I would rather invest my money in pure water distribution business than to fix it even if the interest rate is 10%

this business template gives a good understanding of the pure water distribution business

the interest rate I presume is for 1 year. the reason for low interest rates is because banks have so much money. they prefer giving out loan now than to accept fixed deposits. loans come with double digits interest rate to the bank while we get less than half of that in fixed deposit. This does not encourage startups.

In a time when banks don’t necessarily need money inflow through fixed deposits, one bank gives better fixed deposit interest rate more than some other banks. That bank is ACCESS BANK PLC. Firstly lets know what fixed deposit is.

A fixed deposit (FD) is a financial instrument provided by banks which provides investors with a higher rate of interest than a regular savings account, until the given maturity date. It may or may not require the creation of a separate account.

The only downside to fix deposit is inflation. Inflation is the general increase in prices and fall in the purchasing value of money. this means that assuming you have $10,000 and you wish to fix it from the month of May 2016 to April 2017, now if there is rise in inflation, the prices of good will increase and the purchasing power of your $10,000 would reduce hence the value of your money has reduced. The other way is also true. If there is decrease in inflation then the purchasing power of the $10,000 would increase hence leading to increase in the value of the money.

Access Bank Plc, commonly known as Access Bank, is a Nigerian multinational commercial bank, owned by Access Bank Group. The bank’s headquarters is located in Lagos, Nigeria’s financial hub. Access Bank has in excess

of 300 bank branches in Nigeria’s major commercial cities. After the acquisition of Intercontinental Bank Plc,

Access Bank became a larger and stronger financial service provider, with an impressive assets base.

Investing in Access Bank means to securely investing in your future. This is because it is one of the youngest banks in Nigeria, hence one of the fastest growing banks in Nigeria.

Fixed deposit with Access Bank is one with assurance and peace of mind. Below are the breakdown of fix deposit rate for one year. N1,000,000 is with the rate 4.75%

Between N1,000,000 and N10,000,000 is 4.75% to 6%

N10,000,000 to N50,000,000 is 6% to 6.25%.

Please note that there is a withholding tax (WHT) of 10% on the interest earned on fixed deposit. This rate is subject to change by the bank.

For more enquiries please leave a comment and we will respond to you appropriately.

Business / Crude Oil Price Recovering Faster Than Naira, Find Out What This Means To You by anisalome(m): 6:33pm On Apr 30, 2016
[img][/img]

Since the return of President Buhari’s trip from China there has been optimism in the Nigeria’s economic atmosphere. The biggest of them all being the the flexibility of the choice to make use of two internationalized currencies, being the US Dollar and the Chinese Yuan. Nigerians do more than 50% of their imports from China hence the flexibility of using either the Yuan or the USD would be an uncommon victory for Nigerians.

Nigeria currently have started diversification of her economy to other sectors like the agricultural sector, solid minerals power, information technology among others. this is a process will definitely take some time. Right now crude oil remains our economic mainstay and the oil price has started recovering from it losses but the naira in the parallel market remains relatively low at N323 per dollar. The exchange rate’s relative weakness to dollar means the government is earning more from sales of the dollar-denominated commodity. How is this going to affect the life of an average Nigerian?

THE 2016 BUDGET

The crude oil benchmark for the 2016 budget is at $36 as adopted but the National Assembly. As at the time of presentation of this budget by

the presidency their was fear that if the oil price keeps going down the country would have to borrow upto half of this amount in order to meet

up with the budget implementation. But with what is happening right now in the crude oil price there is optimism in the air. The Brent Crude is

currently at $47 per barrel. which is $11 more than the oil benchmark for our 2016 budget. what does that mean right now to our foreign

reserve? With the country’s oil daily export reaching 2.7 million barrel means FG would currently be banking $29.7 million daily. That is a

wonderful news to our foreign reserve as it will help ease the pressure on naira and if this up surge in oil continues then the CBN will start

reviewing its monetary policies on foreign transaction. Which is a great news for business startups.

Business / Great Internet Pioneer Yahoo, Is For Sale As Bidders Line Up. by anisalome(m): 11:54pm On Apr 11, 2016
YAHOO IS FOR SALE, AND BIDDERS ARE LINING UP TO GRAB THEIR OWN, EVER-SHRINKING PIECE OF INTERNET HISTORY.
The once-great Internet pioneer is entertaining offers…reluctantly. CEO Marissa Mayer would like to see Yahoo through its struggles, but impatient investors are looking for a way to cash out.

Yahoo (YHOO, Tech30) has reportedly given interested parties until April 18 to make their offers. The company is expected to fetch something like $8 billion for its core Internet business.

Who’s buying?

The list of interested parties matches the potpourri of businesses that Yahoo operates.

Media companies, such as the Daily Mail and Time Inc. (TIME), are reportedly thinking of making an offer. A Daily Mail spokesman confirmed to CNNMoney that the company is looking at bidding for Yahoo.

Technology companies, such as Google (GOOGL, Tech30) and Microsoft (MSFT, Tech30), are also reportedly looking into bidding for other pieces. Though Google isn’t likely to make an offer, due to antitrust concerns, Microsoft would like to preserve its relationship with Yahoo, providing Bing search results for some search queries. Microsoft had made a $45 billion offer for Yahoo in 2008, which Yahoo successfully fought off.

Verizon (VZ, Tech30) could also be a player. It owns Yahoo rival AOL and other media assets, and the company has publicly expressed interest in taking a look at Yahoo. AOL is like a mini version of Yahoo, with a sizable digital advertising and online content business. Verizon bought AOL last year for more than $4 billion.

Business / Re: What Can You Buy With #5 Naira In Ur Area? by anisalome(m): 1:07am On Apr 02, 2016
Oh! five Naira, what has happened to you that you are so weak as to purchase the smallest of things in the market like a match box or even the children candy. How are the mighty fallen.

When I was a baby, as far back as the 90s, N5 was so big that it could take care of two visitors with 2 bottles of coke. If you then have two of it which is N10 then you can add some cookies to the Coke and make you visitors feel truly refreshed and replenished.
