It's everywhere, it's cheap and in many cases almost free. Girls as young as 16 years are already having sex. There are more clubs and brothels in GRA than there are offices. No recreational spots, just clubs, strip clubs, 'beer palours' and things like that.

2. The cheapest (and 'free' in some cases) sex you can get in Abuja is from Benue girls. The Benue people can insult me on this, but if you live in Abuja and you want to tell you self the truth, that is the fact. Majority of Abuja girls or big girls as they call themselves are sex worker (whether runs girl or prostitute). Sex is also everywhere in Abuja, just snap your fingers and it will arrive. Mind you, what goes in Abuja goes in Nassarawa state, you can shuttle both locations in minutes. Most sex workers in abuja come in from Nassarawa.

3. Kaduna is also notorious for sex workers, believe it or not, there are more sex worker in kaduna than there are in Lagos. They usually hide inside their big clothes.

3. As for Taraba state, I have no comments, never been there and don't even with to ever be there.

4. Please note that the statistics is based on states as a location and not on state as in state of origin. Therefore, a particular state can still be winning the race but in different locations.

5. HIV/AIDS is real, go for a test today if you have not done so, be faithful to your partner, if you must have sex with someone you don't know their status insist on using a condom. DO NOT discriminate against PLWHAs.

Oya, let the insults flow in...

I have tried it. I saw ghosts, several of them with seven heads, I even saw my great, great grand father whom I never met or even saw his picture, but immediately I saw him, I recognized him. In fact I always return there to look upside down and I see him when I do. I also saw floating demons and witches.

BusinessRe: Want To Sue Firstbank For Denying My Business Loan by andymofia(m): 1:09pm On Nov 29, 2013
tecboss: @heed101: Thanks for your smart contribution. I would like to address the points u raised.
(1)- My business is profitable and in 10years, I told The BM that our verifiable turnover in nigerian banks is about 1billion naira. My unity bank statement only for past 1year is 140million, Firstbank is about 20million, keystone-20million. We have about 18 persons employed at a given time.
(2)- I beg to disagree with u that the loan money is small, being their reason for not attending to it or that they cant afford to waste their time. Till tomorrow, banks do process loans of 200k or less to their customers. So why cant they do 2.7m? I do not understand what u mean by physical verification. You should know that its the customer that bears cost of bank search and verifications. (3) my company is credit worthy. A search with Credit Bureau will show that we are not indebted to any bank presently. This is not our first loan. Our last loan of 8million taken from Unity bank last November has been prematuredly liquidated b4 the due date.(5) we are lucky to find ourselves in a viable and lucrative business. Our company deals on Mobile phones, Laptops, mobile phone and computer accessories, components etc. And we are the current leaders where we are located. (6) My brother, am not unaware that character is a criteria for accessing facility. If it Is necessary to mention it, i have an impeccable character. The fact that i am considering the option of a legal action does not in any way signify or imply that my character is questionable. Rather, its an indication of my desire to seek a legal interpretion of what my rights are. The BDM, at Airport Rd, round about , Warri, told me that my request has not been brought to his table and he equally stated that its my right, not a privillege, as a customer to acces any type of loan facility. It is obvious that the Business Manager at the branch level is the one sitting on my loan application.

Please I need more intelligent contributions. Thanks
And you are looking for loan of N2.5mn? With over N100mn turnover? Haha bros. The weather is too hot for this kind of story.

Eyop: My brother forget all about the long stories. why am i very wrong? Like i said it's my own opinion and you are entitled to yours so you can continue to drive your Kia model by model i don't care. I am not even a fan of Korea cars so God will never give me what my heart doesn't desire. In terms of ASIA brand of cars, the Japanese still stands out for me. I am a fan of German rides and the Mercedes to be precised because they have a standard.

