65-year-old Sibusiso Mthembu, from the South African KwaZulu-Natal tells it in all seriousness. And who knows, he may even be telling the truth about having visited heaven four times, so far. The first time was in 1998, and subsequent visits were made in 2004, 2006, and 2008. It all started in 1993, when a white man (an angel, apparently) paid him a visit and told him he was needed in heaven. And now, after several visits, he’s drawing a map to make sure the rest of us ‘unlucky’ ones get what he’s talking about.

But it’s not the fact that he took a few vacations to heaven or even that he’s drawing a map that amuses me. It’s more to do with the stuff he says he’s seen and done there. According to Mthembu, there are 11 heavens in all, and he was taken to the fifth one, Crista, first. It was there, in a city called Sharmoy, that he claims to have met Jesus.
The main heaven is Salem, he says, where God’s temple is located. God is apparently in his youth, and of a Grayish complexion. Jesus is white. He saw God for the first time during his second trip, on a planet called Jadalem that’s mostly covered in water and ice.

Mthembu’s other sightings include Moses, Elijah, and Abel. He also explored the Marshnode City, which is the place people go to when they die, to get reincarnated. But here’s the weirdest of all his tales – he says that the people who predicted the end of the world in May last year weren’t entirely incorrect. Mthembu seems to have eavesdropped on an important meeting in the heavens, where the biggest war against Satanism was being discussed. The war is supposed to have been launched on May 23rd, so we’re basically on a countdown to the absolute end.
The map isn’t ready yet, but Mthembu is already worried about counterfeit versions. “People must come and see the map as one day someone from Japan or China or Britain will design a map of heaven and the people of South Africa will have forgotten that the map was originally made in South Africa,” he says. Perhaps he needs to patent his creation. And while he’s at it, write a fantasy novel and strike a movie deal too?

Residents of Agiliti, Mile 12 Lagos, woke up today to a gruesome sight. The headless body of a young man was found on a side street. On closer inspection, it was discovered that his manhood had also been cut off. People suspect it was ritual murder but no one knows for sure what happened. For those of you who grew up following the conventional wisdom of ‘you believe only when you see’, these images could be startling! In today’s day and age when computer imagery and special effects are employed to make any visual jazzy, and exciting, if you believe only because you see, and then spread the information, you could possibly lead to more confusion and chaos.
These pictures, supposedly of a mermaid (or Jalpari), apparently found in Karachi, Pakistan, and subsequently spotted in Porbander, Gujarat, has caught many eyeballs in the internet space. Here’s she, the angelic Ariel, the in-flesh version of the cutesy mermaid of Disney’s The Little Mermaid series. But is she for real? Or are these some leaked out pictures straight from the sets of a Hollywood movie? Or is this just a prank to elicit ‘look- how-I-made-em-fools’ reactions? We, for sure, have no clue!
What we do know, for sure, is that while Miss M’s fin and her axial appendages may make the visual look real, her sharp facial features, her carved lips and high cheekbones make her the glamorous beauty of the underwater world. “Oh, she must be the s3xiest mermaid around,” squealed someone. Maybe the ‘mermaid’ has just taken a leap of faith, after realising her rare beauty, landed on our shores, perhaps to participate in our de rigueur beauty pageants!

Philip Katongu (pictured above) from Wamba, Nasarawa State has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his wife to death, Punch reports.

According to reports, Katongu stabbed his wife to death in a street at Oniru Estate, Maroko, Lagos, where they lived. Police say she was stabbed at least three times. After he was arrested by operatives of the Department of Criminal Investigations, Yaba, Lagos, Katongu, 45, claimed he killed her because she infected him with HIV and then wanted to leave him for another man. He explained:

"I married Justina, my second wife in December 2010. I later learnt that she had given birth to two girls for a man. The girls died of AIDS. However, when we first met, she did not tell me all these. I explained to her that I have a wife with children and I wanted to marry her too. Before marriage, I told her we should go to hospital to conduct HIV test, but she refused and said that she was HIV negative. So we started sleeping together.”

Katongu claimed that without his knowledge, his wife had been going to Abuja for medical treatment every three months for HIV, until March 2013 when she took him along.

He said it was at the hospital that she disclosed her HIV status to him.

