The app is user friendly.
As soon as you download the app and register, the rest is very easy. It’s gives you an option to get a virtual dollar card and a naira card. You can link your regular bank account or cards directly to your barter account and fund your barter card through your account.
The first step is to fund the naira virtual card and then fund the dollar card through the naira card and make your payments with it. You can click on the card details to show you the details.

I have no idea if one can get a student loan if you are already in the UK, there's usually a prerequisite for admission/visa which is where POF comes to play.

So if one is already in the UK, it then means you have ticked all the boxes of finances and funding of the program.

I think you can only call mummy, daddy, wife, husband, brother, sister friends, or colleagues if you don hang. lollll

The repayment plan starts after graduation when the person has gotten an employment, so I will not start paying until after school and I believe I will get full job immediately after graduation. It's a 10yrs repayment but can be paid off at once if the person has the money.

The loans is to act as POF. so u apply for it before you come in if u need it for your visa application

You guys don't get it or will I say you guys did not understand this guys question. He has not applied for any student visa neither has he presented POF to UK for student visa. He wants to study but he does not have to foot his bills and pay his fees. He needs to borrow enough money for both his tuition fees and living expense (POF) in order to enable him pursue his dreams of studying in the UK. He can actually borrow this money from anywhere in the world but he wants to borrow it from UK and they are requesting for his credit report score. There is nothing wrong in what he wants to do. People do borrow money for study purposes and they pay back when they graduate and start working. This is easier for UK citizens but he is not a UK citizen. He heard that some people that are non citizens of UK has succeeded in borrowing money and financing their studies, so he wants to give it a shot. Please, let us not crucify him.

Your "No credit report recorded" resulted from you not taking a loan in the past, Lendwise will ask for some additional documents, which you will upload on your dashboard and then they will determine how much loan & APR you will be given.

Not to worry about the credit report, some peeps that I know still got loans with no credit report.

Google the penalty that Befalls those who leave without paying. It's even on the ukvi website

As I mentioned earlier, Loan companies work with selected schools
External Loan companies like Prodigy, Mpower & Lendwise give funds to international students to pursue studies, there are also numerous companies that are listed on the every university finance/funding page

@Dafa thank you so much for your clarifications on the loan. I know what I mean when I say people get loans. @solatium, you just don't understand me. Am still trying to apply for my Visa, my school (CRANFIELD UNIVERSITY) has approved lend wise as one of their loan bodies and these people give to international students if they can provide their credit report. So I need loan for school fees and maintenance fees .

I will return back to This plaform with testimony if am successful. Am applying with 3 dependents ( husband and two kids)

How do you mean showing them a statement full of money, I never did and am not missing road when I say I need loan for my studies because many others apply and get it, so why would you say I shld not spoil road for others coming behind me. Definitely whatever loan I get, I will surely pay back. People get study loans to cater for their studies.

The last time You brought this issue here some of us told you the danger of applying for a loan in UK if you are on a student Visa,i don't know why you guys rarely listen until when it becomes a problem.
When you were applying as a student you showed them a statement full of money,how come your bank account became empty all of a sudden? that is what they will be saying to themselves,this your action will surely backfire not only on you but other coming behind, because the implications is they will doubt every documents coming from Nigerian's.
I beg you i. the name of whatever you worship not to spoil road for others coming behind you.
Drop this idea of seeking for a loan from UK institution until when you have an immigration status that qualifies you

I want to pay my tuition deposit fee and my school preferred way of payment is online using my card. Am using GTB MasterCard, and I noticed that their exchange rate is high : 649 naira to one pound, and my fee is £1000.

I searched and found that Sky Bank is way much cheaper to other banks and they rate is even lower than CBN rate. Their rate is 434 to one pound. Pls I want to know if am to use this bank and pay my fees, pls has anyone used sky bank to pay. Shld I go on to Open and acct with them so I can pay my fees. My school deadline for payment is 31st of this month.

Just use flutterwave with your debit card which will be higher, the rate will be shown before you are debited. Or you can use the Form A processing via UBA or GTB which may take sometime tho. Btw, which school is this ?

We have what we call credit bureau (CRC) in Nigeria,check it out and see if you can generate your credit score.

Ok. So pls can you recommend any other organization that lend loans to international students. The ones I have checked, my school is not supported, just this lend wise was recommended by my school ( Cranfield university)

Hello,

Credit report shows your history of credits and ability to pay debits. It shows a potential lender if you are credit worthy.

Have a look at Experian , Clear score or Equifax if you want to create a credit report, however, they will need information like your UK address,UK bank account and any credit card you may have.

That's the reason I mentioned it is for UK residents. See attached a screenshot from the same Lendwise
