I strongly disagree. Demand for pork meat is not low at all. I hope you know that bacon, sausage and hot dogs come from pigs.
brain54:
Piggery is very capital intensive to start up.
It is generally considered as a dirty business especially as compared with other type of animal farming.

Generally pork meat is not as widely accepted as others. Poultry or beef for instance. It is actually forbidden by Islam religion and only some Christians accept it also due to religious reasons. So the demand is low compared to beef or chicken.

Also I think to farm pigs commercially it takes a longer period to start breaking even and returns on investment. Not many are willing to take the risk involved in rearing due to the long time frame involved. It’s a long term investment.

Also outbreak of diseases ( swine flu) for instance often discourage prospective farmers. Existing farms also battle with many of these diseases while many are being shut down especially the larger ones.

Lastly lack or absence of information on piggery thereby limiting those that start up or go into piggery as a form of business.

This is not to say it is not a lucrative business however. From my little and humble experience I will say pig farming is one of the most lucrative aspects of agriculture.

When we can import? Be careful oh! don't spoil parole for importers in this country

Why is pig rearing not common in Nigeria?
Is it that there are little to no demands for pork meat?

You're half right. Between 2004 till around Euros 2016, CR7 carried Portugal. That is a fact. At the same time Argentina was being carried by Messi.
In the case of Argentinian it was worse. They expected Messi to do everything.
What has changed now is that Portugal now have a talented group of players that have come up and that are coming up. Which means that Ronaldo is no longer carrying Portugal in fact they don't need him.
In the case of Argentina they no longer rely on Messi like in previous years, but they need him.
That's the difference Portugal don't need Ronaldo whereas Argentina need Messi.

Geofavor:

This has always been the difference between Messi and Ronaldo: Messi carries his team while Ronaldo relies on his team to carry him. When Messi left Barca, the team fell apart. When Ronaldo left Madrid, the team started playing even better and allowed players whose shine he has been stealing to eventually get noticed. Modric and Benzema went on to win the balon d or.
Now, he is finally getting seen for the opportunistic player that he is and is been dealt with accordingly. Portugal should keep him on the bench for the rest of the tournament if they intend performing well.

You are very correct. Ronaldo scored goals and the team won trophies. However, the team declined. You see, having Ronaldo in your team you have to make certain allowances, because Ronaldo does not press, his hold up play is non-existent, defensively he is doesn't do much. Unfortunately, by allowing Ronaldo to get away without contributing to the team attacks and defence except scoring goals, Juventus as a team declined.
Juve made a mistake signing Ronaldo
Manchester United made a mistake signing Ronaldo.

BlackAIIDay:

JUVENTUS won 5 trophies in Ronaldo's 2 years spell for them. He was the highest goal scorer for JUVENTUS in both years. Guy, you are too dumb to argue football. Go to politics section please

I hope this match made it clear that Ronaldo is no longer Ronaldo? Portugal played sensationally without Ronaldo.
Ronaldo should be coming from the bench.
Erik Ten Hag has been vindicated
I have been vindicated, since the last Euros, I was saying that Ronaldo is no longer Ronaldo. His goal covered up his weaknesses, but, no more.

Crypto is the best way forward. What tax implications?
tensazangetsu20:
Bros its not a joke. I remember when I started working my boss tried more than 4 payment platforms and after using it like 2 times he would get blocked cause he's sending money to Nigeria.

We currently use crypto as a means of payment after we exhausted all options but not every company can use this because of the tax implications.

I know 2 people who have lost jobs because the companies couldn't figure out payment methods and not every company wants to do dorm account transfer. Sometimes the stress is so much especially if it's a small company and it's an individual handling that while your colleagues in other countries are paid through PayPal. I just pity those who have given birth in Nigeria. If things are this bad only God knows how they will be in 20 years.

Phones / Re: 40GB Is Not Enough. What Should I Do? by angelfallz(m): 8:49pm On Dec 03, 2022
Choose stability
iLegendd:
Please, which sub should I do? It's now obvious to me that 40GB can't serve me for 3 weeks let alone 1 month.

I want to sub for 1TB for 1 year on the 1st of January, 2023 to see how long it will carry me. This will also help me save money.

My question is, which network will be the best? I have used MTN, Airtel, and Glo.

What I like about Glo is the fact that 5 friends or family members can connect to my network and enjoy it with me, but they (Glo) usually have network issues when you need reception the most. They've made me lose money before on a Crypto trade.

For Airtel, they're good to me, but once in a while, they misbehave.

For MTN, they suck my data like a hungry new born baby, but they're more stable.

So, to those who have done 1TB sub for a year for 100k, which network will you recommend?

Does MTN or Airtel have the kind of data sharing Glo has? Or, is there any better or cheaper option than spending 100k on 1TB for a year?

Team sports like football usually have a star player that the team is built around. And this has been the norm until recently.
Maradona is an example of that star player that team is built around.
Messi, in his later years at Barcelona is another example.

The difference now is that tactics does not allow for such any more.
Modern tactics demands that 11 players attack(including the goalkeeper) and 11 players defend(including the no. 9)

Ronaldo has spent so long in football because when he started we were still in the era of building your team around a star player, Ronaldinho is an example, CR7 himself durinh his final years at United the first time.
I don't know if you remember Rooney sacrificing himself. Benzema did the same thing.

So Ronaldo's career started when football was in a different era. So naturally he would find it difficult to adjust.
By right, since he is the star, the team should work for him and be built around him.
But:
1. Modern tactics does not allow that
2. He is no longer what he once was to justify altering tactics for him.
kenex4ever:
Football has never been an individual thing but people like Cr7 have over the years made seem like an individual affair due to his always trying to be the centre of attention.

Sports / Re: Cristiano Ronaldo 'Agrees To A £173 Million-Per-Year Contract With Al Nassr' by angelfallz(m): 1:26pm On Nov 30, 2022
The problem is Ronaldo. He might refuse to accept that his time at the top is over. Remember, he rejected the Saudi club in the summer, because he was waiting for a champions league club.
I hope his advisers counsel him properly and that he listens to them.

qtguru:

For his age it makes sense, he has accomplished a lot, and those Saudi guys get money and free from media tabloids also unlike English Press
Sports / Re: Cristiano Ronaldo 'Agrees To A £173 Million-Per-Year Contract With Al Nassr' by angelfallz(m): 1:24pm On Nov 30, 2022
No, he was rejected because of:
1. His age
2. Tactics have changed, elite football clubs favour the collective over the individual.

Ronaldo can never be said to be a bad influence, never!

kenex4ever:
A goat rejected by European clubs because of his bad influence and selfishness.