“I was angry and told the doctor who equally blamed her for not disclosing it to me. The doctor then tested me, and I was positive. We came back to Lagos and continued with the relationship because I loved her. But suddenly, she told me she wanted to pack out from my house that she was no longer interested in marrying me having had another person in Abuja. In fact, the man usually called her on phone while we were together.

“I told her that with her status, she should not go and be infecting people with the virus. And that I will kill her and kill myself. We started fighting and I stabbed her. It was in the early hours. I stabbed her three times with a knife. She shouted and people were knocking at our door.

After she died, I stabbed myself, and the people broke the door open. I woke up to find myself in a hospital. I feel very bad that I killed my wife. I loved her very much.”

Malia Obama kicked a (presumably) American citizen at Lollapalooza, and not only did the Secret Service fail to act, the kicked victim was happy about it.

The sad incident happened at Aba, Abia State at the week­end when a young men­tally challenged woman gave birth to a set of female twins on a heap of refuse and stoned one to death be­fore the police were in­vited
The unidentified mad woman in his mid 20s was allegedly by an unknown person late last year.

According to Our sources. it was learnt that the woman gave birth in the wee hours of Saturday, to two girls without any as­sistance on top of a heap of garbage close to an AGIP filling station at Alaoji, along the Ikot Ekpene Road, near Aba.
The lunatic woman fell asleep after giving birth to the babies, and when one of the babies started crying, she woke up used a stone she found within the place to hit her and the child died before she could be rescued.
Sensing that the life of the second baby could also be in danger, residents of the area alerted the police and the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) for Ogbor Hill Division, Mrs. Helen Nze, was said to have led a team of policemen to the refuse dump.
The police rushed the baby that was still alive to a private hospital, where she was cleaned and given medication, and deposited the dead one in a mortuary.

A native doctor and suspected ritual killer arrested by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Lagos State Police Command has said that he grinds human heads into powder as charm for ladies who are looking for choice husbands and big contracts.

Olasunkanmi Owolabi, a 43-year-old native of Oyo town, said the concoction is also used as cure for stubborn sores, mental illness, sickle cell anaemia and epilepsy. He also said had planned to establish a specialist native hospital if government gave him the approval. Continue...



Arrested with Owolabi were his two co-travellers, Clement Omodijie and Usman Saliu a.k.a. Alfa. Omodijie, a 54-year-old indigene of Ekpoma, Edo State, says he is married with three children. A grave digger at Gbogbo Cemetery, Ikorodu, Lagos on a monthly salary of N22,000, he said he had worked at the cemetery for five years before he was arrested by SARS operatives.
Saliu, a 31-year-old native doctor from Ilisa town in Osun State and Owolabi’s ally, said he trained as an alfa (Islamic cleric) at Ralwu Islamic School, Ikewu, Osun State where he claimed he spent nine years learning native medicine. A police source said the three had been charged with unlawful possession of human parts.

Owolabi (43), who was arrested on June 22 this year, was said to have requested a human head from Omodijie, saying that he needed the skull to prepare a medicine for his patients. Omodijie obliged Owolabi by exhuming a corpse from one of the graves in the cemetery where he worked and delivering the head to Owolabi.

Upon a tip-off from a member of the public, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Umar Manko, was said to have directed the officer in charge of SARS, Abba Kyari, a Superintendent of Police, to fish out the ritual killers.

Kyari immediately swung into action with his team. He put a call through to Saliu, saying that a human head was urgently needed to save the life of a wealthy patient whose illness had defied orthodox medicine. Saliu asked the detectives to come to Ikorodu for the transaction. But he was arrested as soon as he showed up at the agreed place. The human head he came with was recovered and put in a polythene bag as an exhibit.

confessing his role in the saga omodijie said, “i was content with being a grave digger before i met owolabi in a restaurant in front of the cemetery in gbogbo area of ikorodu. since i met owolabi, my life has not been the same again. I have moved from one problem into another. i was enjoying my n15,000 monthly salary as a grave digger before i met him and he lured me into supplying human heads to him at n4,000 each. “The naked truth is that there is nothing reasonable i have done with the n4,000 per human head that he has been paying me. i used it to drink gin or smoke cigarettes with it. it is the devil’s money. “i hardly fell sick since i was born. but after selling human heads to him, my health has been deteriorating.

