There's no need getting a separate reference letter. It's known that between every batch there's a 7-8 weeks difference. So on the reference letter employer should write the corp member was retained until a new corp member from camp resumed and took over.
When I took my documents to high commission before getting my visa, the white lady actually asked me the date I left camp to officially resume at PPA and my POP date. I had to explain to her my final employment date was inclusive of the 3 weeks terminal leave after POP.

Regarding the workaround of staying on payroll after NYSC: This can work, but only under very strict conditions.

IRCC allows you to combine work experience to hit the 12-month (1,560 hours) threshold.

However, for that post-NYSC period to count, it must be a genuine change in employment status, not just a payroll extension to bridge a gap.

If you stay on after NYSC, you must ensure:

1. A Separate Reference Letter: The school must provide a new reference letter specifically for the post-NYSC period. This letter must detail the actual teaching duties you performed during those extra months (lesson planning, grading, classroom instruction), not just your dates and salary.
2. Genuine Compensation: Your bank statements must show regular salary payments for that period, distinct from the NYSC allowance.
3. *No "Contrived Employment": If you were already on terminal leave or passing out, and the school merely kept your name on the payroll for 2 months without you actually working, IRCC auditors can flag this as contrived employment.

A Letter of Explanation (LOE) cannot override the lack of actual, documented work duties.

The Safest Pathways:

If your NYSC was 10-11 months, combine it with legitimate, documented work experience you had before NYSC in the same NOC code.

If you stay on post-NYSC, ensure it is a legitimate, duty-filled job with a proper contract and a detailed reference letter from the school.

It is always better to build a bulletproof application with genuine, well-documented duties than to rely on an explanation letter for a borderline scenario.

Be sure of the ministerial instructions of the noc you're going with. If the first job you did before going to law school demands a licence of practice then you can't claim points for that job experience, you claim points for job experience after call to bar.

For salary trail, the company should state it in the reference letter the method they paid your salary. You may need to provide third party evidence like PAYE , pension or NHF since the company name doesn't reflect in your bank statement. This person that remits your salary, was it your contractor? Was there a secondment agreement?
Hmmm, very complex so thread with caution and enough documentation because after PPR this grey sides might be asked inperson before your visa/copr printed

I am 36yrs, a lawyer, I will be the principal applicant for this process, however before I became a lawyer I was in paid salary as a paralegal/legal assistant, after a year & few months at the firm, I got admitted into law school, spent 9 months and came back to the firm still as a paralegal/legal assistant.
After few months I was qualified as a lawyer.

My questions are
1. In respect of the salary, it was paid through another colleague of mine's account who is being assigned to pay salaries.
a.How do I show a good track record in my reference letter about the salary since it's not showing the firm's name.
b.Will I have to get all my bank statements to show the salary payments.

2. No employment letter from the firm.

3. I intend to write French exam to boast my CRS. I would like to ask which pathway will be suitable for me and my spouse. And how do I go about it.

4. I have master's degree and call to bar cert which one do I evaluate.since it both carries same score.

Note. Have done CRS assessment on the IRCC portal n I had 397.

If you're going through french route, and you eventually scale through to ppr. Be ready to present original reference letters of ALL employment history before passport collection. And possibly explain to the officer why a job in your expired profile isn't included anywhere, because your UCI profile will be in a screen Infront of him/her while they verify. GOOD LUCK!

Please, I’d appreciate some advice on a situation regarding work history and potential misrepresentation.

I added a trade job to my Express Entry profile, which is supported by salary payments for the period. I had framed the role as part-time, and it overlapped with my regular full-time employment during the same period.

This employment has already appeared in my expired profiles.

I no longer want to rely on this job for my application and would therefore like to remove it from my current profile and, if I receive an ITA, not include it in my Personal History.

What would be the potential implication of doing this, particularly with respect to misrepresentation? Would the fact that it appeared in previous expired profiles create an issue if it is omitted from my current profile and subsequent application?

I’m particularly concerned because I’m planning to invest significantly in learning French and taking the TCF. I would not want to make that investment if there is a possibility that this work-history issue could ultimately jeopardize my application.

I’d really appreciate insights from anyone who has dealt with a similar situation or has experience with IRCC’s treatment of changes/omissions between Express Entry profiles.

He was recommended and I contacted him to register for monthly class for 4 months.
Paid him for the first month, and not even one class happened.
Why? His ego couldn't accommodate questions. How do I proficiently read in a language I am trying to learn? If I can read it, why do I need him?

We settled for refund and he claimed he was sick and needed time to come up with the payment I just sent him less than a week of July 28th. He managed to refund 60% of what I paid end of August.

I'm a single mother of two teenage sons, lost my husband 10 years ago and have been struggling to cater for them singlehandedly. My first son is 19 and the last 17 years but I'm getting fed up with the disrespect and regret not taking them to the village so I could remarry.
