No problem. Maybe you are the genius strict man with no excuses who knows what we all should be doing.

The truth is that it is you who is being lame - intellectually lazy and unable to analyze and understand clear historical, sociological, economic and athropological issues.

For you it is simple: the black man is lazy, end of.

That, in itself, is lazy analysis. If what I put up earlier in this thread about the temperate zones of the world (including the map) does not teach you anything about the relationship between climate and civilization, then you are of course unteachable.

Enjoy.
Please how is our climate different from what they have in south east Asia?

Thirty years is nothing in the life of a nation, in the evolution of a people, my friend. Nothing.
Especially in the life of a previously subjugated people.

It will take generations to find their feet.
And that is normal.

You don't go to an enslaved people, and declare - "you are now free" - and then return in thirty years expecting them to have risen to the societal hieghts of their ertwhile masters. The heights it took those masters millenia to reach. That's insane.
Everyone was previously subjugated.

Is that not what you mean about intra European wars, including WWII that ended only 79 years ago huh

No one says that positive change is not to be pursued - it simply takes time. Europe was stagnant for a thousand years in the middle ages between the fall of the Roman Empire and the Renaissance. A thousand years. Let that sink in, next time you fret too much about our progress in the last century.

Yes, there are advantages because we live in a modern era, nonetheless there are many in-built disadvantages we suffer from. To mention one close to home, colonialism foistered on us (in Nigeria) an uneven union which compels conflict and will require generations to truly integrate into the unified mindset that engenders growth. Europe had to battle out its own conflicts over centuries. And Nigeria alone is more ethnically and linguistically diverse than the whole of Europe put together.

There is no magic to these things.

It takes time.
Lame excuses to keep us backward forever.

Have we not gotten worse on basic government services and utilities since the whites left us over six decades ago huh

Have Qataris and Emiratis also gotten worse since 1971, the same year that Bangladesh separated from Pakistan after a bloody civil war? Or Singaporeans since they separated from Malaysia in 1965 after their independence a few years earlier?

Sure. Even as far back as 1900, there was a guy telling the whites in South Africa that blacks kids would do just as well if given the same opportunities as whites. Yes, I think generational/inherited trauma is also a factor in addition to socioeconomics. I wrote a post on this a while back.
For 30 years, blacks have been in charge of SA but have failed to create the same opportunities for black kids as white kids, whose fault is that still?

How many years did it take the Chinese, Koreans, Singaporeans, Malaysians, Emiratis, Qataris to shake off the toga of underdevelopment and emerge as developed countries huh

Instead of making progress all round, the blacks in SA have made power supply worse to the point of constant loadshedding.
Thankfully, South Africans had enough sense to whittle down ANC's victory at the polls, unlike us in the giant of Africa who reinforced APC's failure last year.

In the States, there are many misguided social scientists who routinely insist that the statistics disclose that white children have a higher IQ than their black counterparts. The problem I have with this is simple. It is so unnuanced as to fail to take into consideration the socio economic realities of both demographics. The vast majority of black children come from significantly poorer homes, suffer from lack of equal access to the quality educational materials which wealthier people can afford, dwell in crime ridden neighborhoods and all too often in broken homes. In addition to this they have inherited poverty and prejudice in the same way as many of their white counterparts have inherited wealth and privilege. You cannot realistically put both before the same examination and expect the same result.

And yet opponents of CRT (Critical Race Theory) hasten to scream that the black population do not suffer from any overhang of slavery, segregation and racism. A thing so absurd it is painful to think on it. Only a person who believes wealth cannot be inherited would ridiculously claim that poverty cannot be inherited.
If you inherit poverty, must you pass it on after several decades on earth?

Does it not negate your assertion that we build on what we experience/inherit from others huh

Flashback: How Bola Tinubu spoke highly of Buhari in 2015, named PDP ‘Poverty Development Party

National leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu had during the presidential campaign in 2015, referred to President Muhammadu Buhari as the only solution for the security and economic challenges facing Nigeria.

During a mega presidential rally, the former governor of Lagos State recalled how some powerful nations in the world returned to army generals when they were challenged, saying “Major General Buhari would revive Nigeria’s economy”.

He named the current opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP as the “Poverty Development Party saying they had nothing to offer.

His words at the time were; “Every nation has a period of their own challenges, when America was challenged, they turned to one great man, their ex-military general, General Eisenhower. When the French were challenged, they turned to their general, Charles de Gaulle.

“When Britain was challenged, they turned to their general. Today, Nigeria is economically and physically challenged so we turn to General Muhammadu Buhari. He is the right man for the job. If you talk about military experience, he has it abundantly, he has courage, simplicity, he has it abundantly.

“If you talk about great determination, a combination of vision and ability to perform, honesty and integrity, he has it abundantly.

“I laugh when the incapable government, ‘Poverty Development Party’ PDP were talking. They have nothing again to say, they now want to question the qualifications of General Buhari and look for his certificate”.

Following the manifestos in 2015 which projected the APC presidential candidate as a ‘saviour’, Buhari defeated the then incumbent president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan with Nigerians expecting a total change in security and economy.

1. The tax system - I will introduce a luxury tax. You will pay a luxury tax on your third house, third car, third child etc. Nobody needs to own more than two of anything. Taxes will be reduced for businesses that employ over 100 people.

2. Basic education - The knowledge of the mind would be introduced to primary schools. Children would be thought how to think, what to think about etc. The curriculum would also be adjusted to enable children solve real life problems.