I buy drugs as if it is food, making me to spend more money than before. “i was moulding blocks before i secured a job in the cemetery as a grave digger. we were paid on a daily basis. we used wooden or machine moulder. but whichever moulder we used, we charged the owner n500 per bag of cement, which can give one about 40 blocks. if we did three bags, we collected n1,500. “when i got a job in the cemetery, i was happy because it is not as hard as moulding blocks.

The salary was small but i was enjoying it. the grave was shallow or deep, depending on the owner of the corpse and the way he or she wants it to be buried. “my trouble started a day i went to buy food opposite the cemetery. that was where i met owolabi and he said there was something he had wanted to tell me. He asked whether i was a worker in the cemetery and i said yes. he said i should give him a human head and i asked him what he meant. he said the head of a corpse already buried. “we have cemetery rules which forbid us from doing such a thing. i told him that i would not be able to do that, and he left. but thereafter, each day i went to the restaurant to buy food, he would accost me with the same request. i insisted that i would not do it because i did not want to lose my job, but he said it was better to sell human parts to him than allowing them to waste. “I summoned courage to ask him what he wanted to do with human heads and other parts. he said he was a native doctor and alfa, and that he wanted to use it to make medicine.

He said he would grind it into powder and mix it with certain herbs for pregnant women to drink in order to deliver their babies without complications or operation. he also said that he grinds human heads and mixes them with the powders some ladies carry in their handbags, saying that it helps those that are looking for choice husbands and big government contracts or companies’ lpos to secure them without stress. he also said that it can cure sickle cell anemia, among other ailments. “I told him that i didn’t have any but if i got one, i would call him.

A few days later, i called him on the phone and told him that i had got some. he asked me where i kept it and i told him that i kept one in a nearby bush. he asked me to bring it to my house so that he would come later to collect it. “he knows my house because he had followed me to my house several times after we met and became friends. he gave me n4,000 for the first head he came to collect from my house. the following day, he bought another one for n4,000.” asked how he obtained the heads he sold to owolabi, omodijie said: “The graves where i normally bring out the skulls from are shallow, and coffins are not used for the corpses brought there because of religion or financial status of the owners. it is cheaper to bury a corpse in a shallow grave than to do so in a deep, cemented or marbled one. “most burials done in shallow graves are temporary. that is why that section of the cemetery is called the temporary site. after some months, the corpses buried in shallow graves are excavated and burnt. that was why owolabi i should not allow the skulls to waste and that i should sell them to him instead.” “four of us work in the cemetery, but the other workers did not know that i was smuggling out human skulls and other parts to sell to native doctors. it was only two heads i had sold before detectives from sars arrested me. “there is no useful thing i can say i did with the money.

I was deceived by the devil. i am pleading for forgiveness because i did not kill a l anyone to sell their heads. i sold the skulls of corpses already buried and had decayed. i did not know that it would land me in this trouble.” owolabi on his part said: “i am an alfa and a native doctor. but i am not yet registered. i finished my arabic studies in kwara state about 13 years ago and relocated to ikorodu to work as a native doctor. i have the ambition of building a native hospital if the government gives me an approval. “I started by praying for sick people. last year, i met this cemetery worker (omodijie) and told him about the products (human parts) they were wasting. i learnt about using human skull to do powerful charms and medicine after travelling to kano, kaduna and other parts of the north. “in kano, i met a yoruba native doctor who told me that if i mixed ground human bones with soap and some herbs, it would bring luck for my clients or patients.

Nigeria has been variously described as the home of oddities. But the fact that these oddities are increasing by the day gives course for concern. Many expected the populace to come to terms with global best practices regarding conducts, actions and all the what not.
Let’s take a look at these oddities in ascending order of how prevailing they are.