Create a thread and sample opinions from people about KIA or a Honda then we all we know who's wrong not to even mention the German brand of rides.
Lol, don't mind him jare. No be only kIA, na KAI
BusinessRe: Want To Sue Firstbank For Denying My Business Loan by andymofia(m): 11:37am On Nov 29, 2013
tecboss: I have a corporate account with First Bank. Last June 2013, I applied for an Operational Vehicle Loan of 2.7million naira. They said I would pay 30% equity which I consented. Thereafter, they requested for several documents: (1) 3 years financial statement (2) cash flow (3) statement of networth (4) Registered company documents and others. (5) 1 year Statement of Account
Initially, the Business Manager told me that it won't take more than 3weeks to get the loan processed. To my surprise, its taking over 5 months or so and nothing is done
And the worst part is that the Business Manager is neither picking my calls nor replying my sms's.

I further went to report to the Area Manager(Branch Development Manager-BDM). The BDM apologised to me and asked me to get back to the Business Manager. 3days after, the BM is yet to pick my calls nor reply my SMS.

I want to ask my lawyer to write them. When First Bank approached me for opening of account last year, I told them I can't run an account without any support to my business. They agreed to givee all the necessary support after running the account for 6months. Furthermore , it cost me money to provide some of the documents they requested for. I paid a chartered Accountant to prepare those documents.

I need your contributions. If I don't hear from them till on December 2,2013, I will have to commision my lawyer to write them.
If you have discussed this with your lawyer and he agrees with you on suing FBN, then you need a new lawyer. Did you read the Ts and Cs while applying for the loan? No bank can guarantee you getting a loan just because you applied for it. Even when you are qualified in all ramifications to get the loan, you still need an approval to get the loan.

Hello guys, I drive a 2007 Honda Accord EXL, 4 Cylinders. I've been driving this car for about 1 year 6 months without any issues. Recently, I observed that I feel a very slight vibration when accelerating from low speed. The vibration is usually brief and I don't feel it when accelerating from speeds above 40kms. what could be the cause of this vibration?

The 1999 camry is useless, go for the 2003 Corolla
Car TalkRe: Honda Accord 99 Or Kia Rio 2006 by andymofia(m): 11:02am On Nov 29, 2013
MeAgain: I'd suggest you ask what you require in a car. This would give you an idea of what your choice would be. Though It would have been better to compare cars of same segment.

KIA RIO (Whatever year)
This is a B segment subcompact car. It has its uses and advantages.
It's fuel economy is fantastic. This is obvious since the engine capacity is 1400cc (ideal for pocket friendliness)
It is easy to maintain as parts for this model (2006) are easier to get now at popular spare-parts markets.
The car is built to specification and as such can travel anywhere in this country without hassles.
overall, for a pocket friendly car coupled with good performance, go for the Kia.

HONDA ACCORD (Whatever year)
This is a D segment midsize family car. It also has its uses and advantages
Its fuel economy cannot be compared to that of a kia rio. This is evident of the engine capacity between 2000cc - 3500cc
It is ideal for family comfort.
It also has spare-parts available at popular markets, hence easy to maintain
It has a better handling experience in the driving seat
It also can travel anywhere in Nigeria
Due to the high number of similar car, it is a good target for vandals
overall, for fairly pocket friendly car with better performance, go for Honda.

Choice is yours!
does he need all this plenty grammar to choose between yeye kia and better honda?

CareerRe: How To Resign From A Bank When You Are Still Owing by andymofia(m): 5:09pm On Nov 22, 2013
Kx: Fact is when he exits the bank, outstanding loan taken when he was a staff at lower interest rate- staff welfare loan rate- would be converted immediately at the prevailing commercial rate.
Another thing is, his new employer- Ministry- may not adopt the loan. Therefore they may not pay it off for him and take it in as staff loan in his new place because he wont have qualified for it since he needs to put in a minimum of 6months for his appointment to be confirmed to enable him benefit from staff loans in most places.

His best bet is to resign from the bank, obtain his calculated final entitlement; if it reads that he is indebted to the bank, he can issue the bank posted cheques to the bank, offsetting his indebtedness in piecemeal month by month. The Bank will agree to that because they know if he defaults, they wont grant favorable reference to his new employer at his pre confirmation appraisal stage.
best response. I am a banker and Kx is very correct to the end.

Which is the best brake pad to use? I used the carbon break pads and it seams to wear out easily and needs frequent replacement. The iron break pad however lasts much longer, but seems to be damaging the break disk.

The break disk becomes very hot even is short distance movements.

Please advise.
