The fact remains that he(GEJ) and indeed the PDP affected us all in negative ways but continually blaming them is not a responsible thing to do, we know they are at fault so they should stop reminding us and do something positive.
Should sensible Nigerians not ask themselves why despite knowing all these lies that Osinbajo is regurgitating they were promising heaven on earth to swindle us into voting them into power over two years ago huh

Fine, we agree GEJ caused lots of damage but it wasn’t he who started it. Previous administrations of which present APC guys were part of, were far worse the than GEJ’s government, yet he didn’t blame them but performed better than APC.

How long will APC deceive Nigerians? Let them get to work and improve our economy like they boasted.
A lame man will always blame everyone and everything else apart from rake responsibility for his monumental failures.

You've said the Gospel truth. Many elements in this govt contributed to the perceived failure of the GEJ led fed govt to save. I remember this R. Ameachi forcing the Federal govt tro court judgements to disburse funds from the excess crude account (money that could have been saved) to the three tiers of govt and using his own share to build a white elephant monorail.
Every single person in APC is culpable for PDP's failures in the past years.

FG, States, LGs Share N568.4 Billion for Oct
15 NOVEMBER 2013

https://cdn.pmnewsnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Ngozi-Okonjo-Iweala-.jpg

Also, $1billion was proposed for distribution to complement shortfall in expected revenue." The $1billion is a compromise by the FG over its words in September not to augment shortfalls anymore.

Responding to the presentation, the chairman of the States Commissioners of Finance and Ebonyi State Commissioner of Finance, Mr Timothy Odaah, lamented that the statutory allocation was getting smaller and smaller. "It appears this is the worst in terms of returns. This is the least in allocations as far as this year is concerned. We are mourning the dearth of funds and this is a wakeup call for states and local governments to buoy up their internally generated revenue."

While appreciating the "magnanimity" of President Goodluck Jonathan to approve the $1billion from the excess crude account and to be shared among the federal, state and local governments, Odaah expressed disappointment with the returns made by the NNPC.

He said that the states had requested for $2bn to complement for the shortfall in revenue but got only $1billion. In September, Odaah and fellow commissioners had walked out of the Accountant General of the Federation (AGF) when the federal government said that the framework of the 2013 budget was no longer realistic and it won't augment shortfall in revenue. Odaah raised issues with the statutory allocations of previous months.

Maybe if we allowed Jonathan to completely remove subsidy early in his govt like he planned to instead of sponsoring protests in Ojota then Jonathan govt could have been able to save more and plan better ,

May be if people like Buhari and other northern leaders had condemned boko haram instead of clandestinely providing them material and moral supporr to embarass the Jonathan govt then the govt would have had no need to spend so much much on military operations which were alway looted by senior military officers instead ...

Two factors marred and derailed the Jonathan govt and they were Subsidy payments and and the Boko haram insurgency and actors in the current govt provided fuel to create those problems

The canker worm Tinubu was the first governor to turn state house of assemblies to rubber stamps.

The Lagos state national assembly passed a pension bill for elected officials which included Tinubu.

Under the bill, Lagos is saddled with maintaining Tinubu for the rest of his life on the prevailing full salary a sitting governor is entitled to.

The pension bill for Tinubu also includes choice properties bought and paid for by the state in Abuja, Lagos and abroad.

Tinubu also has the choice of 5 executive cars to be replaced every 5yrs
.

Recall also that Tinubu is on record to be the only elected governor in the history of modern democracy to have had 4 deputies in 8yrs!

The man is a rotten egg who spear headed corruption in Nigeria to new levels and the financial bankruptcy of acn states under his leprosy grip is evidence of his systematic kleptomaniac.

ijekul:
As the Judicial Commission of Inquiry set up by the Rivers State Government to probe the sale of valued assets of the state and other matters continued its sitting on Friday, the technical consultant to the state on the monorail project, Arcus Gibbs revealed that  he advised former Governor Chibuike Amaechi against continuing with the project.

