A woman identified as Mrs. Sarah Asemota is demanding justice over the inhuman and degrading treatment allegedly meted on her by her late husband's elder brother, Mr.Mukaila Asemota. She alleged that she was legally married to her late husband Mr. Isa Asemota and they lived peacefully until his demise on the 8th day of May, 2018.

According to human rights activist, Kola Edokpayi, the woman further alleged that during the burial ceremony of her late husband on the 8th day of June,2018 the said Mukaila Asemota led other members of the family to subject and humiliate her to undertake and perform various inhuman and degrading practices viz: swearing on the dead body of her deceased husband, making her to eat from a particular plate with her left hand for the period of mourning, practices that have been prohibited by the Inhuman Treatment of Widows (Prohibition) Law 2001 of Edo State.

She further said that since the death of her husband the said Mr. Mukaila Asemota allegedly seized all her husband properties and has been threatening to deal with her and her children.

A formal petition has been transmitted to the Office of the Assistant Inspector General of Police, zone 5 and the Police is investigating the matter.

Wanted Gang Leader Beheaded By Fellow Cult Members In Rivers. Disturbing Photos

A dreaded and most wanted criminal element, Christian Lucky Kenjika popularly known as School-Boy has finally been killed in Rivers state.

According to reports, the notorious gang member and kidnapper was allegedly killed and beheaded by his fellow cult members after he 'failed to share proceeds from his kidnapping business'.

He was reportedly killed in Ubima community, Ikwerre Local Government Area along with a gang member and their body parts cut off. 

The deceased whose corpse was abandoned by the road side – was alleged to have led his gang to attack the executive chairman of Ikwerre and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) entourage at Ipo/Omaedeme area of Rivers state.

Last month, armed men attacked several members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at Ipo Omademe in Ikwerre local government area of Rivers state.

Cameroonian Task Force has conducted a successful raid on a house believed to be occupied by Nigerians in Nchang part of the country. 

It was scooped that the house was raided by the security agents following an information received that some suspicious men were living there. 

According to the Cameroonian authorities, items found in the house include; 
- 07 explosives
- 13 bottles of explosives
- 03 batteries,
- detonating cords,
- about detonators,
- 01 electric cable.
- 01 weapon of chasse+ 20 ammunition of cal 12
- 01 receiver
- 01 motorcycle,
- 01 laptop.

Two suspects were also arrested during the raid and are currently in police custody. 

Investigation is still ongoing.

A lady has got herself trending on social media after sharing pictures of herself and her White lover having a good time.

The trending pictures show the young lady and her foreign partner having a romantic time in a bathtub.

The lady who seemed to be unperturbed by criticisms/backlash from fellow online users - probably decided to share the pictures to show the public the extent of love she has for her man.

A Nigerian man has been convicted for the rape and sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl he befriended online.

Simon Owoade, 50, pleaded guilty yesterday, Monday, 3 December, at Harrow Crown Court to:

= Rape of a child under 13 years, contrary to Sec 5(1) of the Sexual Offences Act 2003;
= Assault of a child under 13 years by penetration, contrary to Sec 6(1) of the Sexual Offences Act 2003;
= Sexual assault of a child under 13 years, contrary to Section 7(1) of the Sexual Offences Act 2003;
= 3 x making indecent photographs of a child, contrary to section 1(1)(a) of the Protection of Children Act 1978.

He is due to be sentenced for the above offences at the same court on a date in January 2019.

A further two counts of sexual assault of a child under 13 years that Owoade admitted to were left to lie on file.

Between 1 June and late July 2017, Owoade made contact with the victim through a social media messaging site.

Following numerous messages, Owoade managed to persuade the victim to meet him in London and Potters Bar on a number of occasions. He would take her to various places including car parks and hotels where he would sexually assault her.

Owoade shared pornographic material with the victim and the girl was encouraged to share unclad photos of herself.

A young boy went home in a happy state after he was rewarded by a senator his action.

