is it possible to swap this zlt model for a zte modem from thier office ..i didnt know when there was a zte option when i purchased ..
The simple option is to wait for the subscription on the ZLT to expire, then instead of renewing you go to their office to buy the new ZTE device.

It’s basically the same 25k, same as the renewal fees.

Someone I know is having the problem of always restarting their device to get network back whenever it goes off.
That is, there will be network but not browsing until they restart.

What is the solution to this? It's the ZLT version with black IDU.
This issue is common with people using just the eSIM activated, he should get a physical Sim and insert in the Sim slot and use.

Mehnnn, that's just messed up.

So I have the esim number with me but it looks like it isn't active at the moment.

Will a sim swap be possible?
How much did the sim swap cost you?
If you use MyAirtel app, check if the eSIM number has been added to your account first. If yes, you can proceed to do a Sim swap at any Airtel outlet to get a physical Sim. I paid 2k for mine.

Rokynwastar:
The esim with Airtel is highly flawed, from the activation to occasional network loss. When the esim was still working, I'd get "no Internet" out from no where, but when I put the physical sim innit, it works very well.

I pity those who have this issue but don't have the physical sim to make up for it as you'll now have to wait for hours before the esim comes back online.

Will keep trying with the band/cell Lock thing. Maybe there's just something I'm missing.
I faced similar issues on my ZTE ODU when I got it last week, after it was installed, it connected without internet access, the installer had to restart it for it to connect, then after that it went off again after the installer had already gone, so I called him and he told me to restart the device again, I did that all through that day but it still refused to connect on checking the ODU dashboard, I noticed the Sim number showing there is totally different from the one I registered.

So I contacted the Airtel Office, they initially said the fault was from the installer that he might have installed someone else device, until I proved otherwise by showing the device IMEI which matches what I snapped at the office after payment. So they said the error might be that the device was initially registered for someone else but didn't go through, before they used same device to register for me, so the number is clashing.

I requested for my registered line to be converted to a physical Sim, since I saw it was active and tied to my Airtel account on the app, but to my greatest surprise, they said it doesn't support physical Sim. I just laughed it off, and took pictures of the Sim slot and sent to them, but they now said it may not work. I literally had to snap the pages on their manual that indicated it works with both eSIM and physical Sim, and the use of physical overrides the eSIM functional which makes the device make use of the physical Sim directly.

I had to further prove it to them by inserting my previous Airtel 20mbps unlimited Sim in it and told them that it works. They now called me the next day to speak on a conference call with their supervisor to explain my case with him, after a few hours later, they told me to go back to the office and try to get the physical Sim, but on reaching there they said NIMC portal was down. So I opted for a roadside SIM swap of the eSIM since it was weekend and I didn't want to wait to come back on Monday.

The Sim swap was successful and I have now installed the physical Sim into the Sim slot and it is working fine now without any issues or interruptions.

If you have eSIM registered for you already, just make sure first that the eSIM number issued to you is active, then take that number to any Airtel outlet and request for a SIM swap. Most Airtel staffs are not aware of this simple solution.

This is strictly for the ZTE ODU users, you can use the ZTE Smart Life App to monitor your device and perform some settings.

Yes! The Mini provides similar performance to the standard kit, the major difference is the size, the Mini is built to be portable and has its router inbuilt in the dish, so there's no need for external router when setting it up. Just connect the power cable to the power source, and you are good to go.

odimbannamdi:
But can the mini kit get him completely connected to the Internet same way as standard kit? What
PhonesRe: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by ANIKUDI: 3:20pm On May 08, 2025
The price of the Standard kit wasn't slashed, it still remains 590k, they also launched the smaller Mini kit which is now available on their site.

The two options are available when you want to place an order on the site.

odimbannamdi:
I would like to know too. If yes, then it is a good business strategy - crash the price of hardware to get more people to buy, then make more revenue from monthly subscriptions
PhonesRe: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by ANIKUDI: 3:18pm On May 08, 2025
Mini kit is different from the Standard kit.

So he's going to get the complete Mini kit for that amount he paid.

Is it the full kit you bought for 354k?

Port-Harcourt and Benin City now freed up for new activations on Residential Plan, thanks to the new ground station going live at Okun Aja, Nigeria.

20 antennas installed, room for 36 (assuming regular spacing). Adjacent to new Medallion Data Center construction (large building on the right). Likely live, based on recent increased capacity at IXP (200G -> 600G).

What could be wrong? My replacement kit came in directly from the US in less than a week. I complained on Sunday morning, and I got another one in Nigeria on Thursday morning.
Probably, due to the fact that they're upgrading replacement kits to Gen 3.

Try writing to them again and cc: CBN, they should respond faster when CBN is involved.

I had a refund from aliexpress fro an item that wasn't delivered and when I bought the item, I used standard chartered Bank for the transaction and was charged about ₦500 naira to a dollar but on refund I was refunded at around ₦300 for a dollar. I've contacted them and they simply choose to ignore me . Who has experienced such?
I've been a victim of that twice, all you need to do is to contact their customer and explain the transaction in detail to them providing the amount, date, type of transaction made for both the purchase made and the refund received. I don't know why they keep doing that till now, GTB always refunds at current market rates and never try to cheat their customers like SCB does. That's why I stopped using them for AliExpress transactions. After complaints, it will take about six weeks for them to send you the balance after checking their records. You need to make them understand because most times they pretend they don't understand what you're saying, I had to explain severally via calls and mails to get the issue resolved, at the end the balance they sent was still short of the rates I paid but closer to it.

I've attached a sample of the mail I sent to them for guidance.

Lucky Draw Rules:

How It Works:
We will take the final 8 numeric digits of the last Binance Chain hash value at 11:59 PM (UTC) on the last day of this promotion period as the winning number.
We will then use this winning number to match User IDs from the first digit onward. The lucky winners whose IDs have the most consecutive identical digits will win the lucky draw.
If the number of matches exceeds the number of winners, we will then further select winners based on their User IDs in numerical order (UID numbers are assigned by numerical order, so we encourage users to register early).
For example:
Assume that the last Binance Chain block hash value before 2020/12/14 11:59 PM (UTC) is: 3E53A755905113FD1738F0A585D65CE4AC942AAF214625512E30A07FBBA5DFA5
Removing the letters from the hash value leaves us with a string of numbers: 35375590511317380585654942214625512300755
The winning number is the last 8 digit: 12300755.
The user whose User ID matches the 8-digit winning number will be a winner.
If there are no matches for the 8-digit winning number, we will match the last 7 digits with the last 7 digits of User IDs: 2300755.
If there are no matches for the 7-digit winning number, we will match the last 6 digits with the last 6 digits of User IDs: 300755.

Risk warning:
Buying, selling, holding and partaking in futures trading of cryptocurrencies are activities that are subject to high market risk. The volatile and unpredictable nature of the price of cryptocurrencies may result in significant loss. Binance is not responsible for any loss that you may incur from price fluctuations when you buy, sell, hold and leverage cryptocurrencies.