Managing Director of Arcus Gibbs Nig Ltd, Wiero Viguezang, however said his company gave the advice only after collecting N22.9bn from the Rivers State Government since its services were enlisted in March 1, 2010.

Viguezang spoke when he appeared before the commission to explain the role played by his company in the monorail project being probed by the commission.

While being cross-examined by counsel to the commission, Dr. Zaccheus Adangor, Viguezang, stated that the monorail project was no longer tenable considering the shortfall in the state’s revenue and the inability of its original technical and equity partners, TSI Nig Ltd, headed by the former military administrator of Rivers State, Brig-Gen Anthony Ukpo (Rtd.), to fulfil its obligations to contribute 80 per cent of its equity holdings.

He disclosed that the state owes his company N1.1bn for its services.
He also said the company had in a letter to the Rivers State through the ministry of transport, in April, made a six-point recommendation to the Rivers State on how to unbundle the monorail project in such a way that the state government can salvage some financial benefits out of the N33.9bn so far invested in the project. The monorail project was originally estimated to cost about Euros2250m.

The technical partner had in its sixth point of recommendation suggested to the Rivers State Government to unbundle the monorail project and approach the manufacturers of the mechanical components and rail tracks in Germany and exploit the possibility of reselling components at a lower price to the manufacturers.

He said the company also advised the state government to consider the option of using the monorail facilities for other commercially viable purposes, mentioning the spaces between pillars and surrounding areas of the monorail project, stressing that the area between Azikiwe Road and the UTC axis could be put into very fruitful commercial purpose.
Viguezang also told the commission that his company and the state government had planned to unveil the monorail project last April specifically to mislead the people of Rivers State into thinking that the project, which has gulped N33.9bn, was still on course.

He admitted that his company wrote a memo to the commissioner for transport to arrange the unveiling of the project essentially for media coverage since the project was “technically uncompleted”.

According to Viguezang, “We actually wrote to the ministry of transport in January, to arrange for the governor to unveil the monorail project in April for the attention and coverage of the media based on the expectation of the people of the state.”

When asked to clarify if the unveiling was to deceive the people of Rivers State into believing that the controversial monorail project was ready, Viguezang admitted; “It was to deceive the people into believing that the monorail project was at last ready”.

The managing director, however, stressed that “apart from the media coverage and public attention that it is expected to generate, the monorail was not technically and commercially ready. Only phase 1a within phase 1 of the project was ready. So, there was no way the public would have been able to use the monorail as at April when we asked the ministry of transport to unveil the project to the media”.

Viguezang admitted that the Rivers State government enlisted services of Arcus Gibbs at the cost of N600 million from March 1, 2010 to December 1, 2010, after the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with TSI collapsed because TSI could not raise revenue to fulfil the payment of its 80 per cent equity share capital.

He stated that part of its role as the technical service provider to the Rivers State government concerning the monorail project was to evaluate and assess the activities of TSI and give an independent opinion to the Rivers State government.

As for me, I encourage people to give willingly as much as they can as the scriptures say in 2 Corinthians 9:6-15. Give to the poor, the needy, the missionaries etc. but do it willingly and not under compulsion.

Let us not also absolve the government of their duties. The church should help as much as they can but the government has her own responsibilities too because they collect tax.
I thought that government does not collect tax from mosques and churches since they are supposed to be doing charity works.
Has that changed?

Presidiot bubu is truly the baba isale of barawos.
The All Poverty Congress aka Association of ProgreTHIEF Criminals, APC will go down as the worst government in the history of our country.

sunnyb0b0:
Timipre Sylva, former governor of Bayelsa state, has retrieved 48 of his property which the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) seized during the administration of Goodluck Jonathan.

According to PUNCH, some of the property are located in Wuse II and Maitama, highbrow areas of Abuja.

Back then, the commission had slammed 50 charges against the ex-governor and arraigned him before three federal high courts in Abuja.

Sylva, who contested the 2015 governorship election in Bayelsa, had accused the anti-graft agency of witch-hunt and political persecution.

The case was subsequently struck out.