1. TIME KEEPING
Nigerians are not known to be good time managers. Didn’t they say time is money? It seems Nigerians have not heeded this popular saying otherwise, why do you find people still adopting the practice called ‘’African time’’? Fix your event for 9am and you should not expect your invited guest until 12 noon or even 1pm. It is that bad! Big dignitaries are the major culprit of this. The ‘’little men’’ are suppose to arrive and wait for the high and might before the show kicks off. Is that fair? I always say, until Nigeria addresses the little things like time keeping, achieving our true potential would remain a mirage.
2. NO CHANGE
Those that frequent petrol filling stations would agree with me on this. Purchase fuel for the sum of N1,800 and instead getting a balance of N200, the attendant quickly says no change. Why is it so difficult to get your balance after a given purchase? The other strand of this “No Change’’ drama, is for those that patronize public transportation popularly called danfo and molues. You either split your big currency into smaller denominations or else, you remain stranded at the bus stop. The usual practice is a loud noise saying ‘’no change oh’’ What happened to good customer service? Am I supposed to look for change for the bus conductor?
3. BEATING QUEUES AND TRAFFIC LIGHT
If the question goes, how many of us are guilty of these? Honestly, many hands would go up. Go to the banks, someone would just walk into the queue, straight up he or she is at the front. Is it traffic light? This is more common especially the danfos drivers in Lagos. Car owners are not exonerated from this malady because they are always in hurry.
4. PAYING FOR JOBS
Oh yeah, ‘’wetin we no go hear for naija’’ Paying for jobs? Ask any member of your family, one or two must have fallen victim to this unscrupulous behavior especially in Government establishment. We all know what happened during the Immigration recruitment exercise nationwide early this year. It is pay for this form, buy this scratch card or pay for this recommendation letter all in the drive to reap off unsuspecting applicants. Where in the world do you pay to apply for jobs? A friend went for a job interview at Ikeja, after all the sermons and lengthy sessions. It bore down to paying #10,000 for what the so called recruitment officer referred to as License fee. Did I hear holy Moses?
5. CO-HABITATION
Agreed, this is not a Nigerian thing because in Kenya last year, the Government started paying bride price for couples so as to curb the widespread habit of co-habitation. Now back to our beloved Nigeria. But seriously if you take cognizance of the alarming rate at which couples cohabit, you would think the era of legality in marriage through the payment of bride price is gone. That is how rampant this act is! Just get pregnant and the next thing on the card is for the couple to start living as hubby and wife without the knowledge or consent of their parents. Right?
6. CORPORATE BEGGING
Yes the almighty corporate begging has suddenly become a national malaise. You see people begging at the bus stops with reckless abandon. In some cases you find the same persons playing out the same scripts all the time. ‘’Excuse me sir, I need some money to complete my fare’’. For how long will you keep completing our fare? Don’t get me wrong, they are genuine people who could be in a fix and definitely needs help. But you and I know that some Nigerians adopt this measure as a means for daily bread. Another brand of this is the series of begging among security men in corporate offices like banks. There is almost no bank you walked into without a security guard approaching you for money. You here ‘’anything for the boys’’, ‘’guy give me kola na’’, ‘’anything for the weekend’’, or giving you a hand shake unnecessarily.

The discovery of a baby placenta in the home of a popular Alfa, identified as Alfa Gani, is causing confusion in the Laduba community, Ogidi area of Ilorin, Kwara State. The discovery was made when some volunteers went round the Laduba community to appeal for financial contributions from residents for the repair of a faulty transformer in the area.

It was said that the volunteers perceived offensive odour at Gani’s residence, which they later reported to other members of the community. Curious to know what smelled, some members of the community rushed to the man’s residence and demanded an explanation for the offensive odour oozing from his house.

An eyewitness said Alfa Gani initially accused the community members of intruding into his privacy. He was said to have rushed to the Oloje Police Station to report the community members...

The eyewitness, who spoke to Punch, added that before Gani could come back with the police, the community members had entered his house and discovered a boy with a baby placenta.

The enraged community members were said to have beaten up the boy, making him to confess that he was asked to prepare a charm by Gani, who allegedly exhumed the placenta.

While this was going on, a woman, whose baby naming ceremony was recently held near Gani’s house, arrived at the scene. On seeing the placenta, she was said to have rushed to where the placenta of her new-born baby was buried, only to discover that it was missing. She was said to have raised the alarm, alerting the community members to the ugly development.

When Alfa Gani came back with police to arrest community members, the commotion was still in progress.