It was gathered that the boy placed his shirt on the ground for Senator Godswill Akpabio to walk on to the podium after arriving during an All Progressives Congress (APC) event organised for Obong Nsima Ekere’s governorship campaign on Sunday, November 2.

The young boy was rewarded with a whopping sum of N500,000 for his 'kind' gesture. 

The former Akwa Ibom governor, senator Akpabio, who was addressing the crowd of supporters, suddenly paused and called a boy to the stage to appreciate him

The boy was given N500K to buy himself a new shirt.

The excited the crowd in return hailed the senator at the event.

This is quite unfortunate. Some passengers were burnt to death while travelling from Katsina to Kano state on Sunday, November 2 (yesterday).

According to reports, the vehicle which they were travelling with was said to have been involved in a serious crash before it went up in flames and burnt most of the occupants.

The passengers were burnt beyond recognition before help could arrive.

The corpses of the deceased were retrieved the next morning (today) after concerted efforts by road users to put out the flames yesterday night.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, vice presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi met with the Catholic helmsman, Pope Francis at the Vatican city in Italy earlier last week. 

According to reports, the former governor of Anambra state, met with the Pontiff for prayers ahead of the forthcoming election in 2019. 

After being selected as the running mate to PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi revealed his plan to visit Pope Francis.

Our Isoko brothers from Delta state are back in the news again for the same reason. According to reports, four brothers from Isoko, Delta state performed a rare feat in the annals of marriage in Nigeria as they got married in style today.

According to report, two of the brothers married two wives each while the other two married one wife each, thereby making it six wives brought into the family in one day. 

It was gathered that the traditional wedding attracted a lot of villagers and guests who came to witness the new development being that it has rarely happened in the community. 

This is coming after a prince identified as Obukeni Prince Monday Ochendu from the family of His Royal Majesty Edward Obukeni 1 (Jp) Ovie Of Igbide Kingdom in Delta State, got married two wives on Saturday, October 27th.

Some men were subjected to public humiliation and punishment by some soldiers along Lagos-Ibadan expressway. 

It was gathered that the offence of the men was that they were driving too close to the army's vehicle and the officers suspected that they might be dangerous, hence the men were stopped and forced to lay/kneel on the ground by the roadside. 

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, ran into the scene on his way from RCCG's Redemption camp as the soldiers were dealing with the men.

He told them it was not their duty to carry out arrests and that if they considered them suspects it was the job of the police to investigate and prosecute them.

The men were later released after series of exchanges and tension.

A 31-year-old Nigerian man has been found dead in an abandoned building in Cesenatico, Italy.

The corpse of the deceased immigrant identified as Imo Obinna, was reported to have been found few days after his passing away at the building as it is suspected he died due to sickness. 

The corpse was reportedly found by some homeless men in the area who notified the authorities before an ambulance was called. Nothing could be done as at the time the ambulance arrived. 

A valid residence permit and other documents were found in his pocket.

According to reports, medical experts have ruled out traumatic cause of death as they say the death may have occurred due to carbon monoxide poisoning, caused by some gas heater or some fire to keep warm.

His death was dated 36 hours earlier to when the corpse was found.

The police has arrested seven notorious kidnappers allegedly responsible for the abduction of an Assistant Comptroller of Customs in Onne, Rivers state. 

On 13/11/2018, Assistant Comptroller of Custom Justina Tanko was kidnapped by a gang of notorious kidnappers and taken to an unknown destination from a Restaurant she frequents.

Upon receipt of the information on her kidnap, operatives of IGP-intelligence Response Team IRT deployed to Port-Harcourt by IGP Ibrahim K. Idris led by DCP. Abba Kyari immediately commenced investigation into the kidnap and with the aid of technical intelligence, active members of the gangs were identified.

Immediately after a negotiated ransom of five million (5,000,000) naira was paid by her family on 15/11/18 to avoid risking her life during Rescue Operation and her subsequent release on the same day. Operatives immediately commence action and within 24hrs after her release the first suspect was arrested and subsequently in an operation that lasted for about 72hrs seven (7) confirmed members of the gang were arrested.