A PUNCH correspondent, who visited some of the houses, observed that the inscription ‘EFCC, Keep Off’, on the gates or fences of the property, had been wiped off the buildings while some had been rented out.

The correspondent, who posed as a prospective tenant, was informed that the rent for the property ranged between N2.5m and N6m per annum.

Sixteen units of service apartments at Plot 1181 Thaba Tseka Crescent, off IBB Way in the Wuse II area of the federal capital territory (FCT), cost N6m per annum including a N1.5m service charge.

The building provides seven hours of power supply from a generator. One wing had been painted while the other was under reconstruction.

“When the EFCC sealed off this property, it was rotting away. However, it was re-opened a few months ago so we started to refurbish the property. We have repainted the property and we have started renting the apartments out,” a guard at the property was quoted to have said.

At a block of flats, which comprises nine units (six one-bedroom and three two-bedroom flats) located at 8, Sefadu Street, Wuse, Zone 2, PUNCH was told that the rent ranged from N1.5m to N3m.

“Immediately the EFCC inscriptions were erased, all the flats were taken. There is no vacant apartment now,” the security guard said.

At a property located at 8 Mistrata Street, Wuse II, Abuja, it was observed that the property was a hotel, which charged between N25,000 and N45,000 per room.

TheCable’s efforts to reach Wilson Uwujaren, EFCC’s spokesman, for the reaction of the commission did not yield the desired result as of the time this report was filed.

His telephone line was out of reach, but a text message was sent.

The storey building located at No. 8B, Rudolf Close, off Katsina Ala Crescent, in the highbrow Maitama District, was the abode of a former federal minister who died some time in May 2014.

An impeccable source said: “The property was rented to the Acting EFCC Chairman for N40,000,000 at N20,000,000 per annum.

“Furthermore, the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) curiously awarded a contract to Africa Energy, a company owned by Rtd Air Comm. Umar Muhammad, to furnish the residence at the cost N43,000,000, in a Government where the President is known to have frowned at and rebuked his ministers for requesting N20,000,000 each to secure accommodation and furnish them.

“It is shocking that the man spearheading the anti-corruption crusade of the government will be involved in such a venture. More surprising is the involvement of FCDA in renting a house for EFCC and under what arrangement.”

News Express made efforts to get the reaction of Magu and EFCC but the commission’s spokesmen Osita Nwajah and Wilson Uwujaren did not respond to text messages sent to them seeking their reaction to the story.

when i told them some few hours ago that their boycotting the election wont stop a winner from emerging , one of them was telling some full jackshit about voters register validation and rubbish like that.
mumu ppl just giving politicians free access to funds, i am sure some of those who won today would have lost if ppl had turned out to vote
Very correct.
Those who prefer analysing and complaining with their big education will only have themselves to blame as they are ruled ruined by illiterates and thugs.

What I’m saying is, where was God when my mum was ill suffering and died?

I am not arguing with, it is a genuine question. Why did this happen to me and my family..?
Firstly sorry for your loss.
If you are smart, you will identify the cause of the terminal sickness and whether it is hereditary so you can take preventive measures where possible to avoid the same fate.
If you are smarter, you will work hard to raise awareness about the disease and money for research into its cure.
So are you

a) smart,
b) smarter or
c) none of the above?

I didn't bother to read your nonsense. Why compare Christianity with politics? Are you high?
Why not if not.
Open your mind. Shine your eyes so that you don't get lost.

Wow ...So you did not understand what I wrote up there. Did I say it is a necssecity? Didn't you see where I said you give willingly? And I only stressed the fact that it is good to give (2corinthians 9:6-15).
It is definitely appropriate to not give out of necessity but rather cheerfully and it is good to give.
However it is not good to give for the personal enrichment of pastorpreneurs.

Matthew 25

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

why are u people ungrateful? Buhari should be commended when it is necessary. He can as well choose not to approve overseas treatment for Ekwueme
Was that how bubu and his northerners commended Jonathan when he replaced his one SUV with two after it was destroyed plus $300,000 huh
Or what is good for the goose is no longer good for the gander?