The source said, “The residents narrated their discovery to the policemen. It was at that point that the police decided to search the entire house including an uncompleted building behind the suspect’s house, after which they discovered some human parts.”

It was gathered that the enraged mob vandalised Gani’s house and set it on fire.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Kwara State Command, Mr. Ajayi Okasanmi, however, told Punch that there was no den of ritual killers in the state capital.

A 10 year old girl strapped with an explosive belt was yesterday July 29th discovered by security forces in company of two other people, a man and an 18 year old girl, while traveling along a road in Katsina state.

The DG of the National Information Center, Mr Mike Omeri said this while briefing news men at the National Information Center;

"Security forces on Tuesday, July 29, at about 10pm along Zaria Road, Tudun Wada of Funtua Metropolis, arrested three suspects believed to be members of the Boko Haram sect. The three suspects consisted a male named Iliya Haliru, and two females – Zainab Musa, 18, and Hadiza Musa, 10. The three suspects were arrested in a Honda CRV. When they were directed to disembark for security check, 10-year-old Hadiza was discovered to have been strapped with an explosive belt. And immediately, Iliya and Zainab made attempt to escape with the car but were later blocked by other concerned Nigerians and subsequently arrested. The police successfully unstrapped the explosive.”

He appealed to parents to monitor their wards so they do not get initiated into such evil acts.

The jaw dropping moment a giant Python swallowed a baby Antelope was captured on camera by animal rescuer Nitish Bambhaniya in the village of Billa in Gujarat, India.

"I got a call in the morning for an Indian rock python. When we reached the spot, we saw this massive python. The python had hunted a baby blue bull and had already eaten 80% of the bull's body. It is on the edge of an open field, so lots of locals start gathering there." Nitish said

As people gathered, with many saying the snake should be killed as it could be a danger to them, the snake known as the Indian Rock Python stopped swallowing the antelope & let go of its lifeless body

As the girl’s story was widely covered by the local media, some of the inspired citizens agreed to donate money for the operation.

Sahara Reporters today shared a disturbing video which showed a Nigerian Air officer identified as Umar Abubakar being interrogated and later gruesomely murdered by Boko Haram men in Borno state. The sect men then paraded with his head in a jubilant display.

The victim, who was extensively interrogated before his gruesome killing, identified himself as Umar Abubakar, disclosing that he was a member of Section 9 of the Nigerian armed forces engaged in counter-insurgency measures against Boko Haram.

In the video clip, the insurgents asked their victim to state his monthly pay to which he replied N40,000. He also disclosed that his commanding officer was a 2nd lieutenant. The insurgents displayed their victim's identity card, chanting that the world should know that Allah had given them an enemy.

Thinking that reprieve would come his way, the captured military operative proclaimed himself a Muslim of Jama'atu Izalal extraction, but the insurgents, who spoke Hausa mixed with Kanuri, dismissed his plea. Their leader said: "No amount of prayers will save you, we will judge you according to the Quran."

To the chants of Allahuakubar, the insurgents decapitated the hapless officer. After beheading their victim, the terrorists held up his severed head in jubilation as one of them used a mobile phone to film the gory scene. The victim's headless body can be seen on the ground in a pool of blood, his hands tied with a rope.

According to a source who witnessed the arrest, the woman pictured above, pretending to be a mad woman, was caught this morning July 20th on the Mile 2 Bridge in Lagos with the decomposing body of a 3 year old boy. A police officer who saw her dragging the blue Ghana Must Go bag (pictured), stopped her to search the bag and inside it he discovered the boy's corpse and a lot of charms.

Most of us have had BABYSITTERS and many of us had ones we did not like or who we thought were too strict.
One baby in India apparently has the BABYSITTER(s) from hell: four cobras who slither and hiss when annoyed.
Reports suggest the cobras were left with the baby to protect it.
While one would think that leaving cobras with a child would be like leaving wolves to guard sheep, the snakes appear to be taking their job seriously. They sit like hovering sentinels, their head flaps aggressively flared in case someone gets CLOSE.
The baby sleeps calmly, apparently having spent some time with snakes in the past.
It is unclear what the context is but it could be the work of a snake charmer.
The snakes, hopefully, had been defanged.