The gang is notorious in kidnap for ransom and thereafter causing the disappearance of their hostages after collection of ransom in some of their Kidnappings, they also made some confession of their robbery escapade where they operate in two local governments areas of, Eleme LGA and Gonna LGA in Rivers State with a strong hold in Biara town in Gokana LGA and Trailer park in Eleme LGA.

Exhibits recovered include, 2 Ak47 Riffles and Pump Action Gun, the gangs' operational vehicle and the VW Golf belonging to Chibuike Ezenkwu whom the gang kidnapped in the month of May 2018 and till date he has not been released as the gang confessed that he was killed and thrown into the River after collection of ransom because he knows them.

Suspects are cooperating with Operatives and have made more useful confessions that will aid the investigation. While frantic effort is still ongoing to arrest "Bobo Biara" the gang leader who is still in possession of the large chunk of ransom meant for members of the gang already arrested and also the arrest of other fleeing gang members and recovery of more weapons.

Tears are still flowing over the gruesome murder of a First Class 300 Level undergraduate of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka.

The pathetic confessional statements of the 4-man gang believed to be Yahoo boys, were made on Wednesday (yesterday), at the Delta State Police Command, where the suspects were paraded.

The suspects revealed how they killed the student identified as Elozino Joshualia Ogege with the help of a security guard, Onos who offered to assist the victim secure an accommodation.

According to him, "I was contacted by Desmond and another to provide a female student for Yahoo rituals. We had planned it, and when Elozino approached me that she was looking for accommodation, I saw it as a good opportunity".

"I contacted Desmond who told me to tell her to come back the next day. So the next day, they brought a Corola car; and when Elozino came, they used something on her face which made her unconscious. We took her to a bush where we first plucked out one of her eyes while she was still alive. She was even crying and begging us to forgive her and let her go, but we plucked the other eye, removed her breast and heart before she died".

Implicating his supervisor, Onos posited that he was posted into the school by his supervisor for the purposes of carrying out such missions when contacted.

But the Supervisor with a security company attached to the University, Uche Nwaosisi who said he is from Asaba, denied knowledge of the crime, stating that he was among those that chased and caught Onos when the police came after him in the school.

" When all these were happening, Onos threatened to implicate me for assisting the police to catch him. When the police caught him, they discovered two phones with him, which he claimed I sold one to him. That was my involvement ", the supervisor claimed.

However, one of the Yahoo Plus conspirators, Desmond who appeared remorseful, affirmed that the Elozino's murder made it the fifth life he has taken for ritual purposes. He said the first four female victims were adopted at Oghara and killed for the rituals, adding that Elozino's murder was his first from the University community in Abraka.

According to him, " Each time we killed, we removed the vital organs like the eyes, the heart and the breast of the victims, normally females, and take to the Baba (herbalist), who usually would ask us to come back".

"Baba used to burn the heart and pound it to make powder substance out of it. It is the powder that he gives us, which we apply before speaking to our victims to make money from them. Any big woman we approach obliges us and provides money for us", Desmond revealed.

For the native doctor who appeared hardened and unrepentant, identified as Robinson, he kept calling on God as a witness that he was speaking the truth. He said Elozino's heart and eye happened to be the first he received from the Yahoo Plus customers.

Ozumba who insisted that the association does not have student membership declared that any student in “our tertiary institutions who claim to be a Seadogs is an impostor and should be dealt with and handed over to the appropriate security authority for prosecution”.

A baby has been rescued one week after being kidnapped and tied inside a cement bag in Rivers state.

According to reports, the woman in the picture allegedly kidnapped the baby and tied her inside the cement bag for close to a week in Ozuoba community, Obio/Akpor local government area of the state.

It was gathered that luck ran out on the alleged kidnapper this afternoon as she was caught and later confessed to the crime.

She was taken to where she put the child who was found alive. 

The woman was beaten by her captors as they dragged her to the police station while she wept.

The baby has been rushed to the hospital for treatment. 

The suspect allegedly confessed to selling her victims to ritualists.

Parents and guardians have been warned to pay more attention to their children/ward most especially this time of the year.