3. Beautification - Packaging is everything. The more appealing the package, the higher the value. We should be able to plan our cities. Have business districts, residential areas, house plans should get approval before building commences. You can’t build a 2 bed bungalow in a duplex area, you can’t move in to an uncompleted building etc.

4. The mindset of Nigerians - Nigerians want to see the end result of change but don’t want to go through the process of change. It is because of this mindset that we have leaders who aren’t willing to make changes. They do their eight years and leave the problem for the next president. See when Fashola was seizing bikes in Lagos, they said his govt was elitist. Sanwo was impounding vehicles driving one way, they said he was heartless. We get too comfortable with the status quo. The world is changing everyday while Nigerians are talking about how much rice was in 2014.

Was relaxing on my verandah sometime last week and i witnessed something that had me thinking up till this moment.

For over 2 days a particular pigeon had been visiting my compound and i dismissed it in my subconscious as nothing peculiar. This particular morning though, the pigeon swooped in again, hopped here and there and in one crazy frenzy picked up a piece of discarded rubber material and took off. My eyes followed it and surprisingly it's destination wasn't far, it flew to a piece of erected metal beam opposite my house, curiosity got the better of me and i stood up and observed.
Behold, it had been picking up twigs and sorts for it's partner. The partner was building a nest, and when it arrived she collected the piece of rubber material from the male, tried fitting it in the nest and threw it away when it didn't fit. The male flew took off immediately to get another twig. I somehow forgot about the incident not until this morning i can see both lovebirds cuddled up in a complete nest.

Bam! It hit. Epiphany or whatever you call it. Men are naturally built to be providers and women are home makers.

Don't know what's wrong with this generation and the hype about being woke with women shi. Sounds like a homosexual propaganda to me.
I love women, smart ones, beautiful ones, every one...

It's my duty to provide for the woman i love with what i have at my disposal and it's her responsibility to support me. Together we shall make our abode a Haven. Simple...

Any other thing? Na una sabi.
I'm not weak, neither am i lazy.
I only go women that have interest in me.
I don't simp.

But say i no go provide, that one na lie.
The key is the highlighted portions about women making the home and supporting the man to be a better provider.

What should happen if the woman fails to fulfill her own part of the bargain?

Is that not how feminism- wanting all the goodie goodies from men without matching up with their own homemaking, supporting/submissive role- that is increasing the homosexual LGBTQ propaganda with serious implications on population growth huh

Our problem isn't lack of education; our problem is we haven't suffered enough. And we haven't suffered enough because we largely believe all consequences can be begged, payed, prayed or sacrificed away.

Nigerian democracy is like a flat with ten occupants. Three of the occupants are well-educated and know how to take the country forward, but their three votes can't change anything in the face of the other seven votes from the others who are dumb as fork.

The educated folks found themselves in a situation where they couldn't do anything, but either endure or leave, therefore, reducing the number of capable hands, and increasing the suffering that the dumb ones impose on everyone.

Abacha loot: UK backs US, opposes FG’s plan to pay Bagudu $110m
6th April 2020

The United Kingdom has joined the United States in resisting a plan by the Nigerian government to give Kebbi State Governor, Atiku Bagudu, about $110m (N41.8bn) out of the $155m (N58.9bn) stolen by late dictator, Sani Abacha, Bloomberg reports.

The US, the UK and Nigeria are involved in a dispute over investment portfolios worth $155m traced to Abacha and held in trust for Bagudu and his family.

Nigeria is seeking the approval of a UK court for Nigeria to take ownership of the assets before returning 70 per cent of the proceeds to Bagudu under the terms of a 2018 deal.

Nigeria’s Attorney-General, Abubakar Malami (SAN), has denied ever entering a deal with Bagudu but court papers say otherwise.

The UK government’s National Crime Agency is now “opposing the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s application,” according to a motion filed by Bagudu’s brother, Ibrahim, to the District Court for the District of Columbia in the US capital on March 30.

The US Department of Justice said in February that its Nigerian counterpart is hindering its efforts to recover the allegedly laundered money from the UK.

Bagudu was part of a network controlled by Abacha that “embezzled, misappropriated and extorted billions from the government of Nigeria,” according to the DOJ.

While successive Nigerian governments have repatriated billions of dollars looted by Abacha, who died in office in 1998, the administration of Nigerian President, Maj. Gen Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), says it’s prevented from assisting America’s ongoing forfeiture efforts by an agreement between Bagudu and a previous government in 2003.

Abacha is estimated to have stolen as much as $5bn during his five-year rule.

That 2003 settlement, which was approved by a UK court, allowed Bagudu to return $163m to Nigeria “without admitting to wrongdoing,” according to US court filings.

In return, the government dropped all outstanding civil and criminal claims against him. Bagudu was elected a senator in 2009 and the governor of Kebbi state six years later.

Five years after the US launched fresh forfeiture proceedings against him, Bagudu and Buhari’s administration struck a new deal in October 2018 to transfer ownership of the investment portfolios to the Nigerian state, which would immediately pay 98.5m euros to the Kebbi governor and his affiliates.

The terms of the updated settlement can’t be implemented while Nigeria’s application in a UK court is pending and a freezing order is still in place, according to a motion by Ibrahim Bagudu, who is entitled to a $100,000 annuity from the funds and is contesting the US confiscation efforts.
